I've been on a quest to find the perfect well-fitting seamless bra. I don't like molded bras, and I wear a 28/30 band (preferring 28s for their longer life), so my options are surprisingly limited. This is by far the best that I've found.
It's super comfortable, gives a terrific rounded, projected shape, and covers just enough of the chest. It's a very simple, unornamented design, but I actually find it quite beautifully minimalistic in the black.
Some minor fit quibbles -- this bra expects a certain degree of upper fullness, and I get wrinkling at the top of the cup if that expectation is not met. ... I use an insert to correct this problem on my smaller side. Also, the band on this bra fits like a true 30, so it's a touch big for me -- out of the box, it fits me best on the second hook. I wish it came in a 28.
For the record, here are my quick notes on the other unmolded seamless bras that I've tried or own in my size:
- Fantasie Esme (30F) - fits wider than the 4520 and flattens the chest more. Not enough projection for me, but still comfortable. This is a tight 30 that fits more like a 28 - yay!
- Prima Donna Satin Seamless (30F) - expensive bra, but inferior to the Fantasie offerings. It's a full cup and it's not full enough in the center for me; gives an east/west look with wide wires. I feel like they just shortened the band on a larger size without scaling the bra to a smaller woman. The band is very stretchy. Like most standard 30s, I started on the 2nd hook, but this one has stretched out quickly.
- Empreinte Kaela (30F) - I only tried this on in store. It seemed like an uplifting, great quality bra. It has a rather lovely texture, which unfortunately shows through thin knits and sort of defeats the point of a seamless bra. It also costs double what the Fantasie offerings do.
- Empreinte Iva (30F) - Tried this on in store. It gives a sad, droopy shape. It also costs a fortune. Run away!
