    • I found this print too shallow, also. I suspicion there was a pattern change for the floral pattern.

    • 1

Love4Pollinators I remember asking if there were any differences from the leopard print and floral, and it seemed no one really had an answer.
I have the floral version on the way, so I'm hoping it fits.

    • I just checked the floral price on Amazon: I'm eager to know, definitively, if there is a pattern change. Looking forward to your review....always :-) :-)

    • 1

Prettyncharmeuse, my experience with the blue animal print Mimi is similar to yours, with the added "benefit" of it being the most uncomfortable bra I own. I never understood what people meant when they complained about Panache wires, until I met Mimi.

My hypothesis is that the Darcy/Juna has softer, flexible cups which allow for projection at the expense of shape; while Mimis rigid cups force the wires below the IMF on projected folk. On me, this means it jams into the bottom of my rib cage (rib flare?) and is only kept from going further by the straps.

I also have the straps at their maximum (I'm only 5'4" and have 1.5-2" overlap on my other bras) and they're uncomfortable after time, again probably due to the bra being pushed down.

I was really excited to see the floral and dot colorways of Mimi, and bought the blue to test it out. Sadly, I'm pretty sure Mimi and I are done.

    • 1

acee how did the blue Mimi fit? I don't think I've seen it yet (in not interested in buying that color, just interested in seeing it)
I definitely get what you mean about the differences between Mimi and Juna. I really wish Cleo came out with more Juna sister cuts. I actually ordered the Juna in 34D because I wanted it that bad.

Love4Pollinators the floral Mimi just went up in price on Amazon a few days ago. In my size it was $43 now it's like $55. I got the floral one from bare necessities because it was $19.99, but I don't think they have a lot left. There's a lot of cheap bras at bare necessities right now. When I was on a laptop a 15% coupon popped up, so I got it for $16.

    • I also thought the wings were very short! If only I could find a bra with narrowly placed straps but tall wings. Then my armpits would be happy.

    • 1

I thought it fit, until I moved. It looked nice, maybe a little empty at the straps due to my short roots and non-existent side tissue. The band was loose, and needed to be on the tightest hook (in my usual 28FF) for support. I also found the thick (relative to Darcy and Comexim 3HC) top of the cup to be very visible under clothes.

I never tried another colorway, so can't compare the fit. The pictures on this site are representative of the blue animal, though.

Darcy in 28FF is my sleep bra, but I quad too much to wear it during the day. Juna in 28G "fit", but the straps were too wide to be comfortable.

I hope floral works for you! It's a very cute bra.

    • Prettyncharmeuse Will you be listing this bra or did you send it back? I tried this in 30DD, and it was so close, but not quite right and definitely big in the band for me. I'm sending it back and have a blue leopard 28E on the way. If it works, I'll probably want the orange one too, but everyone is out of it.

    • So far it is the best bra fit I've found after many tries. I really like wearing it but it does have that one unfortunate problem of being very thick at the top of the cup. I really don't care about seams showing but this is actually a ridge and is much too visible.

    • 1

musica_476 I still have the bra. I bought it from large cup lingerie, which is a UK company. I'm not going to return it, because it would probably cost more than the bra was. I initially was going to buy the 28F, but it's sold out now. I saw your fit reuqest, and thought about you. I'll definitely be listing this bra, since it doesnt fit me.
avakatz the visible ridge is what kept me from spending a lot on the floral Mimi, but since I just paid $17, I don't think that's too bad.

    • Wait, this is not a Juna clone is it?

    • renemy no, it's not. I wish thehave still made Juna clones.

    • Yeah me too. Do you know if they have plans for any more? I can't find this info anywhere

    • renemy I have no idea, but I doubt it.

