Pinkish gray colorway; hope to use as a nude under all but the sheerest fabrics. Love. Cups could be a little closer together, but they aren't a problem. If I gain one ounce, there will be quadraboob on my larger side, but again, is not currently a problem. Band fab, straps fab. Fit seems oddly different in some undefineable way from the smaller one that I have in the teal.
Bratabase wasn't allowing decimals, so here are the true measurements of the 70HH. Depth 10.25", band 22.75", cup height 6.75". Bra gave beautiful shape, but was about a cup to small for me. Im at that awkward stage right now where 30gg gives me quad boob and 30h gives me slight gaping. I'm going to try another comexim halfcup in 70J to see if the quadboob disappears.
This review is for the pink/gray colorway. While the color is not quite what I was expecting (it's a bit dull), the fit is fantastic! The band is a bit tight, but I suspect it will loosen up with a few wears, as Comexim bras so often do. I have some slight quadding with my larger boob, but I know a cup size up would simply be too big all around. Fantastic narrow wires, fully adjustable straps, and the support keeps my boobs where I want them -- up and at 'em, but not to my chin like I often feel is the case with Ewa Michalak bras. The support is certainly lighter then EM bras, but I personally prefer it for everyday. For those more familiar with UK sizing, I'd say this is the equivalent of a UK 32H.
I bought this, as I was quadding in my 75J model of this; however, this one is about a half to a full cup size big. The band feels between a 32 and 34, which is perfect for me. I just can't fill in the cups all the way, so there's some gaping at the top of the cup.
This is probably the biggest disaster for me so far. Unfortunate, because it would have been great to have finally found another option.
Got this used from another user here. She wasn't kidding when she said this bra was comfortable. The fabrics are super soft and not scratchy anywhere. It's also a pretty good looking bra and the quality seems pretty good too - at least in my limited experience with padded/lined bras. Sadly, this is where the positives end.
I'm pretty sure it's too big for me, but I'm not sure by how much, because it's also definitely the wrong shape. The cups are way too tall for my ...short roots. I don't think I've ever had so much empty space by the straps before. The cups also kind of come to a point and flex away from my breasts near the gore to reveal more empty space. Speaking of the gore; it floats about half an inch away. The band is a little loose, but comfortable.
When I combine all of these things, what I get is barely any lift, no support, and I imagine if the bra wasn't padded, the shape would be terrible as well. Reduced cup height would help a lot, but I'm not sure if it's worth the trouble.
I can't decide if I should bother trying to pin down a better size in this style or not. There's just so much wrong as it is. Needless to say, I won't be keeping this.
Fab shape, comfy fit. Although it's a beautiful bra, I'm not wild about how it looks on just because the placement of the floral fabric section is a little low on the cups. It's not bad; it's just not as pretty on as it could've been. Nice, firm band. Cup depth is great. Wires are a little wide, but not uncomfortably so.
Appearance: I love the blue details and pattern, but the background beige is a little blah for my taste. The lace trim and straps (also blue) are lovely.
Quality: excellent. All edges and seams look clean and I don't see any stray threads. Elastic is firm.
Comfort: band is a little snug but not tight. Better to break it in with an extender even if it does fit to prolong the life. Cups are soft. Straps don't itch.
Fit: the gore on this 75J is a full inch taller than my 75HH bras. I don't know if it's normal to jump that much going up just one size, ...but it doesn't work for me. The gore floats because of my close set breasts, and causes the cup to gape at the gore, slightly but enough to bother me. If I press the gore down, everything fits better, but I also feel like the fabric on the inner cups near the gore is too flat, not boob shaped. I guess that means I need more immediate projection? It might just be the angle of the horizontal seam, it's higher on this bra because of the higher gore.
Overall: pretty, comfy, but I'll stick with my 75HHs, possibly eventually ordering a lower gore 75J. Read more 105 more words
Oh Comexim, how I love thee. This bra fits me pretty well, with just minor gaping at the top. Because it's molded the gaping doesn't show, however. I'd probably do better with a cup size down at the moment, but during that certain time of the month I'd fill this bra out pretty well, so I'll keep it. The wires are narrow (which I LOVE) and the fabric is this black hole black as night black black satin. It's lovely. The tops of the cup are pretty high. Any higher and I couldn't wear it comfortably, and if I actually bought a bra from Comexim I'd order this model in a reduced cup height. The band is true to size. Nice rounded, gathered in shape. I feel very secure in this bra and wear it to dance practice because it keeps me from bouncing.
