    Hasn't set fit

This bra is my perfect fit. I wore the Pollyanna for years and this fits basically the same. I am short in the torso and so the plunge allows me to wear nearly anything I like, the wires swing wide and low at the sides, more so than other brands - one of the reasons I love Freya. Fauve, Fantasie, others ... the wires all come up too high inside my armpit and cause pain and nerve issues. Enough stretch in the fabric to allow for the variation between sides. The wires poke into my ribs, but then less so than others, and I've never found a bra that doesn't.

Like all Freya plunges, it cuts into the top of my boob and is way wide in the gore. One of those bras I was half way to taking off before I even got it on.

    Fits

I am a fairly even and projected breast shape. I have average-to-narrow roots with a slight omega shape. My best fitting bra is a Cleo Lily in 30G.

Before the rest of my review, a quick thanks to learningaboutbras for sending this one my way after reading one of my bra misadventures https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

Note that pictures are edited very slightly to obscure nipples.

This bra is good for people who need narrow wires, are full on bottom, and have a decent amount of projection.

This bra is incredibly comfortable - I get just the slightest hint of quad-boob along the top, but ... I also tend to be a bit in between sizes for Freya. The lace cups of this bra are fairly stretchy an accommodating, as well, which means I have quite a bit of leeway anyway.

The nude colour is the best I've found yet for my skin! I tend to be very fair with slightly pinkish-yellow undertones, and most nude colours tend to be a bit dark for me. The snowflake-like pattern is really adorable and adds a bit of interest, given that nude bras tend to be very basic. The pattern is an off-white colour that is unobtrusive, meaning it won't show under clothing.

The shape of the bra is very round and flattering - especially compared to most other Freya bras I've tried, which tend to give me a bit of a "boob torpedo" shape. I love how it looks under clothing.

The band is very typical of Freya in that it tends to be on the stretchy side compared to the likes of Cleo and Panache. It's maybe a *little* looser than I'd ideally prefer, but it does not substantially affect the fit.

So far, I really like this bra. The fabric the bra is made out of it wonderful and soft/silky. And nice details in the design. Because of how stretchy the fabric is, I get almost no quadboobing, regardless of what I do (even with my shoulders pulled back), which is kind of cool. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

The only complaint I had initially was that the shape of the wires was a little unconfortable on my sternum (a perpetual problem for me). I bent and reshaped the wires and so far that seems to be doing the trick. We'll see if it is enough.

Edit: I've decided that though this bra fits well in every way, the wire aren't padded enough for me. I've tried bending the wires and it's just not enough.

I wouldn't ordinarily try a Freya balcony bra because of their reputation for suiting projected, full-on-bottom breasts, but I picked up the 30FF Faye Underwired Plunge Balcony Bra (4201) because it's a beige, unlined, very lightweight bra. It turns out the cups fit okay, with just a bit of wrinkling where the upper lacy material meets the plainer woven lower material. This wouldn't show under shirts.

I think the reason this fits okay on my neither shallow nor projected shape is the wires kind of slant backwards under the arms. The wires and wings are not high enough for me, but the wires do go far enough back that ... enough of my tissue gets pushed into the cups, and the cups are filled.

But what a lot of fabric for a plunge bra! First of all, the center gore is 2.5" high, which is 1" higher than my close-set breasts like. Secondly, there is a lot of fabric in those cups. This covers about the same amount of square inches as my Fantasie full cup bras, the Serene and 4520. Because I'm petite, I have an incredibly hard time finding bras that don't peek through necklines. The Freya Faye is not going to help me here.

I think this is a plunge perhaps designed for women who want a plunge but have soft tissue that needs to be contained so the tissue doesn't ooze out at the top or gore.

I love this bra! It definitely has a minimizing effect on my boobs, making it easier to wear some tops. The pattern on the fabric and lace is super cute. The cups are super thin, though, so it won't hide nips, but it's very nice in the sumer because it breathes a little.

I really wanted this bra to fit me. Even though the wires are too wide and the gore is too high, I decided to keep it. I wish I had returned it.

I had to bend the wires so they wouldn't dig into my ribs, and that helped, but I have pain on the sides where the wires end, because they're too wide, and between my very close together boobs where the gore is too high.

The cups fit great, as I am projected. But they are just too wide and the gore is too high.

im incredibly sad this doesn't work, because it has to be one of the prettiest bras, especially for a tan color, and the materials are very comfortable.

Im not sure what the cups are made of but ive never felt anything like it- its smooth on the outside, but soft on the inside, like a silk type material. There are bows on the gore and strap made of a tan striped fabric with white tails, embroidered straps that are so, so soft, and the pattern is a sort of circles/snowflakes/flowers? not really sure how to describe it, its a geometric print but its lovely and subtle. The lace that ... makes up the other half of the cups is sort of scalloped and very soft. for appearances, this gets an A.

The fit is where i am having the most issues. The band for starters is a full size too large, like i suspected it would be. this order i was trying 36 bands since im having issues with 34s in some lines being too small, but i can safely say i should have sized down.

The cups don't lay flat in the lace portion for me, though i fill the cup and in fact seem to be slightly quadboobing in the material section of the larger breast, especially when i pull the band as tight as possible. it isnt terribly obvious, and if everything else was good i would probably band size down and call it a sucess.

the gore on this bra is my main issue- it is MURDER. not jut "this seems a bit pokey", but more like "if i sit still its very uncomfortable, if i bend down or sit down i think it will puncture my sternum." it isn't particularly high compared to bras ive tried before, so i can only guess it may have to do with the under wires as a whole being too narrow. before i scoop all the way, they press horribly on my sides, and once ive situated myself it, it seems my breast tissue wants to go over the under wires on the sides, its hard to explain and picture but ive tried. i think they force the wire a little wider than it's meant to be and they'd probably end up losing once i tried to wear it for real and the wires would pop back to their narrow design and cut in.

i haven't worn it for any period of time because the gore alone is too uncomfortable. i may try exchanging for a band size down and a cup up, but i think the shape of these wires is just wrong for me, they seem too narrow and U-shaped.

This bra fits well in wire width, bottom of cups and band length. Basically everything is good except the top of the cups, which are waaay too big. My boobs are wide-root, shallow, full on bottom. I usually wear a 28B in other brands.

I have an old Freya Polyanna, which is a similar-ish shape, both are unpadded. The Polyanna fits me after I altered the top of the cups by stitiching in a horizontal fold / pleat to the lace at the top of the cups, which brings the cup tops down by about 2cm. This doesn't work on the Faye, as I think it has taller cups than the Pollyanna.

My Polyanna does tend to dig in at the top of the gore a little bit after wearing all day, but it's not too bad. I think the Faye would have the same problem.
