This was a fit disaster for me. I didn't realize it was so shallow when I bought it, and the tops of the cups are rather large. While the depth in the middle of the cup is perfect for me at 32G/GG, it was too shallow in the bottom and the wire didn't stay in my IMF. The top is too tall for me and gaps horribly, while the sides cut into my armpits. The straps are also WAY too wide. However, the workmanship is nice and it's well constructed. I like the bold colors of purple leopard with bright pink bows.
Update to my review: I ...had to do some altering to make this work for me. I trimmed the outside of the cups where it rubbed my armpits. I also moved the straps in. I figured I had nothing to lose since I couldn't wear it anyway. Now it's one of my most comfortable padded bras. The bottom of the cup is still too shallow so the wire doesn't stay in my IMF but it looks nice and is wearable. Read more 75 more words
This bra's measurements have been altered
I moved the straps in and removed a portion of the cup that rubbed my armpit.
The band is VERY stretchy (see measurements). I mostly wear 34's and would need a 30 in this one. Cups were too small aswell. I would need a 30HH, while wearing mostly 34G's.
Bra is much too small in the cup (at least 2 cups too small), ok in the band, and the shape is wrong for me : bottom of the cup slightly wrinkles while it is too small at the top.
This bra is a little too flimsy for my boobs. There was a slight bit of quad boob on my left side, which I would have been OK with, but after only a few minutes of wear and a little bit of moving around, the quadding got worse. (I did also try this in an H cup, and it was too big, but I still had quadding issues.) It just doesn't seem to give a whole lot of lift for me - my boobs looked a little sad. I think a stiffer fabric on the bottom part of the cup would have helped. Unlike some Curvy Kate ...bras, the band was pretty comfortable. It does not appear to have that killer elastic that drives some people mad and it seems to be true to size. Might be good for less heavy, more supported breasts, but I would not recommend for heavier or more settled breasts. Also, probably not the best choice for FoT boobs. Would be a nice choice for hot weather since it is very light mesh and the blush color works great as a nude for fair skin. Read more 83 more words
I bought this one cup size up from my regular size (because CK fits shallow for size). I got it because I LOVE the fit of my Bardot baby doll. The bra version doesn't fit quite as well but the sizing is still very good. That's the way I get the gore to tack. The lace is embroidered on the mesh upper cup. The mesh is soft but firm. I do not like the mauve accents. The embroidery looks cheap up close and the colour doesn't really do it for me (when paired with black). This is a really useful almost-black balconette. Buy the undies one size up because they fit small...
Same as the Boost: decent bra, but not a great fit. The wires are a little too short for me to feel secure (I have a bit of empty space along the sides as well) and the bottom of the cups don't have enough space for immediate projection; creasing and sagging ensues. That being said, for someone moderately projected and even-to-FOT, this could be a winner.
The band was snug, I think it ran a little small as per usual for a strapless bra. I usually wear a 30 in Curvy Kate, but I definitely needed the 32 on this one. I was advised to size up in the cups because of the dramatic angle of the top of the cup, but I shouldn't have. I think the cups ran true to size, and were the perfect shape like usual for me: shallow on the bottom of the cup, somewhat wide, and gave a good shape. I will be getting it in 32G, and am really hopeful that it will be a perfect fit.
when i first bought this bra it fitted perfectly, nowadays its too small in the cup and a bit too large in the band. i bought one closer to my size but i just dont like it anymore, i dont like the way it makes my boobs look. this used to be the bra i wore when i wanted my boobs to look smallish.
the first time i wore it it felt really tight but that might have been because i wasnt used to wearing proberly fitting bras! but i did buy a 32HH not long ago which i thought wasnt tight at all (actually quite loose)
Nice bright colors in a fun pattern. Unlike most tops from regular department stores, the halterneck doesn't hurt me because of the band doing most of the work. It has an extra mesh layer on the inside (unlike my Panache bikini top), which I'm sure would be great in the water. However, I'm just a very modest person and prefer to have a top that covers my entire breast, this one is a bit too risque for me. I think it could be made to look a bit retro with a magenta or black high-waist bottom.
