Really lovely bra. I love the colourway and styling, very burlesque/boudoir, but it is still comfortable to wear during the day. Having said that, the lace/ribbon does show through thin materials. Everything about this bra is not only pretty, but comfortable. The band is stretchy perhaps a little too stretchy... it can feel like it's not being supportive, but it is. However, where possible, I would size down in the band for the extra support. The cups are a little too open for me so my breasts don't feel super secure, but it is a padded demi balconette, so that's to be expected. It does separate my breasts a bit too much for my liking, but the gore does tack. The wires are probably a little too wide as well. For softly padded bras, I think I prefer the Comexim style as it is a bit more of a plunge.
I put this back on after quite a while not wearing it regularly (due to becoming more FOT and projected - when I bought this I was FOB and shallow). I expected to be horrified, but the fit is actually decent. This is possibly because it was a little big for me when I first bought it and it now accommodates my slightly bigger boobs reasonably well.
The shape I get in the Princess is actually quite nice - a rounded, lowish, teardrop sort of shape. Unlike my slightly-too-small Romances, I never saw any upside-down seven shape in this. It's also very soft ...and comfortable - I used to wear the Princess when my breasts were feeling more tender than usual, because I never seemed to feel sore during the day or when I took it off.
Appearance-wise, I really like the colour combination of the rich, Cadbury-like purple used for the detailing and the soft lilac of the cups. It's feminine without being too twee. Even though in the past my fit in their bras has been less than stellar, I've always loved the colour combinations Curvy Kate chooses for their bras. (This is in contrast to Cleo, which seems to work much better for my shape nowadays in general - but quite often, their colours and patterns are less than appealing to me.)
I'll be honest and say that I'm not wild about the look of this bra under fitted shirts. The raised polkadots are very visible, and the low, minimised, rounded shape works better (for me anyway) when trying to wear looser, flowy tops rather than anything very tight. I'd also love it if this bra provided a bit more lift and kept my boobs a little more front-and-centre - although the Princess isn't anywhere near as bad on this count as, say, my Panache Tango II or Evie strapless is.
Overall, I feel like the Princess is a solid construction for Curvy Kate and I can see why it, and Portia, are the only two of their older unpadded styles to have stayed in their current collections. Read more 256 more words
I love this bra. It is my current favorite. I bought another and will probably get more in the future. My only complaint is that the under wire on it came out after about nine months, but that was a quick fix.
I tried this bra on because I really wanted a smooth cup but it was a little too small. Band fit nicely. If it was a size or two larger I would've bought it because it's the only molded cup (except for my Capella) that fit the way a bra is supposed to.
I keep trying to fool myself into thinking the Showgirl bras will fit. They're just too fun and pretty to pass up. I had serious quad boob in this bra, probably because the cups run small and I chose to ignore that when ordering (32/34 doesn't come in a J+ as far as I know) Had it fit, the lace trim and thick seams would have been very visible under most everyday clothing. Would I care? Nope. It's not an everyday bra, it's a sexy-feel good-awesome cleavage bra.
I was excited to get this bra hoping for a similar fit of the Tease Me but in a size that fits. I heard that they improved the cups and to order my regular bra size. The bra is very pretty and sexy looking. It's a black mesh overlay with nude cups. The straps are pretty wide set so I as not happy about that. It kinda feels like my arms will get sawed off. The cups seem to wide and shallow for me. I get that emptiness at the bottom of the cups. Also the gore does not tack and I get gaping of the cups. They sit away from my breasts. If I push the gore to my sternum, I get quadboob. I'm wondering if size up if that'll help? The bra does seem comfortable like the Tease Me if I'm able to move the straps in.
So I bought this bra because I gained weight and the previous CK bra I tried was too small in the cups (so I went up one cup). At first I thought that the cups were wayyy too big for me but then I learned the benefits of the "scooping" gesture ^^
The bra is good quality but it didn't fit me: the straps were too far apart for my narrow shoulders and felt uncomfortable, at the limit of hurting my back. The fact that it's moulded makes the difference between my 2 breasts obvious and inelegant in my opinion. My right boob (the smallest one) can't fill all the ...cup too. Both have gaping on the top exterior part of the bra, and the strap doesn't lay flat all the way on the left shoulder.
The center gore doesn't lay flat on either first nor second row of hooks and it was the same problem with the other non-padded CK bra I've tried so I think I may have to go down a band size in this brand. I noted that the band wasn't straight from front to the back but I know it is because I didn't adjust the left strap the right way (this shoulder supports a bigger boob and is higher than the other in consequence)
I appreciate CK giving us 3 rows of hooks.
This bra doesn't give me the fully rounded bra shape I like (it's visible on the top view) but it lifts the boobs ok and is not noticeable under the clothes. I prefer to have more coverage near the center gore too because otherwise my breasts are almost spilling.
I'm sending it back and I think I will avoid moulded bras from now on. I think it is a great everyday bra for those whose shape suits them, though.
I like the color and the design of this bra. The band fits, although it rides up A LITTLE. The cup is too large for me. I should have chosen a smaller cup, probably an FF, G or GG. It really gives lift amd support. One thing that I don't like about this bra is its visibility under clothes.
First of all, I love the look of this bra. The bows, the stripes, the black and gold color scheme . . . I was in love. It's gorgeous. I also love the way this bra makes my boobs look - hourglass-from-the-front with some really nice "cakes-on-a-plate" cleavage. The band is quite stretchy, and I typically wore it on the tightest or second-tightest hook. However, this bra proved to be quite uncomfortable for me! I can't wear it for more than an hour because it stabs me in the armpits. The central gore also does not lie flat. This bra would be great for someone with wider roots/a longer torso than I.
I really need to give up on Curvy Kate. This color of this bra is absolutely gorgeous. I have the Petrol version. The inside of the cups is a deep purple. That's where the pros end. It doesn't tack at all. The cups are too shallow but that was no big surprise because I know this about CK. I'm between a 32/34 band and the 32 was good. I find CK bands very stretchy. In comparison to the Smoothie, they seemed to have fixed the problem of the top of the cup flipping out. The top of the cup on the Starlet has some sort of binding to help prevent it from rolling out.
Beautiful bra! I so wanted it to fit. This bra was purchased based off my last fitting and size. A fitting this week puts me inthe 30KK/32K range. So this bra was quite a bit small in the cups.

