Green Velvet is a discontinued model from 2011. It was originally offered in the standard plunge cut, but I was recently lucky enough to have Anna make this into a 3HC just for me. As this fabric is five years old, I do not know if there is any left. If interested, you can absolutely contact Comexim and ask, but I'm not promising that my set didn't use it all up! Green Velvet is a rich emerald green mesh fabric with a soft floral pattern flocking. It is stunningly gorgeous in its simplicity and its rarity of color in the lingerie world. It looks fantastic against my pale skin ...and dark hair. I feel like a forest queen when I wear it. The elastics, clasp, and adjusters are all green. It's beautiful.
My band is utterly true to size for a 60 stretching to exactly 28". This is the first bra I've had that stretched dead on to it's tagged size. It's perfect on the loosest set of eyes. The clasp is 3x3. I didn't ask for it, it just came that way. It's not a really wide clasp, so the third row isn't a problem for me. The straps are smooth and soft on the bottom. They're easy to adjust and surprisingly stay in place. The wires are narrow and comfortable. They are soft and my gore doesn't quite tack (this is an ongoing issue with me and Comexim. Lack of center projection perhaps? Too soft? I don't know, but it doesn't interfere with support, so whatever). The cups are nicely projected at the wire then come in to create a round slightly minimized shape. I find this so very much like the shape that Ewa Michalak HP cuts give, but more comfortable because the straps are set in more.
The underwear are custom. When I ordered the set, I didn't pick a size. I just told Anna I wanted a thong and a brief and then gave her my hip measurements. They are just a touch too large and they are very high cut. They are not sexy, but the fabric is so beautiful that they aren't matronly either.
This is my first Comexim 3HC, and it's perfect. I love this bra and I love this cut. I will always order a 3HC from Comexim in the future. I'm actually considering reordering all of my current Comexims in a 3HC and selling off my plunges. Green Velvet 3HC is another bra that I will keep in my drawer forever and ever. Wow. I've been staring at this bra since I found the first pictures. I finally got my green bra by dying but your way is much better, prettier and easier.
the fit is stunning! this cut fits you like a glove. I had the issue with non tacking gore in CHP Ametyst precisely because of the soft wires.
It's gorgeous as a 3HC! It's odd that it is 3x3, I thought that started at 65HH and sistersizes.
Oh my, it's gooooooorgeous! <3 Lucky you, you look like an elf in this <3
Thanks everyone! It's really stunning, it's a favorite for sure.
I had been eyeing the Coco for quite some time now, but I am quite picky about unlined bras and there isn't a whole lot of information on Comexim's unlined bras either. I finally decided to buy it when I saw it listed on here for a decent price, and I really didn't want to order this one direct and wait a month or two before being able to see if I would even like it.
The bra arrived today and I was a bit concerned if it would fit because I usually wear 65H in Comexim 3HC and the same in plunge but with reduced cups. ...It also happened to arrive the same day as my period so my boobs are a bit larger. Since I did get a 60H I counted on having to wear this with an extender, but it is on the larger side of TTS stretching to about 29in.
I grabbed an extender and went ahead and tried it on. To my surprise it actually fits quite well, just a bit of bubbling which I suspect will go away in a few days and if not, it's really not enough to justify a size up in this bra.
The bra seems to be quite projected especially at the wire more so than the padded 3HC's. It is a bit closed off towards the top were a horizontal seam meets the 2 vertical seams, but the very edge of the lace is a bit more forgiving, I think this might be part of where I get some bubbling. I am fairly high set and event/ slightly FOT, this would probably be problematic if you are very FOT.
I am actually quite pleased with the shape it gives and that is quite a feat for an unlined bra to acheive. I'm not a fan of Cleo's unlined offerings because while they give great cleavage and roundness they bring everything in too much for me. While the Coco does give a round shape it doesn't push everything so inward either. I also don't think it gives quite as much lift and cleavage as a Cleo, but still provides great shape and support. The clothed photo doesn't really show this, but it does seem to give a slightly minimized appearance, but this could be what is keeping everything from being pushed so far inward and centered too. If you are like me and aren't a fan of most unlined bras especially Cleo's this might be a good option to try.
I wore the bra for several hours today and it is quite comfortable as far as fit, but the material is a bit scratchy, hopefully that will change with more wash and wear.
I bought a used one of these here, too! Much bigger. But i also said it was scratchy and hopefully would soften up! It is less scratchy, 2 washes in, but its still not soft. For me, the softer comexim wires just dont support quite as well. it is lovely though. Its the only comexim i've owned.
