Shape is incompatible with me and the cups are too wide. There's is space out near the armpits while I spill out the center. It's a cute bra but it just plain doesn't work for me.
The band is pretty firm so that's nice, but it would be better with 3 hooks (but I have that opinion for every bra).
I like the fabric pattern and the way it feels. Sorta 'shishy', by which I mean the noise I make in my head when I run my fingers/had across it. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" /> It does pill a bit but I don't care much about that.
A few months back, I bought this bra in 28G. However, upon wearing it, I find the top part of the bra cuts in my breasts, so I sold it to my friend who is the same size as me but with FoB breasts (I'm FoT). It suits her better with minor flapping on top. I was pretty heartbroken to let the bra go because I'm in love with it.
Cue a few months later, I'm still thinking about it, so I want to give it another try, but this time in 30FF. I thought, maybe the 28G I bought was really tight on me so it distorted the ...bra shape and cuts into my breasts. That could be a possibility.
Wearing this bra again in 30FF, I find that it fits me perfectly! The band stretches just a shy away from 30". The top doesn't cut in, the wires are low on me, the fabric is so soft, wire width nice and narrow. So yeay! This bra works on my slightly even/FoT breasts! The shape is the usual Cleo shape, lifted and round.
In conclusion, I really do think the 28G I bought the first time was too tight on me, hence distorting the shape and fit of the bra. Read more 100 more words
Man, I think I have an irrational love for these Cleo balconnet-style bras. They're all so colorful with cute patterns. As soon as I saw a Zia Balconnet online I knew I had to have one. While the last Cleo balconnet I got was a Meg Balconnet in 28GG, I'm glad I did my research and got this in a 30 band. The Zia is known to be tight. I opted for 30FF because 30G was not available and, crap, it was on sale. I figured if the cups were ridiculous, I'd just return it.
And no kidding, when I first got it, ...I took one look at it and was like "Did I order a 28FF by accident?? SHITTTT D:" The band looked TINY. Nevertheless, I gave it a whirl. You can't judge everything on appearances because I had no problems fastening it. Finally, I get to use the outer hooks! No using the middle or first hooks right away with this baby.
But does it work with my boobs? Well, it makes them a little pointy, not like with the Meg, which gives a more rounded shape. But like the Meg, the bra attempts to place my stubbornly splayed breasts in a more front and center position. So, pointy breasts aside, it looks pretty decent under a t-shirt. The gore also doesn't come up so high, like in some unpadded models (Wacoal, I'm looking at you!). What I also like about this model (and other Cleos I have) is that it doesn't gouge out my armpits. It seems like the underwires on a lot of bras, especially once you get into the G range, decide to make themselves at home in my armpits. Or the straps get too wide set for my narrow shoulders. It is the curse of the slightly petite :'(
The fabric is stiff: stiff enough that the cups hold their shape and are not flimsy but not so stiff that they would be nasty and scratchy. The straps are rather thin at a half an inch. The lace top portions are soft enough.
There are some minor fitting issues that I feel have more to do with the shape of my breasts than anything else. The top part of the cups cut in a little bit. Were I more full on top, that fabric cutting in would really be an issue. It could be that 30G would have been a better option. I'm not giving up on this bra yet! But I probably won't be able to wear it when I'm close to my period.
Overall, I give this bra a thumbs up, despite the pointy boob action. Read more 338 more words
All my Cleos are 30FF. I usually take a 28G in other brands, but have always found Cleos to run extra tight in the band. Yet while the 30FF’s that I already own fit close to perfectly, Darcy is too big in the band and too small in the cup.
Aside from the fit issue, the print and color are just darling. The red, white, and blue heart-shaped leaf print is a wonderfully modern combination of nautical and girly. And miracle of miracles, the pattern continues onto the wings.
The seams are flawless—they don’t show at all under tops. I also quite like the straps: They have a horizontal stripe texture that holds them in place nicely and adds just a touch of extra visual interest. Besides the off sizing, my only other complaint is that the red lace along the cup edges sticks out from my chest, but even that isn’t noticeable under clothes.
This bra is available 28-38 D-G. Cleo's current season I find fitting more consistently true to G-cup in size than previously. See: Lucy SS12-Yellow 30G (http://bra.pe/R4D/) and Alexa 30G (http://bra.pe/R2w/).
My anticipated size 30G was out of stock so I decided to play with the sizing a bit and see if anything else might work well. Based on one review I thought instead of the cup fitting well that it might even be a bit larger so maybe one size down could work.
