    Used to fit

November 23, 2015: Alright, alright, alright! This bra works! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> For some reason, the band isn't as tight as the last two sizes I had (28E and 28F). Maybe Cleo finally listened to complaints of the band being too tight and made their latest color a bit looser? ANYWAY, it's a positive for me! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I don't want to have to wear a pretty bra with an ugly extender! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" /> It would fit me better if I was about a half inch to inch smaller around, but it's max stretch ... was 30" so it works for me. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> It definitely will last me a while like my other Marcies did. A problem I had with my last Marcie was the wires digging in painfully at my sides and sternum. I think that the loosening of the band helped. And surprisingly, it wasn't until the end of the day and a few hours of slouching on the couch reading that the gore started to hurt me. So yay for comfort! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

The fit is nearly perfect. The cups are a tiny bit too wide on the sides (1/4" on my right side, almost 1/2" in my left side, but really, that's not major), and there's a tiny bit of wrinkling over the apex. I don't understand why there is extra fabric there; if I were to fill it, the seam across my breast would actually cause an unattractive dent across my breast if it was all filled! I don't really notice it under shirts, so I'll probably leave it alone, but if it does end up bothering me, it's nothing a quick little hand sewing couldn't fix! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Basically, the upper cup fabric has a bit more stretch than the thick seam.

I understand that the actual bra fabric has poka dots, but they're so faint and the lace is so elegant, the bright white bows with purple tiny dots don't really seem to go with the bra. They seem out of place to me. I might actually cut them off, but we'll see, they might grow on me. (Also, I paid full price for this set, so "damaging" it in any way is a bit nerve-racking to me.) Otherwise, I LOVE the color! To me, burgundy is a bit lighter in color, but any shade of berry/purple works really well with my skin and it's very royal and attractive to me! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

What REALLY boggles me, is that this bra is so similar in measurement to the Gossard Phoebe, and while this bra fits, the Phoebe is WAY too large in the cups. After further analysis, it appears that the Marcie is definitely more shallow in shape, and the cups have more of a < shape (not an extreme cone, but more gradual slopes). On the other hand, the Phoebe cups have a very pronounced C shape, with immediate projection and a more obvious dome shape, so it's much more rounded than the Marcie cups. So while the wire width and cup depths are about the same, the cup shape of the Marcie is for more flat/pointed/shallow breasts, and the Phoebe is for very full and rounded breasts. There is more overall cup volume in the Phoebe, which is why it appeared much much bigger on my less-than-round breasts.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I got the matching underwear! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> The fabric and elastics are VERY firm. I contacted a Bravissimo fitting expert and she said I would be between a medium and small with a 27" waist, 33" upper hip, and 39" hip, BUT the medium was quite tight! While it was comfortable, it's didn't create the smooth silhouette I was hoping for by sizing up from a small. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> I still got some muffin top. Lying flat, the panty waist is 14.25" and stretches to 17", the lying flat hip is 16.5" and stretches to 20." So as you can see, with a max stretch of 34" in the upper hip area, and max stretch of 40" in the hip area, it's only 1" larger than my body measurements, which means I get some angry elastic! I wouldn't have been able to fit into the small without squeezing myself painfully. The panty is still very cute (I LOVE the ruffles on the sides!!!) and I really like the matching set, I just wish it had a bit more flexible and soft give.

    Didn't fit

Well I wanted Marcie to work, but it just didn't. It's a shape incompatibility with me I believe, and a soft-tissue incompatibility. The tight diagonal seam created in cup quadding, while I still had some lace wrinkling on top. Due to the FOT cut going against my functionally-FOB breasts, I sized down one cup and that was the correct decision. A 28G would have been too wide and empty at the top of the cups. But the design of this bra is not going to work for me and my soft tissue and short roots in any size.

It's a bummer, because aesthetically this bra is gorgeous. The shade of beige was very nice on my skin, but the white dots and white lace trim effectively ruined the "nude" aspect of the bra. I have dark enough skin the white accents stood out like bright lights under white shirts https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />

    Hasn't set fit

This color of marcie fits a little bigger than the other colors. It is a bit more open along the top edge. Otherwise, it's the standard, great shape of all Marcies.

