Fauve, so high quality materials and construction; sophisticated aesthetic. The Sunset colorway is achieved with top stitching of pale rose pink anchored by bottom stitching of deep rose. The all-over brocade-type embroidery does not show under regular knits. The wires are a little too wide for my narrow girls but not in a bad way, they do not go out too far or poke under the arms. Band is TTS and very firm. Straps are only 1/2 adjustable, padded for comfort and textured for anti-slip. Trim along the top of cup, bottom of band all the way around and 1/2 way up the straps is perfectly color-coordinated and ...doesn't show through. Double and tastefully restrained pink & black bows in all the usual places. The half cup is 3 part, lightly padded and plenty deep enough for my crazy immediate projection (although this may be helped by the slightly wide wires) and gives terrific lift, centering and cleavage with a nice natural rounded shape; also fairly tall so I feel more 'collected' than some lower half cups (actually feels more like a balcony). Lined in a silky poly and the wires are covered in a soft french terry, as is the clasp. Comfort, comfort, comfort! What I love about Fauve is the details. For example, the top of the gore is sewn at an angle, not straight across, because the cups come out at an angle - duh! Also there is a 1/2 or so in the wire channel. I have 3 Emmanuelles now, and they are all a joy to wear. Read more 153 more words
This could be the epitome of a bedroom bra! The decollete-baring half cup is all cakes on a plate, heaving bosom stuff. Add purple satin, lace net overlay, abundant embroidery in shades of rose and red; I like to imagine this bra in candlelight... The rich embroidery detail is repeated at the straps and back clasp. Its a stunner. The luxurious quality is all Fauve, too: attention to detail and comfort. Very soft felt along the straps, band and wires; lightly padded cups lined in a smooth satiny fabric. The wires are wide to average, the band is quite stretchy (I had it on the tightest hooks), and the gore is low but narrow. Straps adjust almost all the way and are firm, giving good support, but I think they are fairly wide-set. Fauve has 2 cuts for their half cups, and while many fit me perfectly in a 32F, the Coco cut does not, it is too shallow for my immediate projection and also closed a bit up top. I wonder if Aurelia is cut more like Coco?
My shape: slightly shallow teardrop/FOB with super wide/tall roots and very close-set tissue in the middle
This review is for the Silver colorway.
Of course! As soon as my gorgeous new [full-price] Bronte arrived from Figleaves, they posted a 50% off sale...
In spite of my annoyance, I am thrilled. I love my 32F - Fauve » Bronte Padded Longline Bra (0331) to bits and it is still one of the best fitting bras I have ever owned. The silver satin really shimmers in the light! I love longlines, too, and the beautiful embroidered lace around the edges and on the straps is characteristic of Fauve's attention to ...detail.
Vertical-seam half cups seem to be the best shape for me by far, and this is no exception. The cup is tall enough that I don't pop over the top, but short enough and open-on-top enough that nothing cuts into my tall roots. The padding is minimal and really only prevents show through, so there are no giant foam cookies pushing my boobs into weird shapes. It's super comfortable and the gore is high but somehow doesn't dig! YAY
I noticed a little bit of a gape at the top of the cup on my smaller breast in this one, which I don't recall having in the Spice colorway - that is, the cups on the Spice gape a teensy amount because it wasn't tailored to me personally, and obviously rather more when I hunch my shoulders because of how wide the straps are set, but this is a bit more. I also noticed that the bottom of the cup looks a tiny bit shallower than the Spice, but I'll have to double check next time I wear it. The straps also seem to be set a little bit wider.
Overall, it's very comfortable and while wearing it under clothes the differences in the colorways (if I'm not imagining them) is negligible. Still grumpy about my timing with regards to the half-off sale, but ecstatic about my pretty new Bronte. Love! Read more 229 more words
First of all, this is a lovely bra that is both beautiful and well-constructed. I love the color and the opulent feel of the bra! It is a bit small in the cups, although there is no quadboobing - so I think a 32FF would be slightly big on me. The band is comfortable and true to size, I think. The shape is amazing - just the way I like it, round (especially in profile) and subtly sexy.
By the way, for some reason, my breasts look wonky in the front view photo, like their shape is bending the centre gore... This is in no way noticeable in real life.
I love this bra, it's super comfortable and very pretty. It has good support, might be a bit better for me if the cups were just the tiniest smidgen narrower, but it's not an issue and doesn't affect the fit. The straps are comfy and the quality is great.
I don't actually have the cup depth of this bra, I made an educated guess at what it most likely was based upon the data I had on the 32E. Proceed with caution.
This is one of my favorite bras! It is so so pretty, gives a nice cleavage and also offers support. First I ordered a 32E, but the cups were too small (I´m in between E/F, it varies from brand to brand and models). Strangely I didn´t notice the quite big band when I tried 32E, but my 32F is a little too big (30FF would be perfect). But some way it still offers support and looks nice.
