    Hasn't set fit

I'll have to update after i've worn it - it came in right before the holiday rush and I tried it on like a week ago and havent put it on since!

I do remember that the band is too big, already on . . . 2nd or 3rd hook? The first SF I got, 75 was the right band size, but it no longer is.

The cups fit well, I was happy about that.

Hubby commented that he really liked the color of this bra - and thats unusual for him to comment. It is a darker shade of wine/purple. really nice! Looking forward to wearing it!

oops, looks like i have to post from here even tho i didnt put the pics in yet - should be up pretty soon.

    • Georgeous!! I LOVE the color! You might have to take the band in; or maybe a Rixie clip?

    • 1

I like this color, too. Giggle. So glad your husband approves :-) :-)

    • 1

Well, so far my 75 bands fit on 3rd/4th hook, but are . . ok. Not sure rixie clip works for such a wide band? I've never seen one in person. and i'm no seamstres, tho I suppose I could pay someone to take in a few of them

    • 1

I was worried these newer sf with the lace overlay on the band's would not be as firm as the basic sf with the two sturdy layers which was for me the very firm band was a bonus ... now I know not to size up in this bra ..
What I find interesting is that the cup depth of this 75jj sf is smaller than your 75j sf by .5 " and with the 1" longer stretched band of your 75j st that is a significant size difference to me .
Makes it hard to want to order directly from Ewa michalak if you don't know what your getting .

Does it feel as super supportive ?

It is a lovely color in a bra though .

    • I'm so sorry the band is too big :( :(

    • I looked for 4 hook Rixie clips, and couldn't find any, although I did see 3 hook Rixie clips. đŸ˜„

    • I havent worn it yet - its hanging on the shower rod drying, now. It did seem less big than I thoguht, but it could be measuring differences? its not easy . . .

    • It's definitely not easy that is for sure

    • 1

I didnt have a tape measure, but I held the two against each other this morning and the cups look pretty much the same shape except the new one is maybe a half inch taller? Really, it does look too small on my bigger side, but I was starting to fall otu of the other one - and i always fall out over the top, so . . taller works

    Fits

MY SHAPE: Narrow, projected, short roots, close set, center full, even fullness (not FOT or FOB)

FIT: I love the shape SF bras give! Super uplifted, front and center, round but with, as Ewa calls it, a "soft peak." The fit is right in line with my other SF bras, although my 75G - Ewa Michalak » Sf GƂadzioch BeĆŒ (849) remains the outlier with its tight band and slightly-too-short straps. The SF style is my favorite for having enough immediate projection and for accommodating my center fullness. Absolutely an A+ on fit!

APPEARANCE/QUALITY: I wasn't sure going in if the bows/crosshatching pattern were a light blue or ... some other color. Turns out they're gray! Very pretty. There is some slight oddness in the stretch section at the top of the cup. It has BOTH the stretchy floral purple lace and a single layer of stretchy black tulle (identical to the tulle in the double layer at the top of the cup on the 75G - Ewa Michalak » Sf Czarny GƂadzioch (866) ). I'm not really sure why this bra needed both materials, and they're not sewn together so it's possible to flap the purple lace down and reveal the black underneath. Perhaps it was done to match the wings, which are purple lace over stretchy black material? Perhaps just the lace alone was too stretchy and would've resulted in quadding? The matching briefs don't have the black backing at all.

OVERALL: I'm really excited to own my favorite style of bra in one of my favorite colors! I'm not a huge fan of the combination of the crosshatch pattern with the oversized floral lace, I would've preferred the clean lines of the tulle used in the beige and black SF bras... but this is still a really pretty set that I will wear often.

    • 1

Thanks Love4Pollinators ! It's growing on me for sure. It's super cute with the matching briefs!

    • 2

i agree about the cross hatch lace combo, but i'm still looking forward to being able to wear a purple bra when I need something to smile about!

    • 1

Oooh you're speaking my language here - close-set, center-full, projected... I'll have to check out that style, thanks! It does look great on you, and the color is gorgeous. Absolutely agree about the lace - but I'm a bit of a curmudgeon when it comes to lace. Give me smooth lines any day!

Looks fantastic on you! Like Ellace but more supportive: sounds lovely :-) :-)

    • I have the first SF that came out in beige, and I took that in a 75, and it took months until I could put it on the second hook. But this one in 75 was on the 2nd/3rd hook right away, and has stretched out more rapidly. So I wonder if you'll still suggest going up a band in another month.

    • Do you notice a big different in lower cup support with this SF compared to other unlined cups (even compared to other brands)? I've been debating if I should try an SF, and I need that lower support to hold everything up.

    • 1

dbmamaz that's interesting, I hope mine loosens up quickly. However it does suck when you get a band that fits well and it loosens too fast. Hopefully more SF's get added so there's more info on band length.

Wilderness1 I think it might be, it's a little hard for me to say for sure though, as it's not quite as perfect a fit as some of my other unlined bras.

    • When the first one came out, the website listed it as a tight band, but now that designation is off. I think they just designed the band sizing wrong and then fixed it - there was also some stitching problem where at least 2 of us had stitching come undone on the band in the first month we had it. So i think it was just the fine tuning

This bra is unpadded, probably not the best for anyone with assymetry, but gives wonderful shape and projection. It has a very firm band. I notice, and I have seen this in some of my other bras, wrinkling at the center bottom of the cups. It’s more noticeable in my smaller breast, but it happens in both. Does this mean I need a wider gore? Any other feedback on fit is welcome as well. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I’d like to know which style of Ewa bra may suit me better.

    • That is my problem too, but with big breasts - I went down a bad size and that helped a lot. Maybe that’s an option you could try?

