I tried this bra in a 32K 32JJ and 34JJ and they all did not fit well at all. It was a comfy pretty bra but the wire was WAY too wide and I did not feel supported in the bra at all.

This is the deepest bra that I've ever owned, and doesn't wrinkle on the bottom like any of the others that I've tried. The stretch lace on the top is a little loose on me because of my semi-conical shape, but it's not an issue underneath a shirt.

I went up a cup size (and down a band) because the 32F seemed to have a lot of promise for my deep/narrow/center-full shape (especially for a Curvy Kate), but this 30G seems hardly any deeper.

B+ fit. Gore almost tacks. Quadboob - could work in a larger cup size.

See review of 38HH - Curvy Kate » Ellace Balcony Bra (CK4401). I sized up due to cup size growth over the past couple of months.

This bra fails on several levels for me. First, the wires are super flexible and distort easily. The gore is nicely narrow, which is good for my close-set breasts. But somehow, even though the gore isn't really that tall, it twists so one side lays flat and the other is floating.
However, the bottom of the cup fits very well and gives a decent rounded shape. And at the same time the top of the cup both gaps and quads on me! Very strange! It seems to have too much height in the lace and the narrow elastic along the edge is too strong relative to the ... stretch of the lace.
The band is also tight on me and the strong, 3/4" wide elastic on the bottom edge causes quite a bit of back and underarm bulge. After wearing for a couple of hours it became painfully obvious the bottom band was also curling inwards below my IMF. With my short torso, that was very painful! So I handstitched the band under, along the front edge only, changing it from a full band to a partial band. That helped comfort wise. But with the issue of the lace top, quite honestly, I'm not motivated to spend more time on any more modifications.
Sorry Curvy Kate Ellace...You're not for me!

Me: Narrow roots, narrow shoulders, evenly round, lots of immediate projection, very soft tissue, slightly FoB, slightly centre full, splayed, never met a gore I didn't like, left-heavey by more than a cup size, 31" underbust, but prefer tight band with extender. Panache, Freya size 30GG
Ok, so I love the super thick full frame band! The stretch lace on top is helpful as well, but almost covers too much of the cup and thus in cup quads just a touch. Bottom of the cup is very soft lined mesh. Scalloped, fully adjustable straps, set too wide, of course, but better than Bardot, ... Portia, and Florence. Flirtelle straps are narrower set.
Ellace has more immediate projection - about the same as Portia and Bardot, but more than Florence and way more than Dreamcatcher. Immediate projection is about the same as Flirtelle Ellie and slightly more than Flirtelle Rosie and Giselle. Accommodates centre fullness better than Florence because of stretch lace and way better than ribboned Portia, but not quite as much as the shallower Dreamcatcher. Flirtelle Rosie is the worst for centre fullness and Giselle is like CK Florence. For centre fullness, Flirtelle Ellie and CK Bardot are best overall without stetch lace.
Ellace feels more like my Flirtelles and CK Bardot than other CKs with much taller wings and a slightly taller and narrower centre gore. Size and cup depth are pretty uniform across all the CK and Flirtelles I have tried. Florence is surprisingly wider by a whole cm and as I have mentioned, and Dreamcatcher is shallower.
The differences in this update of CK Bardot is primarily in that it feels lest utiliarian in its construction - the elastic under the arms between the strap attchment and the edge of the wire is way toned down and actually curves not cuts, and the mesh is softer and lined. The band thickness is new and nice and the outside frames are lace not poly-satin and a little more practical, the wing is a touch taller, and the straps a touch narrower set. The band of Ellace is a bit bigger and looser - enough that I don't need the extender - but I don't think it will stretch out as much as it is thicker to begin with.

This bra was too small for me. I have reviewed it in the 28F.

My shape (still figuring it out a bit): Average root width, tall roots, projected, even fullness, very soft breast tissue.
This bra is very nearly perfect. The wire width is good, the projection is good, the band is good. It is very comfortable to wear, and very pretty with a touch of sexiness. Shape-wise it is not quite there for me - while it is very accommodating to tall roots (its stretch lace top is forgiving and soft) the cups themselves are not quite firm enough to combat my softness. I need them to more firmly push my tissue upwards, so the lace top section has something to grip ... to. As it is, the lace folds down a little where my tall roots push it away. I also do not quite find the cups sturdy enough to hold me fully in place - this would not be a problem for firm breasts, or even mildly soft ones, but for my ultra-soft breasts it means I need to swoop and scoop a couple of times a day. It also means I don't get the round shape I want (though tall roots plus soft breasts mean that shape is v. difficult for me to achieve in an unlined bra).
With all that having been said, because I am like a child and this bra is that perfect combo of pretty plus sexy, I am keeping it. The fit issues are more aesthetic than anything else and I do love the look of the whole thing.

I have grown slightly out of the 28D - Curvy Kate » Ellace Balcony Bra (CK4401) so I tried the Ellace one cup size larger, and also the 28DD - Curvy Kate » Jewel Balcony Bra (CK3401) , which is said to be a similar cut as the Ellace.
The 28DD Jewel fits great, but the 28DD Ellace does not work well. The cup is too tall, cup height is about 5.2" or 13.2cm, which is a great increase from the 28D Ellace (4.4" or 11cm) and also a lot taller than the 28DD Jewel (4.5" or 11.5cm). Why would the cup height increase ... almost 1" in the next size up? Ellace is known for being good for short roots, but this cup height appearently does not work for short-rooted people in my size.
I wonder whether it is because of production inconsistency. Is Curvy Kate sometimes inconsistent in their bras? Did they just change the cut of Ellace? Should I exchange it for another one in the same size to see it the cup gets shorter, or should I skip Ellace and go for the sister cuts like Curvy Kate Madagascar Balcony Bra (CK3701) or Curvy Kate Bardot Balcony Bra (SG3101) to see if they fit? The sister cuts are pretty difficult to find though.

Just checked my photos: Florence is shorter than Madagascar and Bardot, too. So, for shortest cup, Florence may be a good choice.
Love4Pollinators Thank you very much! I will look into your suggestions. Florence looks so nice, I wish it comes in 28 band.
Usually black fabrics are smaller, but there was not a difference between Black Florence and Blush Florence. Purple and turquoise were dimensionally the same, too. I had hoped a black Florence would provide a slightly smaller band. Nope.
While I"ve never found a CK i could wear, I LOVED Panache Floris when I was a 32J. But when I gained and became a 32JJ, it doesnt fit nearly as well - too wide, poking me in the arms. Still good projection, but it didnt grow exactly the same way I did.
In the 40-ish Curvy Kate's I've tried, they have been the most consistent dimensionally. Although I have not tried Jewel, Ellace is taller, more accommodating of taller roots than Bardot, Madagascar, and Florence. Florence and Ellace are the most similar, but Florence is a bit shorter. Please know I'm speaking from the 30FF/G size of the range. It is entirely possible your sizes are built differently. Best of luck!
