This bra is prettier in real life than in the pictures. I like black back part of the band. The top of the cups are sheer black with pretty detailing. This bra's fit doesn't remind me the Pixie, because the upper part of the cups isn't all baggy like the Pixie. Now that I looked in the mirror I'm noticing some bulge I don't know what that means. I can't see it from the front so it isn't that much. I can see it from the sides though. The band is nice and firm and it has fully adjustable straps, which is great. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I am close-set with center fullness and I would have to alter the gore of this bra to wear it. It's the easiest alter, I would rather trade this bra with someone who wouldn't have to alter it.
is the bulge where the lace begins? because I get that a lot in constructed like the Millie. It's like quadro boob within the cup. It's really annoying because bras like that give me my favorite shape but under a thin blouse it's visible. I put it down to soft FOB boobs that can't "shape" the lacey part from within,
No it's on the upper part before my armpits. If you click on wellfitting link and look at the model with the blue long line bra, it kind of looks like that. Like side wires are wings aren't quite long or high enough. IDK, you can't see it from the front but I can see from the side view. It's not a lot, but I notice everything. I like this bra because I don't get bagginess on top and in cup quad boob at all. I do have to take the gore in, if I decide to keep it, just because I have close-set boobies. I get the quadro boob within the Cleo Melissa which also feels way too small in a 28F.
It fits!! This is the first bra I've gotten that actually fits without any need for alteration! Plus, I really like the rounded shape it gives me, and the color is an awesome electric blue (Malibue Blue).
The bras that fit me best at this moment are mostly in 30dd (EM Femme Fatale and Cappuccino, Cleo Meg), my Cleo Melissa and Bella are still ok in the cups, but the underwires dig into sternum which means the cup is a little bit too big. I also read some reviews saying that Pixie runs a little big in the cups, so I decided to go for a 30dd and it seems it is the best fit possible.
The cup volume is similar to Cleo Meg, but the shape is slightly different, more rounded and the cup edge isn’t so closed. The only signs of a to small ...cup is a kind of bulging (filled with my soft breast tissue) I get on the horizontal seam, a kind of in-cup quad boob effect, and a little low wings/cups under the armpits, but it’s not enough to go up a size.
As all Cleo bras, Pixie gives a great uplift, the wires are narrow and the band is firm. The only difference are a little wider straps.
My only little complaint is about the cup wrinkling on the smaller breast (visible on the pic). I wouldn’t put it down to a too big cup, but a different breast shape. Read more 98 more words
The Lucy runs true to size, with a tight band, wide wires, medium height gore, and a classical 3-part balcony shape. It worked well on my wide root shallow boobs with medium projection. I am even shaped and the Lucy is known to work well on full-on-bottom to even; but it will cut in on full-on-top boobs.
Comparing the two colors I own, I noticed that the band runs stretchier on the yellow than on the navy. It might have something to do with the dyeing process: Fabrics in dark colors always run a bit tighter/less stretchy than brighter dyes. Also, the yellow one is a little bit more closed on top (the lace part is tighter), so it's cutting in slightly.
This is a very nice bra with a good balance between T-shirt bra and not-too-boring https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> However, it's true that the lace shows a bit under tight tops. Other than that, I hope the band holds out, because it's already starting to feel a bit too loose. I found the bra in nude to be more comfortable than in black, but I needed a black straps bra, so I chose it (I'll try and hunt a nude one off ebay or bratabase eventually https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />). Very good standard bra.
I ordered this bra along with Zia (30DD), one more bra: Cleo Bella balconnet in the same size, because the price was super ok and I wanted to experiment a little, knowing that Bella is a little more open on top.
As I said in the previous reviews http://bra.pe/SDQq/ and http://bra.pe/SDQw/, , I have even to slightly FOB breasts...or this is what I believed. Buying this two bras with that little difference (openness of the top part of cup) made me confused about my boobs shape..and that's because Bella fits me better than Zia in the upper cup.
As you can see in the pics, ...the fit is really great!! I fill completely the entire cup, its bottom, its top. The outer edge of the top isn't resting on my flesh like the Zia's and the lace forms no slight wrinkles.