    • 1

All of the SFs wrinkle on the models in the center and on the edges. There is not much center room on these. See this model: https://www.ewa-michalak.pl/eng_pl_Bra-SF-Iris-1408_7.jpg

If it doesn’t bother you too much (sliding, pain) I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

    • I'd disagree with the lack of center projection... So much better than an S or SM. But I'm also in a different size range with an 80H. I'm close set, soft and centerfull. It's one of the few bras I've gotten a tack with.

    • For those researching this bra, I agree with hootymyboobs. This bra is the most center full friendly bra I've ever had. Also, until it breaks in, there is some wrinkling. After it breaks in and gets softer, wrinkling goes away. Not always, but for me. I think this bra is best for extremely round breasts or extremely soft tissue. There is a ton of projection for the right shape and softness.

I really like the fabric on this bra; it's not padded, but it is stiff and feels supportive. It's purple with grey crosshatch pattern. The top of the cup is stretch lace. It has 4 rows of hooks. It really seems high quality and I so wish it fit. It's definitely too big for me in an 80G. Unfortunately, it still didn't get into my IMF, so I'm hesitant to try a 80FF. I fear that it will sit on my rib cage all day.

I went back and forth for a long time as to whether to purchase this bra. While the color and the appeal of trying the new SF cut tempted me, the patterning seemed too similar to my Ewa Michalak S Kamea (600). Finally, when Zathiya had my sister size on 30% sale for Black Friday, I knew I had to indulge my curiosity and try it out https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

Well, this bra is pretty marvelous. When I put it on for the first time, it was instant comfort! As compared to the BM cut, the SF gives me a rounder shape, and ... as compared to the SM, it holds in my center fullness better while still offering a hint of cleavage. The stretch lace upper panel (lined with a thin stretchy black mesh on the inside) makes this bra very accommodating to my asymmetry and monthly size fluctuations, while the thicker bottom section provides more nipple coverage than Ewa's other unlined bras. I also love the thinner straps used in the F cup as opposed to the thicker ones in my normal FF. The narrow wires, immediate projection and narrowish center gore also make for a very good fit. The band is TTS; expectedly a 65 would be best for me, but I purchased this bra for the convenience factor and the 70 is good on the third hook for now. The color is a little less rich than in the promo pictures-- more of a muted plum-- but still very beautiful.

Fits very similarly to the beige Sf (maybe slightly smaller in the cup), but I think the beige may be a bit more closed on top. Used to fit, now too small in cup for me.

This is my first SF bra and I like it. The cup fabric is thin but very sturdy and there is stretch lace along the top that helps with my asymmetry.

    • I like the SF (at least the ones I tried).

    • Yeah, I haven't tried BMs, but I feel like the stretchier cups wouldn't work as well with my super soft tissue. I hate feeling a lot of jiggle.

    • Depends on the firmness of the lace. My Wersal is a denser lace than Cabernet but Bibi Black is a unique beast.

    • OK, I'll keep that in mind.

  10. SF Trapez in 60KK

SF Trapez is classified as a Semi Soft bra (aka Semi Padded), though it has no padding what so ever. The logic is that the material is stiffer, and thus EM considers this padded, which it clearly is not. If you are looking for a padded bra, this is not for you. If you are looking for a supportive bra, then this one is perfect for you. Aside from the misleading description of the SF bras on EM’s website, this bra style is quite nice. The color on the cups is a plum or reddish purple with grey cross lines, and the lace is more ... of a violet purple. Personally, I don’t feel these two purples blend well together. The upper lace is stretchy which allows for fluctuations in fullness as well as asymmetry.

While this is a Ewa Michalak bra, it is actually produced under their Effuniak label, which does explain some minor differences between this and my other SF style bras by Ewa.

The band measures 22.25” and stretches to a max of 28.5”. It has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops, which seems to be standard for Ewa bras in the upper cup range. Per Ewa’s site, the band runs rather loose, but at 28.5” max stretch, this is not the case for this particular bra.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 12”

2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
    This measurement is: 14”

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

The cups are constructed in 5 sections, with 3 lower vertical, 1 upper outer wedge in the same material and the upper inner horizontal lace section. The height at the center of the cup is 9”.

The straps are wide set like most Ewa bras. The color of the straps is closer to the lace than the cups, in a deep violet color.

The center gore is set at .625” wide, with a height of 4”. The wires touch on the top then overlap mid-gore before separating into the cups. The wing is 5” and the wires are 6.25” from top to top. The oddity with these wires is that they don’t form the standard U but more of a lazy U that flares out a bit under the armpit area. Sort of a cross between a U and a V or J. Also, the wire does not fill the chamber, which allows for the wire to semi float throughout the day. For me, this type of wire & chamber setup can cause pressure point pain under the armpit by the end of the day. Hopefully this one will not be the same. I also know that when the wire floats in the chamber, it increases the likelihood of the wire escaping the chamber as well. The wire is 1cm shorter than the chamber.

Overall, while I do like this one, I don’t like it as much as my other SF styles. I love the support and separating I get from the SF style, as it’s something I don’t get from my other bras, which all seem to push my breasts together. Some days you just don’t want eye popping cleavage, and the SF style is perfect for those days.

Update 11/25/18: I pulled this one out of storage to try the fit again. I am at hi tide, about the fullest point of the month for me, so I opted to add new photos to compare. My breasts have grown a bit since I first got this one, but hi tide makes it even worse. Can't get my boobs in the bottom of the cup (only could at low tide when it fit anyway) and a lot of quadding on top of the cup. :-/ Back into storage for this one.