I received this bra used. The fabric colours on the inside of the bra are a little mismatched but that could be from washing, although I do see other users mentioning this for this model. The band runs slightly snug and stretches to 27" but is quite stretchy. I have to wear it on the tightest hook already. I quad a little on my smaller side, or I'm too FOT for it, but the fit is perfect on my smaller side. I think I would ideally wear the 60HH for this model. There is little room for immediate Projection, which I have much of, so this bra gives me a push-up effect. I'll stitch the gore to be narrower; this one is only slightly overlapping just at the very top and then it separates pretty widely. I anticipate I will be wearing this frequently.
This is a nice, comfortable and supportive bra. I had it made with cotton cookie pockets, which are super comfortable and good for asymmetry correction, but all pictures are without cookies. The band fits like a 26. The straps are adjustable, but not easily done. This bra is a little too small in the cups, especially on my larger side. I think a 60HH would have been a better fit. It gives a nice shape and lift, though, and holds my very soft breasts firmly and securely. Gives good cleavage too.
A long overdue update to the blog and review of the Comexim classic Ingrid that I can't believe I went so long without trying. Beautiful autumn-friendly floral pattern, typical narrow wires, more apex than immediate projection. A size smaller than I originally wore in Comexim is making me feel the extent of the shrinkage I've had. I'm wearing mostly 28Fs and tight-banded 30Es these days. Fits well and makes me feel classy!
Yay. A new review! Welcome back. Also perfect timing. I really want to order this same bra, but am not sure if I also need a 60H now... I have been obsessing over Ingrid for a few days, but my existing 60HHs have me stumped. When you measured at the apex, which part of the cup was it?
I found the deepest part to be where the two seams meet.
Thanks for the review. From what I've read in a couple of your reviews, I think I fit bras pretty similarly to you (broad shoulders, short roots, narrow, soft), so I find your reviews particularly helpful. It looks great on you, btw.
Thanks, that's how I measure mine. I noticed that your depth measurement is deeper than the other 60H Ingrids on here, but troubling for me is that the measurements are really close to my 60HHs, so I'm totally stumped on sizing again :/ I might try writing to Anna with pics. I'm starting to wonder if I got one 60H mislabeled.
I got this bra of r/braswap to test a theory I had on Comexim. I have tried a decent amount of Comexim bras, in an array of sizes. I've found 65G sometimes works, but it's a fine border between fitting and too small at least in a lot of the styles I have tried, so I've started getting 65H with reduced cups which works pretty well. However, most of my best fits in Comexim have come from the bras that have some sort of trim along the cup edge and I had yet to try one without trim in a cup volume that worked well. ... I decided that I should experiment with an untrimmed style in the 65G or an equivalent sister size and see how that would work for me. I found this 60H Giselle for a good price and decided to give it a shot.
The Giselle arrived today, and somehow I had totally forgot I was expecting it (I think I'm too eagerly awaiting my Anna Pardal from Sophisticated Pair which should be here any day now). Normally I rush to try on a bra, but this time I logged into my Bratabase and r/braswap accounts because I couldn't remember anything about buying this, after the minute it took to do that I then rushed to try it on, honestly not having high hopes. I try it on and other than needing to wear it with an extender (I expected this as 28/60 bands are usually too small for me), it is perfect. There is no gaping whatsoever and I'm not quadding out of it or even having slight bubbling. Before trying this bra I thought I was going to have to make sure to stick with Comexims that have trim or their 3 part 2 seam half cups.
The only down side to this particular bra is that the lace is visible under thin shirts, but it fits great and is comfortable. It's also cold where I live so I'm usually wearing a hoodie this time of year anyhow. Read more 248 more words
This is the coolest bra ever, I mean it's the moon!
So, I pretty thoroughly reviewed the awesomeness of the Luna in a 60F, so I'll keep this a little shorter. This one was sold to me by another user, so it's been worn and washed. It's still the softest bra in the world! So, that's nice. The fit on this is pretty perfect, wires are a great width, cup depth is perfect, straps and band are all comfortable. I have absolutely no complaints except that my gore doesn't tack :/ At this point I have four Comexims, Two tack, two don't. Despite the lack of contact, it doesn't seem to ...have any sort of impact on support or comfort. I do not quad when I push it in and it does not tack if I use an extender. So, it's not me and it's not the bra, and I don't care https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" />
Undies are a size S for my 38" bum and 31" hip bones. They're a cute little hipster/boyshort cut that shows quite a bit of cheek on me. So, they're more like a cheeky on me though I think they're designed for more coverage. Anyway, they don't dig in anywhere, even across the bum, and they're just as soft as the bra. I love the Luna to the Luna and back ;) It also doesn't tack on me, but I find it's "closer" to tacking if I use an extender, though it's perfectly comfortable without one. It really is so soft, it's incredible! I'm currently wearing a 60H in it right now, myself. I'm really tempted to get those matching undies because they look adorable in those photos!
