  1. I ordered a Comexim Basic in Beige with custom straps with added length, since I often times have trouble with straps not adjusting long enough for me. I went with a 70HH. I have one other comexim that is a 70J, that is just a teeny bit too large in the cups. I was very impressed with the customer service, and how quickly I recieved the bra. I had heard that it could take upwards of a month from when the order was placed. I placed my order on Sept 10, and recieved it Sept 26! (I live in the US)

The bra is beautiful, and very well ... constructed. Others have reported the material to be scratchy, but actually find it incredibly soft. The seems aren't very noticeable under clothes, so I think it will be a great every day bra. From other bratabase users' photos it looked like the material might be really shiny, but in real life it's just a subtle sheen.

    So onto the fit:
I am typically a 30GG or 32G in UK brands, though I tend to be on the larger end of those sizes in the cup. I have a 70J blue magic that was a teeny bit too big, but the 70HH basic is just a little too small in the cups. I don't get quadboob, but the boobage tries to escape a bit out of the sides (a problem I don't have with the 70J). I am pretty happy with both sizes. The wires are narrow, and are very close to sitting on breast tissue for me. I don't think I could go any narrower. I like them as is though. The straps are really stretchy, which I don't think is the best for support, but they definitely adjust long enough for me which is great! The band is perfect for me. (My snug underbust is 30.5", I often prefer sizing up to a 32 band). It feels a bit tighter than a true 32 band, but not quite as snug as a 30. The cups give a really uplifted look, very front and center. The shape isn't as round as Ewa Michalak or the freya deco. It's more natural, but definitley not pointy. Oh yea..this is the only bra that gives even better, more natural cleavage than the deco.

Overall, this bra is beautiful, comfy and functional for everyday life. I was really impressed with Comexim's turnaround time. The price was good too ($45 including shipping). I definitely recommend this bra and company https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

I bought this hoping for a nude t-shirt bra and it’s not going to work for that, so when I order again I will probably go with a different style. The seams are too prominent and it gives the green shape almost to an extreme, which looks sort of odd with my already high-set breasts. If my kiddo hasn’t eaten for a while, I can fill out the left cup but the right one is just way too big no matter what.
This is a really lovely bra, for being “basic”. It has bow details on the straps and the gore, with tiny faux pearls sewn to the middle ... of each bow. The lace detail is nice, and it you’re wearing a shirt that can hide the seams the lace and bows shouldn’t show, either.
How it works with my shape: As I mentioned, the shape it gives is not necessarily desirable when breasts already start right underneath my collarbones. If you want a lot of lift, this would be a great choice. My breasts appeared more like FOT when scooped and swooped into this bra.

  3. This bra is so gorgeous yet simple! It manages to be subtly elegant with the lace and smooth knit fabric while being sturdy and seamless under clothing. I asked for them to add the cute « C » charm they offer for other bras, and I adore it! Its also convenient my first initial is a C as well… https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />

However I do feel as if the 60 band is too large on me, I have a 26 inch snug underbust and thought due to a lack of squish a 28/60 would be fine but I have come to regret it. The band is ... extremely stretchy due to the very soft wires (especially compared to other Polish and UK bras). I understand the comfort aspect of this, but the next time, I would probably request much stronger wires and size down in both the cup and the band. The cup is *slightly* too wide on me, but the projection is good, so I feel as if it would be perfect in a 55L. (perhaps with even narrower wires, such as the ones used for a 55K?) Even though with the black colour, which does make this 60L a bit snugger than my other bras of lighter colours, it is still not snug enough to provide the support I like. I have learned that a 60 band in Ewa Michalak is perfect, but a 60 band in Comexim is too large. so, if you are debating on buying something from either company, I hope this helps in terms of picking a size.

    Didn't fit

I have had so much trouble finding a bra that fits, and this is by far the most comfortable despite its fit issues.

i'm UK 32FF, dense tissue, narrow, projected, close-set, and I need a lot of immediate projection.

I bought this in 70J according to the ABTF comexim size converter calculator, and I think that this was a close match.

My fit issues: The apex of the cups for these are too far apart, the straps are too wide, and the cups kept pushing down creating the wrinkling at the bottom. Other than that, i think this bra is of great quality!

