I ordered this bra with the alterations: - reduced cup height - reduced gore height - straps moved in. This bra has a very tight band. While it's a 38 band, it feels like a tight 34. The lower elastic on the band has an extra elastic sewn onto it, elastic which has a transparent side, and underneath it another thin black elastic. You can somehow notice this in the pictures on the website, but it's not really obvious until you know what you're looking for. From the point of view of looks, the bra is covered in a black mesh, similar to the Ingrid. The mesh on the Ingrid ...feels a bit softer to the touch, but this could be because it's already been washed and worn quite a bit. The inside of the cups is anyway lined with soft cotton. The mesh and the decorations make it look a bit less like a plain black everyday bra. The top edge of the cups is marked with a bronze coloured band, which has a braided pattern. The pattern is not flat, but I'm not sure how that would look under a shirt, I didn't try on the bra with a shirt. The tassle on the centre gore is very fun https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" /> It's just as expected from the pictures.
That fabric is gorgeous!! It reminds me of the Masquerade Rhea, with the wide lace sewn on the top part of the cup. The fabric is satiny but not overly glossy, it looks and feels very luxurious.
I ordered this with the alterations: - reduced wing height, wire lower under the arm by 2cm - reduced centre gore height - cookie pockets. The gore was also made overlapping.
Regarding the fit, the band is very tight. I'd say this fits like a tight 34 band or a 32. I always wear 34-36 bands and for me it's way too tight, I can barely fasten it. Which is understandable, at 28in unstretched and barely 33in stretched. I would say this fits like a 75M.
My first comexim was the Basic in 75H. When it arrived about a year ago it fit great, but everything I've ordered since then has had a bit too stretchy of a band. Also, I've reduced in cup size. I think I've come to the realization that I am a 70G, perhaps 70F, now (I have an order en route from Comexim as we speak which will be telling. When this model popped up for sale here in a 70G I couldn't resist buying, because Comexims rarely pop up on bratabase in my size range.
The band on this model is the stretchiest yet, even stretchier than Nadin which ...is known to run large in the band. It's on the last set of hooks and still fits loose. I did buy this used which could explain the looser fit... To a certain extent. To be fair, my new Comexim with a 70 band is still on the way, so this is just the fit compared to my Basic in a 75 which is quite tight by comparison (I still wear that on the first row of hooks). Oddly enough, the band doesn't seem to ride up, nor does the looseness seem to detract from the overall look and profile. I will thus wear this baby as long as I can get away with it! I didn't realize that this was a multi-way until it arrived. Compared to my other Comexims, it wasn't very comfortable as the straps dug in my upper back/ neck area. Perhaps it was because I had the straps moved inward. This model is more comfortable to wear as a regular bra, but then it is definitely way to big.
Overall, I found that this model runs large- too large to be passable (compared to other Comexim bras of the same plunge size). I've lost the last of my baby weight and no longer nurse, so I am more of a 70G / H at the moment. Nonetheless, my other ...75H Comexims plunges are still wearable. The cups gape more than usual. In addition to the cups being too large, i had to use the last row of hooks on this model and it was still a bit too loose. Compared to the fit of my other Comexims, I would recommend sister sizing down from your normal Comexim size with this model (which is gorgeous, btw).
I do think my short roots necessitate trying the 3HC (which are en route), so the fit might be affected by my shape. I cant quite fill the top part of the cups of any of my plunges (due to the somewhat rigid nature of the foam cups, though, they are thankfully still wearable and the slight gaping inside is not noticeable under clothing).
I will have to list this one, as I can't make it work. Read more 142 more words
Comexim has, yet again, delivered a stunning, dynamic, red bra. This color is a deep merlot with multiple shades of red and orange floral embroidery around the gore and cups. Again, it doesn't fit my center-full, close-set breasts despite the overlapping and narrowed gore. There is not enough center projection at the base of the gore. This is the pattern feature that always causes a burning sensation regardless of bra size. I've tried MANY. Sigh.
If you have don't have omega-shaped breasts, this bra may fit your center-full breasts perfectly. It is a high quality, supportive, gorgeous bra. But, not the best shape for my omega-shaped pair that require a more narrow top and bottom gore width.
I love the matte, beige, neutral fabric of this bra so much, but the cup is either too small or too closed on top for my FOB, wide-set, splayed boobs - I get quadding for both by the end of the day, and hints of it in my larger boob right away when I put it on. The gore is too high to be a plunge, but that's what this fit otherwise remind me of. Somehow, the projection at the wire isn't too bad, I don't find it riding down throughout the day, which is nice...just the quadding. I tried sizing up to a 70G (albeit in black, this one is beige) in this style, but it was huge (see my Elena 70G review and photos). I'm thinking the 2-part half cup is just not a shape match for me with Comexim..I'll keep trying for a good everyday nude from Comexim, like their Honey Cookie as a 3HC, Basic in beige as a 3HC, or Ginger as a 3HC.
For a two-part half-cup, this Comexim fits me really well - when my boobs are a bit fuller, I get some quadding, but when they're less full, it's a great fit, similar to most of the Comexim 3HC styles I've tried. I'm FOB, narrow-rooted, have narrow shoulders, need immediate projection, and am splayed and wide set. The lace is a bit scratchy and because it's unlined, I don't wear this out of the house - but that's fine, since I bought it as a bedroom bra anyway. Only tough thing is finding bottoms to match!
Suuuuuuper comfy & looks great under clothes (can't see stitching/fabric/etc thru shirts.) Like the shape it gives, it feels less "structured" to me so while support isn't an issue for me (small volume) it might be more noticeable for someone with a heavier/larger bust.
