    Fits

Am I the first to review the half cup cut? When these two bras were releasead, I loved the colors and aesthetics of Sonia better than Victoria. But now having tried both, I like the fit of Victoria better. It's a better technical fit. It helps it's my correct size lol. I thought it was a single seam half cup (Anna even said so) but mine has 2 seams. Maybe mine is mutant, but I don't care, it fits great.

      It's beautiful on you!
I have to reorder this, your review and pics decided me.

    • 1

Do it! I'd say do it as a half cup. It fits me so similar to the EM CH/P half cups, I think it would work for you like that.

    • Yes, half cup for sure. The eyelash lace lays so much nicer.

    • 2

Great, now I want this bra, too, you Bra Enabler! I'm not big on eyelash lace in particular, so I was going to skip this one...

    • 3

Me, a bra enabler? That's valentine556 's job hahaha. But I'm not telling you not to get it!

    • 1

It looks amazing on you and such a perfect fit!

    • Thanks!!

    • 1

I went for it! I hope it fits me as well as it does you!!

    • Yay!! I can't wait to see!

    • 1

Love it and its a great fit on you!

      Did someone say bra enabler?

      Sorry I'm late. ;)

  2. This bra was...a gamble, but it's also a testament to this site and how awesome it can be once you have added some bras and figured out what measurements and such work, what you like, and what you need. Let me explain....

This is my first Comexim bra. I've never had one or tried one or anything, but I learned from a friend with a very similar size and shape that the sizes in Comexim that I should be looking at are 65H or 70G. And well...well, this bra is a 60HH. So it is a sister size, but a smaller band than I'd normally consider. Sometimes I like ... to browse the listings and not filter anything in a particular brand...I just see everything available and then maybe click on nearby sizes if something appeals to me and I look at the measurements. This is how I came across this particular bra. Normally, I look at the measurements and realize that nope, not going to work (and give a small cry). This one though, this beautiful bra, said that it had a stretched measurement of 30" so I was immediately intrigued and interested! I'd seen this bra on my friend's blog previously and had fallen pretty hard for it then. I figured that as it had a user before this seller, the band must have just stretched out, but thought to ask the seller to confirm that (which she did...she gave more detailed stretched band measurements). Even if the band didn't really stretch to 30" I figured I would be ok if it got to 29", and if it was less, then I would be ok using an extender. The rest of the measurements looked right, based on the bras that I have added and measured. So it was a gamble, but at least an educated one. I bought it with all of my fingers crossed.

Now, my boobs tend to have shortish (possibly taller but deflated, so still functionally short) and narrowish roots (looks wider unsupported than they really are) with soft and malleable tissue that's pendulous. I am even to FOB and center full. I need depth at the wire but not necessarily at the apex.

First, I have to thank the seller for wrapping the bra in neon polka dot tissue paper and stuffing some into the cup for transit. Nice touch there.

Secondly, this bra is so beautiful. The navy blue lace is rich, and the C charm at the gore has a little sparkle gem in it. It's very royal and regal looking; the eyelash lace adds an additional feminine touch and adds to the details that make this beauty. It is definitely a bit worn in sections and it does not seem to be as flat against my skin as it should be (it curls up some). The shimmery beige bows at the straps and gore tie beautifly into the creamy beige lining under the lace. There is just something very pure about that beige lining...that particular shade is well chosen, I think. It almost disappears on my pale skin. If I was to do a photo shoot with this bra, I'd naturally have the matching knickers, and in true Big Cup Little Cup fashion, I'd have accessories...I think that I would have a tiara (either on my head or simply in shot) while drinking some tea from some lovely (read: fancy) china. Ha ha!

The fit is pretty fantastic. I do feel like it is slightly more minimizing than some of my other bras, but I'm ok with that. It's not serious compression or anything. I will also say that I do find that the band is a little bit tight...it's borderline. I did not get a 30" stretched measurement; I got 28.75" which is close to my snug under bust measurement (and more like a loose 28 whereas it was a tight 28 originally). I prefer 29-30" stretched bands and this is slightly less than that. That said, given that it is used, it is more relaxed and still feels mostly ok. It turns out that the bra is actually my friend's old bra (!)....the one from the blog post I mentioned above. It just had a brief user in between. Anyway, I wore it to work the day after I had gotten it (I had tested it for an hour or so when I first got it) and running errands all day a few days later. I was fine both days. I did explore the extender option, but I think that it's going to be ok without it, and if it is just a bit too tight after work, I'll take it off and maybe put a looser one on. Or have nothing.