    • I also got this Mimi from LGL recently. Mine is a 28ff and can say it fits me better than the floral 30f. The floral feels larger due to the band being looser. I haven't measured them yet, but it is possible there is a difference in cup volume also. The 10£ price with free shipping was just an offer I couldn't ignore. :)

    Fits

I see why this bra is hyped up. I passed over this bra initially. The padded bright teal blue bra with polka dots and a bright orange trim seemed youthful compared to my usual black attire/lingerie choices. I now care about fit more than look and I am happy I considered this bra. I havnt been going for padded bras anymore, but this isnt too thick and doesnt have the bulky push up like my old VS bras do. I like the construction, there are two vertical seams connecting 3 sections. The gore may be about what I tolerate for height due to my inner fullness, but I ... think having closer/overlapping wires would bean improvement. The gore/wires are not cutting into my tissue really or pushing into my sternum painfully. After wearing for an hour or two, I notice half of the wire/gore looks like its lifting up a little on one side and not tacking perfectly, but I think it has to do with my bigger breast. I wish the straps were closer together but they tend to be spaced far apart in balconnets. I can wear this but the straps almost feel like they could slide off my shoulders and feel like they would be more comfortable moved in. The 28 band fits better than the 30 band Cleo Juna bra I just bought (and lost on an overnight trip.] I want to try some Polish Comexim bras, or maybe Ewa bras with the straps moved in. This bra is decent and I think I can wear it today, but it is not perfect for me. I am ok the hunt for a bra that works for me.

I am short and petite, narrow shoulders, projected, I think around a UK28G, I believe my roots are somewhat narrow, and due to asymmetry I think each breast has different roots. I use to be even with more top fullness and a larger cup and band size but I lost weight and now have more soft loose tissue on top that swells at certain times of the month or when I gain weight, otherwise I think I am even but functionally FOB with a lot of inner fullness when supported. My breasts seem to almost point slightly east west unsupported but once I support them they seem very close set. I use to wear VS push up plunges 36DD or 34DDD but I realized what a bad fit that was and I am on the hunt to find what works. It has been hard with fluctuating weight. I could try to augment the wires and straps on this but because the cups feel a little small I don't think I will and may eventually rehome this. Thanks!

EDIT: My shoulders ache, not sure if that is related after wearing a couple hours. This bra came used but is a 28 and doesnt seem too stretched, so I am not sure if the thin widely spaced straps are putting pressure in weird places, my back is already messed up though.

I love the look of this bra and the cup structure but I had the same issues with the straps. Like, they were in my armpits lol.
You may want to try a Comexim half cup with straps moved in. Their gores are the narrowest I’ve experienced (I’m also centre full when supported and very close set)

    • The cups seem too shallow... you have some pretty evident quad boob action going on. Did your shoulders stop aching after a while of wearing it?

    • billi09 When I had reviewed this bra shy of a year ago, I had marked it as not fitting due to "quad boob" and strap placement :)

    • 1

margesimpson I know your comment was from many months ago, but just want to say you were sooooo right about Comexim 3HCs, im just trying to regauge my Comexim Size in that style since losing more weight. :)

    Didn't fit

Bought from another Bratabase user to take my first leap into the world of true bra sizes.

I took one look at the package and thought "Oh no there's no way I'm filling this out," and sure enough, the cups looked like they needed double the volume I had. I laughcried at my epic fail, threw the bra into the closet, and tried to forget that I spent money on it.

That was last week. This week I had the bright idea to tighten the straps so the cups would sit more flush with my body. It worked somewhat; now I just get normal gaping instead of hilariously towering walls. ... The tightened straps also caused the band to start creeping up, but I'm hoping that's just a natural symptom of stretchy Cleo bands because I already feel pretty snug in this 30. I probably could've accepted the fit had the cups been cut just an inch lower (I mean, this IS a halfcup bra yeah??). But sadly, I need to size down like the original owner did.

On the brighter side of things, this bra is amazing in every other respect! The main color is a very nice muted cerulean and the contrasting almost-neon coral isn't prominent enough to throw the whole balance off. It's more outgoing than my usual fare but still tame enough for my very vanilla taste. I have a narrow enough tacking gore for once in my life. Wires wrap comfortably, although tbf I've never found painful wires in any bra I've tried. The bottoms of the cups are filled out just fine. The straps don't dig in. But all of this just makes it more regretful that the bra doesn't fit lmao.

