Style, shape, & padding were just what I was looking for in a t-shirt bra. Unfortunately the straps were placed too wide for my shoulders, and there was gapping at the top of the cup for me even after repeated swooping & scooping.
This review is for the orange "Animal" print. This bra is a major disappointment. The quality differences between my blue print Maddie and this one are significant. The foam feels cheaper and harder and curls at the top edge. The stitching is sloppy, especially where the strap attaches to to front of the cup. The fabric does not lay flat over the molded cup, but instead pulls and ripples at various seams and curves. I have to say, this looks and feels like a Target bra, not a Cleo.
As far as fit, the same Maddie trueisms still hold. Like other Maddie prints, the shape and fit is moderately wide and shallow, and more closed on top. The solid Maddies have cup that is more narrow, projected and open on top than this bra. Band measures crazy tight as always.
I think this bra is super cute. It gives the boobs a nice round but not too round shape. It's a tad bit too small for me, I should probably have bought a cup size bigger. The band is good though https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Even though it's a bit small it's still comfortable. Also I think this model probably isn't very good for boobs with lower fullness, the lace on top is quite big...
After I was not 100% happy with my 32FF - Cleo » Lucy (5851), I didn't want to try that model again. I'm glad I did, though, as this bra fits me very well. Maybe this colour (turquoise) runs a bit larger than black, or there are differences in production? Anyway, this bra looks good and fits, the only drawback is that the colour, while pretty, is not very versatile.
This bra is softer than the Cleo Lucy (5851) and it seems to run larger in the cup. It also fits me much better. The colour scheme works well under all but my lightest cloths. Good-looking and comfortable to wear.
The band on this is a bit firmer and therefore not as stretchy, so my typical 32 fits really snug. Not horrible enough to be in pain or anything, but noticeably snug. I tried to size up and it was a comfortable fit on the second set of clasps, so I am sticking with the 32.
The bra is really pretty and the straps are fantastic. Not way too wide, but not little spaghetti strap bands, either. And they are soft and feel a bit squishy.
I have some slight gaping at the top of the cup on my right breast, which is normal for me since that's my slightly smaller breast. It only happens when I am leaning or if I am twisting around in a weird way. In general, with normal good posture, the top of the cups lay nice and flat.
So, far this is the only bra I have found that actually fits me. I measure to a 30FF, but this bra is a perfect fit. The only problem I have is that the straps dig in my armpits. Its just a symptom of my narrow shoulders and big boobs. All UK bras seem to rub there for me. But overall I like this bra a lot. Very pretty and supportive. I love the shape.
So, about this bra: I bought it at nordstroms for real low cheap since when i went, i couldn't find anything NEAR fitting, and i figured id rather get it just in case and use it as a diagnostics bra, and i could sell it for near nothing if it didn't work out. It has been sitting in the bag, tags on, because i realized almost immediately when i got home that i am a doof and this isnt even close to my size.
I can technically close the band, which is why i went ahead and bought it, but i realize now that it distorts the wires really ...severely, so there's no way i could wear it. It stretches to 32 without distorting the wires, so id need a 34 or 36 depending.
The cups are waaay too small! When i put it on, i cant even scoop all the way because the cup is so tight that i cant fit my hand in there. The pictures are crap at showing this, but i have a really pointed, pushed down shape in this from the too small cup. The band being too tight probably exacerbates this, so im not sure if i would find the 34F cups too small, but im going to give it a try. If i just lay the cup against myself, it seems like it would be okay, but i know cups with the lace upper seem to either close off too much and cut me, or not lay flat and flutter around.
appearance wise, it s a very pretty navy with ombre pink flowers and dot lace. There is what looks like a very small deodorant mark on the inside near the underarm, probably why they had it so cheap? I haven't washed it yet in case a potential buyer has detergent sensitivities, but im sure it would come right off as it doesn't look like much. The only reason i can even tell is because its white on navy- i don't notice a smell about it.
This bra is super pretty, but nowhere near my size, so im going to see about selling it off and getting myself a proper fitting one! Read more 257 more words
First of all, this bra gives a really great rounded shape. It's cute and feminine. I probably would have preferred a color other than pink, but the pink was on sale at Amazon for super cheap. The band definitely runs tight. I though for sure it would be too small when I opened the package, but it appears to stretch a good bit so I think with time it will work out just fine. As with the other Cleos I've tried, it seems like this has slightly narrow wires? They just don't quiiiiiite get everything on the side, so it kind of looks bulgey. Feeling around though, it seems to contain everything. Maybe I'm just used to too-wide wires? Not quite sure.
By the way, if you have slightly tuberous breasts or puffy nipples.... this is a winner. Ding ding ding!
I just got this in the mail and I'm really disappointed. I have slight gapping at the top of my freya bra, and i heard the cleo lucy would be a better fit for me. However, when i tried this on, it's at least 2 cup sizes too small. I got a 32F, the same size as i have in freya, and i can't believe the difference. He's anyone else had this problem? Does freya run large? Iet did i get some weird mis labeled bra?
I like the look and shape that this bra creates. It creates a rounder silhouette than what most bras in this size range create. The only downside is that I don't quite fill out the top of the cups. That's really only with my smaller side, so I'm keeping the bra anyway.
I like this bra as an idea, but when on, it is far from perfect. I have a decent amount of pain when wearing it all day, though admittedly not so much that it definitely belongs in my reject bin.
Pros: Pretty cute for a T-shirt bra Comes in basic colors (there really aren’t that many options for DD+ t-shirt bras in beiges and blacks etc) Large size range Thin straps – much cuter than those giant straps that Freya bras have
Cons: Wide straps – they rub super badly. I always have raw red areas after wearing this bra Itchy tag Wide gore Gapes because of weird shape
I’m keeping it for now, but I might get rid of it in the future.
Bought this at Nordstrom Rack hoping that it would fit after some tissue migration in my 32E bras. Been wearing the correct size for 7 months and 32E still fits great! I ended up buying a Melissa in 32E and it's one of my favorite bras!
Ok well I feel like I've given Cleo Juna the ol college try. Even though the measurements match these cups are WAYYYYY too big, huge gaps at the top. Maybe I should have tried one more time with a 32E but I just don't have the patience to keep doing it thru the mail. I'll wait til I get to a big city and try them on. My hope was to find bra that was good for wide spaced, splayed, shallow boobs. Lots of helpful reviewers pointed me towards the Juna. I like the look of it, but not for my boobs! Just felt "weird" over all. Granted, I'm not used to wearing a bra that is the proper size and all of my previous bras have been molded cups instead of seamed cups. Anyways. This one will be returned and I'll just keep on trying! The bra is beautiful I think and it seems to be good quality but I've only tried these on, not worn them for long periods of time or washed them.
This is my sister size, and at first I thought it fit me okay, but after a wear or two I realized the band was starting to move around a bit and there was some gaping at the top of the cups. Like with some of my other Cleo bras, the gore seems to sit a bit high and digs into my sternum, and the underwires also seem to dig into my ribs.
This bra is really the wrong shape for me in general, as I am more full on bottom. I ended up getting the Cleo Lucy which I like a lot better.
I really love this bra. It's my first well-fitted one, and I have to force myself to not wear it daily. For reference, I'm slightly full on top.
The only negative would be that the gore comes up too high and pokes into my breast tissue. It's not terribly uncomfortable though. (My breasts are fairly close-set.)
