Parrot print - this has been my best-fitting Lily. However, there is still some slight wrinkling in the tops of the cups which is noticeable under clothing. The gore is also too high for me.
Continuing my saga of the Lily colorways... The aqua colorway fits much closer to my parrot print then the swan print did (good news). The band even seems to be more comfortable. Oddly I don't fill out the tops of the cups quite enough, so there is more wrinkling than with my best fitting Lily. I'm guessing the aqua fabric has just a *tiny* bit more give, even though it seems true to size.
Surprisingly close fit for a Cleo (never gotten Cleo's to work for me before. My situation in a nutshell: close-set, immediate projection, narrow root, soft tissue). Good fit for my left breast, but the larger right one spills in toward the middle and creates quad-boob (well, tri-boob, I guess, since it's only on one side). It would work if the cup came up higher in the middle--more balconette, less plunge--or the gore was thinner, maybe, as I'm getting spillage over the corner of the gore into the middle.
Oh Swan Lily, how I wanted to love you so... This colorway seems to fit me differently than the Parrot print (my best fitting bra yet). The wires seem to be just a *little* longer, the gore seems to be a tad higher. I have a harder time filling out the tops of the cups on this one, so they wrinkle more. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it's just not the same. I was so excited to start building up a stockpile of Lily bras while I could still find them in my size, but this one was not meant to be.
If it's any consolation, my older daughter had the same experience. The blue/pink version of the Lily fit like a glove, but the swan pattern is the first bra she's tried of numerous Cleo unlined bras were she can't quite fill out the top. Even the the most notorious ones that demand top fullness, she fills out (Zia, Minnie). Not the Lily swan print. It's not so bad that she can't wear it, but it was a shock.
I got the bra preloved. This is an adorable bra, but its a little too big for me. The band had been a little stretched out (and it is quite comfortable as a stretched out 30). I ended up getting one in a 32E and it fits much better. I'm not sure if it is because the cup runs as large as they say, or because my boobs are smaller than I thought. The wire digs in under my arms, not sure why. It seems to be in the right place width wise, its not too high and I don't have any boob escaping over it. It just digs in. If I keep adjusting it eventually it stops and it doesn't bother me for the rest of the day, but it still seems odd. All in all a well made bra, and good for my shape, just a little too big.
OMG that incup qudding drives me NUTS. I think its even more obvious in my size (or maybe my boobs are squishier). I feel like its visible through all clothing, just about. Do you see it through most clothing?
You'd think with enough people having problems with in cup quad in Marcie, Panache would take notice.
lcl0706 Right? It's definitely been a common issue with so many of the different colors and in so many sizes. They can't possibly be oblivious to it, can they? /sigh
@dbmamaz Yeh, it's super annoying. I'm relieved it's a lot smoother with an extender because the quadding on the black one was so ridiculous that I thought I would have to sell it asap. That was the main one I had been trying to get my hands on, too. Luckily, I wear a lot of loose/oversized/flowey tops, so the only thing I usually worry about it color showing through. The quadding is a little visible under form fitting tops, but because the lace also tends to show through at that point, it kind of gets blended into the apparent mess going on under my shirt, lol. I mean, despite its problems, I wear Marcie the most out of all my bras, so as long as long as the in-cup quadding isn't extreme, it hasn't bothered me enough to avoid wearing them.
I think mine is worse. and the band is already too loose. I am tempted to try a J cup (my standard) but otoh, why? this is so bad its even visible clearly through a light blouse I tried to wear it with, and through a stretch fleece over a knit turtle neck! Maybe i should have sent it back to Panache and told them its substandard
Evadne it's so frustrating because I tried a 28FF in the nude, couldn't believe I got my hands on a nude one. Correct cup volume, gorgeous despite not working as a nude on me, and in-cup quad. Couldn't stand it. Had to sell. :(
esp frustrating because the marcie is such a great shape for so many people. I wonder if they DO know?
My shape: teardrop set at average height, with super tall and super wide roots that give me all the shallow-boob fitting problems but with more projection, very close-set tissue in the middle, and firm tissue that fights back when squished or pushed out of shape
This review is for the black colorway.
I got the Maddie in a swap. This could be a really cute Tshirt bra style for me! It's black-on-black, which is great because I wear a lot of black but I don't have an everyday black bra right now, it's pretty soft inside the cups, and the detailing doesn't show through my shirts.
