I'm keeping this bra even though the band is a little large. I may add measurements for when I am a bit water-logged, as I think it will actually work quite well for that time of month... It doesn't ride up right away. I have a slight gap at the top of the cup, and if I tighten the straps, the cup fits perfectly. However, that is when the back rides up and straps dig in a bit, so in the future I will order an equivalent of 30 instead of 32/70 as recommended by EM's calculator. I love the height of the center! Many times plunges are ...a little low, and I kind of fall towards the middle creating evil quadra-boob. This one doesn't have that effect at all. The underwire length and placement is perfect for my shape. I am 5'3 and small-framed, so wires are often a little heavy-duty for my - body. These don't dig in anywhere. The details on the bra are beautiful. I didn't realize how pink and brown the bra was from Ewa's website - I think it looks a little brighter on their model. The straps are baby pink along with the ribbon details at the top of the cup and on the side, and the center bow is quite unique! The inside lining is pink cotton and amazingly comfortable. The cups are foam-lined, and add a bit of modesty (no extra bulk). It gives amazing lift and shape. The seams and ribbon across the top can be seen a little through clothing, but I could easily wear it under patterned tops or with a well-fitting cami.
I would like to order from EM again, but now I'm not sure if I'd need a 30HH or a 30J. Read more 188 more words
**Shape info:** very projected, pendulous, center full, somewhat narrow root (though doubt if Omega shaped), high on chest.
**I really like wearing this bra!** It is very soft, the elastic on the outer sides of the cups and bottom of the band is smooth, not scalloped, which I think is lovely. The fabric on the lower cup is reinforced with a less stretchy lining, but the top cup is quite stretchy. It also looks very pretty in a clean, minimalistic, yet feminine way.
Either this bra is one cup size too small for me, or there's a slight shape mismatch between my breasts and the bra cups. Some tissue escapes ...in the center after a bit of time and moving around. And the top part of the cups looks a tiny bit flattened when looking from top down - but it doesn't seem to be visible through clothing. (But I noticed that the tissue escaping *can* be seen through clothes in some cases though.) That is about the only negatives I could say about this bra. Maybe also the thing that I get more boob sweat with this one comparing to the Ewa's BM ones, as this one allows the breasts to touch in the center.
**The center panel seems to tack to my sternum. Not very strictly so, but a lot better than the BM Deser Nugatowy that I also currently have in size 70HH** - and more so than the absolute majority of bras that I've owned and tried on so far. For context, the only other two that have ever tacked have been Ewa's BM Bezowa Perla and Cleo's Kayla Balconnet.
[The next two paragraphs are about center panels (not) tacking and comparison of this vs. other EM bras that I have:] I've wondered if I should make as big of a deal out of this as I do, but the bras whose center panels did tack seemed more comfortable and secure than ones that don't tack. It also seems like the gores not tacking do shift the angle of the wires, so the wires can put more pressure on the ribcage than intended. I noticed when wearing the BM Deser Nugatowy nearly daily that sometimes I got a bit of a pain where the bottom of the underwire sat (relieved by shifting the underwire so it doesn't press on that spot). I'll still see how I'll feel after a while of wearing this one but so far it seems promising.
(The only other Ewa bra that has so far tacked for me before has been BM Bibi Bezowa Perla in size 70G. Even now that it's quite a bit too small, it seems closer to tacking than the BM Deser Nugatowy in the more correct size. (It was also the only bra whose wires have ever poked the sides of my breasts - not armpits though - painfully after a bit of wearing so I didn't get much wear out of it, but technically, it might be the closest one I've ever gotten to a correctly fitting bra. Besides this one maybe.) I have a theory that it is because the wires are shorter - and maybe the fabric is a bit stretchier? Anyway, the PLM might be, in this regard, the best bra I've found so far, as it has the cup volume needed but is a lot lower in the center, and I think that the description on their website also stated it's lower in the armpits, which feels true right now. Haven't measured the bra yet.)
