  1. Wide and shallow shape. I was hoping this would be perfect for me but I think it's actually a bit TOO shallow, the pulling is visible at the bottom of the cup. It feels very secure on though the far apart straps really push into my armpits. Other than that it's a great basic bra for the wide-root crowd.

Ahhh, the Freya Marvel...like a breath of fresh air for your boobs!! If only it fit me! I got this from another user as an exchange. I was looking for something soft, comfy, unpadded, but NOT sheer, and pretty supportive. I think the Marvel is exactly just that! Super soft and comfy, and I see it as being supportive in correct size.

I usually go with 28 bands but figured a 30 in Freya would work just as well. Not so much. The band on this isn't nearly as tight as other Freya 30 bands usually are. I had to hook it on the tightest hook and eye ... from the start and tighten the straps a good bit. Luckily, they are fully adjustable and thick as all Freya bras are.

I am not too crazy about the wires on this one. They were far too wide, which is odd because the measurements are exactly what I usually go with. But they ran all the way out to my sides under my armpits! For being a "Side Panel/Support" bra, I found it somewhat awkward. You can see in my pics, on my left smaller breast there is wrinkling under my arm in the side panel. But on my right larger breast you can see the clear definition of where my boob actually starts to fill out the cup and where there is empty fabric on the side, if that makes any sense. The cups were also rather short and I'm almost worried that if I go down in size my nipples will pop out. There was also a good half inch of empty space at the bottom of the cup before my boobs actually started to fill them out.

The gore on this bra is pretty high/tall compared to what I'm used to. But, surprisingly, it didn't really bother me. It tacked just right and fit quite nicely.

This isn't the sexiest, most flattering bra in my wardrobe. It's actually quite plain and simple (this is the nude colorway). But, after trying it on with a shirt, I was pretty darn amazed!! What a lovely shape!! This bra gives a wonderful, round, natural kind of shape...no pointy boobs at all!! Yay, unless you prefer that look. But I think the shape it gives under clothes makes up for the boring aesthetics of it all. I think this would make a great summer bra, nice and light, no bulkiness (the seams did show thru slightly, tho). This bra might not be good for FOB as there wasn't any real immediate projection and it seems like it may cause the top of the cup to wrinkle or gape.

  3. First of all, The cut of this bra is quite different from the usual Cleo balcony or Freya halfcup style. I like that!
The band is firm (nice surprise in a Freya bra), and the wires are quite wide and slightly stretch with the band.
The Marvel is comfy to wear and gives my wide root shallow boobs a nice rounded and centered shape - not quite as rounded and in-your-face upfront as a "Cleo George" style balcony - but sometimes I like it better this way.
The cups are open on top, but not as open as, say, Ewa Michalak's HM style. I have balanced fulness (neither FoT nor FoB) and it suits me well.

I get slight gaping at the center gore because I don't have a lot of projection there. I don't mind as it's not noticable under clothing and doesn't compromise the shape.

I tried both the glacier (white/mint) and black (with purple sprinkles) colorway and the measurements and fit are virtually identical.

  4. My breasts: FOB, conical, wide and tall root.

This bra fits me better than other Freya non-padded bras as it has wider wires, a firmer band, only vertical seams, and a more open top.

As others have said, it gives a round shape. And generally I like the look - I wasn't a big fan of it when I saw it on hangers, but its one of those times when trying something on changed my mind.

I'm not sure the side panel is necessary for me (or most breasts around my size) - it isn't taut near my armpit (but neither does it gape).

I thought that the wires were wide enough for me until I wore it through the day and realised it ended up on my breast tissue, so have since bent the wires and it's much better...

Edit - lost weight so now band and cup are too big.

    32H

    Didn't fit

I got this after trying the 30H. I sized up knowing a) the bra is not really suited to my shape, and b) I am not a 32H -- the band is too big (though in fairness the 30 was a little tight). So let's break this down.

For reference, these days I'm calling myself full on bottom, fairly narrow root, fairly close-set, LOTS of projection. The best fit I've found so far is the Cleo Marcie.