The 30FF band is nice and ...fitted but the cup is just a bit smaller and seems a true FF. 32FF is nearly a perfect bra save the fact I went straight away to the last hook. And based on all my research as well as personal experience Cleo bras are known for being stretchy. Sasha (http://bra.pe/S1A/) stretched out to the final hook in 6 months! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> 32G is of course too big in the band for me although the cup is okay if just a tiny bit wider than necessary. I wouldn't say it is uncomfortable. If it were made in a slightly smaller equivalent of say 30GG I would likely be hard-pressed to decide between a 30G and imaginary-30GG in this style. It covers more on top, for sure.
Side wings are actually quite low and remain a pretty perfect and comfortable height throughout all three bra sizes. Cups give a beautiful rounded shape on all three. Straps are the same exact width at 1.6cm. The only small difference I found between the three was the 30FF gore width is about .2cm wider, very negligible but worthy of pointing out.
Although highly likely to be too-small-in-the-cup I wish I could find a 30G and 28G ("sister" to 30FF) for comparison. I hope to find at least find a brand new 30G and hope it fits the best. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Super disappointed to find out from customer service that Figleaves only stocked 28 D-F (not FF or G) and 30 D-FF (not G) totally missing out on 3 cup sizes! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />

This is a very pretty bra. It has a nice, snug fit. For me, it fits, but I don't love it. I believe to get a better fit out of a Cleo bra, I need to bend the wires a bit as the wires just seem to hit me a little wrong. This bra would work great with heavier shirts or textured t-shirts, but not snug or close-fitting shirts. It has very pretty embroidery over the cups. Overall, a very pretty bra, but not one that I'll wear a lot.
Provides a nice rounded shape while still showing a good bit of cleavage. Very lightly lined, but enough to prevent show through. One thing I love about this bra is that the cups aren't perfectly round, but instead flare a little bit at the wire. I know I'm not describing it very well, but basically the cups are deep in the center and a little less shallow where they meet the underwire. This seems to provide more projection and pushup while still encircling the breast tissue and without adding padding. The lace and the lip on the upper edge of the cups may show a little through thin fabrics, but it's pretty smooth. Of course, the straps and lace are bright accent colors, so it's not really a bra designed to be worn under thin tees anyway. A problem I frequently have is that my torso is relatively short front to back, but this bra fits comfortably out of the box. Overall, super comfortable and just a little sassy.
This bra is a great fit for me - the band is snug but comfortable, the cups hold everything and I like the way they gently position my boobs a little closer to the front than mine naturally sit. I like the way the material on the cups and band feels against my skin.
The only part about this bra I don't like is the shoulder straps - they chafe a small part of my skin, just above the armpits. I didn't notice this at first, but after a whole day in this bra it's pretty painful. I'm not sure if it's because of the width of the straps, the material (stiff, and the edges are kind of scalloped) or both. Very disappointing, because I really like everything else about this bra.

Several sizes too small, but no notable spillage or pit muffin. All the quadding is in the lower outer half of the cups, and the overall shape is remarkably forward-projected. There is something of a strugle between Nyla and my side boob for dominance, Nyla eventually gives up and collapses under the outer 3rd as there is literally nowhere for all that chonk to go. This is it guys, end of ...the line. Get out.
This causes a very noticeable lifted to the heavens projected effect in my side profile, which is light years better than the usual flattening in center of cup and pushing all boob out at the sides.
I'm absolutely not used to this 'out there' breasts centered near my sternum effect, so while the comfort of having the right cut that fits my shape is here, the weirdness of suddenly having herkin rounded TITTYCONES is kind of concerning. Do I really want to know what happens in a 30GG/28H?

When I first put on this bra I loved it. The plunge creates amazing cleavage and made my boobs look so great.
But after wearing the bra for 10-15 minutes I had serious comfort issues. The wires and cup depth weren’t a good fit for me. The gore was too narrow for my shape and caused the cup wire to start way before my boobs. My boobs also weren’t filling the bottom of the bra, but I still was very full on top (the start of a quad boob) because the cups weren’t deep enough. I also had a lot of digging into my arm and upper side by ...the strap and upper part of the bra.
I’m still learning all the terminology and I believe myself to be average root width, projected, lots of soft tissue after pregnancy & nursing, and breasts start lower on my chest.
In case it helps: My favorite bra pre-pregnancy was Simon Perle Caresse 3DPlunge. I’ve reordered it in a larger size and hope it’ll work it’s magic again. Other bras I’ve tried post pregnancy in multiple sizes that have not fit me well include several Natori bras (Cups too shallow), Fantasie Rebecca Lace, Freya Cameo Plunge, Curvy Kate Daily Plunge, & Curvy Kate Lifestyle Plunge.