**All in all,** it is a very soft, lovely, comfy bra to wear during days I don't have to do much vigorous physical activity. Maybe it'd be more movement-secure if I had purchased a larger cup size, hard to say. But for now, definitely keeping this one! Read more 525 more words
Bras don't always tack in the center for everyone, but if it's important for you to feel secure and comfortable it absolutely is a big deal. However, when you're center full, your breasts want to fall to the center so a higher gore is important to keep the breasts from falling inwards. I'm east west/side set, but in a plunge my breasts absolutely fall to the center because I have more breast tissue in the inside than I do the outside. My best fitting bra actually places my nipples which are only a little off center, an inch from my underwire close to my underarm. Because I'm center full the bra encases my breasts in a way that pushes my nipples over an extra inch and a half. If my best fitting bra were a plunge, none of my breasts would be in my cups. I have extremely soft issue and Pendulous breasts. Plunges typically aren't a good fit for pendulous breasts. Add center full and that = disaster.
It looks great on you while you're in it though.
If you want to try this style in the future I highly recommend heading over to Etsy and picking up some wires to separate bra cups and adding a little extra fabric between the cups just to make sure you don't fall out. ☺️ Plm can work for you if you add a couple things to it. Even a good seamstress can fix the bra for less than $20 since you like it so much it might be worth it. ☺️
Sf works GREAT for me. I haven't checked your bb yet but if you haven't tried sf you should. Get the same size plm or 1 cup size up. If runs tight in the band so maybe even size up a band keeping the cup size if the PLM. Sf is made like plm. Stretch cup on top, the cup on bottom. It's made the same aside from the necessary changes a plunge bra needs like center pull straps.
Another cut that might work for you is sm. They're not very pretty imo but I do think they'd be a great fit for you. I'm shallow on top so unfortunately they're not for me (or any full cup bra that doesn't have stretch lace/mesh)
I've also had some big bust ladies have great luck with smn (and other polish brands like nessa) since a hard tack is important for you, stay away from comexim.
Sf - cups stretch to match your size and shape exactly over time. It may be on the verge of being too small at first, but after wearing a few times, it will start fitting better and better. (Nibynic does, anyways) And now the bra is molded to me like an old memory foam pillow. Except I can't even tell I'm wearing a bra. It's THAT comfortable. It has a low center but high enough that even the softest of tissue doesn't escape. It's so soft and you honestly can't even tell it's there. I'd literally trade my soul for nibynic. I'm not joking nor do I wish I were, I am that serious about this bra. If you want a bra that cannot be felt then nibynic is the one. (I did have issues with cup folding/collapsing a tad when I first got it, but after she warmed up and stretched out the folding stopped and now it's like ewa made this bra from a 3d printer for me. This is one of those that needs to be broken in before it can be assessed properly. Bra should be borderline cutting into your tissue when you first get the bra. You should be able to feel the seems if you focus on feeling them. If you can feel them if you try, keep the size. Don't question a little bit of quadding. It will stretch to fit you perfectly)
Shape info: very projected, pendulous, center full, somewhat narrow root (though doubt if Omega shaped), high on chest.
*TL;DR:* bought this as a hopefully nude-toned bra for everyday use. It seems like a slight shape mismatch for me, as the cups look slightly large, but the center panel still doesn't tack. The construction and fabrics are great. The scalloped elastic on the sides seemed slightly irritating during the first few wears, but seems to soften over time.
I have pale skin, this is slightly too dark to be a perfect nude tone for my skin, but seems invisible enough under light garments. To me, the seams of it seem more visible ...through white shirts than the color.
*LONG review:* I bought this bra for practical reasons - had grown out of all of my bras, needed a somewhat nude-toned one. At the moment when I'm writing this review, I have worn it for a few weeks already.
Technically fit-wise it isn't perfect, but it is comfortable and feels secure. The few fit issues that I did notice (the center panel doesn't tack, cups may be a size(?) too large) don't cause any pain so far, so I'd say this bra fits OK for me right now.
I didn't have much luck with the PL Firletka (70J) that I bought just before this one. Sadly because in the pictures it looked like the shape might be a good fit and it was very, very pretty. With the Firletka, the shape didn't seem to fit me. The center panel floated and the cups seemed slightly big on top, although when I pressed the center panel to my sternum, the cups did seem to be a correct volume.
*This one's definitely better.* I think the cups might be one size too large and a slight shape mismatch - overall the cups look filled OK, there's a tiny bit of wrinkling on top, the apex is sitting slightly high, and the cup shape seems slightly "relaxed" on me. I remember reading that that can sometimes happen if the cups are too large.
All in all, it's comfy and looks pretty nice. And it's so good to finally have a bra that I'm not falling out of, lol, so that might be slightly clouding my judgement - maybe other people with the same fit issues wouldn't say that the bra fits OK.