Anyway, I think my pictures are evidence enough that I can stand to have a few more Comexim 3HCs in my life. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> My pics are split, btw...I took some immediately when I opened it up immediately after work, but after work was 8pm, and I was loosing my natural lighting fast, so I took a few pics in my bathroom under the heat lamp which is a lovely, bright, and warm light. Details are much clearer under the brighter lights. I shared both groups for perspective of the colour. Thanks for reading! Hope that you love this as much as I do.

Oh, I think it looks fantastic! Does the eyelash lace tickle at all? I always wonder if those lacy touches at the tops of cups are bothersome or not; I've never tried any like that, personally.
It's so awesome to see that Bratabase helped you find such an awesome bra! Congrats!

    • 3

I love the story behind the bra as well as your wonderful review of the bra itself. Great job putting it into words! :-)

    • 2

I love my Comexim half cups... they fit better than any other bras on me. I do agree that they are slightly minimizing, but they still offer a nice rounded look, so it's all good. This one looks great on you. I do agree that the band looks slightly too tight, but if it's comfortable, then that's good. Glad you found a new well-fitting bra!

    • 2

Oh man...no more 3am reviews! Soooo many typos. Lol! I'll have to go back to fix them.

mandapandarawks no, I don't find the eyelash lace itchy or ticklish. The threads seem to be ok. And yes, I'm grateful for the site and all the things that I have learned here and other places online. This bra wouldn't be on me today without it.

MamaPagan thanks! I hope my story will be able to help out others that are also newish to all of this like I am. I'm glad that you like this review.

Wilderness1 yes, slightly it's minimizing, but still nicely rounded. Our shapes are similar, so it's nice to see that my assessment is pretty good. There are a few half cups in the listings right now, including this one in a 65H which might be slightly better in the band, and one I reallly want, but I have to figure out how to pay for it (and all the ones that I want right now). Lol

    Didn't fit

I was hoping the third time would be the charm, but I was wrong https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> I ordered this custom Victoria with the following alterations: 3HC instead of 2HC; overlapping gore; 3x4 hook closure; straps moved in 2cm; cookie pockets; no eyelash lace. Sadly, the 3HC cut from Comexim is a shape mismatch for me. The 70HH had the right volume at the apex, but the band was too loose and the wires were at least 1/2 inch too wide. Sigh. This was the third Victoria I ordered from Comexim. There's a full review on my blog comparing my fit problems with all 3.

I absolutely love the look of this bra, but the 3HC cut is simply too wide and shallow for me. This was my third attempt at a 3HC Victoria and my last 3HC. It's a lost cause. I've written a comparison review of this and 2 other Victorias (70HH and 65HH) on my blog.

Very sexy and beautiful bra. The eyelash lace doesn't lay flat, but rather flutters (see what I did there?) over the breast. This is the closest fit I've had and I want to keep this so bad, but the cup edge shows under shirts and it gives me a backache the second I put it on.

Comexim 3HC bras have all the immediate projection they are hyped to have. The wires actually stay in my IMF, I didn't think that was possible! The gore doesn't tack, it's too high. I think that's why the cup edge is gaping once my breasts settle. They bubble up and the ribbon ... cuts in after a fresh scoop and swoop and when I push the gore down. I don't think it's enough to need a bigger size. I think maybe it's just not projected enough at the top or gore.

I've got a weird issue with the straps. The left keeps falling off. The angle they are pulling at flattens my breasts as it comes up and it puckers up into this 3D triangular strap gap. I end up with trapezoid boobs.

The band is tapered. I found the top of the band loose under the arms and kept tightening it. I got it to the 3rd hook (there are 4 rows on this) before my back fat caused too much rolling on the bottom edge.