What I love about this bra: The fabric used is so smooth and soft, yet so sturdy. The construction and look is so basic and sleek. I love the touch of bows on the bra. It's also really inexpensive, pricing at around $40 usd for a high priced bra for Comexim.

I'll get this in a smaller cup size and hope it fits!

Cup pushes down causing a lot of wrinkling near the gore. Are the cups too big?

    Hasn't set fit

Reduced cups 2cm, straps moved in 2cm, reduced gore 1cm, no satin trim, convertible straps, forgotten cookie pockets

This works surprisingly well as a strapless bra. The cups don't really gape at the top. The part where the strap attaches curls in, but it's not too noticeable or uncomfortable. I might get some fashion tape to use along the top edges if I wear something more fitted though. It's a lot more comfortable than actual strapless bras since it doesn't have those silicone strips. Maybe someday I'll ask them to make one without straps.

    Fits

I purchased this black version of the Basic since the beige version is one I reach for often. The cup is a three part cup with a black fabric over a black cotton foam like material. There is a black bow on the center gore. There is a basic lace trim along the upper cup. The back band is a black power mesh that has a very flexible fit. I found this extremely comfortable and I’m n the stretchier side. The elastic straps have a subtle woven in detail and have more of a firm stretch. There are tiny black bows in here the straps meet the cup. All hardware is black and the back band has a 3x3 closure.
    * I’ll note that this bra doesn’t seem to be cut as wide where the cup meets the strap compared to my beige basic. I’ll definitely be reaching for this over the beige one due to the better fit.

The tag on this says 30GG. I'm not sure why it's set as 65GG. Every time I tried to delete 65GG and just add 30GG I got an error.

I ordered this bra from Breakout Bras. Unfortunately, there was too much gaping in the cups. : ( I compared it to 32G Basic Padded Plunge and I think 32G (70HH) is a better size for me.

Of note: I would consider 30FF to be my accurate UK bra size right now, but I'm borderline btwn 30 and 32 bands presently. Since European bras are known for being firm in the band, I chose to sister size up from 30FF ----> 32F, then add the two recommended cup sizes that Breakout Bras suggests for this style. So, that put me at 32G, and I believe that is the ... best fit me currently.

Also, of note: when I go to the Comexim.pl website, according to their size chart with my current measurements, I would fit best into a 32G/70HH as well. So, the Comexim size chart seems to work okay (*at least in this instance) for the padded plunge style for me. Also, someone designed an app to translate one's best size btwn UK bra size ----> Comexim size/ UK bra size -------> Breakout Bras recommended size. Here is a link to the app http://comeximcalc.herokuapp.com/

Edit: This app was created by Redditers u/mathandplants, /u/EuphoricToe1, and /u/winsbe01 (sorry, I don't know their real names)!

My point is: as long as you know an accurate UK bra size, you will be probably be able to get your size in their padded plunge (*it worked for me at least).

I'm still glad I ordered the 32GG just to compare.

Thanks for the review and the calculator link! I think the calculator is pretty accurate. Unfortunately for me I don’t think the plunge will ever work due to shape mismatch (cries) but the 3HC did so I’m okay with that, lol

    • 1

margesimpson , ha ha, thanks for the comment.

I decided to try plunges after someone commented on an ABTF reddit page re: plunges being good on FOB & projected types, I believe.

The first plunge that I tried was actually this Chantelle St. Germaine plunge bra https://www.bratabase.com/browse/chantelle/saint-germain-plunge-3411/ which is a discontinued bra, purchased it online.

It ended up not working out (I actually didn't add it to Bratabase, I should've but I didn't think of it) because the band was sooooo firm (I bought a 30 band). The firmest band I've ever tried: I guess Chantelle (European brand) is known for being esp firm in the band, I believe. Even though the band was so firm, the straps were way too big. Also, the cups were kind of flattening my chest, and gave me an unflattering look. lol. So, not a keeper at all - I sent it back.

I don't think Comexim padded three-part half-cups (padded 3HC) would work for me at all - and that's just a guess based on what they look like, and I'm not brave enough to try them anytime soon, lol. Maybe after 6 months, or something. But I think that's about 1/2 of Comexim's collection? Of course, there's no where I can go and try on Comexim bras in my city, I can only order online (it is what it is!).