This came earlier yesterday and I actually almost cried from relief after I tried it on.
I started Spironolactone again recently, and a daily 10 minute massage. Something I've known about, but felt awkward actually doing. I was 40-50lbs heavier between 2013 and mid 2014, wearing(probablg poorly fitting) 36-38C's. I thought I was experiencing pain because my 34/36 bands were too small, but I imagine I was about a 34E or F. My boobs were huge, but I lost almost all firmess and any shape I'd finally obtained after losing weight. I've noticed a lot of improvement in my breast shape and texture from what I've been doing.
Growing up with ...my boobs the way they've been, being teased(before I wore a bra to hide my shape), and being self conscious in general has been a nightmare to me.
These last two bras and my new routine have made me feel so much relief, I can't even put it into words. Things just keep getting better, and in the bra/boob world, my luck has been consistently improving.
I'm sure I'll always mostly hate my boobs, but perfectly fitting bras make them bearable.
By measurements, I thought the Coco would be good, and it's perfect. This bra is on top with my Cleo Lucy. I just want to give all my other bras away.
The wires are the perfect width, the depth is just enough, and the band is very taut, while still being comfortable.
After receiving this and the Cleo Lucy, I think I'm ready to get rid of some bras that haven't worked as well for me. I'm (probably)not even going to bother with VS anymore. ;p I have super high hopes for Comexim and Cleo.
The appearance of this bra is really lovely IMO, and gives a very nice rounded shape. The lace is very comfortable, and not at all elastic-y like I've experienced with many lace unlined bras. I don't mind the elastic lace, except when it's too tight or on the top band of the cups(think Just Peachy Lace Non Padded Balconette). The lace on these cups is nothing like that whatsoever.
I was a little concerned about the band (28-29") but again, it's absolutely perfect. I'm so so so happy to have finally found my perfect bras.
I knew that my Freya Hopscotch Longline was a tiny bit off, but when I started here I thought it was the most perfect fit I was going to get. It fits well and I love the uplift, but it's so far from a bra that I feel was "made for me". I love this bra and the Lucy(and Spiro! fyi high androgen levels) for giving me some self esteem back.
I think the Coco will work for narrow roots that need some, but not major projection. I usually wear 30E's with 8.5-9" depth depending on the type and shape of bra, and this fits me perfectly. I also customized some old wires at 5.3" width, so that's what I need, precisely, and this bra measures about 5.3". I feel like it was made for my boobs.
The gore is also much closer than my Cleo Lucy(which I will note, does not bother me in the Cleo, but it's just a few centimeters difference which I like), and the cups are less bowl shaped. I don't mind the semi-bowl shape in the Cleo either, it's not major, still narrow, and still fits me wonderfully, but I'm just saying, this is the perfect fit for me in every way. The wires are a lot more U shaped.
One thing I did notice is that my left, larger side, also my slightly more FoT side, appears to quad just slightly. I don't believe it's noticeable, it doesn't affect comfort, and I may just need to loosen the strap. With that said, I think this bra works well for even fullness, but may also work for just slightly more FoB or slightly FoT. There seems to be room for even fullness in the cups.
In a shirt, this bra gave me a slightly minimized look, which I wasn't expecting because without the shirt I don't feel like it's minimizing. Assuming that's from the rounding out vertical seams. Still, I like the up front and centered, but rounded look much more than the off to the sides look that I get from a lot of other bras, regardless of which appears fuller.
With and without a top, this gives a really great rounded profile and appears more natural for my body volume wise, which I like a lot. The half cup is also a true half cup and works perfectly for me. It's nice to actually have a half cup that doesn't have super wide/wide wires, and that's literally a half cup everywhere else but just in the name. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" /> I normally have had problems with unpadded half cups cutting into my tall roots/muscle, but didn't have that problem at all with this, probably because it is, well, a true, actual "half cup".