    • Sorry it didn't fit you. You could always re-list it here and on r/braswap (reddit). I'm sure someone will want it. You can list bras here on bratabase for exchange or sale, and if you find someone on bratabase that wants to exchange something with you then exchange shipping costs are covered by bratabase.

    • 1

Since the seller listed it on Bratabase, I only thought it was appropriate to put it back here. :0 I thought I did my research but I guess it’s true that you’ll never get the perfect fit on the first try.

    • 3

You can resell it anywhere. Some people cross list it.

    • Yeah Calluna's right, making a post on Reddit Braswap is also a good choice.

    • 1

If you really like this bra, I found a smaller size of it selling on Poshmark that you can try. There’s a 30E UK, so two cup sizes down from this one. However, maybe it might be good to order from a store so you can return if it doesn’t fit and so you can nail down your size better. :) I agree that crosslisting is a good idea on r/braswap!

    • I....think I saw that same Poshmark listing. I try to buy from other users because I like the thought of giving those bras purpose again if they’re just sitting in drawers unworn. I am trying to watch stores for yummy sales though.

I did think about throwing this up on eBay a few days ago at least. I don’t like having my request Braswap post be just a few posts back from my sale Braswap post but I suppose I can just delete the old one......

    Fits

I finally found a padded UK bra I actually like, the print is super cute too, modern but a bit retro. The fit is quite similar to a Polish half cup, full review and comparison on my blog. I only have a couple minor issues with it, the gore is a bit wide, but still manageable, and the straps are only half adjustable and while very thin, they are sturdy not super stretchy.

Such a cute bra! Thanks for reviewing it, I hadn't realized that there was a new mimi pattern out.

I hadn't seen it until Cleo sent it to me, I absolutely love the print. It seems to be a bit hard to find, so I'm guessing it's not in stock everywhere yet.

This bra is pretty great. It is padded enough to hide the nipples and is comfortable. I wish the edge was a little bit thinner because the line of the edge does show up under tight fitting tops but it's not a deal breaker. I am a bit in between 28F and 28FF and this is just a hair snug on my larger breast but I am pretty sure that I would not be able to go up to a 28FF.

    32G

    Didn't fit

I tried this bra on along with a 32FF a couple years ago, but decided to go with the smaller size, in part because I was losing weight at the time. I think that the 32G was technically a better fit in some ways (at the time), despite appearances.

My biggest complaint was and is the thick edge at the top. It causes a noticeable line regardless of how well the cup fits, both in and out of clothes. This is a bigger problem than the seams. If you are quadding at all, it is accentuated by the edge. The edge can also give the illusion that there is ... gapping (when looking from an angle or the side), simply because the bra seems so thick (I do not think the foam is actually as thick as it appears with the bound edge).

It was too shallow at the wire, but the projection was decent overall. Definitely NOT in my IMF. The top edge seemed to gap very slightly, but this was hard to gauge due to the thick binding. The wires were a little wide. The gore tacked hard.

Caveats: I am full on bottom, somewhat soft-tissued, projected, slightly pendulous, close-set, inner fullness, need a lot of immediate projection. I have narrower roots. I am long-waisted and tall for a woman (5'8"). I have a smaller frame, am a bit deflated on top and have some looser skin. It is not super obvious, but likely affects fit slightly.

    28G

    Fits

I'm glad to have finally tried a Mimi. It looks and feels a lot like my Polish bras. The band is TTS for a 28, so just a little big on me. The cups are a good depth, but are a bit wider and taller than I need. I would love a bra with shorter cups, depth of about 9.5" and width about 4.7". Does anyone have any recommendations? Anyhow, this bra is a pretty good fit, supportive and quite comfy. It gives a great rounded and uplifted shape through clothes. I wish this (and all bras) came with cookie pockets, because I get a bit of gaping ... on my smaller side unless my back is straight. This bra can accommodate lots of centre fullness. The seams are almost perfectly flat, so I don't think they will show at all. The straps are not irritating and easily adjustable half way. The straps are wider set than I need, but I don't notice any irritation in my armpit. While animal prints aren't my favourite, I don't really mind it and I got it for a decent price on Amazon. I do like the orange accent stitching and bow. My breasts are narrow and short rooted, very soft and pendulous, bottom and centre full with lots of immediate projection.

