    Didn't fit

Ingrid is a beautiful bra, and I personally love the design and fabrics used. However, in terms of construction, this bra just seems totally off. There is not much immediate projection at all, but enough at the apex. The cups are way too tall on this particular bra. I'm not sure if this is an issue with this bra, how it was manufactured, this model or something else, but it skews the feel of a bra that I think would otherwise be an alright fit. Because of the lack of immediate projection and the gore being a tad too wide for me personally (I think I need overlapping ... wires or something) the bra just overall feels shallow. The support from the band feels good, and I love that about the bra. It's nice and snug, but I feel that the straps are pulled outward making the cup feel not great. The straps dig into my arm pits and I feel like they really would benefit from being moved inwards an inch. I think this bra would only be wearable for me if I can get the cups shortened and the straps moved in.

The band felt loose but as if it had been stretched out by another person previously. Quad boob on my right. Felt as if there was a lot of flesh beneath the arms. The cup is made of foam, though not quite molded. Unfortunately, the 3-part cup design like this one just isn't the best for me. Also, it may be best to go up a size in this bra if you're used to Comexim unlined bras.

The closest fitting bra I have ever tried on so far! Being in Alaska, my brick and mortar options are next to nonexistent (our lone specialty store is closing Jan 2018) and my options were limited to Freya and Panache. Freya bras were the closest to what I needed for daily wear yet the wires always extended past my tissue and pressed against my sides. Ingrid's wires sit comfortably next to my tissue, and I feel contained!

My issue with the bra is the core. it is extremely narrow (comparable to my Panache Envy) and rests on my smaller breast. I can live with it, but I will first exchange it for a different cup size.

The bra looks wonderful on you and I'm glad you got to branch out to different brands. Just remember that if you do go up a cup, the wires will likely get wider. I am not very familiar with @Comexim, but I "know" this is a general rule that bras follow. I also think the tiny gap you gave now may get larger. Perhaps you could alter the gore or cup so that it will sit more inbetween your breasts and not on your tissue. Hope I was atleast a little helpful!

It is a truth universally acknowledged that every redhead should own an Ingrid.

That being said, I wish this fit better. Putting aside that I need a 75 (extenders exist!), this is too wide and shallow for me, and maybe a touch small in the cup. Totally wearable, and the materials are super comfy. But the fabled Comexim narrow/deep cups seem to be a thing of the past. If it were bigger (75HH?), I'm guessing it would be too closed on top. I'm still unsure whether or not a custom Comexim is worth the time and effort.

    Comexim Ingrid - Take 2!

I ordered this Ingrid from Breakout Bras; the size on the tag only indicates 32G, as an FYI. The Breakout Bra website recommends sizing up one cup size in this bra. I agree with this recommendation. The band is also very snug - I plan on using an extender until the band stretches a bit. If you do not care to do this, I recommend going up in the band as well.

Edited to add - I have lost some weight and now the band fits perfectly.

As for the cup fit, I fill the cup well on the sides and top but there is ... a hint of a gap in the center, directly above the gore. I believe this is because of both the narrow wires and narrow gore. However, the gap is minimal and is not visible under clothing. I don't consider this to be a size mismatch but a shape mismatch. All in all, I consider this bra to be a fit even though Bratabase does not.

Appearance - This bra is beautiful! I love the cream color and the floral pattern that reminds me of days gone by - but not in a granny sort of way. The material is comfortable.

Comexim bras are the only ones I can really order anymore, mostly because of the customizations they offer, which is GREAT. That being said, I ordered this one directly from Comexim, but I don't know if the raised gore and narrowed straps were actually done. The gore seems ok, but the straps are still too far apart. I think I might need to specifically tell them HOW narrow I need them, and possible get reduced cups, since the fabric rubs into my armpits still.
    Otherwise, these bras are amazing.

The standard move in is 2cm, but I find that somehow moving the straps in 2cm makes them feel farther apart (I'm not quite sure how). I usually request them moved in 4cm, and that works perfectly for me

    • 2

Oh, good to know! I wasn't sure what the "standard" was; obviously I didn't research it enough. I figure next time I order, I would ask for 5cm; hopefully that's something they can do!
      Thanks for the info!

This is a longline Ingrid with no other customizations. The lower side of the band feels tighter than the upper side. Cups seem TTS. Full review to come eventually...

    Didn't fit

My first Comexim, in 38E (it fit like a UK 36F), was my best-fitting and most comfortable bra. Since then I have gained weight and have tried the brand again in other sizes now twice; neither has really worked. I clearly have crossed over into the too-plus-sized-for-Comexim territory, which I was familiar with as a fitter when dealing with this brand; we had Comexim in larger sizes but they rarely worked, flopping right over due to the lack of coverage. The narrow, low, soft wires and low wings which make this a great brand for the small-band-large-bust set just don't suit many bigger women.

I went up one ... cup to try and get the wires wide enough, but at the expense of support; the cup is now a bit too big and the wires are still too narrow. I went up in the band, too, but even though (at a 37" ribcage) I am normally a 38 band, this 40 is too tight without an extender. The gore is too narrow (interestingly, this is actually what's making the wires too narrow for my root at the sides, since I removed a wire and measured it and it's my usual size 46 wire, no narrower than Panache or anything else, just very short at both the gore and the side) and causes the band to dig uncomfortably into my stomach under the gore, even when made quite loose with an extender.

Also, I don't love the materials, though they are perfectly in line with the bra's price. I fell for this bra because of the beautiful flower print but up close it's just a cheap, stretchy mesh. On the band it's overlaid on top of the firmest powermesh I have ever witnessed -- too firm! -- and the elastics likewise are overly firm and dig in unattractively. The straps feel stiff and dig in, though that's partly because the slightly large cup isn't providing enough support.

Although this is kind of a fail on me in a technical way, it's still one of my best fitting bras since my recent size change. And it's muy, muy beautiful! So I still wear it a lot. I do wish Comexim would broaden their gores and raise the side wire height on larger band sizes.

I know for customizations they can raise the wing height, which may help. It's worth a try to see if they would widen the gore, since they're willing to narrow it. I would recommend emailing them, if only for curiosity's sake :)

    • that's a good idea! I think i'm just not attached enough to comexim to worry about it, though. Basically all the features that make the brand what it is mean that it doesn't work perfectly for me, and there are plenty of other bras that will work fine. Plus I am starting to make my own :) so hopefully i'll be able to get allll the customizations I want :)

This bra has the most projection of any of my Comexim plunges, mostly at the center. This causes a small gape on me that even cookies don't fix. If you're FOB and need lots of room near the center, this bra will be great for you. If you're FOB, it will probably gape.

I thought this fabric would be a softer type, it's a bit scratchy But everything else is great! The cups, straps, the wire, the band--- all feels great.
