A bra that gives me an ugly pointy shape. Underwire is so short that my breasts escape to the armpits. I wish the cups were 2 inches taller. Multyway gives me doubleboob. I regret I kept it.

The first Desire I got: did not fit. The band is way too big and the gore does not tack.
Pros: the colour to kill for
Cons: construction - I thought I needed this bra in a sister size 30FF, but boy was I wrong.

The Curvy Kate Elegance (CK1401) fits me, so this one should too, right?
NOPE. The band is really really tight, as tight as in the Cleo Melissa (6991) and in th Curvy Kate Roxie Padded Plunge Bra (SG2311) .
Pros: pretty design, the little macrame pendant on the gore
Cons: Extremely tight band and cups that are not true to size, in my opinion this has measurements of a 28GG.

This bra runs one cup size small. I usually wear a 28DD but in this bra I wear a 28E. It has a low gore, which is good for people who have very little body fat. The cups are spaced far apart. It is very shallow at the edges of the cup but has decent projection in the center of the cup.
In short, this is a good bra for people who are shallow, have broad roots, have far apart spaced breasts and are conical.

I have seen many poor reviews for this bra, but I have to disagree. This is an inexpensive, well made, and versatile bra. In fact, I own three of them!

It totally fits!! I've been really struggling to find a bra that fit my tall roots, and that gave more lift than the unlined bras I tried in the past. This gives such a nice lifted shape (unusual, considering my boobs seem a little higher set on my chest than others). Also, the wires stay in place, right where they are supposed to be. I'm smitten, as the band is the optimal amount of stretchyness (though my love for this might be because of the 3 hook closure than anything else). Finally, there is no gapping at the top.
It gives a bit of a pointier shape, which is the only slight negative I see with this bra. I really don't mind though, because it isn't too extreme!

I like the feel of this bra. It is the first of my smaller band/bigger cup bras that I feel has actually given close to enough support/lift. If it wasn't for the central spillage/quadboob (which I have to admit is considerable) the shape would be pretty good, too. It is comfortable. I have considerable soft tissue across in front of my arm and this bra doesn't seem to cut in there as much as the other bras. I haven't tried it as cross-back or halter yet, but I'll try to remember to take some photos when I do. The top edge of the cups seems to roll outward ... - I'm pretty sure other people have noted this, too. To me, it seems as though the manufacturer has forgotten that the outer layer of fabric has to be just a little bit bigger than the foam or lining b/c it goes over a slightly bigger surface, and it is therefore pulling that top free edge outward. I could be wrong, though - maybe it is deliberately shaped that way, perhaps trying to avoid quadboob? If that was the aim, it hasn't worked for me! Ultimately, I think one cup size bigger would be right for me ... Or maybe two - I don't know! Definitely the overall best shape yet for my boobs, though.
For reference, I think my boobs are shallow, close-set, and have a wide root, with central fullness as well as being generally FOB. I have a narrow back and shoulders with a rib cage that is more round than oval and I have plenty of squishable soft-tissue overlying my rib cage.

Hee hee! It had occurred to me, too, that 2 cup sizes might be underestimating it a bit ; )
I'd order a size up in both cup and band. Also the fabric is prone to wrikling, but not because of fit. I wish the band was thicker, not sure if it can really be worn strapless because of that and the shape of the cups.

TERRIBLE!! made my boobs look weirdly lumpy. i think due to the seams running through the bra it was tighter in some panels than others and was just weird. i thought curvykate bras were good ones but this being the first that i tried, I'm not sure if i i will try more or not. the wire was also poking into my side which was irratating. hoping to return this bra and most likely not buy any more curvy kate bras https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />

Gotta say the Desire is the absolute worst Curvy Kate bra there is. I wouldn't let it put you off them as a brand - perhaps check out more reviews before ordering next time, as Desire seems to be pretty awful on everyone. Smoothie is a much better t-shirt bra, one of the best I've ever tried.
I have to agree. I tried this one recently because brastop had it for 10.95. i can say it doesn't compare to anything else CK makes! it gave me all types of weird lumps and bumps too. Their Curvy Kate Roxie Padded Plunge Bra (SG2311) is a MUCH better example of what they do as a brand and a great plunge if you're looking for one!!
...the Desire is the only CK that fits me, lol :/
I really love this bra! This is like my third or fourth one... however! My shape has changed enough that it doesn't work for me anymore https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
I have been gaining boobage and general weight so I figured a 30 band would be good since my 28F can get tight. Turns out I'm still a 28 in this bra (although some days I need one extra hook from an extender) and the cups are too small as well as too closed towards the center. I'm gaining some center fullness!!
This bra is still tight for a 30 band bra though, so it would be great for a in-betweener or someone who doesn't need a band to be exactly a 28 band.