I don't think their padded 3HC's would work for me b/c of my overall body proportions - and this isn't really talked about on this website, but I'll bring it up: I don't wanna be so padded in the front when my butt is so flat (currently!) Lol. Maybe I need to go to the gym and start doing squats. But I don't wanna be so padded in the front, and flat in the back, lol, I just want to be proportional.

I want to try again Comexim's unpadded half-cups - as long as their lightly lined that would be okay. I think it would be a good look for me to be a little more "minimized" sometimes. I'm happy that the padded plunge seems to work for me a.t.m, but I still gotta look for bras that work for other outfits. Also, for summer bras (so, something lighter). Thanks for the read! : ) : ) Take care.

margesimpson , sorry I have some further thoughts (of course) later on...

I guess Comexim has this more extreme plunge style, e.g. like this bra https://www.bratabase.com/browse/comexim/ginger-plunge-bra-365/

I haven't tried it at all, and I'm not exactly sure what type of shapes this more extreme plunge would work for (I'm center-full, so I'm not sure if I would fall out of it...),but it's something to consider, I guess.

With the Basic Padded Plunge, it would still show with some of my V-neck t-shirts, so this more extreme type of plunge I might try later on, perhaps it's better for summer? At the same time, this might be horrible on me, lol, so I.d.k....

    • 1

Okay, I just read re: the comments on Ginger, " it doesn't draw the bust forward like most polish bras" so I'm not sure I would ever try it.

I'm not a fan of the "East-West" look, and I also need projection (immediate projection, I believe) in the cups, so I don't think their extreme plunge would work for me. (not that you asked...lol : )

    • 1

LOL yeah I’m hesitant to try the extreme plunge too I think I would fall out of the middle too...Thanks for the thoughts on it!
Ah yes the days when we could go into stores and try things on. Now I do way too much online shopping and returning and selling etc. But as long as there are some good finds here and there, it’s good

    Fits

This is the first plunge style I have ordered from Comexim, all of my other bras are Comexim half cups. The wire width, narrow cups, and projection are just as good as the half cups, and I really like it. It gives the girls a nice shape. My only complaint is that it does rub me a little in my armpits, but not as much as other brands I have tried. I'm wondering if that will improve with time, since my other seamed bra from Comexim did the same thing until I broke it in a little bit. I do think that it's a little plain for my taste, but it's nice to have a basic nude color bra. I'm pretty pale, and it matches my skin tone well. The bows and pearl detail on the gore helps add to the look.

    Didn't fit

I bought this bra NWOT on r/braswap. I knew the last Comexim bra was at least 2 cup sizss too small, so I sized up 3 cup sizes with this bra. I heard the Basic ran tight in the band, so I sized up in the band too. Unfortunately, I think I sized up too much in both regards. I am a 30 band in US/UK sizing, but the 70 band fit pretty well, second hook, on the Ardea. Since Basic ran tight I figured this should be fine. I can easily tighten this bra on the tightest hook and it's still not super firm. I think a ... 70 band would have been fine in this style too.

With the cups, the Ardea I got had the cups reduced and I should have taken that more into consideration when sizing up in the cups. I think 1-2 sizes up in regular cups would have been fine, though had I gotten another style with reduced cups I probably still would have needed to size up 2-3 cups. The reason I think this is because I fill the bottom of the cups PERFECTLY and the wires are excellent. Unfortunately, the apex of the cup is kind of empty. Had the cups been reduced by 1" I actually think it would have fit quite nicely. Alas, they weren't so this is simply about 1 cup size too large for me.

The gore is still slightly too narrow for me in this style, which is to be expected with me being wideset. However, it's not as noticeable since the cups aren't too small like my other Comexim.

I'm debating if I want to keep this or not. When I first tried it on, I was convinced I'd resell it, but after wearing it for 10 minutes, doing a full scoop and swoop and tightening the straps I think it might be doable for now. I tried a shirt on that normally shows seams and lace and it actually looks really smooth underneath and it looks really good. I'm torn. What do ya'll think?