The appearance under clothes is soooo beautiful!! My chest never looked that great in an unpadded bra, seriously. Even my mother couldn't believe that I bought soft bra (without padding). Shape is very round and lifted and it looks like the bra is enhacing the size.
Underwires:I have this problem with Zia too (Bella has identical wires), and I concluded that I will have it with the majority of Cleo bra: judging from the light red marks they leave around my chest, I can say they are wider by 1/2 cm than it should, on my bigger boob. I find it to be minor thing as I feel it doesn't change the support or anything. I'd wish the wires had aprox the same width, only the ends would go straight up and not diagonally (the last aprox 1 cm of them in the armpit area). This would be perfect, so that I just ordered Freya Arabella to make a comparison between Cleo bras and Freya's.
Also, the materials are excellent, very sturdy and resistant. Read more 207 more words
This bra didn't work for me. The wires are a bit too U-shaped and the gore is too low for me. I also had problems filling out the top of the cups and they gaped a bit. I could have lived with all of that but the bra ended up hurting my sternum a lot after a few hours wear (which is probably due to my Pectus carinatum).
Otherwise it's a very nice bra, the material is soft, the wire width is medium to wide and the cups are shallow but very open on top. It also has very nice details, so it's a basic bra but not boring https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
I'm shallow and 'balanced' shape (neither full-on-top nor full-on-bottom). I have high breast roots and boob tissue up to my collar bones. The Cleo Marcie (6831) in the same size fit well.
The cut of the both bras seems similar, and they indeed have the same band, gore and wires. The difference is just in the fit of the cups.
The upper section of the cup of this bra was wrinkling quite badly. The rim of the cup is slightly cutting in and the upper section is wrinkling at the same time.
I guess the Meg is a) more projected in the cups and b) more closed on top, so it's not compatible with my shape.
This just might be my new favorite bra! It fits almost identically to the Cleo Lucy. (It seems as though the lace of this bra may accommodate a tad more upper fullness.) The fabric/mesh is heavenly soft (it is THE softest bra fabric I've ever felt), and the color is a lovely dove grey. The coral embroidery is bright, but certainly not neon. It's a very difficult color to catch on camera, and most of the photos I've seen make it look either orange or much brighter than it really is. The lace edge of the cups is a sweet leaf and dot pattern, and the coral flower bursts create something that is both delicate and fun.
This bras fitted me a few months ago. I haven't put on weight so I can't really say why it doesn't fit anymorehttps://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> My problem with Meg is that 30dd is to small and 30e too big. In 30dd the top of the cup cuts in, but the underwires are perfect. I've tried 30e, the underwires were a little bit too large and I couldn't fill the top of the cups. The cups are deep but quite closed on the top. It seems that I'm not compatible with this model anymore.
The bra is made of mesh, and the cups have two layers of mesh. It's quite comfortable to wear and the straps are skinny enough to wear under tank tops. The orange version of the bra has contrasting blue embroidery.
Fit:
This bra fits fantastically. It gives a nice rounded shape. I didn't have any wrinkling. The only issue I had was the band. It technically fits ok, but I was able to get to the tightest hook without any problems, so I will be getting the 28E instead.
