    32H

    Didn't fit

This is a good, basic bra IF you aren't full on top. I don't find anything "balconette" about the shape; it's full coverage on me and comes up awfully high into the front of my underarms - but I am short.
The straps (as others have adequately noted) are pretty ugly but they are comfy. I find the 32H (red) a slightly better fit than the 34GG (black), which would indicate that it runs large in the band, but there is a little wrinkling at the bottom of the cup. I could not size down, though, because the cups would definitely cut into my upper breast ... fullness. I can just squeak by with the H as it is.
The shape is "fine" if you don't mind a little minimising. Nothing to write home about, but again, it's a basic. The seaming & lace trim along the top are nice & flat under clothing.
I would prefer it to be lined to prevent show-through, but I do appreciate the 3 hooks.
An additional note after wearing a few times: this bra has a break-in period. I've worn them a handful of times each, and they have been a little more comfy each time - particularly at the front of my armpits where they were most problematic in the beginning.
Final assessment: I'll keep it & I'll wear it regularly, but I wouldn't buy it again. It would be a great bra for someone taller or with a longer torso who had some migration to tackle.

Extremely close in size/shape/fit to the red 32H I have but I've heard that it's normal for black bras to be smaller than other colors. The band is very firm, on the smallish side for a 34. Three hooks.
The cup is probably true to size, but it's hard for me to say because it's a wide, shallow fit and I have narrow-root, rounded boobs. The top edge cuts into my upper fullness in the center just a tiny bit, but I have empty space on the outside. The wires come up awfully high under the armpits and the front of the cup is very wide ... and cuts in under my arm. This has gotten better after wearing a few times, but it doesn't meet my admittedly unreasonable standards for long-term comfort. I think it would be GREAT for someone with a) wide, shallow boobs or b) migrated tissue to reign in. It would be BAD for someone who was very full on top.
It is NOT a balconette in this size. It is full coverage. Maybe it would be less overwhelming if I were taller.
Gawdawful ugly straps, but comfy & fully adjustable.
It is very practical. Seams, lace detail, etc. are largely invisible under clothing. Very good quality materials & stitching.
Bottom line: I wouldn't buy it again, but I will wear it out or die trying.

  3. I love this bra! This is the first one I bought that is in my correct size!
The only issue is that at first it was a bit painful under the breasts where my torso begins to curve, but after I bent the underwires to fit the curve of my body, it's extremely comfortable. I have had this bra for about six months now and I can still wear it on the tightest fastening. The bra doesn't show through even my thin shirts, but it does come up a bit high so sometimes I have to be careful about lower-cut shirts. Also, the straps are quite thick which is a pity because I would have liked to wear the bra with some of my tank tops. The only slightly uncomfortable thing is that the straps are set quite widely apart, and sometimes it pinches a little bit of my armpit fat. But maybe that is breast tissue that is going to migrate?

Got this from a Bratabase member, so the band has already been relaxed. Band is very snug, but not uncomfortable. Straps are far too far apart, which creates a wrinkling in the top of the cup. If I could wear the straps wider, the cup would fit perfectly. I have narrow, sloping shoulders.

My apex is not where the bra seems to want the apex to be (I am lower and more forward--the seams on this bra meet higher and slightly more east/west). It gives me the rounded look many women seem to love, but rounded means my arms brush my boobs when I lift my arms because ... the boobs are now slightly wider than my torso.

Although I fill the bottom, I have this slight feeling of orange in glass--very slight but it's there (just a little more cup left over at the bottom, maybe 1/4 inch). Since the wires form a wider, more open bottom-of-the-U, I'm not sure why this would be.

So this bra will go into my rotation because it fits better than a couple I am no longer wearing, but it's convincing me I am not a Freya type.

Update Mar 1: Just can't make it work. the band is about 1/2 inch too short, and adding an extender makes the straps fall off (well, not really fall off since they are then too wide to even sit on my shoulders). The round shape is fine from a profile view but straight on it looks (to me anyway) like I have two large balloons on my chest.

On paper, this should fit. But the band is a tiny bit too tight, and the left cup is too small by far. With an extender, the left cup fits a tiny bit better but then the straps are much too wide. It's a basic, sturdy bra.

The nude or 'barely there' color of this bra seems to run a tiny bit smaller in the cups than the red, but about the same as the black.

As one of Freya's older bras, it has a nice firm band (unlike a lot of the newer ones).

This is a beautiful full cup Freya bra, great for everyday use. Brand new only has been tried on. Unfortunately, found out that I need a 26 band instead of a 28. So it is too big for me

    • How big is your ribcage? My ribcage is 26.5" and Bratabase is telling me that this bra will actually be too tight in the band.
I find that Freya bands are really stretchy, which is too bad because I love every other aspect of the bras. (Well, I do dislike that the GG+ styles differ from the

    • Hi, my ribcage is 24."" I find that Panache and Curvy Kate bands run smaller than Freya. But I do not think that this will be too tight it runs more like a bigger 28 band. I have made a few purchases in my band size in Ewa Michalak. So far they are the closest to my band size, a 25.

    • Ewa Michalak is basically the only option for people with <26" ribcages! I did find the special ordering process to be very easy, though, so good luck with EM. (I found that the CH styles have stretchier bands so I can wear a 55HH Cielus just fine, but I needed an extender for my 55HH HP Koktajl. With four sets of hooks, they will last you for a while.

As for the Freyas, I used to fit 28 bands but they've gotten stretchier. Now I need all of the 28 bands to be on the smallest hooks from the start. I might try the Antoinette though, because it seems like the band is less stretchy than other Freyas.