Lovely brilliant red plunge bra. TTS in cups and band as compared to my 65HH - Comexim ยป Brigitte Biustonosz (332). Like all Comexims, it's also extremely comfortable. However, I've come to find that the plunge cut doesn't suit me as well as the 3HC, so I will be passing this one along.
Thanks so much for posting pictures of this beauty. The stock photos make it look a lot more pink, but your pictures look like a nice red. Do you think that your photos are pretty accurate color-wise?
cupandahalf Sure thing! Yes, I'd say they're pretty accurate to how it looks in real life... a deep, cherry red with no pink at all :)
How wide is the base of this gore? My last order from Comexim did not arrive with the narrowed gores I had requested...none of the bras fit. This one may fit... :-)
Beautiful materials and details in person, as typical of Comexim bras. The black lace with eyelash edge detail on the band and wide lace trim along the top of the cup are gorgeous, and the bow detail at the gore is pretty without being "too much" for me. Comexim lists this bra as a plunge style on the website, so this was a special order as a three-part half-cup. For me, it fits identically to my Sonia three-part half-cup in the same size, except that the band is a bit tighter and firmer (at least for now). The inner cup material is a little scratchy but not bad, and I'm guessing that will abate somewhat with washing. Another win from Comexim for me!
After I realized a 70F (beige) Elena two-part half cup was slightly too small in the cup or too closed on top for my larger breast, I ordered a two-part Elena half cup in 70G to see if the fit would be better. Surprisingly, cups were too wide for both breasts. I'm thinking this is just a shape mismatch for my wide-set FOB breasts, given that neither of these fit, but three-part half-cups in the same band and cup size typically do. I love the option of a basic bra in beige or black from Comexim and may try to reorder this style as a three-part half cup to see if there is a difference. It's too bad, because it's a great basic option, just not the one for me.
This bra is pretty and really well made. The Coco has great construction, thick and sturdy lace, and great straps that are soft and stretchy, but strong. The pink bow is sewed on well and won't come off if you're like me and you put your bras through the washer (I know, I know, but at my house it's not feasible to hand wash and dry my bras). Asthetically, it's a nice bra and I can see why many users like Comexim. This is my first Comexim bra, but I can see just from looking at the materials and trying it on that they have really quality construction ...and support for plus size or large-busted women.
Another user gifted me this bra so that I could have a sizing reference to help me figure out the right cup depth/width and estimate my Comexim size. I can't comment much on the fit because I got it knowing that the band was a few inches too big. I may take in a couple inches off the band to see how it fits. The cup is almost right (the top doesn't lay flat because it's a little too big, but the bottom fills fine); the gore doesn't totally tack at the top, and the band is huge. I'm guessing I need a 90 band. Read more 112 more words
Compared to my Audrey in 60M, this has a bit tighter band, and is shallower in the cups. Overall good construction, and makes great "cakes on a plate" cleavage. The beige color is the perfect nude bra for me, though I may need to go up a cup size.
I got this bra from Comexims Sale section to nail down my plunge size - it fits which means I need one size less than in 3HC. I have FOT breasts with average projection, I do not need wide wires. I think for those who need wider wires this could be a problem. The bra is absolutely comfy to wear, the color is a vibrant blue, I only dislike the black straps and details. For me the shape is very similar to the 3HC, a bit less lifted and the bra itself is more covering. I removed the black lace and turned down 1 cm of the center gore, ...now I'm okay with the degree of covering and I think I can wear this bra with more or less low cut tops. So T think I would ask for this modifications if I order a plunge in the future. I do not know why, but at the moment I still do not feel very good in this bra. I will give it some time to change, otherwise I'll rather stick to the 3HC. Read more 73 more words
I'm in between a 55H and 55HH in Comexim 3HCs. I tried this with straps moved in and reduced gore, but it's still too shallow. With the alterations, it looks more like a cross between the plunge and 3HC styles.
Bought this from another Bratabase user and it definitely whetted my appetite for more Comexims despite being too small in the band and cup. Sizing issues aside, I can tell that this model is ideal for others like me with narrow torsos/shoulders and close-set breasts. Strongly suggest adding cookie pockets to Comexims if making a custom order -- the bra I bought had them and though I never inserted cookies due to already-insufficient cup capacity, I found the pocket material itself ultrasoft and super cozy. The band is snug and a "true" 28, so I'd suggest going for 65 (30) if you're between band sizes.
When I pulled this bra out of the package I was so surprised to find that Irish Coffee is now made with a different lace! Instead of the original creme-colored overlay, this one has a tan-colored intricate floral one. I actually think I like it better than the original https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> The fit is consistent with my other 65J 3HCs; still a little lacking in center projection but otherwise super comfy. Like the Irish Coffee plunge, the band on this model is just a bit less firm than my other Comexims.
My first Polish bra! The bra came to me with an extender, which I'm surprised I didn't need. I can do the bra up on the loosest hooks comfortably, maybe the band is just very stretchy. The bra is very comfortable.
This bra makes me feel like there is still hope in the world! While clearly too large in both cup width and cup depth, this is still wearable AND stays in my IMF all day without any fussing with it. There is a huge jump in cup width at this size - only two sizes down the cup is 6.5 inches, and this is like 7.5. The 100HH is just over 7 inches as well, so I think the perfect fit would be a 100HH with a custom cup width of 6.5 inches, or a 100H with a custom depth of 13. I will try that next time.
The only thing I'm not crazy about is that there's a hook that scratches me. Seems like it must be a fluke as it's only one hook, and looking at it I can't tell why it's doing it. I'll have to figure out how to sew something soft over it.
Great projection at the wire, and the construction is such that even though it's clearly too small I still feel relatively contained. There is a large difference between this and the next size up in the 3HC style, however - the cup width changes from 6.5 inches to just over 7.