My shoulders measure a few inches more than my hips, but I have a small frame, so I have problems with wide straps at times. The straps aren't too far apart on this, which is always a huge plus.
Vertical seams don't appear thick, and I doubt will show at all under clothes. They give a great rounded profile. The wires are narrow, and centers(gore) touches, so they give a nice, up front and centered look face on. Something I have an awful hard time finding in most bras.
This bra is perfect. I'm super excited to make my next Comexim purchases after receiving this https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I'm pretty sure that unless I get distracted by something shiny, Comexim and Cleo are all I'll be buying for a while.
Got this bra from another bratabase user and... this is my best fit yet! Yayyy!!!! This bra is so freaking comfortable, I have felt the need to take it off and check to make sure it really does have underwires. My photos do show slight gapping at the inside edge of the cup, especially on the right side, but that's nursing-related deflation and me holding my arms out. Give me an hour and the gaps'll be gone.
Pros: Gorgeous dark blue-green color with pretty black embroidery. My photos do *not* do this bra justice. Band is comfortably snug on the loosest hook and doesn't move around on me-- also, it ...has 4 sets of hooks instead of the usual 3, so I should be able to get a lot of wear out of it before the band stretches too big for me. Cups fit perfectly with NO gapping and no quadding, and this is the first bra I've had that's not trying to push itself down out of my IMF all the time. Wires seem to be the perfect width/ shape, and I didn't even consider bending them. Like I said above, while I'm wearing it, it doesn't even feel like it has an underwire. Also, this is the non-matrix sized bra I've tried on where the straps aren't placed way too wide for all of my clothes. They follow the straps of my tank tops exactly, which is fantastic. Did I mention that it's super-comfy? Like I'm getting a boob-hug all day!
Cons: I don't like bows in general, and this one is just silly looking to me. I'm probably going to take it off and replace it with a pretty button. No really, that's the only con. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" />
Update: Replaced the bow with the aforementioned pretty button, and now there are ZERO cons to this bra. Seriously, I need 5 more of them in different colors. Best. Bra. Ever. Read more 215 more words
It fits perfectly on my smaller side (8.5" perimeter) but my larger side (9) feels a bit unstable because the cups aren't as tall as I need for my tall breasts and I would quad if the cups weren't so open on top. I don't think there is enough immediate projection for me. I think in comexim half cups I need to size up. The gore is overlapped at the top and the band fits closer to a 26 so I'm inclined to keep this one. The uplift and rounding is excellent, and it of course looks very lovely as we're used to with comexim.
Edit: Sadly, I will sell this as I'd rather use the money to spend toward on a taller bra with more immediate projection.
My measurements are 26" UB, 33" standing, and 34" leaning.
It looks great on you. Sorry it's not a perfect fit. If you were to order directly from Comexim, I bet a 60HH would be perfect if you got cookie pockets. Then you could fit your larger breast and put a cookie (or 2) in the smaller side. And Ewa Michalak bras are awesome too. They come with cookie pockets and cookies and have great immediate projection.
Victoria and I have come a long way together. I've tried every cut and alteration combination imaginable since my first attempt at the 3HC over a year ago! The plunge is definitely a better fit for my center fullness and apex projection in comparison to the 3HC. My boobs are appropriately celebrating their independence today. For all the details, I've written a comparison review of Victoria as a more-or-less standard 60H plunge compared with a highly customized 60HH with reduced cups. You can read the full review on my blog (including 10% off discount links). My final Victoria post will be the 2HC, which I think is an underestimated Comexim cut.
I HAVE FOUND MY HOLY GRAIL OF BRAS. I ripped this out of the package and immediately tried it on when I got home. At first I thought it would be wayyy too small/shallow, but I must be used to the depths on bras with much wider cups. This bra fits perfectly and is super comfortable! I haven't taken it off yet! All the general boxes are ticked: gore tacks (without stabbing), band is tight but not suffocating (and is comfy right now on the loosest set), straps are close enough together that they don't jump off my shoulders all the time, the cups ...are NARROW (honestly the narrowest I've experienced in this size range) and don't rub on my armpits. Besides all that, it ticks off all the secondary sort of things that I like in a bra. The material is soft, non-irritating, and light, and I get really awesome uplift without the bra cutting in or having any extra space.
I can't believe I got this lucky https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_surprised.gif" alt=":O" /> I think I have my Comexim size pinned down, even without any alterations! I will probably go and order this same bra in black and some others now that I have my size!!! So incredibly happy with this bra https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

That looks awesome on you! I'm glad you got your Comexim sizing figured out right away. How long did it take you to receive your package (I'm waiting on one now)?
