LOVE the shape and lift this bra gives me. It has a lot of forward projection and gives a great rounded shape. Cons--the underwire digs into my sternum a bit--just a smidge too tall for me. A little padding on the inside fixed the problem. I just wish it came in some neutral colors! Quality rating is subjective, as I've only had it for about a month.
This is the pink and white color way. It's very bright and pretty. I think maybe some strange pattern changes happen at an H cup, because the wires are way too wide on the sides for me.
How I love the beautiful pattern of this bra! I really wanted it to work and ordered it a bit prematurely, shipping from overseas, before I even ordered the Lily, which didn't work for me, either. If I'd have waited, I'd have known that the this bra style wouldn't work for me, but I liked the print too much and ordered it anyhow.
I do like that the band is so "sturdy" and it seems like it would be a fantastically supportive bra if it were the right shape for me. Unfortunately, because of how sturdy the bra is, there's no way for me to ...settle into the bottom of the cup.
Where a 28HH smashes me because there isn't enough projection, the 30HH is fine for projection (there could be a hair more, however), but it's empty on the sides, bottom, and ripples across the top, just slightly. Also, in the 30 band, the wires come up much too high, as does the band into my armpit. The gore is uncomfortable (way too high!) as well. I can certainly fasten the bra tight enough to gain support, but I'm not sure if it would stretch out with more than one wear.
I had thought about a 28J, but I know that the shape still won't be right. I love the fabric so much I had thought about disassembling and reassembling, but that too seems like it's beyond my abilities, and probably not worth it.
All in all, the bra is beautiful, but has too much fabric over the top of my breast, more like a full cup, and my shape is too firm to squish into the cups as they are. Compounded with wires that are much to wide and a dismal fit, it just won't work for me, so it must go to a new home. Read more 214 more words
I bought this bra based on my experience with the Freya Plunge wirefree. I loved the way that bra looked, but unfortunately, they don't have 30 bands in my cup size. However, it's safe to say that 30HH in Cleo is also NOT my size.
For Cleo/Panache, I need a 28 band, because this bra band is a bit too big even on the smaller set of hooks. The gore pokes my sternum a bit and rises a bit higher than I'd like, but I may get used to that. The cups are obviously too big in this one, but I'm thinking a 28HH will do the trick. I may always have some empty cup at the sides due to my projection. Otherwise, the bra is comfortable, and despite being too big, it is offering more support than my other bras, so I'm wearing it until my 28 arrives.
My breast shape is both top and bottom heavy. This bra is pretty good for either shape which makes it just about perfect for me. The center gore works for me but I have read that some girls sew the wires to be next to each other if you feel you need to bring your breasts closer. The Lucy is a great bra to start with if you are just trying the Cleo brand, I use this bra as my usual size in just about any brand and size from there according to the shape. The band and cups are very true to size and measurement, so if you measure a 30 band then get a 30. If you measure a 29 I would get a 30, unless you like your bands pretty tight.
Can it be...? I think it is - a bra success! There are some slight imperfections for me - mainly the straps/wings want to chafe my armpits. This may be more of a concern for me than others though, since my work requires me to constantly use my arms' full range of motion. Aka I am grinding against my straps on any bra almost constantly. Surprisingly, it wasn't as painful as it could have been - after a while it seemed like the fabric loosened a little and got more cozy. Aside from that, there's some wrinkles at the base, meaning either not quite enough depth OR the ...wires are the wrong shape (a hair too wide, most likely). Still not sure which it is, but I will say this - I can finally *breathe* in a bra, I'd almost forgotten what I'd been missing. NO COMPRESSED FEELING NOT EVEN A LITTLE BIT. Added bonus: the band is quite tight!
The shape is pretty freakin' awesome, I feel like superwoman in this bra, and I haven't been able to say that since I could fit into the Freya Deco.
