This bra has a wide center gore but it sits very low, so its should not be a problem for breast seperation. The shape is not that rounded, more conical and the lace on top of the cup has no stretch, maybe problematic for FOT boobs.
This bra supports my girls well and lifts and separates them. It is a higher coverage that what I am used to, but that actually helps hold them in and keep from bouncing or moving around too much or getting that quad-boob effect in anyway. I also like how the center is a bit higher so that my tummy doesn't squish it when I am sitting or anything. The only downsides are that it is not that sexy and it does not give cleavage.
Of all the bra disasters I've had over the past several months, I think this was the most disappointing. I paid full price for it, and I TRULY BELIEVED while trying it on in the store (over two separate visits to Nordstrom) that it fit perfectly. I knew I would have to take in the band, but I was okay with that since Elomi starts at 34. I think maybe I didn't appreciate the full effect until I did the alteration.
When I altered it to roughly a 32H, several things became apparent very quickly: The bra is all wrong for my shape, so it pushes my breasts ...down and out to the sides. There is no center fullness or depth to the bra, so I have severe quad boob right after scooping and swooping, for the 5 seconds it takes for my breast tissue to fall down and to the sides to compensate for having no room for inner fullness. And these cups are really wide, so I have all kinds of empty space on the sides.
Beautiful bra, very high quality. Unmitigated disaster on me. Haven't decided what to do with this one yet -- I'll probably put it through fitting advice first. I have lost a fair amount of weight recently, and still seem to be losing. So I'm thinking it COULD be worth holding on to for...some time in the future. Even then, though, I can't imagine the shape of my breasts will have changed enough to make this bra work.
And maybe plunge bras are just all wrong for me. Perhaps I should give up on them altogether. Read more 166 more words
Well plunge bras are not my friend so I can't speak to that, but you will be AMAZED how much your shape changes with weight loss. I've lost a whopping 1 cup size and it's already a totally different ball game. Basically none of the bras that fit me in the larger size fit me at this size, like, not one. And ones that were a hot mess at my larger size are fine and dandy now.
So far, I think I seem to be losing band sizes instead of cup sizes. And isn't Elomi best for shallow shapes? I'm just not sure this brand is going to work for me even if I was excited about it to start with. I can't decide whether or not to keep these just for, I don't know, the next time I'm in someone's wedding or something and really need a low-cut bra. I could just put up with being pushed down and out to the sides for an event. I mean, I only quad when I scoop and swoop toward the front and center. This isn't as bad as other plunges I've tried -- I mean, at least it would be capable of containing my breast tissue for one night.
So freaking excited about this bra!!! The hype is totally spot on. Great for my bad left shoulder with the j-hook, gives me the best shape! Lift, great shape, j-hook, great light molded cups, and it's an Elomi??? Holy crap, I'm saving up for the pansy color. Me buy a bra that's not "nude"??? You know it's awesome!!
I'll never understand why this bra is unpopular! I got it new for super cheap on ebay, seems no one wants it. I could buy 3 more for like $10 each. Maybe because it's heavily padded? Size seemed spot on, it fits well. Seems good to me!
This bra, which I got used from another Bratabase user, is slightly too big in the cups for me. It holds my boobs just fine and is comfortable and cute, but there is space at the breast wall. I can definitely tell that the bra is too big. However, it works for me for now. It's not uncomfortable yet. It is a little stretched out, but not badly, and I can definitely get some good wear out of it. I suspect that it was snugger when it was newer. Also, I suspect that water is wet. I would recommend to women with identical measurements and breast shape that they size down one cup at least.
Love this bra. I have it in the black with pink dots. I wish it had just a little more projection at the bottom, but it isn't a big deal. Also, the fabric could be a little softer because sometimes it rubs under my arms.
I find that this bra takes several wearings to "break in" - prior to that, the underwire end under my arms tends to chafe a bit. This can be improved by bending the underwire outward slightly.
Once the bra is broken in, it's perfect for me! No quad-boob, center gore lays flat, band is comfortably snug.