This looks great in you!!! And Basic tends to be taller than their newer cuts so you should be fine without alterations. Congrats!! (PS, finally someone besides myself that doesn't need alterations on Comexims lol)
*on you!
Thanks lcl0706 ! It's odd, I *always* have trouble with bras rubbing my armpits and so naturally assumed that shortening the cups was for me! Comexim is magic or something.
Thanks! I actually ordered it from another user on here (thanks to amandafire for the fast shipping!) so I don't have info on how long an actual shipment from Comxim is taking "/
No alterations, and surprisingly awesome! It's so SO soft. Unbelievably soft. The softest Comexim I've tried. Surprisingly, less quadding than I got in the 60HH's with reduced cups. What is this place? I love it!
This is gorgeous!!!! And gorgeous on you! Love it!
I might be over the moon about it. ;)
Nope, you need to sell it to me...
I'm just kidding, it looks so good for being too small! It must run bigger.
That looks amazing! *_*
I love the Luna print. I remember when it was on the Comexim site and I was unsure of my size and procrastinated too long. I should check out Posh.
I love this colorway, omg.
kerniss OK you talked me into it! That print is entirely too (errr..) out of this world! Just got off the phone with Posh Lingerie and I may have scored the last "30G" Luna on the planet. Of course I'll have to use an extender on the very last hook, but think of those astronauts trapped in a tiny little pod, did THEY worry about petty details? :)
I wish there was one left in anything that could possibly fit me! Maybe they'll come up with something like it soon? Fingers crossed! :)
I thought this would help some people because it's sort of a weird/rare print and bra in itself! My partner thought it looked like an abstract moon, which is somewhat accurate, but I love this baby! Thank y'all - it OBVIOUSLY ain't a perfect fit but I like it all the same. And great job jennyanni ! :D Yeah, I don't think the astronauts were worried much about their undies LOL.
This is my first Comexim bra and I love it! The quality seems really good, the shape works really well for me AND the gore is narrow enough to fit nicely between the ladies! It's the first bra that I don't think I will get red marks because the gore is too wide! All of that is awesome AND it's a nude bra! I've been needing a nude bra! (Now spring can hurry up and get here because I'm ready to wear my more sheer tops)
Fits like a large 28F or small 28FF. I usually wear 28F and I'm empty on top, so there's slight gaping in the top. It's kind of shallow in the bottom. Pushes breasts toward the center for cleavage. Style fits like something between a plunge and full-cup. Invisible under t-shirts! Band is tight, stretchy, stays in place, and very comfortable, in large part due to the high wings. Stretches to no more than 28" when new, which is great, because my ribcage circumference measures about 27". Cups are very tall and padded. Too tall for me (6.5" tall!), because I have a short torso. The tops of the cups are too wide apart, and therefore the straps are a bit too far apart. Fully-adjustable straps. I plan to try a cup size down in the 60G, because I really like this.
Today I was fortunate enough to try on this 60G Comexim Beauty Half Cup, from bratabase user cat_the_rat . The bra was shipped and arrived quickly in a smooth transaction. When I opened the package and saw the Bra In person, I felt so happy because it is such a beautiful bra, the construction and quality far surpassing any Victoria Secret Push Up bras I would have gotten a few years back. The bra did look a little smaller and more shallow than I pictured with the measurments, but with my weight loss I am smaller and I think slightly less projected than I ...was prior. The bra is Lightly Padded and has cookie pockets (although none came with this bra) and if I could obtain one, it would maybe be nice to add on my smaller side.