Pros--reasons I went with this bra knowing it wasn't a great fit:

-The shape is somewhat minimizing and uplifting on me, which means it's great for wearing under dresses without quite enough room in ... the bust--it minimizes and lifts enough for empire waists to fit under my breasts when normally they sit on the tissue somewhat.
-I wanted a nice nude bra
    -It's quite comfortable.
-Fabric is lovely and it looks pretty good.
Gore is fairly low on me and the tops are very open, which makes it great for anything low-cut

    Cons:

-Cups are way too wide for me -- unsurprising since I'm pretty narrow AND sized up.
-Cups are also quite shallow. There's about an inch of empty space in the bottom. The shape reminds me of how the Panache Harmony was on me, though it's much more comfortable than the Harmony, which my projected breasts distorted like crazy.
    -Straps are quite wide-set.
-The corollary to the low-cut pro is that I get a lot of bounce in the top of the cup because of all the exposed tissue.

These cons are shape-compatibility issues combined with the fact that I was forced to size up to 32H, since there's no 30HH. (strap-width and cup-width in particular). If you are full on bottom, narrow, and projected this is probably not the best bra for you. It is, however, the most comfortable shape-incompatible bra I've worn, and it looks really nice under clothes.

I don't really understand what's going on with the fit in this one... The tops of the cup gap, and they'd projecting my boobs forward, but instead of being really supported on the side they're sort of being made to hang towards the front. Very odd fit overall, with lots of space along the top-sides. I'm not sure what to make of it.
(note: as I wrote this while wearing it, I started to get back pain, so it's a no-go for me!)

My underarms hurt - especially the little spot right as it is going from the front of my chest to the actual armpit area. I get a bit of quad boob at the bottom and then it wrinkles some at the top. The cups are super wide. Also, the straps are wide on my shoulders, but I do have pretty narrow shoulders. I like the band stiffness (it's not too rigid or too soft). I do like the way it looks though (on me and like as a garment on a hanger).

I also have this in 28DD, and most of that review applies here as well.

    http://bra.pe/XIof/

Interestingly, 28E also fits, and I can't figure out if it's better or worse than 28DD. It's a bit more coverage than 28DD, and it does a better job of enclosing and smoothing the underarm jiggle. However, while it fits and supports, it isn't tight enough to lift and contribute to cleavage. I guess there's a tradeoff between underarm smoothing and lift?

I got close to returning this, but realized that this might be the slightly larger bra good for that time of the month.

This bra is really comfy, and gives a nice rounded shape. It reminds me of the Deco (on me) in a lot of ways - somewhat cleavagey/plungey, great shape, some side spill, gaping at the straps but larger boob quads right at the gore. I consider both still wearable for non-work activities. A size up may fix the center and side spill, but the strap gaping would intensify.. ick. Cups are certainly a little shallow but not by much. The underwires at the sides are quite low on me, they are lower than Deco and pretty much anything else I've ever tried.

This bra is considerably softer and ... more comfortable than the Deco. The underside of the straps (touching skin) is very soft, as are the cups. I don't normally consider comfort/softness, but this one stands out to me.

In person, I like Marvel less than in the model photos - there is no sheer mesh on top, instead there is fishnet-like mesh laid directly onto the cups. The purple polka dots are less impressive in my opinion - photos made me think of space, these are fairly basic by comparison. Not bad though.

I love the look/design of the Freya Marvel, but this was one of the strangest-fitting bras I have tried. Its wires are ridiculously wide, wider than the Freya half-cups, though actually not uncomfortable. However, such wide wires means the bra didn't do much for my side-heavy shape. It's got quite a lot of depth in the top half of the cup. However, the bottom of the cup is at least as shallow as the Freya half-cups if not more so, and my FoB soft breasts caused orange-in-a-glass effect almost immediately. When I tried sizing up to a 36G, there was no gain of depth in the bottom of the cup, only in the top half! This bra sadly didn't work for me, but I bet it would probably be good for FoT girls.