i got this bra on july 30th, 2021, it's not my most COMFORTABLE bra but it *is* my Best Fitting bra- not falling through or swimming in the cups, etc. -it's very pretty and i love how it looks! -due to having no padding it seems to Always have wrinkling in the cup? but my breast tissue is fully in it, no gaping at the top or bottom- or at least i think so? the bottom of my breasts take more of a sloped (like \ ) shape than an outright Round shape (like a C laying on it's back), but that's probably more due to my shape (i couldn't tell ...you what i am but i'm definitely at least Somewhat shallow) than the bra itself or the fit. probably. -the material used in the... band? wings? Fabric Inside The Band, But Not The Hook Area, And Not The Edges/Elastic Of The Band, is a LOT stiffer than i expected!!! it's not uncomfortable by any means and it does still have a LITTLE stretch, but it's not, like, the bathing suit material level of stretch i'm used to with my old 34b's etc, lol! -the underwire cuts into the outer side of my breast, but only on the bigger one?? on my smaller one the only issue i have with the underwire is if i fiddle with Where i put the bra too much then it clacks against my ribs so much (and that applies for both cups, not just the smaller one)!!! but on the bigger one if i wear it for more than a few minutes the outer side of my breast under my armpit feels bruised and tender/sensitive/sore (no actual bruising is happening, no marks either, and the feeling goes away after a few minutes after i take it off, it just hurts a good amount.). if i try to adjust the outer edge of the underwire Alone on my bigger side then i can never get comfortable and keep adjusting it over and over- which isn't great if i'm in public etc, lol! -the underwire is most comfortable right after i put it on and scoop & swoop, any fiddling or 'hmm is that Supposed to be there? -adjusts it-' causes the underwire clacking against my ribs, cutting into my bigger side's outer breast tissue, etc. but it's worth noting it does definitely still cut in on the outer bigger breast's side if i haven't fiddled with it at all, it just takes longer for it to actively hurt or be noticeable, whereas fiddling with the underwire there means i straight up can't stop trying to fix it unless i take it off and put it back on again. ahhh!!! -i haven't noticed any itching with any aspect of the bra at all, band strangling me aside it's very comfy and easy to settle into. the straps are a smooth ...satin-y? material with very very faint almost-lace on the outsides, the inside of the wings/cup edges have an ....almost velvet-y??????? material, and is soft and smooth. the lace on the top of the cups might be bothersome if you have issues with lace in general? but overall the bra is soft and smooth and comfortable (band aside, for me). -my armpits swallow up the straps!!! i don't know what it is but only in the armpits the straps cut in!!! -also, even on loosest ...setting?? with the straps, i feel like i can't move my arms very freely. i CAN, but it takes more effort and more pulling and just overall fighting the straps to do stuff that isnt holding my arms down to my sides. the <- strap tends to feel a little bit Too Loose somehow??? but that might just be cause the other one is restricting my movement-level tight, but the looser side Does feel like it wants to fall down my shoulder sometimes!!! idk if this is an issue of the bra or an issue of 'i am not espescially even in my body and i'll just have to leave one strap tighter for all my bras', lol -the lower outermost hook bent, instead of being square-shaped its more triangle-shaped now, with the point being where it's sewn to the bra, i CAN'T tell if it CAME like this or if that was with my struggle with putting a close-to-properly-fitting-bra for the first time damaging it, lol -idk if this is an issue of the bra or another sign the band's too tight or me not taking it off right but every time i take it off without an extender it SNAPS off and if i'm unlucky it'll hurt my hands for a little bit! like trying to use a hairband as a slingshot but it just hurts your hand, lol -my biggest qualm with this bra is just that the band is so so so tight!!!!! i wore it for several hours at a party a week or so ago and after that WOW did the outer side of my bigger breast hurt!! at first i couldn't wear it for more than a few minutes, one time after wearing it for ~10 minutes it was hurting a LOT and breathing was difficult, and when i took it off it felt like my lungs were caving in (they weren't btw) and my breathing was reversed? if that makes any sense?? i got an extender with it but due to the extender having a like two-inch strip of very stretchy elastic just There it ends up making it feel too loose, i get LOTS of ACTUAL wrinkling+gaping in the cups, and it's just overall uncomfortable. -the band and the straps digging in to my armpits aside, this is still my best bra and what i choose to wear when ppl are going to see me, and a VAST improvement from the 34b's i WAS wearing. i don't regret getting this bra at all, never planned on returning it, and even if i manage to get more comfortable bras i'm still glad i got this to figure out where to go from here and for comparison with other bras and what issues they have/dont have in common- for now and for the future! This bra seems like a good fit for my projected but short rooted breasts. This is the first bra I've ever owned where one strap doesn't continually slide off my shoulder! It is comfortable and seems well made.
I am totally obsessed with rose print, so I've wanted to revisit Mimi for a long time despite this not working for me when I tried it in this size about a year ago. At the time, I was a pretty standard 28DD/30D, so I found both the band and cups to be far too big on me. Now, even though I am still a 28 band, I can get away with some 30DDs without band alteration due to increased cup size and fullness. Because of this, Mimi in 30DD fits almost perfectly, though the band is still a little loose and a 28E/28F would ...be preferable. At last, I've gotten my hands on the rose print Mimi!
