My regular size in Curvy Kate's soft bras is usually 28GG, but I feel like I would've needed a 28H in this one. It seems to run very tight over my boobs and can in some situations give me the quadboob effect. I did remove the band to make it less obvious, because I felt it ran tighter than the cup fabric itself. The shoulder bands aren't fully adjustable and they seem to be a bit too wide set for my body. The band also runs a bit tighter than your usual 28-band.
I think this bra material is extremely comfortable but it has its proportions severely wrong! The cups are so very wide that they wrap around almost to my back. The center gore is also so very wide - I swear the inner underwires were on breast tissue. However, since this is my only "28G" bra, it's the only one I have with 3 hooks and it's nice! Not sure if I prefer it over 2 hooks, but I am very happy happy to have a 3-hook bra in my collection for certain days..
My regular size is a 28F and I am fairly certain that ...the 28G cups may be a bit too small for me. Not enough that there is grotesque quadboob, but let's just say I wouldn't wear this when I am PMS-ing.
I altered the center gore probably an inch to bring the cups as close as possible, but still, the cups extend so far back. I like it better now and I'm keeping it for looks and comfort. Surprisingly, it makes a good T-shirt bra also! Read more 77 more words
I was surprised and saddened by how this fit. I can fit in both a 38H or 38HH in all the CK bras I've tried so far. Well, the cups on the Gia were way too big. I'm going to send this back as opposed to exchanging it because I'm not sure what size I would need to get.
It's a lovely bra though. The band was snug, the color and lace trim are pretty. Personally I'm not a fan of the little dangling gem in the center. The bra was comfy, too.
The cups gaped along the top on both sides. The support wasn't great since I didn't fill out the cup completely.
Unfortunately this doesn't fit well. The band is too big and the cups a tad too small and need adjesting throughout the day. Also gives an east-west look. I REALLY wished the Curvy kate bras were true to cup size because i love the look of them!
There is a little space between the wire and breastbone, but not much. Lace on top of bra makes it difficult to wear under many tops. It gives a round breast shape: my breasts look like two little pillows nestled in it! Sexy. I should have sized up, but it isn't made in HH. At the time I bought it I thought I needed a 34GG (I thought I'd lost a band size, not lost a band size and gained cup volume) so I believed I was sizing up.
The picture (on a wooden table) is not very true to color. It is ...a very bright purple.
Note: I am writing this review in January, 2013, several months after the bra was purchased. I have given my initial review and fitting comments based on my notes about the fit of the bra near the time of purchase. Below are my comments on the current state of the bra:
This bra is now two cup sizes too small, so sadly I can no longer wear it. I did not notice any band stretching, but I've only worn it about 20 times. Read more 89 more words

It's gorgeous! But not really the right shape for my breasts. The cups are too shallow and wires are too wide. It does create some cleavage, though it doesn't compare to my Deco bra. My nipples are very close to the edge of the bra and so if I move about too much they start to slip out! Definitely NOT a bra for going out dancing. But I wouldn't want to size up because the wires would be far too wide.
My breasts are rather firm and most of their weight is on the bottom and middle, so I need a lot more space in the bottom of the cups. This bra would definitely be better suited for someone with top-heavy breasts.
As per usual for me, the band is far too big. It was on the tightest hooks straight away and keeps on riding up at the back.
I'm going to keep it because it is so pretty and the undies are really sexy as well. But it will not be one I reach for very often.
The first bra I ever ordered online. It isn't particularly supportive, since it's really little more than a thin veil-like material. In terms of the fit it really isn't great for me, but I feel this might be due to not truly knowing my bra size or the qualities of my breasts as they relate to fittings. I find the top halves are rather wrinkly and god forbid I should slouch, the underwire digs into my rib cage and the back feels tight. But again, this could be a commonality among bras that I haven't familiarized myself with yet.
The quality is pretty good especially considering the thinness of the material and I feel it will last a long time. Aesthetically it's beautiful. I own it in ivory/teal and the colours are sharp and rich, the pattern of lace is also classy, delicate and womanly.