What does show through is ...the gaping at the armpit. The straps are absolutely too far apart for me, and it really pushes the cup away from my breast; plus, they rub and itch. I don't know if a 28 would help the problem at all by bringing in the strap base. It still gives nice lift and shape, and it's pretty open on top while still supporting well.
It is otherwise great in the cups! I think I'll try a 30F to see if it will help at all.
The band is thin but great, the gore tacks and feels pretty good, and the wire under my arm is just about at the edge of my breast root (although the curve is too steep, as is the case with most of my bras, since my root tail is shaped like the Nike symbol). I will say that I'm not sure if it was the underwire or the side seam that was moderately itchy, but that might go away with a wash. Since I'm not keeping it, I'll let someone else figure that part out. Read more 178 more words
Since the swan print was about all I could find near my size with free shipping, I gave it a shot. I'd read somewhere that the swan print runs large and to size down in the cups, so I ordered a 30FF instead of 30G.
This bra lives up to its reputation for being projected. It doesn't make the apices of my breasts feel as smooshed as most bras. However, it still felt like the cups ended abruptly with just slightly too little space. The vertical and horizontal cup seams met right on top of my nipples, which was immediately very uncomfortable. This bra also expected a ton more upper fullness than I have.
The mesh on this one also feels plasticky, like nylon tea bags if you're familiar with them (Tazo uses them). For me, that was uncomfortable against my skin.
Bahaha! That is the perfect description of that fabric! It's not the nicest feeling fabric around. I do like the bra though, unfortunately I can't find my size anywhere anymore.
Looks wise its pretty basic, the color doesn't really work well with my skin tone but I bought it more to test if this style would fit before buying a more attractive colorway. The material is soft and not scratchy at all, very smooth. Fit wise this was a disaster I get a significant amount of creasing at the bottom due to it being too shallow and the top of the cups both gape at the top and cause quadding near the bottom. Also because of the shallowness issue it causes the underwires to dig painfully into my ribcage during the day. Needless to say the Neve is not for me. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
Gaps a bit in the right cup for me, guess my left breast is larger than the right. Not enough for it to be a problem, but slightly annoying. Kind of tight in the band, but it'll stretch out eventually. Very nice color and look, other than the gapping, pretty comfortable!
This is a beautiful bra!! The color is something special, the embroidery on the top of the cups is neon orange..... Soooo cool and happy color, i am sure my boobs feel like they are in a party.. Jajajaja......the rest of the bra is not white, it's more like a mix between pale pink and blush color, it's really pretty, I could say it's the happiest bra I own. The wires run higher than the "lily" and the "Marcie" the gore is lower than the other two ( "lily" and "Marcie") the lift is good, very natural and it gives the classic round shape Cleo bras give, ...the band feels exactly the same as my "lily" very true to size, it feels a little stretchier than the "lily" though. The only problem I am having with this bra is that there's a little cuadboob inside the cup, (in the horizontal seem) I have the same problem with the "lily" but it shows a little more with this one, I don't really know what's the problem.. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Iam thinking that maybe it's the kind of tissue that my breasts are made of (I am almost 42 years old, and have breastfed 3 children) I am so in love with this bra I will use it anyway since it doesn't show that much. OMG!!! i am in heaven.... jajajaja... i order this bra from e bay, and was really excited and scared at the same time...it is my first unlined bra in a long time, iam a 42 year old woman who has brest fed three children ( if you know what i mean) so i have been wearing padded molded bras for years being afraid that an unlined bra would not do, let me tell you how wrong i was... this cleo lily is the most beautiful and supportive bra i have right now, not even my padded and molded bras have giving me this lift and shape... ...it is just amazing, i read a lot of reviews before purchising this bra, and it has not dissapointed me, it is a wonderful, beautiful bra, i have heard that the strap separation was a problem for a lot of women, since i have narrow shoulders i thought it was not going to work for me, but i am so happy to say that it did, not a problem, another thing that had me a little nervious was the fit in the top of the cup, happy to say also that it was not a problem, it fit perfectly, the cup holds my soft breast tissue nicely , the top of the cups lay flat and gives me a perfect lifted and rounded shape. I am soooo very happy, so comfortable, soft and perfect!! will buy again for sure, i want one in every single color!!! jajajaja https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> happy happy!!! Magenta colourway with orange details. My first Cleo. Just arrived and is now my best-fitting bra. Very comfortable because it fits. I would describe this as a more youthful/supported version of the Envy and Jasmine: more support (because the upper is not thin stretch lace and because the side panel is bossier than the Envy), more projected, more space in the underarm (no chafing my front-of-armpit fat), narrower wires than Jasmine. Also, bra arrived firm but not heavily starched like the Jasmine did (could not wear Jasmine all-day for first several wears).