The fit. I have some 30FF 30G bras and 20G 20GG bras that are too big or Ill fitting as I've been losing more weight, so I hoped this bra would fit better and more like a 28FF or 28F but reminds me more of the cup volume of my 28E Cleo. I Am assymetrical, my right breast is smaller than my other by an inch all around so, this fits that brrast better with a little quad book effect with the other. I have less inner fullness than I did when Heavier, but I am still somewhat Center full,, wonder if an HH would have the depth I needed or not. The narrow wires are a breath of fresh air, I think wires under 6 fit me better. One breast (the right) is very narrow, the left somewhat narrow but because I am petite with narrow shoulders and only 4 ft 8 i think breast roots are comparatively more narrow (and shorter) in general. The Wires may overlap at the gore, which may be an alteration the origenal buyer ordered because they are closer than my swim top, which which love, but I may be mistaken. The 60 Band is good, Rarely can I wear a bra of any size and not wear it on the tightest hook. This one is 3 rows of 2, I had it on the loosest pictured but I would certainly want to move it in to the next one. I prefer 3+ Hooks but this is fine because it is so sturdy. The straps are actually a perfect distance apart and adjust enough and are my preferred thickness. I don't think the cup height is reduced, but luckily the cups are not too tall, which is great. The cup size is a little small but I feel like my brrasts are Fuller right now than usual. I may keep this bra in case I continue to lose weight and ot keep my eye out for a larger size depending on the measurments. This bra is beautiful, I just wish the cups were a little deeper and bigger, Otherwise it's all I want in a bra. Thank you so much cat_the_rat Read more 405 more words
I think you should try HH. I wear exactly 28F in UK manufacturers, for size reference, and I always find comexim 60 HH to be the best fit. Comexim 60H is always a hair too small. It's not a perfect conversion because occasionally I have a little too much cup room in the 60 HH, and once in a while I put a 60H on and it seems to look right in the fitting room, but every 60H I've ever bought, i have regretted.
I really think a 60H fits between E and F, and a 60 HH is between F and FF. So I think if you tried a 60 HH that would give you the fit that you mentioned you would like to find, a fit similar to 28F /FF!
Need to edit I wrote 60G at the start of this, it's 60H *
Thank you callie510! I have been losing weight so hard to find the right size when my chest size and shape has been slowly changing, but always assyemtrical. I mistyped in my review, this is the 60H not a 60G and I also just tried a 55HH which I think had a little more depth and height but also was way too small as well. (It was the Comexim Mint Plunge, although I kept thinking it was a half cup because it's so different than my hot chocolate Plunge and so much shorter/more narrow) I am wondering if I sized up if this would have enough depth at the inner wire. My best fitting similar bra is a Cleo UK28FF. This bra cup size sort of reminds me of my unlined 28E cleo that is too small especially on my bigger side. I just tried on a cleo 28FF Hettie, which wad a little big at the top, so I do think I am about a UK28F or 28FF depending on the bra. I just find this bra so beautiful that i hope I can find one that fits well enough, this one looks ridiculous when i scoop and swoop. I feel like this bra will be way too shallow and small even if I lose weight so I may rehome this on here. Thank you for sharing I'll use your experience to help guide my next purchase. :D
** This is a customized bra! The only non-standard measurement is CUP HEIGHT. **
When a package from Poland arrives in the mail, it is truly a happy day. Incidentally, this second shipment from Comexim was sent out during the COVID crisis right before Comexim shut down production, but it somehow arrived more quickly than my order earlier this spring (25 days instead of 30 days).
The only customization I requested in this order was: Cup height reduced 1 cm, straps moved in 1 cm.
Since I am now so used to seeing my Comexim collection in 60H with no alterations (as a point of comparison, I am using my ...Ingrid Plunge in 60H as the standard for this size and cut), I was taken a bit by surprise to see how much smaller this altered Plunge with reduced cup height appeared at first. Even though I only asked for 1 cm cup height reduction, this creates a very noticeable visual change in the proportions of the bra, because the 1 cm is taken from the CENTER of the cup. Actually, because the gore height is maintained, the reduction is tapered, and you end up with more reduction at the outer cup, so it actually reduces the plunge effect and straightens out the cup a bit. The resulting height ends up very similar to that of the 60G, but straighter. If you want to maintain the same shape, you will need to ask for the gore to also be lowered by the same amount as the cup height reduction, but I am not sure if they can do this while maintaining the same wires.
However, one thing my alteration failed to address is that moving in the straps 1 cm is not enough, I need them moved in one full strap width, closer to 2 cm. The angle of the outer cup is still too vertical, so the outer cup still cuts into my underarm area. Despite the cup proportion now being similar to a 60G, the shape of this area is totally different in the 60G, which is angled inward much more steeply, and the straps are moved in further one whole strap width. I requested the straps moved in 1 cm, but they are still set too wide as they were only moved in about .5 cm. Plus, due to the lowered cup height, they are rubbing at a more uncomfortable spot on my body than the original 60H unaltered. I have emailed Joanna photos of this to see if I can request that the outer cup and strap placement be cut like the 60G, while keeping the same wires and cup depth as the 60H. Overall, the fit of this bra is almost there! Everything else in the cup and wires is perfect and measured consistently. Unfortunately, the strap placement is really uncomfortable in this bra. I tried wearing it strapless and halter style, but the problem is the cut of the outer cup just rubbing in the wrong spot, rather than the straps themselves.
