I love this bra. I had been wearing only 30GG Freya Decos for years. Seriously, I would only have 1 bra at a time, and I would wear it every single day. I realized that was too small for me, and got refitted as a 30H. Since then, I've been buying bras online and sending them back for many months. Most of them didn't work on my close set boobs. I also have a problem with wide wires. I was nervous to try Ewa Michalak, being from the US and being a little wary about the international shipping. But, I ...have bought enough from the UK that I figured I should go for it.
I originally went with the size that their website calculator came up with (somewhere in the G range if I remember) and had to send it back for this one, which fits perfectly. The thing I love most is that the wires are so fantastically narrow! That, and the cups actually lift my boobs and put them close together, instead of in my armpits like all of the other brands I've tried. I've been wearing it every other day (alternating with the other Ewa I bought at the same time) since I got it several weeks ago, and it still feels good and hasn't stretched yet. The seams don't bother me at all, and the light padding is great for modesty and shape. I have good cleavage and a nice rounded profile. This is important to me, since I've spent so many years with only having the super round and cleavagey Decos! I will continue to experiment with the other bra brands, but I am definitely an Ewa girl! Can't wait for my next shipment to come in! Read more 201 more words
Another bra that has been amazing to own, but hasn't had enough wear, for a long time I worked somewhere where I needed to be in a less in your face bra as this so it wasn't worn a lot and then when I could wear it low and behold it didn't fit right =[. My favourite bra ever! The print and colour way is something I love, and it gives me the same shape and cleavage as my beloved decos.
The underwire seems to be a bit too inflexible for me, or perhaps the material is a bit too harsh or thin. I get red lines on my chest and sternum at the end of the day. However, the cups encapsulate my breasts well. It's not as much lift as I'm used to with the Freya plunges I've been in. However, it stays where it is the whole day and is pretty good at keeping me from jiggling too much.
I need to get an extender to properly try on this bra. This is the first plunge style bra I have tried from Ewa Michalak and if the other plunges are similar sizing to this one, you might want to go up one band size when ordering.
Based on the band measurements of this bra, though, I wonder if it was just mislabeled (30 inches stretched on a 32 band sized bra?)
-ETA- I now have a back extender on this bra and it fits okay. There is a tiny bit of tightness on my larger boob side which could potentially cause problems down the line, but trying it on now it fits. I think this will become more of an occasion bra, since the HP style is a bit more everyday comfortable in my opinion, but it is great to have the plunge option!
Definitely order up one band size from your regular size!
I really wanted this to fit but it is painfully, ridiculously small in the cups. Some of that is probably due to a change in measurements since I've been wearing better fitting bras since the time I ordered this one, but even so the cups on this Pl are significantly smaller than the CHP and HP styles that I own. The good: the band is a perfect fit, the cups sit in the right spot for my high set chest, the half adjustable straps are an ideal length for me (5'8" for reference) and are slightly wider, lightly padded at the front portion of the strap for additional ...shoulder comfort. It's a rich, lovely color with minimal embellishment so it can be worn under most clothing. As with the other Ewa bras I've tried, I love that in the larger cup sizes, the wires don't get so large that they wrap around to my back. I've seen others mention to order up, especially in the plunge style. They are not kidding! Will have to try again as I find these are the best suited bras for my shape. Read more 83 more words
I bought tis bra on sale - I would have never chosen it from looking at it obline, but it is much much much more beautiful in person - more purple than dark rad as I thought. Its wonderful to touch, great fabrics inside and out. I dont really like semi adjustable straps, but these are short enough to work. As for the fit - I am much more exposed than in my other bras, But somehow I jiggle less? I think its a cupsize too small though, but stil wearable - it doesnt cut in unless i pull my shoulders far back like Im going to knock someones teeth out. The ...shape is really nice - puts me even higher up than cleo alexa but doesnt have the shelf efect somehow. This is very new to me. Note that this is my first plunge. I will be requesting fitting help and after that updating the review.
AFTER 1 DAY OF WEAR The band stretched out so much I have it on the tightest hook. I am amazed by this cause at first i thought I wouldn't be able to fasten it. I HATE the straps on this one. I read later curvy wordys review on this one and she had the same problem - they dig in terribly, no support and the elastic somehow curls up. Very weird. The bra is definitely too small in the cups for me. By too sizes, according to the fitting section. Im keeping it though as my boyfriend seems to be enjoying my pornstar cleavage. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Great fit and shape. Nice looking bra. Band 70 perfect for my 72cm underbust. Edit: I've got a problem with underwire on bigger, left breast again. EM aren't made for mehttps://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
Great bra - the band is perfect for my 72cm underbust. Cup h is one size too bighttps://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Bra gives lovely round shape, more natural then padded Ewa Michalak bras. It's very comfortable - I can wear it all day..
Hi, thanks for the comment. I thought that too initially, but then I found two different listings on the Ewa website. This one does look identical almost to the Karmelki but it is listed as the Toffik, just as a different colour. Quite confusing! :-)
You mean this one, right? :) If so, click on the polish flag and you end up on the polish version and see that it's actually the PL Karmelki. They have just confused it on the English version, which has other similar issues. :)
When I originally tried to order this bra I thought it was the Toffik as well, but the Polish version keeps them apart. :)
That is so silly! Thanks for showing me that. Ewa needs to get it corrected because that will be confusing a ton of people. I'd ordered the Toffik originally and that was supposed to be the replacement size, so I guess they got my order wrong too!
I love the feel of this bra. The fabric, lining, straps, etc... It is all very comfortable.
For me the band is perfect. The only problem is I ordered a size or two too small. I get definite quadboob. I tried removing the cookies, but that wasn't enough. I need to order one, maybe two cup sizes larger next time. As opposed to the HP style, I love the shorter wires under the arm. This style is a bit more comfortable for that reason, but I would still love a bit more coverage over the top. A larger size may help with that...
Very comfortable and well made.
I'd suggest buying your regular band size in this style (CH) and possibly one cup larger than your Freya cup size.
It seems Ewa Michalak can do no wrong. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I love her PL Onyx and I adore HP Koktajl. Let me list the reasons: - looks: OMG, was my DH's comment, after he rolled in his tongue from the floor and wiped the drool off his chin. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" /> HP Koktajl's colour + lace is hot but yet still sophisticated and above all, it looks classy in the "Imported!Expensive!" sort of way, execpt that EM bras are very purse-friendly. - shape: rounder than EM plunges, but very front-and-center and gorgeously uplifted. Looks like million bucks under any shirt. - support: solid. No other definition required. - comfort: like all EM bras, the lining/material of the cups is silky soft against the skin and while the straps are sturdy, they don't dig in or scratch. - quality: outstanding. As usual, the sewing is immaculate. This is really a super bra. Get yours while you still can.
Hi! This bra is actually the PL Karmelki that you can find here: http://www.bratabase.com/browse/ewa-michalak/pl-karmelki/ You can easily change this one by going to the "edit" page of your bra and just change the style.
Looks good otherwise. :)