I LOVE the look of the Marcie. It is just SO pretty. This shape is amazing for someone who is FOT or has even fullness. I have even fullness and I feel like it is very flattering https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I do have to clasp this band on the tightest hook, as it will not stay in my IMF otherwise. I am receiving a Marcie in a 28G soon, so that should fit a little better. I have pretty close-set boobs, and the gore is on the brink of sitting on my breast tissue - not a big deal at all. I do think that the cups come up a little short on the top, especially from the side view. However, this is a non-issue when wearing it underneath clothing.
When I saw it announced as a bralette for bigger busts, i was, naturally, overjoyed. God I was so excited to receive this in the mail! Now, once I did receive it in the mail, I was disappointed at first because the band had to be tight for it to bear the weight of my boobs - I had originally expected a wireless bralette thing I could wear without being concerned about the band size, but in hindsight now that I've worn it for a while - it was an unrealistic expectation.
FIT: Being wireless it's obviously not going to be so tight against the body, but since ...this is a 30 band from Panache, I wear it on the middle row of hooks. I could wear it on the innermost if I wanted to but middle seems just perfect- not tight enough that I notice I'm wearing it, but not loose enough that it rides up. The fit though, is simply, excellent. I can wear this for so long. Usually my rib cage starts to get tired of wearing a wired bra after 6-10 hours, but this bralette I can wear forever and ever. It's especially perfect for days where my skin is a little dry or sensitive and I don't feel like having wires pressing on me. This is one of, if not THE bra, that I truly do not notice when I wear it. A bra that fits shouldn't be noticeable when you wear it, yet you should feel supported and comfortable. This bralette is just that - it's so comfy I forget I'm wearing it. When I shake my shoulders I don't fall out.
The boobs rest in the bralette like it's a hammock and it doesn't look as sexy under shirts, but I will happily offer that up for the sake of comfort!
DESIGN: The dark blue and soft pink are nice contrasts, it looks great in pictures. In person however the pink is a little too soft/pale and it could easily be more saturated. I'm very pale though and it looks good with my skin tone, so I don't really have any big complaints there! The triangular high apex cups are nice, I appreciate the overall visual construction of this bralette. The band is wide and actually has horizontal stripes of black running through it. And of course, let's not forget the bow in the middle! I love this little design detail that bras have, a bow or a charm where the cups meet is so cute. This is a cute bow style too. The cups are lined with the usual elastic cup mesh fabric, and the innermost edges are lined with some lace for decoration. 8/10 cute. The wing next to the cup is one big triangle, as opposed to being a square/rectangle of mesh like all the wired bras have, and it's made of the same outer fabric (lace) as the cup. It doesn't look bad, but I worry about where the strap meets the wing fabric - I've been wearing this for a little while now and it looks like this could be a place of wear. I feel like the straps could be thicker, but having tried the Cleo Lyzy Vibe that has thicker straps, it doesn't really matter that much. The straps look thin or flimsy, but they're not. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" />
ISSUES: After measuring this, the same one in 30F and then measuring the Lyzy Vibe in 28FF and G, I have concluded that the cup depth is much smaller than usual for bras in these sizes. The 30FF fits me well enough, but when my breasts increase in size because of my cycle, I could do with a 30G. My usual size is 28FF for small boobs and 28G for big boobs, but I can wear 30FF instead of 28G. Read more 537 more words
Rewriting my review after trying to make this work for a couple months. I like Marcie. It's a close fit, but also has several issues for me. Due to my shape and roots, there's both wrinkling and overspill throughout the cups. This is something I could live with as it's not uncomfortable, but what I can't really live with is the gore is an inch too high for me. I have basically no separation. When I got this bra I had much lower standards and I like that it's unlined and has narrow cups but I have since found unlined bras with low gores that work perfectly. Marcie is still in my drawer, but not in my regular rotation. I may experiment with replacing the wires.
I have this bra in red in a 28G, and I love it. I wear it with an extender so I thought the 30FF would fit perfectly. Undfortunately, I have to hook it in the middle column, so I'm sending this size back. I highly recommend this bra, though. I love the other one I have.
Ordered to compare fit with the Panache Envy because I found the gore super uncomfortable on the Envy. The fabric is pretty comfortable but the gore still digs into my sternum and sits partially on breast tissue due to me being close set. Wires were a little wide for my roots but it was still wearable. Just not quite right for me.