The band on this bra is silky stretch knit overlaid with the zebra stretch lace that creates the layered look of this bra. The band on this style is also very firm. It fits, but it definitely feels quite snug. It's a bit longer than the Ingrid, but it feels tighter. The straps are a slightly textured black elastic with picot edges They are convertible, so my bra came with a second set. Note that the elastic loops aren’t that tight, so my straps do slip off rather easily in my drawer, but I’m sure they would be fine when worn. The only trim on this bra is a small square red ribbon bow. Visually, this bra reminds me a bit of the Ewa Michalak M Tango, or the Masquerade Angie I just picked up, though all 3 are totally different cuts.
Arizona is another nice quality bra from Comexim. So far, I have found the cups to be very consistent in all of my Comexim bras, while the bands can run a little tight. My recommendation is to order your normal size and add an extender if necessary, rather than trying to guess the stretch in the band and sister sizing up
Regarding alterations, I would definitely start out finding your normal size by ordering bras in the different cuts with no alterations, then work from there. Many people have said they can't tell if an alteration was done or not on their bra, but I had no problem when I compared my bra's appearance and measurements to standard bras in the same size from my collection. Ideally, I would be able to get the wires and depth of 60H with the cup height and strap placement of 60G in my perfect fit. I am looking forward to refining the fit and ordering more! This bra's measurements have been altered
Reduced cup height 1 cm, straps moved in .5 cm (but requested 1 cm)
For reference, I am projected, FOB, center full, narrow roots, and petite (4'11"). I initially purchased this bra in size 28G (too big) with the intent of returning it after figuring out my Breakout Bras Comexim size. After seeing the beautiful blue, gray, and black feather diamond design, I couldn't help but order it again in size 28FF. I'm a huge sucker for anything blue!
The wires are placed a little too wide, but I expected that from an unaltered Comexim. Besides that, this bra fits me well. The cups seem to be shorter compared to my Ingrid, and it works a lot better for me. The cups are ...nicely projected and give a great shape under clothes. Similar to my other Comexim from Breakout Bras (Andromeda 28FF), the cups are a little small but 28G is for sure too big.
The wings are also 1cm lower than my other Comexims so I have less coverage, but they don't bother my armpits which is more comfortable. The wires are narrow, soft, and don't poke me at all. The band is a true 60cm (53cm unstretched, 63cm stretched) and comfortable around my ribs. The gore tacks perfectly.
This bra and the 28G I ordered previously came with an overlapping gore and 4x2 hooks, so it seems to be the normal design for this specific bra. This is absolutely my new favorite Comexim! Read more 120 more words
I don't understand how such small cup (19cm) fits your breast perimeter (23cm)...
This is such a pretty bra, and it looks great on you. Glad the 28FF worked better than the 28G. I love Comexim bras :)
Glad you found a winner! Your pics show the color as being way more pretty than on the website. Lovely colored. It almost has an Art Deco pattern vibe going on. Love it.
Happy2BraShop I agree, it's way prettier in person! I wasn't planning on getting this bra at first, because I couldn't tell what kind of fabric it was based on the website photos.
Thank you Wilderness1! Comexim has really won a place in my (bra) heart!
I was already eyeing this because I'm also a sucker for blue. Now I want to even more! I cannot wear unaltered Comexim though, so I'm waiting on my order with my next attempted alterations before I get any more lol
Orange_Kate I think because it’s ever so slightly small for her. Cup on one side looks like it might be spilling just a wee bit, and the lower wings also reveal a little more side breast tissue/side boob. It’s not major, and if it’s more comfortable than the size up (which did show gapping on one side iirc), this is probably the better one to go with.
Yes Calluna, you're absolutely right! I didn't notice it before, but the wings are 1cm lower than my other Comexims. I do find it more comfortable though and just like my Andromeda 28FF from Breakout Bras, the cups are a little too small but 28G is too big. I guess I'm just in between sizes for Breakout Bras' Comexims.
Orange_Kate the other thing is Comexim’s foam cups do stretch a bit so you can get away with wearing a bit smaller than your perimeter because it will stretch to accommodate a bit. Something to keep in mind about this kind of padded bra!
How does the shape of the Piume compare to the Basic plunge?