The Smoothie is a beautiful, well made bra. The rhinestone tear drop at the Gore is a cute embellishment.
The straps were set to wide for my narrow frame and shoulders. ... The straps are fully adjustable.
The top of the cup where attached to the strap was almost under my arm. The cup did cut into my armpits. Very uncomfortable.
Cups were to shallow. Bottom of my breast would not fit into it.
Wires were too wide for my ribcage. Painful. They were not to high under the arm.
The band fit well. I could get 2 fingers under it. It was not strong enough too support the weight of my breast. Nor did it keep the migrated tissue in the cup. It kept riding down . I did try it on with cups to my back. Tight but still comfortable.
I believe even in the correct size this bra would not work for me. I need a more narrow cup with more projection.
I wanted so much to love this bra. The color is a rich, dark teal, which sets off the blush ribbon nicely.
The band is just right for a 32, and the 3-hook closure is my preference.
The wires are wide enough, which is generally: 1) unheard of for me; 2) incredibly promising. Unfortunately, that is the highlight of my experience with the cup. I initially experienced some gaping in the top of the cup, so I thought it was too big. But no. I soon discovered the top of the cup sliding down because the cup is too shallow there. And no matter how I adjust the straps, I feel like I'm getting zero lift from the bottom of the cup.
Overall, while nothing is painful, I'm not getting the support I need from the bra, nor am I getting any kind of shaping. I may look to try this (or a similar cut) in a 32J -- but it may also be a fundamental shape incompatibility.
I ordered this bra because I really needed a black bra that I could wear under anything, but it didn't work out. I measure 33 inches underbust and ordered this in a 32 band size, which nice and snug. The cups were very problematic. They were slightly too small, but the major problem was that the cups seemed to pull my breasts out to the side and slightly down. Not good. At all. This went back very quickly.
The wires feel almost too narrow for me, although really I think they're just on the edge of being too narrow. They're stiffer than some of the other Curvy Kate bras I've tried, which is nice.
The real issue with this bra is the lack of depth in the cup, It is way too shallow for me -- I can't fill out the bottom, and quad boob out the top. Also, the apex is in the wrong spot so I somehow get an east-west look. It's beautifully round from the side (save the quad boob) but from the front and under ...clothes it's terrible.
I ordered up a size from my usual cup size and down to a 32 since I knew it was a stretchy band, and the cup was STILL a cup size too small. So I'd say this runs at least 2 cup sizes too small.
It's not as open of a cup as some of the other Showgirl bras (like the Fleurty or Thrill Me), as it does curve in some at the top. I think this would be a good option for people who get a bit too much gapping at the top of those bras, if they can get their size right. I think the shape would be good for me if it were a deeper cup as from the side it's not absolutely terrible. But I'm not sure if I could ever really get it to fit me. Read more 145 more words
Lovely bra, and despite the deep cup, did give my very soft, very pendulous boobs a nice, rounded, front-and-center look. Unfortunately, the underwires were waaaay too wide for me (at least an inch), which meant that the wings were shoved way up into my armpits.

The cups are too small (I had no idea what size I would need), so I can't really give a fair review. I really want to like this bra because it's beautiful, and the Emily has such a strong following. But, so far, it's not working for me.

I want to like Curvy Kate bras....I REALLY do. They all have beautiful designs and colors, the quality seems good, and you can usually always find them on sale.
I tried the black/purple Romance bra. Visually speaking, it's gorgeous. The purple just pops against the black, and it's by far one of the prettiest bras I've ever seen.
But, the fit is just not for me.
First, Curvy Kate straps are really far apart. Like, the farthest I've ever tried. Second, the shape is always strange. It's very east-west and not perfectly round (but this may be due to me not having the correct cup ...size). It's like a droopy tear drop or something. Also, there doesn't seem to be enough lift, so the top of my boobs look very empty and my stretch marks become more apparent (and I don't need help with that, as it keeps getting worse as I age!)
The band is firm and the underwires are fine. The matching shorts look and fit fantastic, so it's a shame this bra just doesn't work for me, as I'd love a matching set this beautiful. Read more 85 more words