I love that it has a very thin layer of molding in the cups to prevent nipple show-through, and that it has a different, less-stretchy fabric on the outer edge of the cup to discourage my boobs from spilling sideways into my armpit.
Thank you. I was (at first) so happy to find a nice molded bra in my size (usually a 34 L, 34 HH UK sizing, but this particular bra fit better in 36 HH). I love the shape, but after an hour or so wearing it I found that the wire cruelly dug in and left red mark and bruises. I've adjusted the wires and I have found that it has gotten more comfortable with multiple wearings. I think it will be my best bra every if I can manage to break it in. I'm going to pair it with a braologie Bracie when it comes in to add a bit more support and take some weight off the underside where the wires like to dig in.
The cups fit comfortably and are just about invisible under clothing. There is some redirecting of my side boob toward the front. The straps sit comfortably, not in my armpits.
While the shape is not fabulous -- someone fuller on bottom would likely have nicer results -- it's fine for every day wear. Additionally, compared to some other Elomi cuts, the center gore is lower, maybe allowing for some different shirt types.
However, I'm on the tightest hooks straight out of the envelope -- and I can still feel a disproportionate amount of weight hanging from the straps.
* Wide enough for my breasts. Underwires do not poke. Encloses breast tissue on sides.
* Stretch lace on the cup and elastic across the top of the cup allow for some flexibility in fit. While I do technically quad a bit in my larger breast, the elastic "gives" a bit, so it's less noticeable and less uncomfortable.
* Seams and stretch lace are smooth under all but very thin fabrics.
* Straps are not too far apart.
Cons:
* Band too big. (Elomi doesn't make a smaller band size.)
* While the sides of the cup do enclose my breast tissue, they don't do a whole lot to help project it forward.
This bra poked into me underneath my breasts, but once I bent the wires outward that problem went away. The support is more in the band than in the straps, and the bra is pretty. The side support is nice, but the band stretched - a lot. The first day, the 34" band was uncomfortably tight, but within a week I was on the tightest hook. It is now (after a couple of months) getting too lose. I alternate this bra with the panache Tango II, and this is less itchy.
I previously tried this bra in a 36FF, and the band was too big and the cup a little too small. I was bummed because I liked it and the shape it was hinting at. So, I sent it back and ordered it in two more sizes: 34G and 34GG. I'm so happy the 34GG fits. I love the plunge on this bra...maybe even better than the Freya Deco. You will probably need to go up one cup size in this particular Elomi bra because of the padding in it. It's quite substantial and is designed to push your breasts front and center, but it comes at the ...expense of space in the cup.
I'm also a big fan of bras with 3 hooks instead of two. They just seem to offer more stability and better support than 2-hook models. The 34GG has 3 hooks while the 34G has 2 hooks. I think this also helped make the 34GG a better fit for me. The Curvy Kate Tease Me bra has 3 hooks on the 34G, and it is one of the most comfortable bras I own. Read more 78 more words
not sure of the fit. definitely need to go up in cup. band felt firm first wear but was riding up on tightest hook on second wear. fairly rounded shape.
I purchased this bra in March 2012 when I was in the process of changing sizes from 36G to 34H. I thought I had only lost a band size, and so I got the 34GG, although the gore never lay completely flat.
So although I am adding the measurements in January 2013, I would not expect them to be much different from a new bra. The bra was in light rotation from purchase in March 2012 until August 2012 (worn about once a week).
I own this bra in two colors, 'white' and 'tan'. I find both unattractive - just generic floral lace with no interesting detailing. ... It's a basic day-to-day bra, not something to get excited about. The white, of course, is subject to discoloration, but it looks a lot better than the tan one, which reminds me of the unflattering shade of tannish-pink pantyhose which is favored by some elderly ladies.
Note that there is a HUGE difference in how the bra is made between GG and H cups. The band is significantly thicker, and the underwire goes MUCH higher - about an inch. When I tried the 34H in June 2012 I found it completely unwearable. Read more 95 more words
If i fits beautifully and is comfortable, who cares if it's sexy?