*What's good about this bra:*
* The bra is made of soft, smooth fabrics. * The band feels nice and secure. * Cups are a nice rounded shape. * The tops of the cups are made of a soft stretch lace and a very soft stretch tulle(?). No elastic along the top edge. Seems like it could easily accommodate some size fluctuations. * The wire channels in the top part of the center panel are slightly overlapped by default (at least in this size) = narrower center panel and wire placement. * The cups are quite projected. * The straps are fully adjustable.
*The not-so-great things about this bra:*
* The center panel doesn't lie flat to my sternum. To be honest, even at this point, I'm not sure I understand exactly why this happens. I've read that Ewa Michalak BM bras are a good bet when looking for narrow + projected cups, and the BM Bibi Bezowa Perla that I bought before certainly was really good in this aspect.
I've collected size data about and compared the fit of different bras that I've bought, and read a bunch about fitting and even sewing for similar shapes and sizes as mine. The things that seem to influence this fit aspect for me the most are: 1) not enough projection & cup volume overall, 2) not enough center-projection, 3) too-wide wires that are, perhaps, also too widely placed, 4) wires that are too high in the center front.
As I wrote that the cups of this bra might, perhaps, be a size large for me, I think it's probably an issue of cup shape + wire size here. Although, the wires seem comfy to me, and they don't poke any tissue on the sides, which is important.
I have the BM Bibi Bezowa Perla in 70G. It is slightly better fitting in the center-front than this bra, but is overall a bit too small right now, and after a few hours of wear, the wires have always painfully poked my breast tissue on the top part of the cups on the sides. Although the spot where the wires of the 70G BM Bibi leave a mark on the sides makes me think the wires are only about 2-3 mm too narrow and/or short (the cup width of the 70G BM Bibi is 13.8 cm). Looking through the measurement data I've gathered, the best fitting wires/cups for me currently are ~14.3 cm wide, in a 30G Kayla Balconnet bra made by Cleo.
The cups of this bra, the BM Deser Nugatowy in 70HH, are 16.2 cm wide. So, the wires on this one might be, in fact, a tad too wide for me currently, thus possibly causing the center panel to float. (Although, if you're reading this while trying to understand which EM bra model / size to order, and usually have similar fit issues as I do here, please, take this with a grain of salt, because I'm still not sure if I've entirely understood the reasons for these fitting issues. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" /> Maybe there's something else going on that I've still missed.)
* Scalloped elastic sewn around the sides of the cups and back band. Seemed a bit irritating in the first few days, maybe they softened with wear. But maybe they could still irritate more sensitive folks (I'm already sensitive, but I know there are even more sensitive people out there). Read more 835 more words
This style allows a greater deal of movement in the cup due to the outer lace having stretch lace, with the give running vertically.
While there is far more immediate depth than available in my slightly smaller S cuts, it feels like this comes at cost of a proportionate cup that would allow any projection at all. Just fabulous immediate depth and then THE WALL. I wouldn't call the S the most deep thing on earth but for short + full it's been a really good style up till this stretch-lace overlay specific version.
It's been way too hot to wear this much yet, but swapped wires for plunge ones that match my IMF, keeps the projection low and focused forward rather than veering upwards and pushing back in.
This bra was absolutely the most comfortable lounging bra. It doesn't offer the support I would need to wear it out or to replace a bra, but it did add a lot of comfort for when I was at home and relaxing.
I have this bra in 70KK and 70HH due to an impulse buy and shrinking boobage. Ewa Michalak lace S bras seem more similar to the CHPs - except with taller cups. The lace is delicate but doesn't snag easily and the colors are beautifully vibrant. A big win for me.
This fits me technically technically fine (with the caveat that I need an extender to get one extra row of hooks). I love the fabric - the color, the feel, the little polka dot bow in the middle (and I'm kind of sick of bows!)
I feel like I'm not getting enough lift in this bra for my personal tastes. It's also giving me an ever so slightly pointy shape. I think a cup size down would be perfect. And, the straps are a little wide set (which is not a problem I run into with Ewa bras, another reason I'm thinking too big cup size).