    Fits

Comexim really went above and beyond on this bra! When I sent customer service pictures of the first bra they sent (http://bra.pe/XTnX/) they remade the bra and also adjusted my cup size after seeing it was a bit large in my original photos. I waited about a month but it was certainly worth it and a relief when it arrived as we went back and forth a few times on measurements. It fits how it should now and I am pleased! They asked that I keep the other bra as well so that was great that I did not have to mail it back.

As for the bra I love it! The detailing is gorgeous and the eyelash lace is so pretty! The only quibble is I get a bit of jiggle when walking but given the bra is made of thinner foam it does make sense.

Overall a happy customer and I managed to finally find my elusive size and cup (3HC) that fits best!

    • Love it! How does the fit compare to your Wellfitting longline Demi? Is it the same cut (besides the longline part)? It looks like Wellfitting fits smaller in the cups.

    • cupandahalf They are quite comparable in the cup actually and the Wellfitting would be slightly smaller which is counterintuitive as the band is a 95 not a 100 and the cup is one size above the sister size which adds to the confusion. At Wellfitting my perfect size would be a 100H.

    • 2

Ooh thanks so much. Wellfitting doesn't make 3HC in my size so I'm hoping I can get Comexim to make me one and try it out.

    • 1

I don't see why not cupandahalf ! The 3HC fits my shape way better than their regular cup. Send them photos of yourself in other bras as that really helped them to nail my sizing. I do get a bit of jiggle in their bras but the foam is a lot thinner than EM for example. The gore finally tacked on the right size too!

For some reason, the band on my Victoria seems to run extra tight. It's a 65/30 and it stretches to barely 26". I haven't had any feedback from Anna about this yet. The cup is also too small for me, especially on the larger side. It's beautiful and I think it will fit well in the right size. It's a great quality bra and just what I've been looking for, so I hope a 65J with a band that runs true to size will be an easy fix.

Since I wasn't sure where to put this info, here's a quick summary of the alterations it came with:

    *3HC instead of 2HC
*Straps moved in 2cm (can't verify, but I think this was done)
    *Eyelash lace removed from cup
    *Overlapping gore (wasn't requested)
    *4 rows of 3 hooks (wasn't requested)

This is beautiful! I love it without the eyelash lace--that was what deterred me from ordering this model, as I thought it may be irritating on my skin. I also love the navy with the cream bows :). Hope you can get one that fits!

    • My recent order from Comexim also had very tight bands. I haven't had a chance to measure yet but I suspect they don't stretch close to 30. I ordered a 70 band previously and based on how it fit I went back to 65 bands for this order.

    • 1

klilly3 I thought the eyelash lace would be irritating, too (I apparently have sensory issues, lol). It's really soft and weightless, though. I didn't have any problem with the lace on the wings even though I thought for sure I'd feel it on my arms. I prefer the look without the lace on top by far.

@amandafire Ugh, I'm so confused on band sizes. :(

    • This is surprisingly gorgeous without the eyelash lace! :) Never would've thought of that. I've been looking at Victoria but I never actually realized that this one also has the ribbon at the top edge making it closed off. This means that I'd probably need to size up if I end up ordering one. So thanks for the review! :)

That band is super weird indeed! These inconsistencies make bra shopping a bit difficult. :/ Hopefully your replacement will work better!

    • The ribbon across the top of the cup: beautiful!!!

    • 2

I'm not a fan of eyelash lace either, and it would never have occurred to me to ask to have it removed. It's lovely to know the customer service extends to this kind of customisation.

    • The band was really small in the beauty I got too. I ordered a 60 bc it was my sister size and in stock. It only stretches to a max 25. I need my bands between 23-25 inches thankfully, but I'd be mad if I was a 28 instead of a 24/26 band

Take 2 attempt on Comexim Half cup. Doesnt fit.

It was still too big in the cup, and either too tall or too open. I took 2 triangle sections out making it a 3HC instead of 2HC, and it fits much better. It's now wearable though a little minimizing from the side profile. But it's so pretty I just want to wear it!

So technically, the cups are too shallow on this bra for me, but it's soooo gorgeous that I am happy to keep it as a bedroom bra. This is another one that does not fit on swoop and scoop, but is so beautiful that I'll let that slide given that my boobs settle pretty readily anyway and it's likely something I'd only wear for short periods. The eyelash lace, I can't even. I coveted it for so long so it fits just okay enough that I'm hanging on to it for now.