I had tried on a Cleo Marcie before (in very clearly the wrong size... 30G! WAY too big!) but this one actually seems to fit fairly well. It's a bit tight, but not uncomfortably so. It feels like the kind of tightness that will resolve itself after a day or two of wear. I also had problems with other Cleos because the gore was too tall and separated my breasts and squished into the tissue, but this doesn't seem to have that problem. Maybe because it...actually fits?! I'm pretty pleased. Hopefully after wearing this a couple days it will feel perfect.

Edited: band still too tight after a couple days wear. Not real happy with how it feels.

    Didn't fit

This is such a pretty bra! I haven't had much luck with the Cleo Lucy and it was suggested I try the Marcie since the top of the cups is supposed to be a little more forgiving. The shape of the Lucy was just all wrong for me, made my girls look very awkward and unflattering, but still fit in a 28G. So I figured maybe I would do better in a 28FF with the Marcie. But the cups were a bit too small, I have a little bit of quad boob. It actually looks great from the front, but when I'm at an angle the cups just ... don't look right. The top of the cup digs in and it gives me a very pointy shape. So I think I might need a 28G in this bra after all.

The wires are just a teensy tad narrow for me but not too bad. Again, they'd prob be better if I size up in the cup. The gore was actually a little tall for my liking but didn't bother me at all. Usually the taller gores will dig into my sternum. But this fit perfectly, and comfortably. The band was a very tight, firm 28. I measure 26-26.5" in the underbust and it was a tight squeeze on the loosest hook! But again, not bothersome to the point I couldn't breathe. It felt nice and snug, perfect for me, without riding up. The straps seemed a bit too far out but weren't falling off my shoulders. I just wish there were 3 rows of hooks and eyes for the larger cup, but the bra still felt supportive. The material is a very sturdy mesh and didn't irritate or feel scratchy on my skin.

I would def recommend this bra! And I'm bummed the 28FF didn't work for me. I will be keeping an eye out for this same exact bra in a 28G (I do like the Teal colorway as well). I just hope it doesn't come down to a shape mismatch instead of a sizing issue because this bra is adorable. I really want it to work!! I'm giving Cleo one more shot with this in a 28G!

    Fits

This bra is so very close to being perfect but the bottom of the cups are just a little too shallow for me resulting in my boobs pulling the whole bra down. Otherwise it fits great on top with no wrinkling or gapping. It's good for full on top shapes but just not projected enough to be the right fit on me.

I love the shape the Marcie gives me and also how well fitting it is [no wrinkling, gaping, quadboobing etc]. I feel the pink is tighter than the purple.

My best fit! This is my favourite bra.
    Pro:
    I love the deep purple.
It contains my center fullness quite well.
Band is perfectly snug for me.
No bottom/side wrinkling & no quadboob.
Gore sits flat and is comfortable.
    Good stretchiness.
I have fairly brood shoulders and the straps are fine for me.
    Cons:
More colours, [I wish I could get a hold of the red]

I've tried four sizes of the Marcie and this one fits me best. I figure myself to be a pretty solid 28F, and the 28FF is this model is perfect. The 28F cut along the top edge a bit. The band is nice and tight, but feels like it would stretch out quickly. That lace pattern is whimsical. It gives a nice rounded shape for an unlined bra which is what makes Marcie so magical.

    Fits

This is for the Candy Pink model.

Picked this up almost immediately after getting the purple version - I'm a Marcie addict! Eagerly awaiting release of the yellow version. Same fit as the purple and turquoise. Maybe slightly smaller than the turquoise, but there are no resulting fit issues. Mainly writing this so the color of the bra can be tied to the measurements I entered in the measurement table.

I would swear the bands are getting tighter and tighter. No complaints, I'll just use an extender, but I would consider trying out a 30 band.