Ewa's S cut doesn't technically fit me - the gore never quite tacks and the wires start to dig into my ribs by the end of the day - but it's the closest I've come with a padded bra, and I love everything else about it enough to not care about the fit issues. The lift and shape this bra offers is gorgeous. I feel like a bombshell in it! I really like the Kamea colorway too, the purple and black is really nice.
I suppose my boobs grew again because I started quadding in this and I get cut in half in my 70H nina. I get pretty good cleavage the Ninas with a size down. It reminds me of the victorian/corset type cleavage.
Overall this bra is very well constructed and is very pretty. This bra really pushes the boobs forward and in. They feel a bit crowded and I worry they might get sweaty in the summer. It looks nice for sure though. Hate the east-west look. The lace is not completely flat under a t-shirt though, just fyi. I usually buy moulded cups with no lace for this reason but am tired of them not being the correct shape.
I think I should have ordered a larger cup size because my larger (right) breast keeps popping up and making a quad boob look. It helped to shorten the ...straps to keep the bra up, but sometimes when I bend over it pops out. I will order a 70J in the future and keep the pad in the smaller breast to even them out.
One thing to note is that I'm very glad that I did not listen to internet advice about sizing up in the band. I ordered a 70, which corresponds to my usual 32 band. It's snug, but that's the way I like it.
I decided to keep this bra despite the minor problems because it's still the best fitting bra I currently have and it makes me feel supported. The place I ordered did not have any 70J in stock. Read more 116 more words
So I've been dying for this bra ever since I saw it. The pattern is super cute. When I saw one listed here, I had to snag it even though it's a cup size too big. Figured I could just pad it if I needed to. Well thankfully, this works perfect as a "my boobs are swollen thanks to my period" bra. No gaping, though I'll have to see when I'm off of my monthly cycle.
I put this bra through my work test, like I do all my bras, and it failed for the same reason every S cut will end up failing it, my close set ...breasts! I wasn't sure if lack of projection was causing my soft tack or if I was in a slightly too small cup. Well it's apparent it's just too high of a gore to properly tack for me. Which is distressing, because I also have center full breasts so a plunge bra or one with a lowered gore, won't keep me contained through a day of bending and twisting.
Otherwise this is a great bra. Super comfy, cute design, light staining from the previous owner, but that's all aesthetics (plus it's on the inside of the band so NBD). I could feel my boobs just under my chin all day at work, so I know that they're staying right where they should. It's just unfortunate that the gore won't tack for me. I've been doing a fix of rolling up some toilet paper or paper towels and putting it at the bottom of the gore. It still digs in, but this prevents it from cutting me (like my grenatowa did).
Since I'm marking this as a bra adventure, if anyone has the matching panties in a 36-38 that they'd be willing to part with, I'd love you forever https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Read more 204 more words
The fabric is soooooooo soft! You'd almost think it was red until you compare the exterior (pink) to the bright red interior or the bright red satin bows. I'm so glad I bought the set! The fit is perfect. I am currently between a 32/34 and it's just a hair too tight right now, so I'll use an extender until it breaks in. No quad/gaping anywhere. I prefer the higher gore of the CHP (I think I get a little more lift with that style) but this one is very nice for low-cut tops. It's also very smooth, so I doubt if the seams would show under anything except possibly the thinnest fabric - under which you probably wouldn't be wearing a bright pink bra anyway. My only concern is that the fabric is the kind that snags easily and I'm a walking sharp-edge factory.
This bra is stinkin' cute! I think the band is on the larger side since I typically take a 75 in EM; this was a little tight so I wore it with an extender for the first few times. EMs stretch and it is on the tight side of fine now. The projection is great; I almost get that infamous buttcrack cleavage. I can't recall what size/style of this one I tried before (I'm sure my review is floating around Bratabase somewhere), but I expect the slightly off-sized nature is what led the original buyer to sell. I won't buy EMs directly anymore due to their horrendous customer service, but I'm glad to have this one. It looks fab with plain red undies, too.
This bra is gorgeous and I would absolutely order it again, but I had the sizing wrong on the cups so I would need a smaller cup size in the future. Everything else was great.
So happy to have this gem back in my rotation. See my review of the 75H for more details. I sold my 75H, and purchased the 70HH, as the band runs big in this one. Cups are TTS for EM, but definitely size down in the band.
I think the CHP style suits my shape the best. The immediate projection is awesome and the bra is lovely. Sadly I guessed the wrong on the size, so this is just a cup size too big. =(