In my current size, I found Mimi to fit very similarly to my Freya Summer Haze Padded Half Cup in 30DD. Both bras are 3HC styles, and have similar cup measurements and band measurements, though the main difference is that Mimi is slightly more open on the top than Summer Haze, and Mimi uses thicker foam padding that feels like memory foam, while Summer Haze is made with lightweight batting. Both are good for even shapes that are not too FOB or FOT. Both bras give me a rounded and lifted shape that looks great. I think compared to the Fantasie, Fauve, and Comexim 3HC styles, Mimi and Summer Haze are more immediately projected and more closed off at the top, which is ideal for my shape. The shallower and more open styles just don't really suit me. Note that seams are slightly more visible on Mimi than Freya Summer Haze or Patsy due to the thicker padding, so this is not great for wearing under very tight clothing.
In this size, Mimi fits quite well, though I feel that the wires could be a bit longer on the sides for me, and I could use a little bit more depth in the cup. I am measuring closer to 28F these days though, so many 30DDs feel a bit small in the cup. Therefore, I'd say that Mimi's cups run TTS, but the band isn't the tightest. My 30D and 30DD Cleo Marcies feel much more snug in the band. So, better to stick with your normal band size as sister sizing up may end up being a little too loose.
I'm not a huge fan of Mimi in the animal or polka dot prints, but I do love the rose. The background is slate grey, with a blue cast, and the design is of pink English roses with olive and chartreuse leaves. The print runs throughout the bra in the front, extending to the front straps, while the band is solid grey knit. The printed fabric is pretty standard lightweight knit used for many printed bras (similar to Freya and Fantasie). The band is single layer fabric, and it's on the thinner side, so this might be why the band doesn't quite feel as secure as a thicker fabric or firm powermesh. When I hook this on the tightest hook, it stays in place, but I think after some wear, it would be better altered down. 3HC styles don't give the best lift and shaping without a properly fitting band.
Cleo always plays with pops of color, and the rose print has chartreuse picot edging under the cradle and under the binding of the cup edge. Hardware and center gore bow are both pops of fuchsia. It's not too fancy, but a little unexpected, and I think the color combo works quite well. Other than the slightly flimsy band, one thing to note is that the straps are only partially adjustable, as the front is made from self fabric, and the elastic is medium width plain elastic. I wish they would've gone with a wider, textured option like on the Marcie to avoid slippage and provide better stability. Still, Mimi is a solid option, and if you are still able to get your hands on it, give her a try, and if the fit isn't quite right, try sizing down in the band to get a better fit in the cups. Animal print is totally not my thing, but I liked the fit of the Rose Print Mimi enough to pick up another one, and Orange Animal happened to be the one that's available. This bra fits very similarly to my Rose Print Mimi, as both are 30DD, but the left cup on this bra is slightly smaller (the right cup measures the same), so it feels slightly smaller on me overall. Fortunately, the left side is my smaller side, so it works out.

Orange Animal is a standard small-scale brown animal print with accents of orange coral. The print runs throughout the bra in the front, extending to the front straps, while the band is solid black knit, with black elastic adjustable straps. Unfortunately the straps are only partially adjustable and the elastic is medium width plain elastic, instead of a wider and textured option to prevent slippage. The printed fabric is pretty standard lightweight knit used for many printed bras (similar to Freya and Fantasie). The band is single layer fabric, and it's on the thinner side, so this might be why the band doesn't quite feel as secure as a thicker fabric or firm powermesh. I'm thinking of picking up the Blue Polka Dot in a 30E to try a size up, but for now, this Mimi makes a good everyday option, as long as you aren't wearing anything too tight due to the visible seams. Read more 453 more words
This bra is extremely pretty. The black lace overlay on top of the dark blue looks so nice. It's not really a longline, but it is longer than your average bra and has three clasps rather than two. The band is firm, stretching to exactly 30 inches, which could be because it's a dark color. As much as I wanted this bra to work, it is an awkward fit for me. The elastic at the top of the cups cuts into my tall roots and there wasn't enough projection at the bottom of the cup for me. I have tried the other version of the Piper longline and it also didn't fit. The elastic at the top of the cups still cut in, but I have some wrinkling between the horizontal seam and the top of the cup. I read that this bra was a tough fit before purchasing, but it was so pretty I was convinced I could make it work. Alas.