I think this bra is a great alternative for someone who got more gaping in the Cleo Marcie than they'd like - the Zia fits similarly, but the cut of the top is very well suited to even or fuller on bottom shapes. Read more 126 more words
I got this bra pretty much knowing it wouldn't fit (I'm fuller on bottom) but wanting to try it anyway because it's GORGEOUS. The straps are digging in a bit, despite being on the tightest hook and loosened generously. I don't think this would be my ideal work bra because of that, but it will do wonderfully for around the house, shopping, visiting friends, etc... Anything that isn't wearing it for 8+ hours straight https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" /> The bf also really likes this bra, which is unexpected as he tends to find red lingerie cliche.
When I initially tried it on, I had gaping ...up the wazoo. Today I tried it on the tightest hooks and still have some gaping, but it's definitely at a tolerable level. I think pulling the band this tight warped the wires a little bit, which is helping me to fill out the top. On the bottom, the bigger boob fills it out perfectly while the smaller has just a touch of wrinkle there.
One last thing... the shape is REALLY super round. I feel wonderfully uplifted and... busty in this, compared to other bras I've tried which tend to be more pointy and minimized in shape. Read more 99 more words
This bra fits in terms of size, but not in terms of shape. The cups are too shallow and far apart for my bust. The wires are broad and high, sitting too far back on my body and uncomfortably high under my arms. I also prefer a more front and center shape, whereas this bra makes my breasts very round and close to my chest.
I am surprised at how well this one fits! I fairly guessed at my size, so yay!
This bra is borderline too separate for my boobs. I say borderline because everything is fairly comfortable, but I get a weird feeling when I put my arms forward that my boobs are in the way of my upper arms. Strange.
No quadraboob (yay!) and the wires enclose everything well. I do get a tiny amount of emptiness in the bottom of the cups, but it isn't too bad. Good lift and shape. Quite a bit more projection than I thought I'd get!
I think I like my Ewa bras a bit better, but ...I could see this being a good everyday bra. The only thing I would really change is having three clasps instead of two.
-ETA- After wearing this a few times, I don't think this is the bra for me. I need a bra with soft elastic under the center gore. With all the Panache bras I've tried, there is a stiff almost sharp piece of fabric that lines the bottom front of their bras and this cuts in to me pretty badly. I know the band itself isn't too tight. It is probably because I have acquired a bit of fat in this region right below the center gore where anything stiff just feels so uncomfortable. Definitely sticking with my comfortable Ewa bras!
-ETA 2- This bra fits in theory, but in practice... Well for some odd reason it keeps slipping down my ribcage so I end up with a bit of emptiness in the bottom of the cups. The bottom of the bra has gotten a lot comfier after a few washes, so this is only the second time I have had the courage to wear it. I don't think Cleo is the brand for me. Read more 195 more words
It is difficult to set the fit of this bra, because it looked to weird on me. The Band is fairly tight, felt almost too tight. There was empty fabric in the cups and were too big so I had to adjust the straps shorter... but then it got weirder... I got some gaping on the side under my arms on top of the cup but the lace of the upper section of the cups was digging in and gave me somewhat in-cup-quadraboob. I though this was because I tightened the straps so much. I also tried the bra with extender to see if the tight band causes the problems but it kept looking weird. So I figured this shape was all wrong for me. Btw the bra is even prettier than on the pictures... sadly not a good fit for me.
I just read that there was a sewing error on this bra. So that explains the weirdness.
I have to say though, It looks much much better on you than on bras I hate. I can see the weirdness better from her pictures - I'm not sure if that's the sam kind of weirdness though. I think it looks rather good on you :) But seems like Alexa gave you better uplift?
It's difficult to show the weirdness on the pictures ecpecially with my crappy cam and difficult to explain. If I shortened the straps there was much tension on the seam between upper cup lace and under cup lace and it kept digging in and creating some kind of in cup quadraboob. And i had also that "pressed flat against a window look" like bras I hate mentioned. Maybe the position of the straps was just wrong for me and that made it look weird.