Pros: Absolutely perfect fit - gives a nice rounded shape, looks beautiful, elegant and gives me great cleavage (a mix between cakes on a plate and soft mounds) without quadboob - looks smooth under tops. It definitely gives that lifting feel which some bras just...don't. When I take the bra off, the light indentations (not painful ones!) show that it lies exactly around my breasts - this has never happened so well - I am SO pleased to find a bra that is exactly the right size and shape!
Cons:It's somewhat itchy and I would have liked some boning at the side. The elastic on the armpit edge and the bottom of the vertical seam in the middle/under the band material is a little itchy, but I have sensitive skin/eczema so it might just be me!
Otherwise it's just what I wanted, and at around £25.50 if I convert to my currency it's one of the best value in my drawer.
I just got this in the mail today, and it seems like such a sturdy workhorse kind of bra, and it's nude, which I need really bad as it's getting to be summer in Australia and all my bras are bright with prints so I can't wear them under stuff without layering, but HOW IS THIS A 36G?! The stretched band doesn't even stretch to 36"! I literally couldn't close it around my back, and I could tell before I even tried that there was no way my breasts were going to fit in the tiny little cups.
Is this normal for Comexim? Is it because I got it from Wellfitting? I'm so frustrated I don't even really want to exchange it because I've no clue what to exchange it for when it seems like this can't possibly be the size it says it is!
The cups are so very the wrong size it's not even worth trying. The cups are TINY.
not sure what Wellfitting told you but to get a UK "36G" you need at least a Comexim "36HH." AKA, 80HH for 36G. Since Polish brands tend to run tight in the back so you would sistersize up the back to keep the right cup. 36G=38FF=40F, so 80HH=85H=90G to get the right fit. Following the instructions on http://comexim.pl/content/6-sprawdz-rozmiar is the easiest way to go - using 36 as underbust and 45 as bust does result in Comexim 90G!
also some interesting comments here about wellfitting sizes coming in smaller than ordering straight from Comexim.. http://www.bratabase.com/adventures/entry/4646/#adventure-comment-29481 I've always heard chatter about The Basic running smaller than other Comexims due to the fabric used though. I stick to the patterned plunges.
If it helps, I recently got on here a comexim in 85H. (I wear a 36FF to 36G). It didn't get along well with me shape wise (plunges and I just don't get along well ). But size wise it seemed about the same as my 36G/36FF's. And wow- such smooth seams it was like a moulded cup without the fit problems. Good luck- hope that helps in your exchange. If you decide bit to exchange, I will be listing that comexim at some point. (I honestly set it somewhere and can't figure out where). I have no idea how much shipping to Australia is, though- may be easier to use well fitting to be able to get returns more easily v
MommaK if the exchange I get from Wellfitting works out for me, I'd love to grab your Comexim off you when you list it. I'll keep you updated.
Thanks guys! I was totally ready to send it back and just get a refund, but I'm going to try an exchange and get a 90G.
I took a long time deciding that I wanted to order this bra. I saw it come and go several times-here and on facebook, and I just wasn't sure. I thought it might be too frou-frou, and it is a little.
But so what! It turns out that it's really pretty in person. Kind of makes me feel like a fairy. The quality is Comexim's usual standard greatness, though I've only had it since July and I'm already on the 2nd set of hooks. As usual, their bands stretch really quickly, and the Butterfly is no exception. It's not a big deal, and I will take necessary steps when ...it gets too be too stretchy in what is likely going to be a few months from now.
Anyway.
Super comfy. The materials are great and soft against the skin. This bra is based on their basic, so it maintains that same fantastic shape and uplift with just a hint of moulding that they're so famous for. And it works really well here. The bra is just fun.
The underwear however, is a bit of another story. It runs SUPER tiny! I'm a small in clothing (and around a 6), but I usually buy mediums in underwear just so they don't cut into my hips. Got the large in these and they cut into my hips, which is annoying. Same goes for the matching Monaco bikini bottoms in a large-cut into my hips too much. Unfortunately, I also know that sizing up to an XL wouldn't work because it'd be far too big, so I think I'm just going to have to forgo Comexim underwear for a while and just stick to their bras.
That's fine and dandy though, as I'm finding out that Ewa Michalak's underwear actually fits me pretty nicely. Read more 191 more words
I'm seeing a cup width of 10.2"? That doesn't seem right. :/ Typo?