    • So you don’t find this one to be shallow and wide? I have always heard that the spot and rose prints were narrow and deep like Polish bras but the animal print was not.

    • Wow Sonya, this is gorgeous! I haven't seen this print before - it is really lovely. It is the perfect animal print for animal print sceptics

    • I've always wanted to try this bra. This looks good on you! Do the straps adjust very long then? I have to have long straps for my tall frame.

    • 2

Thanks, guys. I like this bra enough that I check Amazon regularly hoping for it to be on sale in another print.
Calluna- Nope, I don't find it to be shallow and wide. It has a depth of 9.5" and the width is 5.3, so actually narrower and deeper than my new Comexim 3HCs.
Wilderness- I still have about and inch or so of strap left, so not a ton. And I'm only 5'5" with a shorter torso. My breasts aren't high on my chest, though. If it worked, I bet you'd need them fully extended. If you try it, I'd suggest Amazon for the free returns.

    • I agree on this one! I had some quadding when I was a bit larger, and the cups are a bit wider than I need and the straps a bit wide, now that I lost weight it's one of my better fitting bras but not perfect, still a little wide. I dislike the print Mines in though. It's the blue wirh Polka dots, it feels kind of Juvenile, I'd trade this for a grey floral with anyone in a heart beat lol

    32FF

    Didn't fit

Shape: Projected, even/center full, narrow/tall roots, soft tissue.

THE TAKEAWAY: A lightly-padded 3HC (three-part/two-seamed half cup). The shape and construction are definitely similar to the 32HH - Wellfitting » Liftsational Classic Demi (aka, a Comexim 3HC). One big difference is the lack of a top section, which probably makes this bra friendlier to true FOT shapes. Good for even or center fullness, and at least moderate projection. The outer material is soft to the touch, and the seams are nicely subtle, but unfortunately on me the lip of the bra is pretty noticeable under thinner t-shirts, which stops this from being a true t-shirt bra for me. ... One word of caution is that the straps are quite wide. This bra is a rare Cleo that's comfortable on me in a 30, so you may want to consider sizing down from your usual, especially if you're between bands.

Edited to add: My 32, at least, does not stretch to 36". It definitely only hard-stretches as far as 34". But without distorting the wires? 31.5 is about the limit. This is my problem -- bras that _hard-stretch_ to 31.5" are about my size, but bras aren't categorized by their hard-stretch...

THE DETAILS: I went ahead and tried the blue leopard print because that's what was on sale in my size on Amazon; my plan was definitely to buy the AW16 rose print if it worked for me. Unfortunately...

I don't think this bra provides enough projection for me. In the 32FF, I get pretty major quadding, but in the 30GG - Cleo » Mimi Padded Balconnet Bra (8091) (bought because of 100percentawesome's spot-on advice to size down) the bra shows its true colors, quickly sliding down out of my IMF when left unattended. (I'm wearing it right now, and I keep glancing down to see that it looks like the GG suddenly fits, only to tug it up back into my IMF and see the return of the gaping.) This makes me think that the 32FF is giving me orange-in-a-glass, which is well-disguised by the firm padded cups.

This bra would work better for me in 30GG if I were more FOT or had more outer-fullness (which would fill out the outer gaping in the 30GG; it looks pretty perfect in the center, but the rest of the bra casts a wide shadow on my tissue), but I think ideally I would also be less projected. Still, that this works on me at all makes me think it can definitely handle at least SOME projection. The gore is also a smidge wider than my ideal, but gores so rarely bother me that I didn't even notice until I _really_ started inspecting the fit.

But the biggest dealbreaker might actually be the strap wideness. When I wore a 34, I frequently had problems with straps being too wide, but on smaller bands it's usually less of an issue. Yet in the 30GG (and maybe even especially in the 30GG, versus the 32FF), the straps are basically in my armpits, and I think it would definitely get uncomfortable over time.

Nuts, I'm sorry it didn't work out for you! I wish there was some good way to quantify depth at the wire, since it seems this bra has worked out well for some of us who are projected, and others not. It's particularly a head-scratcher in this case because I think our shapes are a close match, you're just in a larger cup size. Maybe the scaling is a little wonky? You mention how wide set the straps are as well as feeling like you need more outer fullness - how would you say the wire width is for you?

