My boobs sit really well in the bottom, but then there is extra room in the top half. I know that I got the band size too large, as this was my first properly fit bra purchase. I originally got a 30 band size (which is what I should be) and thought that it was too tight, but I think I just wasn't used to a proper band instead of the 36 I was wearing. I've only had it about a month, and I think that quality of it is good. The material is comfortable and soft, but the shape just doesn't quite fit with the shapes of my breasts.
This gives a fantastic rounded shape under clothes, and the seams are invisible. It's also absolutely GORGEOUS, and the lace is soft and comfortable. I have it in cafe au lait, which is a lovely light beige. This one is too small in the cups on me now (I got it in a size down as I thought Fantasie ran large), and gives noticeable quad-boob, but I fully do intend to order one again if I find a good sale, in 30G. (I mostly wear 30G-30GG in Freya now, so I'd say this runs slightly generous in the cup, but not a full size large).
Gorgeous bra, band has very little stretch and is extremely supportive. The shape isn't pointy but it is very forward projecting and not round. Gore is around 3.5 inches high which can get uncomfortable after a while.
Oddly enough considering this is the same bra, only unpadded, as the 4500, it's very different. The straps are slightly closer together, just enough to still bind sightly but not actually hurt or rub. The wires on the outside are much much lower and give me side boob when I don't have any! The wires are narrower, almost too narrow for me - when I take the bra off it sort of clings to the root of my boobs, but it's comfortable when wearing and doesn't actually sit on top of any tissue. This is also unpleasant because after only a few wears it started showing a lot ...of wear where the edge of the wire is in the channel. I can move it to sit all the way up at the outer edge but then gore folds over. On heavier days I get a very slight quadaboobing on my larger boob, while still getting these weird wrinkles at the top. It gives a decent shape under clothing and isn't too uncomfortable to wear, though it's not my first choice. It's very boring and plain! I had some issues at first when wearing it because the corners of the hook area were very sharp and felt like they were stabbing me until I trimmed the edges slightly. Read more 110 more words
This is the first molded cup bra that comes close to fitting me. It was very comfortable when I tried it on, but after a full day it's very uncomfortable! The straps are almost in my armpits and rub terribly any time I move my arms, so by the end of a day I have raw spots where the straps bind under my arms. The bottom of the band digs in painfully while the top edge of it is fine. It does stay put through the whole day and if I don't have to move my arms much it's pretty comfortable, and it gives a very nice shape under clothes. It's not a terribly pretty bra, just very basic. Straps are fully adjustable and slightly softer on the underside
It's a very nice fitted bra with good support, and comfortable to wear. It gives you a nice lifted round shape. Cons: the straps can't adjust short enough and stretch too much after a few worn, nipples and seams showed under clothes.
First bra I tried in my new size, must have got lucky because it fit and still the only one that does. Was put off by the tight band and high gore at first but my ribcage measurement went from 32 to 31 since owning this bra and now fits much more comfortably. The underwires are ever slightly too narrow on the sides for me though.
I've only just got it but I love it already! The right side cuts in only a little at the top but that is only right after I've scooped/swooped and not all the time. The color is more purple-y than I thought it was from the picture but I love it! It's very pretty, and fits like my other best fitting bra.
I love the overall shape of this model of bra, and the options for how to wear the straps (made me very sad when they discontinued it) but this particular size just doesn't fit at all in the cups. I have another in a different size that did fit for a while and it's held up very well.
This is my best fitting bra. Lovely lifted rounded shape, no wrinkles, no rubbing. The fabric is a lovely spotty black lace overlying teal. Tops of cups feature lace with botanic embroidery and nice substantial geometric lace trim in teal.
Fantasie side support bras are consistently among my favorites for comfort and appearance. I have to give this one away, because I've sized out of it since I bought it. SAD.
First of all, the Rebecca may not be an exciting bra appearance-wise but holy moly is it comfortable. I think it makes a great t-shirt bra or perhaps something good for under office attire. I recommend it if you are looking for a utilitarian bra of sorts, and you have low slung, spread out breasts like mine. The material is soft and seems to contain my boobs in all the right places. While I haven't tried it yet, I could probably sleep in the Rebecca without complaint.
I really love this bra. I unfortunately should have ordered one cup size up so it's slightly snug in the cup for me. It's very pretty, gives a nice shape and is supportive. When I first wore it, the straps were itchy though-the straps have a sort of lace on them and the section that loops under where the length adjusts..the lace sits against your skin there. It did soften after some time though. I wish this was the right size for me because I really do like it.
This bra has a fairly severe diagonal at the top of the cup – there is some flattening and squooshing going on, as there is for me with all bras cut in this fashion. It does give a pointed rather than rounded silhouette, which I personally do not see as a deficit; in fact, it's what I reach for when seeking a midcentury silhouette.
If I were to replace this bra, I would go down a band size (there has always been a bit of shifting) and would consider going down a cup size (I have lost weight since its purchase). So, probably a 30F.
I like this bra. It is smooth and hides under shirts and is mostly comfortable. The only downside is the cup wrinkles at the bottom under my smaller boob. This gets kind of annoying as it causes a general feeling of lack of support on that side. It probably wouldn't be a problem though for people with less of a size difference (I'm perfectly the same with a one cup size false).
The only thing that has happened with washing to this bra over the last year (cold water and the occasional dryer trip due to roommates) is that the bias on the top has gotten a teensy tiny bit dingy and some fuzzies on it, but those can be picked off. I haven't noticed deterioration in the cup or band.
This is a beautiful bra--my first one that even came close to fitting after I lost a bunch of weight.
This bra is somewhere in between a full-coverage and a demi bra, which is nice for an everyday bra. It is soft non-stretchy lace embroidery on the top third of the cup, with a soft (but non-stretchy) lightly lined nylon/polyester solid base. The detailing is exquisite (and better be for the price-$73. ouch) and it has held up wonderfully through lots of use and hand washings. It also seems to have a little more padding on the underwires than other bras, which is a HUGE savior for my arthritic ...ribs (yes. arthritis in ribs. stupid RA).
The top edge of the lace has a slight reinforcement that I was worried would cut into my upper boob, but it just supports the lace edging so that it does not wrinkle or fold. The combination of lace and light fabric means that it breathes wonderfully and dries very quickly. The cups seem slightly larger than similar size 32 (US DDD UK F) bras. This is great because I am right on the top end of that size--during that time of the month I am solidly up one size, which is interesting for dressing.
There are a couple of problems though. As I have shrunk more and the bra stretched out (it has gained about an inch or so since I bought it) it has begun to ride up in the back, even on the tightest hook. Secondly, the straps are rather wide set where they attach to the cups, so the bra/straps tend to cut into the front of my armpit now that I have it on a tighter hook. (It did NOT dig in on the first or middle hook setting).
Overall I love this bra, and it is still my go-to bra, but I am afraid that in this style my 31" ribs need a 30" band rather than a 32". Read more 222 more words