I've always loved the Ginger print, but because I read that the deep plunge is wide and shallow, I ordered it in a 3HC which seems to suit my shape (full-on-top and centre, really narrow, projected). The print isn't as great in person in my opinion, because I was expecting whiter cups than the nude I got (luckily it dines't feel like grandma). But the 3HC shape suits me a lot. The only thing is I asked for a lowered gore for comfort for my SUPER close-set boobs, and it opens up the centre, making my soft tissue spill out, and my nipples are at the edge of ...the cup (lol). It's not tooooo bad though, since the lift is the best I've ever got, and the wires sit on all of my centre, underboob and side IMF SO perfectly, I feel like they came at night to 3D scan my boobs lol. Because of the spillage issue, it sounds like a 60HH would be better, but I'm also afraid that the wires will be too wide. I guess I'll ask for a deeper cup alteration the next time I get a 60H. For reference I wear 28F in UK sizes. Contrary to a lot of reviews, I don't think you have to size up in the band for Comexim. In my opinion the band runs true to size. Read more 121 more words
You could also ask for raised cups along with the lowered gore if the depth at the bottom is ok.
cupandahalf Thank you for your suggestion! The depth felt fine, I just feel like I need more coverage to my boobs don't go everywhere lol. I didn't know raised cups is a thing, so I'll definitely ask for that the next time I order from Comexim!
*Just in case* you're looking to sell this, I'm definitely interested!
immodestmouse This is the only bra I have that fits so maybe not now :( Maybe I will when I have something to replace it. But I have ordered a 65G Mint plunge with the Ginger and I'm intending to sell that.
You ordered an overlapped gore, right? That helps for my close set boobs. I get them with the gore overlapped and stronger wires, and the gore stays in place much better and mostly keeps my boobs separated but also gives me pretty easy cleavage over the course of the day.
(Also Comexim is a bit of a crapshoot in terms of bands... I think the last few bras I've ordered have consistently been more TTS than before, making me start to consider ordering a 65 instead of my usual 70 with them. But other users are just being honest about the bras they've received -- and it does also seem to be different in different size "zones".)
rainbrasspetals I didn't order an overlapped gore, but it was done, although only the highest part of the wire is overlapping because the gore was already low. Do you think stronger wire would cause more discomfort on the ribs? I have a "bony" ribcage so I'm worried they'll be in pain if the wires are stronger. I agree that maybe Comexim are starting to make their bands more TTS, because I ordered another 65G and it was much too big for me.
I've never yet met a bra with wires hard enough to be uncomfortable. I really only noticed that Panache had hard wires when I used to put bras on backwards and upside down, then twist them around and flip them up (Panache made a nasty CRACK sound as it whipped up and slapped my breastbone).
So I'm not a good judge, but I do think that Comexim's stronger wires are still on the soft end.
I think they run out of the original Ginger fabric. Today I reveived my Ginger 3hc and it has the same print as yours. The flowers are bigger and the fabric is more yellowish beige and less white than the original fabric shown in the pictures on the website. Personally I am happy about it, because the color of the new fabric suits my skintone better. I bought this bra to wear under light-colored clothes.
Jetje I was expecting a lot of people using Ginger as a nude bra, so the print change is probably good for them! I've also worn them under white shirts, but the beige is still somehow visible. I just don't want to feel like grandma lol
I understand. This bra isn't suitable for sheer white tops and T-shirts because of the lace. You can only wear those plain nude (in the perfect tone) bras under these tops and T-shirts. Not the prettiest bras, but we do need one ;-) This isn't my favorite Comexim bra, but I do think it is a pretty bra compared to a lot of other lacy nude bras. Also the fit is great.
I think this is a pretty good fit. The cups are probably a bit taller than I need, but I like that they taper at the top so I don't get gaping, which I often do because my breasts are very full on bottom and empty on top. I have to hunch a lot to get even a small amount of gaping, and only on my small side. I could probably use slightly narrower cups with a bit more immediate projection. I feel the effect I get is slightly spread out and flattened as compared to my Cleo Jolie or Breeze. The tassel is kind of cute and the golden piping is very pretty. The padding is a super thin foam and the fabric is not particularly soft, but not scratchy either. I wish it had cookie holders like the Ewas to correct for asymmetry.
I really like the taupe and black, but I've been reluctant to order it because I thought the tassel would tickle. Does it bother you? Guess I could just ask if he omitted ;-) Classy bra!
Nope, couldn't feel it at all. The bra does have a classy look. I am probably going to return it though, as the fit is OK, but not quite right.
"Forest Queen"--yes! So beautiful!!!