I like the fabric rather than stretch lace upper section, less bouncy, but still has room ...for my fluffy allover fullness. There is some give, so my uneven breasts do well. Projection next to the gore is the best I have - I'm not fighting the bra - and the gore is quite narrow (at least narrower than my Envy gore), but the overall wire width put together is about the same as Envy 30F (nice and narrow, even though this is a cup size larger!).
I have several little thread pulls where the straps attach, even though I've only had this for a couple weeks (hand-washing). Not equal to Panache quality, but it was half the price (Amazon). I can't bring myself to pay full price for a Cleo bra after this, since the quality is definitely inferior to Panache. Still, the fit is magical, so I'll get em on clearance.
Look forward to trying Cleo Erin & Panache Floris. I thought balconettes weren't good for me - worried about straps carrying too much weight. Here, good construction and firm upper section make it superior to a plunge for me. I'm a convert.
I have this on order in 30G in aqua: when I really swoop-and-scoop in this size and don't slouch, I do get some quadding, so I'll try the 30G and review! I'd also like to have something that accommodates my PMS size (without damaging a stretch lace bra). Read more 224 more words
Well, this is a pretty bra. This is the size I should have ordered in my 28FF Koko Icon strapless (same mold and structure). The bands on these bras are hella tight.
The black overlay on the magenta cups is a nice touch. The magenta adds a pop of color. It fits me slightly better than my Koko did, because the cups are a bit roomier from going up a band size. The multi-colored bow on the gore is a cute detail.
Overall this is a wide, shallow bra. It's not as shallow on me as the strapped Neve was, but it's still wrinkled ...at the bottom. Most strapless bras are fairly wide and shallow. It's noticeable, but my boobs don't seem to push it down. It's a nice option for a plunge strapless that can be worn with deep V necks and strappy tanks. It's wide, shallow, and tall, and gives somewhat of a minimizing appearance from the side, while still maintaining a hint of cleavage in the front. It's not a perfect fit but it'll serve it's purpose. Read more 81 more words
Gah how I wish this fit. The material is so soft and silky its like theres nothing there. ALL BRAS SHOULD BE THIS SOFT! When I first put it on its not too bad, but as the day goes on I fall more and more out and into the middle creating the appearance that I have suddenly developed a third boob. I'm thinking it might be because the bottom and near the gore of the cups run more on the shallow side and I need more projection on the bottom and center. I'm assuming not very friendly for center fullness. I find the band pretty stretchy. Although I'm pretty sure going up a cup and down in the band wont change the fact that there is some shape mismatching going on here. The upper lace panel also makes no sense it just sort of flaps around and sticks up luckily its not noticeable under shirts but its still annoying.
I first got this bra in 28FF but the cups were too small. 28G was not available so I got 30FF. I think the cups run small, usually I wear 28F/28FF / 30E/30F in Panache/Cleo etc bras!
The bra technically fits me in the tightest hooks, so I definitely would´ve needed a 28 band. The cups fit okay, but when I´m not standing straight / in some positions, they are a little gapey. I think I´m between sizes, something between 28FF and 28G would probably fit me best.
Other that the slight fit issues, the bra is just as other Juna cuts I´ve tried. The shape is rounded and the wires are wide enough for me. I have shallow boobs with tall + widish root. The colour is lovely, straps adjust okay, all okay https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Fit = Straps are fine, but possibly too wide for me. They kind of cut into my shoulder where it meets my underarm. Band is tight but fine. Unlined, which I don't like. Lots of gapping around the top. Top of cups is extremely loose and baggy.
Appearance = It's okay, not really my style. Black with white polka dots. Lace is like mesh, not super pretty. Not really cute like the other bras I've tried. The loose fit at the top throws it off even more.
