    Didn't fit

I looked carefully at reviews which said that 1) the tease ran small in the cup and 2) large in the band. I'm in between 30e/f and full on top. So I decided to go with the f cup, in my other purchase of this bra in a 30 band. But I also decided to get a 28ff in case the band ran big and stretched out quickly.

The cups: I think they do run small, but as this is a half cup and I'm in between sizes, it fits perfectly. There's nothing to cut in up top.

The band: I'm not sure if Curvy Kate has changed ... their fit, but the band runs true to a 28, I measure a tight 28 and a loose 30. So I had to buy an extender for this bra. Also, because the band is snug the cups feel a smidgen smaller than my 30f. But after a few days breaking it in its just right.

Funny note, one reviewer said it creaks. It does! Lol, just don't bend a bunch. Also, I like three hooks better than two, I feel like it'll stay in place even better.

Just a note, before I added the extender the band felt itchy. But with the extender it doesn't!

Very short-waisted, immediately projected, shallow apex projection, center full, close set, even, and slightly narrow breasts....

Stunningly beautiful. Will never work under my knits. Great nipple shrouding https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" /> I fill the bottom of the cups, but my very projected breasts push the shallow cups away from my body. Consequently, the tops are wide open.

Strangely, this particular burgundy and black bra has nearly 10" of depth which is nearly 1" more depth than the bra's average. The straps are the most comfortable I have ever experienced: .75" wide, stretchy, soft. However, they are too wide-set for my frame. I do not have narrow shoulders, so this is a characteristic you may want to carefully consider. Combine the very wide-set straps with my very short-waisted physique and the cup is, predictably, in my armpit.

The band is more stretchy than I anticipated, but delightfully comfortable.

  3. I own two of these bras, a 28F and a 30E. Neither one fits properly, and they fit very differently. They obviously are slightly different cuts of the bra. The lace trim along the top of the cup is attached differently, creating a much lower coverage cup on the 30E bra than on the 28F, so my nipples always end up poking up out of the cup. The gore digs in on both of them, and is much higher and more painful on the 28F. Overall, this is a pretty bra, but in both sizes and slightly different cuts I have, it's unwearable.

Really shallow so if you're not uber shallow too it will va va voom shove your boobs way up, I guess hence the name. Hard to quad cause it's so open on top (awesome for tall FOTers like me). Cups ran way too small and shallow, even too narrow for me. I'd fare better in two cup sizes larger I think. Band was tts. Wires really nice and firm so when you stretch the band the wires stay true to shape and do not flatten the cups. I have the purple colour way and it is really pretty, shame it doesn't fit.

  5. Not my favorite fit. Comfortable stretchy fabric, comfortable cups, but too much lace on top, strange looking under clothes.

    • Kinda looks like its flattening your boobs?

    • Yeah, definitely. I don't like how shallow the cups are, the cup construction has a definite role in that. I'm sure it's not just wrong size. Don't love balconettes on me in general.

    • Well, not all balconettes are the same

These bras really run on their own sizing- large in the back and small in the cup. I wore this when I was a 28H, the back ran too big (most bras do anyway), most people find they need to size up one or two cup sizes in this one and down a back (if theyre lucky enough to have the option to size down in the back...)

Beautiful bra and great cleavage tho!

Me: Narrow roots, narrow shoulders, evenly round, lots of immediate projection, slightly FoB, slightly centre full, never met a gore I didn't like, left-heavey by more than a cup size, 31" underbust, but prefer tight band with extender. Panache, Freya size 30GG

I moved the straps inward by about an inch. This makes the fit almost perfect. The wires are abit wide and I am not fond of padded bras. The band is on the large size and so I don't need an extender. I like the height of the centre gore. It is fairly wide, which doesn't bother me, but I am impressed at how well this bra deals with my centre fullness and assymetry.

    • Just wondering how you moved the straps in - I have a few bras (like you with narrow shoulders) that fit in the cup, but the straps are so wide set that they chafe when I move my arms forward and sometimes fall off. Curvy Kate I find is not my "strap friend"... I'm happy too that I'm shaped like you are, so thanks for posting what worked / not worked for you!

    • I used Nesoa 's instructions for moving bra straps. It only works on padded bras, for me anyway. The only bra I am really happy with from a strap position perspective is the Gaia Annicka.

      http://dressingcurves.blogspot.ca/2012/03/alterations-moving-strap-position.html

    • Oh, that's interesting. In what way does it not work for non-padded bad for you? :) I've done a lot of both so if i can improve it in some way it would only be good.

The only bras i do not move the straps on are some of the newest @Curvy Kate bras as those are actually well-graded in my size range.

    • For starters, when Comexim and seamstresses move the straps inwards on non-padded bras for me, the shape of unpadded (and some padded) is shifted (see my Donna). The tension points on the cups are designed for the normal strap placement and I haven't figured out how to fix it - except to put a dart in the outsideof the cup just inside the wire, which pulls the straps wider again (see my Chloe).

Secondly, when they are balconnette style seamed cup (which work best for me) there often is no wiggle room for strap placement as the top part of the cup usually comes right out to the strap and is usually made of flimsiery material. I suppose it might work on half cups or maybe even some full cup designs, but the wonderful thing about balconnettes and how they fit is the seam work. Plus, I am relatively low set and I am on the longest strap setting on most bras so I worry about moving the strap attachment without the insurance of extra length.

I just got a new Empreinte balconnete that has straps set comfortablly for me, but has the same shape issue as the Comexims, only a great deal worse. I can correct the shape problem by putting in a dart in the elastic just inside the wire on the outer side of the cup, but this pulls the straps too wide! I am just posting some photos today of my Jasmine altered. But I have put a 1 cm dart in my Ornella today, which makes the shape perfect, but makes the straps dig in my armpits! I am so frustrated!

    • The tension point is always shifted, and the shape always changes. However, for some, when the strap is so far out, the strap will actually really just pull at the arm, so the shape will be closer to what intended with it moved... But yes, it will be more noticable on some bras.

I do think it might be a case of size though. Primadonna has never been an option for me since I started wearing bras that fit (reasonably well). In my size range there is usually always at least 1.5 cm to move the strap on, _if_ I attach it lower down, right where the flimsier part ends, but in the correct panel in the cup. But yes, then you lose strap length, which for me is no problem (I usually shorten the straps too about 10 cm when I'm on it)...

I should probably make a tutorial on how to just round out the armhole (which is the issue for some that are high set, it's just cut too straight and not round), and, how to use that extra fabric on balconettes without having to set the strap in the upper inner cup section.

      Thank you! :)

I'm in the process of trying to figure out my bra size after gaining some weight, but when I found the Curvy Kate Tease Me bra in my old size on clearance, I couldn't resist. It's just so cute! I figured it would be worth trying out and I told myself, maybe it'll fit! I was wrong. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />

The wires are too narrow for me and it sits on top of my breast tissue at my side. It also digs in very painfully at my side and sternum. The cups are also a bit small and my nipples are playing peek-a-boo over the tops.