Frost/boysenberry. Beautiful teal blue color. Interesting dot pattern. Cute purple bow. Narrow wires, firm band. Top edge cuts in on me. Either not enough room for center fullness or wants me to be FOB (I'm full all over)
Ordered this bra with prime shipping on amazon for the sole purpose of nailing down fit to order the yellow one. This one will be going back, and I'll have to find another yellow bra. Poo.
Holy Quadboob! I took a chance on this since I really want to be able to wear my favorite halter dress without a sweater over it. I was fully aware that it might be a little small in the cup or snug in the band or too wide. The wires seem fine, but it's hard to tell with so much boob spilling out.
Band: 3 hooks, yay. But too tight, doesn't make it to 32" without killing it. Size up.
Cup: TINY. At least 1, if not 2 sizes too small. I understand there is supposed to be cleavage (and I like that) but I shouldn't have to tuck ...my nipples back in when they try to escape. Seems shallow but I couldn't pull them up all the way so I'm not positive. Also, the edge of the cup wants to curl outward. I saw this mentioned on a blog review as well, but I can't tell if it's the same issue or if it's just because of the amount of quad in this case.
Gore: Nice and low. 2" in this size. Good for close set breasts, not good for soft climb-out breasts. I am not a fan of the little squiggly decoration and will remove it if I find this bra in a suitable size.
Straps: wide set. Wide themselves as well (just under 1"). Didn't try the multi-way feature since it fit so poorly.
Appearance: Not a fan of white bras that much, but figured I have more light colored dresses that need special bras than dark ones. Read more 150 more words
This is such a cute bra. I really love it's appearance and the style. Unfortunately, the size is all wrong. The wires are much too wide and shallow for me and the band is slightly too big. I really hoped this one would work for me but I'm most likely a 30H.
There are things I love about this bikini and things that I don't love so much. This was my first experience with Curvy Kate, though, and overall, I'm excited to try out more from this brand.
First, this bikini fabric is gorgeous! I know neon is a big trend right now, but it's not for me, and luckily, the rio isn't a great big "look at me!" neon, but a deep, rich blue accented with a beautiful rich purple. It's too rich to be loud and too pretty to be drab. I love it. The fabric feels soft and sturdy, and I love that it's padded to make sure ...nothing shows through and to give extra support. The only downside? This fabric has very little stretch and the band is cut very small. It makes sizing for me difficult. I don't want to size up because I feel like the cups would come out too far and high on the sides, but I can feel the band cutting into me. I'm crossing my fingers that the band will loosen after a wear or two.
The shape of the cups is tricky. I love the cup depth, it just feels so perfect and not squishy. I don't have any gapping or quad-boob, and the sides aren't poking me or wrapping too far underneath my arms. I feel supported. So I think this must be the right size for me, except...it seems that there's way too much fabric in the diagonal between my clavicles and my armpits. I don't have any breast tissue there, so there's nothing for it to support, and all the extra fabric and the plunge shape of the bikini gives it a huge "east/west" look. I'm a perfectionist, and I don't want to spend my vacation hiding my bikini's flaws under a shirt...if I lived in the UK, I'd probably return this, but I live in the US and I'm going on vacation soon, so I'm left wondering if this is something that I can live with.
ETA: This was maybe my fourth purchase of a bra that was somewhat actually near my size. I think it just wasn't the right shape for my tricky postpartum body. But it wore well, it still looks beautiful, and I wasn't afraid of any wardrobe malfunctions. Read more 275 more words
Technically fits, but wires are too wide for my narrow-rooted comfort and cups a bit shallow for my round shape. Otherwise, very pretty on & off, practical, well made bra.
Fits my boobs, but rides up slightly on the back. (30H was way too small though so no idea around this). Cuts into my armpit no matter what length the straps are.
I absolutely love this bra. I ordered it about a month ago in a smaller cup size, and had a big of quad boob goin' on, so I am much happier with the larger cup size. But, the wire runs a bit too big for me. It doesn't really lift my breast like I would want it to.
The band stretched out very quickly. Gives nice shape up top to my otherwise empty up top breasts. very comfortable. Side profile makes breasts look pretty flat, think cups are too shallow.