Oh! And your nips will be completely visible through this, so it's not great for changing at the gym, haha.
I would consider this a SUPER stretchy bra. Stretchy straps, stretchy band, etc. Which makes it very comfortable and ADORABLE! The quality was "meh" (odd sew lines along the band and I had to pull out some thread that came loose).
Lilly4439 How smooth/bumpy is this under tight knits? Thank you for sharing.
The color wasn't as noticeable so much as the fabric texture through sheer/tight material. You'd have to wear an undershirt of some kind or just accept the pattern it will make. FoodForest
I tried this bra on in a shop, so I don't have the measurements. It fitted me quite nicely and gave a great shape and cleavage, but the color (not red, but rather a reddish pink) and print (leopard) is just so not me!! Really a pity... if it were more red/bordeaux and without the leopard print, I absolutely would have bought it.
This bra didn't fit me at all. The cups left me with a lot of overspill and the band was too loose, as is always the case for me with Curvy Kate Showgirl bands. I'm not sure how many sizes I would have had to go up but I didn't attempt it as the shape is all wrong for me. The cups are shallow and the seaming didn't create the rounded shape I prefer. The straps are also too wide-set - a common problem with Showgirl if you have narrow shoulders. I wasn't a massive fan of the glitzy thread used in it as I felt the overall look was a bit cheap rather than classy. Not a bra for me.
I have absolutely no idea why this doesn't fit, style and shape wise and stuff. I mean, it's in my size right? I was so excited because I saw the cups were placed closer than my old ones. But oh my god. I don't think it was meant to be (without alterations). The center gore is digging into my sternum! And it still feels as if the wires are too wide, as the marks they leave are still a bit after my breast tissue ending. Painful, painful, painful. And gapping and wrinkling, everywhere. I don't understand, what more do my boobs need to be happy in a bra? ...What is possibly lacking?
This bra might work for you id you are a 26E or true 28DD, but it didn't work on me. I'm guessing it could be because I have a small frame and 28DDs aren't ideally constructed for someone so small as me.
Note: this bra is a hand-me-down. I am very grateful to the person who donated this to me. At least now I know this style won't work.
EDIT:
I have taken in the center gore, and while the awful wrinkling is still there the cups are finally close enough that there is no space on the sides of the cup. Read more 102 more words
This bra was a disaster for me. First off, it was too separate for my boobs. The cups were also waay too wide and nearly wrap around to my back. No quadboob though! I also get quite a bit of wrinkling at the bottom of the cups. The band was nice and firm though. Just not right for me.
Firstly, I have to say I love love love the shape of this bra. It's been a treat wearing a 30 band for the first time! It's very pretty, love the lime detailing.
I think, maybe it's too small? The center gore digs in, and I'm getting some weird marks there. I though maybe the bra just needed to break in a bit, but this is my 4th or 5th wear and it's still kind of painful on my sternum. Everything else about it seems good so far though...
First off, Bratabase says that the Tease Me and Thrill Me have the same cut... which is not 100% true. They are similar, but not identical. See my comparison for more information about both models: http://www.bratabase.com/compare/dhlde/#review-314
I love the look and fit of this bra! It looks cute and is also comfortable to wear all day.
The band is rather stretchy. I can pull it sort of far away from my body. However when I'm not actively pulling it, it stays tight to me and doesn't ride up. If they made a smaller size than 28 I would buy it, as I'm afraid it might stretch out with time.
Horrible for shallow, full-on-bottom breasts like mine. Offers NO support whatsoever even though the band and cup size are correct for me (28DD). Just kind of sat next to my boobs but didn't lift them or even hold them. Not sure if that's just cause it's the wrong cup shape for me or if it's poor bra design. Wrinkling on the top of the cups, lots of room on the upper portion of the cup so I could see this being fine for a full on top kind of breast. Straps were way to wide for me and dig into my armpits painfully, though I am petite so that may be why. The purple detailing is pretty though.
