I don't know if this is better in the other colours (mine is bright pink from several years ago), but the band on this bra is very firm, and the underwires are...not. So instead of the band stretching, the underwires wrap around to my back. It might be a little better in the 28H, since then my boobs would provie some pushback, but it's too stabby for me.
This a very lovely bra - pretty style, colour and shape. However, the wires just run too wide for me and, in my size (28HH/J), this is common occurrence due to pattern grading. The wires ran quite far behind my armpit and therefore left creasing under the cup, leaving me unsupported. Somehow, despite measuring as a true 28inch, the Marcie bra band has expanded to 30inch in just a few months so it is now worn on the tightest clasp. Not sure why this happened.
I would say that this bra runs true in the cup and band. I fitted the cups well as I am quite balanced in ...breast shapes, although I need a good 'swoop and scoop' to get into this bra. The Marcie probably not suitable for a "full on the bottom" breast types either. Also, if suit plunges because you have a lot of breast tissue near the gore, I would not recommended this to you either. Despite keeping and wearing the bra as it is the best I have at the moment, the gore is very narrow, painful and a bit high for me. Read more 80 more words
I really want this bra to work for me, but it's just not a good fit. I'll probably keep it and wear it anyway. The band is pretty good for me, not as tight as it could be but comfortable. The gore is too wide and the wires are way too wide for me. I love the color, the polka dots, the bra all around. But it's just not one for me. Color is a pretty aquamarine, bright and pretty. I love the straps. I like the two hooks over three.
This is one of those bras that seems large at first when you put it on. But after swooping and scooping, some time to settle into the cups, and strap adjustment it fits fine. The appearance that it doesn't fit is at the top of the cups, but once it is given time to settle around the body the wrinkling goes away. I do find the wires to be too wide, just like I do with all my bras.
Material is a bit scratchier then what I like, I find it a bit irritating at the area where the under arm joins the strap. I like the two hook/eyes instead of three, but many women would find this to be a problem. We will see how wash and wear changes the scratchy feeling, will update the review after time.
Such a pretty bra! it looks like Mario from Super Mario Bros https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
I bought this in a smaller back size in order to wear an extender for bit with it because the next back size has wider wires which aren't so good. This 28 back has the same measurements as my black 30 back Zia so i think it is fairly true to size.
I've not yet worn it, so i will update about poking / prodding etc when i have had a chance to wear it for the day.
This bra is super cute and I'm really comfortable in it. I'm not sure if it'll continue to be comfortable for the whole day, though- we'll see. The band is definitely a bit big- I can fit my whole hand under it pretty easily, even on the tightest hook. I feel compelled to tug on it occasionally to check that it's in place. But it still manages to be supportive and it hasn't started riding up yet.
The shape is great- nice and round and perky. It looks pretty awesome, even under the frumpy T-shirt I'm wearing now.
I'm on the fence about the cup size- if I'm standing normally I don't quadboob, but it does happen when I move my arms back or up at all. I'm not sure if that's bad or just normal?
Anyway, I'd rate this very highly in general. It's the first Panache bra I've had that's really been close to fitting perfectly, and it's only slightly off in the size. Wish they'd make it in sub-28 bands, though!
Everything about this bra fits... except for the lacy part at the top of the cup, which is way too loose. Otherwise, the shape is very nice. Since the fabric is stiffer than some other Cleo bras, the band runs a bit snug.
How did the bra turn out?