    • 100percentawesome It could totally be a scaling problem, or it could be me being between cup sizes in this particular bra; there's a pretty dramatic difference on me between the 32FF and the 30GG. (Apparently I hadn't added the pictures yet, which... annoys me, because I thought I'd waited to review this bra until they'd been approved, but apparently I got this one confused with the 70HH - Comexim » Small Quail Plunge Bra (454) and the 32GG - Anna Pardal For Comexim » Florence Nuance Plunge. Nuts.

I wish I had tried the rose print, though, so I could be sure it wasn't also somehow a colorway issue.

    • 100percentawesome I realize that you asked a specific question!

The wire width in my size is completely fine. The 30GG is markedly taller than the 32FF, though; about half an inch taller. (Also interestingly the 30GG has thicker straps; I don't think I've noticed that before between sizes that are so close together.)

    • Ah, you experienced the GG divide with this one, then. If I recall correctly the construction of Cleo & Panache bras changes beginning with GG cups. That's actual super useful info (taller cups, thicker straps after the divide) and might be worth highlighting in the review of the 30GG.

As for the wire width, I was thinking some of the issue with the cups could be due to it, but it looks like it could be the combo of the cup shifting due to not enough protection (or OiG, if not wide enough) and being a bit too tall (at least in the 30GG).

    • That's a really good point, and I will do this. :) It's been a while since I ordered a GG cup (lost some boob when I went off hormonal BC), and I don't think I was often comparing it directly to a non-GG cup when I was!

Yeah, the wire width in this case is fine, but that was a good question. I do wish I was more confident in my cup volume measurements but I find them so tricky. I wish we could measure depth the same way we measure cup height (that is, by running a tape measure down the inside of the center of the cup from top to bottom, rather than trying to find the deepest horizontal part of it), because I just don't know where to put the tape measure and fiddling with it makes me increasingly lose confidence in the accuracy of the measurement.

I think I'm like, in a properly measured ~5.5" cup I would want just a smidge over 10" of depth, but the shape of the cup has such a big impact on how it fits me that the same depth in one 5.5" cup can quad in another... le sigh.

    • rainbrasspetals I feel you! I always doubt my depth measurement and it is SO dependent on cup shape that it's sort of useless anyway. By the depth measurement the Mimi *shouldn't* actually work on me, as it's not nearly as deep as my best fitting bras, but there's something about the shape that makes it work. It remains a mystery. All I have to say is if Amazon Prime goes away (with all the free shipping and returns!) I would have a dreadful time finding bras that fit.

    • 100percentawesome Gosh, so very agreed. Without Amazon Prime, I wouldn't have ordered a Cleo Hettie today. Knowing that I can try it on, and return it for free, is a huge boon. I've never actually tried a Lily or a Lucy or a Minnie, I don't _think,_ but Amazon Prime makes it very easy to fix that. :)

The Mimi didn't fit me, unfortunately. When I'm sitting down, it fits okay. However, if I move my arms up, even just a little bit, the bra will 100% ride up on me even though the band isn't too big. The cup is seamed, but the material is stiffer which gave great support and roundness. Unfortunately it's a shape mismatch. The Mimi seems to be a bit too narrow (or is it too projected?) for me. The straps aren't fully adjustable. They are not long enough for me for some reason and the adjustment rings sit almost on my shoulders, which cause shoulder pain and red marks, if I have a heavy backpack on. The 32DD Mimi has longer and more comfortable straps but unfortunately didn't fit me either.

This bra is not owned any more

I love the fun print of this bra. There's a nice, thin layer of padding- not a boost, just enough to hide my nips and make it a decent t-shirt bra. The straps fall off my shoulders and the gore doesn't quite tack- This bra is the wrong shape/style for me. The band is very stretchy- I usually wear a 38 and this is a 36, I wear it on the tightest hook. It's still pretty comfortable though. The cups are a little shallow for me but gives me a bit of sexy cleavage.
