PROS:
-Nice design and overall color combination.
-More flexible foam lining that does not feel like the traditional cardboard Deco. It compresses a lot better so in a way it almost feels like a spacer foam.
-No trim on the foam cups. The edge is serged and does not add bulk like the trim, and in comparison to Freya's current Deco styles, this edge is more flexible, better suited to those with fuller tissue. If you lack sufficient ... upper breast tissue this may be a problem.
-The lace is stretchy.
CONS:
-Poor concept of reducing the lining to a balcony, because your nipples pop out from the top. It is angled far too much for the overall look, so this is really like a plunging shelf bra with some lace slapped on top of it! The foam lining runs about 3 sizes too small.
-Band fits just a little bit large. This is a problem because I normally have take my 28's in.
-Cups are too far apart so this bra gives a tremendous East-West look! Not attractive!
-Straps are positioned too far apart. I have to pull them in toward my neck otherwise they slide off my shoulders.
-Gives a pointy look because the foam lining is sitting below the apex.
Overall:
I've been waiting for this to come out and I had really high expectations. Both with this bra and the matching slip, the foam is cut incorrectly. I've looked at stock photos from Freya and photos from other retailers and on blogs. Mine are different. The foam plunges way down and does not even touch the center gore where it is supposed to. Because of this, there is no coverage in the center. Stretch lace is not going to accommodate breast tissue very much, so why that alone is what's in the center...someone needs to smack Freya's designer! It may be noticeable in my photos, and I am indicating it with my fingers...my nipples are out over the foam, more so on my left (larger) breast than my right. The foam is not cut wide enough, as is notable by the 6.5" cup depth of the foam. I bought a larger cup size too. Normally a 28G in Freya is just a little large and in this style as well as the slip I am not even contained the slightest bit in the foam. I know this was not the way the design was supposed to work. In other photos the foam is straighter across, much like a Demi (half-cup). This is really like wearing a cup that's 3 sizes too small. The lace is purely decorative. And further on the lace...it is cut too tall for this cup. The cup depth with the lace is sufficient for it's size, but the height...it's just all wrong. Since it's so encasing over the chest, and because the cups are so far apart, it feels too large, there's too much connected with the straps and causes the top of the cups/straps to be very uncomfortable.
I think this will probably be a bra that is best suited to women with smaller, shallow, stiff boobs. Freya missed the mark big time for the fuller, softer and larger sizes.
I'll be sending these back.
