This is the first bra that has come close to fitting - I have to buy all my bras online (live in Australia where there is a very, very limited selection in shops). I find that it fits well, but don't want to do a proper review until I've tested out other bras that fit me properly. I have a feeling that I could get a better shape and more comfortable material in another bra. If not, this one should suit as an everyday (but not longing around at home) bra.
Turned out to be a very supportive bra for me. The fit would be perfect if it wasn't for two things: 1) underwire is too short on the sides and pokes into breast tissue, so I can't wear it for long periods of time 2) tight stitches on the top of the bra give me some quadraboob effect, though not very noticeable
But since I'm not sure my boobs can fill a whole cup size larger, I'm not going to exchange it.
I like this bra mostly because its design, which is unique, must say. I love the colours! It was my first "correct size bra" and it was sooo much better than in my old 34DD. But compared to Ewa Michalak bra, lays this one now all the time in my closset. The fit is not bad, but i would prefer the cups more close together, to lay my boobs more to the centre. It makes a narrow line. The underwires end in the back side little too low. The bra is slightly padded, very thin.
One of my better Freya bras, though this does (like Arabella) have a slight tendency to make the boobs look a bit pointy - the cups are long and deep, rather than wide.
The fabric is lovely and very comfortable - the quality can't be argued with. There's very little digging in with wear and the little bit of stretch makes it fit really well - the straps in particular feel nice.
The print is much nicer in real life than it looks in the photos, a lovely winter floral with blue and orange. I got this with the thong bottoms which are also surprisingly nice, I'd go for briefs normally but had a bit of a change and was glad I did!
This is such a comfy everyday bra for me. I have a small frame and a full bust which I had been measured on the high street as being a UK size 32E/F. I eventually went to Bravissimo and came home with a Freya Deco in nude in the size 30F. After a while wearing the Deco I found I was still 'jiggling' and pulling the band down at the front a bit during the day and so I tried on a 28G. Fits like a glove! I rarely need to rearrange my girls during the day now. I love the lined cups, I really don't like to feel my boobs during my working day nor do I want them to swing or bobble around, which would be inappropriate in my line of work. The Freya Deco and Carly are perfect moulded and supportive bras and I'm likely to buy more of the same. Happy bunny me.
When I first wore this, it seemed to fit and I raved about it, but after a few more wears it just didn't seem right. Maybe I've lost weight since I first tried it. I find a lot of Freya bras give a really pointy shape - the cups are too deep and not wide enough and I end up with an odd fit.
The front also comes up very high at the sides, not uncomfortably so, but it looks a bit odd. I'm also not 100 sold on the sheerness of this style - nips ahoy!
All in all, not the best Freya style for me. I'll stick to my glorious Deco!
You could try to go down a band size, and maybe a cup up, but in the way that you end up with the same cup volume but wider wire. I managed to do that, somewhat incidentally - instead of 32E I wear 30FF. At first I thought about 32F, but it turned out they have the same wires, just deeper cups. I guess you could try 32E or F.
Also, Arabella is not a real plunge, it's something between balconette and plunge, so yeah - it's not supposed to show as much as for example Deco or Retro. Another thing with Arabellas is that they have unnecessary ribbon sewn at the edge of the cups (underneath). Those ribbons are not elastic and often too short and they make the edge of cup to dig in even if the cup is ok. There is a simple solution, it can be removed with no harm for the bra, you just have to undo the seams from that ribbon. The cups lay much better after that and some people claim that the embroidery look better, too.
I wouldn't recommend this bra if you are my size or close because it is a bit small on the cups. The wire hurts on the bottom part and the center gore does not lay flat to my chest.
It does lift my boobs but when I take it off you can see the little squares all over your boobs. I usually wear loose clothes so I couldn´t tell if the bra´s texture shows through.
Very comfortable. My favourite bra. Nice rounded shape with some uplift. Spills out of the sides a little. Straps unravel after a few washes(maybe 15-20).
I received it just before my period, so perhaps not the best time to judge the fit, as it gives me slight but present quad-boob effect. But overall, comfortable and pretty, very girly bra, though much sheerer than the bras I usually wear.
Band is too big for me. Probably need 28F. Otherwise it's one of the best bra's I've come across https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
This is a sturdy bra. Supportive, gives a great shape under clothes. Probably the bra that fits me best as of today (although it wrinkles a bit at the top of the cup), but don't wear it often as I don't like how it looks (I like lacier things and pretty patterns). Plus the top part of the straps are not elastic at all, so they sometimes tend to slip off.
Seriously gorgeous bra. Smooth, satiny material. I wanted to keep it, but it was way too big in the cups. While the 28F Deco fits well in strapless, I think I must be a 28E in most Freyas.
Not rated well because it did not fit. If I had this bra in the correct size, it would be excellent across the board.
Based on your profile, it looks like you're waiting on the 26" Loran from the big bra bar site - which cup size did you order? I'm still on the fence as to whether the 26FF would fit me, or if I need a 26F (which they aren't offering yet)
Thanks for asking, and good luck tracking down the Crystal - it's gorgeous and I wish it had fit me.
Aww, thanks anyways. I didn't know you could trade non-yarn related items there, cool! I got the G cup but I'm not sure how that brand fits compared to others. Freya I take F, Panache an FF, and Fantasie a 30E/DDD. I think you're about a cup smaller than me based on the bras between us, so perhaps try the 26FF. I know a lot of the sizes got wiped out pretty quickly. As of the 9th they had 1 26FF left, though no gaurantees it's still available. Hopefully they make more! Thank you for the link as well! =) (Sorry if this got posted twice, IE had a problem and I don't know what happened to the other comment I left)
Come check out the Bust Line group - http://www.ravelry.com/groups/the-bust-line A few of us tried the grab bags at breakout bras a few months ago and the ones that didn't work wound up on the for sale/ trade thread. I was able to swap out the ones that didn't work for me for yarn.
I have a 30F listed for sale that would probably fit you (band runs snug, cups one size too big for me) but if you've got the Loran on the way, it's probably too similar of a look (sexy and royal blue) for you to consider it. I'm planning to order the Loran if I can sell this one - it seems silly since it doesn't fit, but it seems wrong to order more as long as it's hanging around, ha ha It sounds like the 26FF would probably be the right size for me, though.
That's a really pretty bra. I will have to pass though. The cup depth is listed as 8" (and I've seen another 30F in that brand with a smaller cup depth). I need between 8.75 to 9" for a depth (8.5 at the very least, but that only gets worn when I've had no salt or water, lol). Thank you though. I hope you're able to find a buyer/trader for it.
Thanks for looking! I'm impressed that you know and understand exactly what measurements work for you - I still have a lot to learn about bra sizing and fitting!
Very comfortable and well finished bra. Cups in gorgeous Caramel shade enlightened by small light pink and brownish pattern , which doesn not show under clothes. Same pattern but ticket fabric for bands. Nice shape and overall a food fitting. True to size - i have a problem with cups but it' s my wrong - should have picked a E instead!
This is my current favorite! I originally bought this bra because I needed something nude-colored. This one is great - the cups are deep and a little narrow, which suits my shape well. The center gore can dig in from time to time since my sternum curves a little bit right at the top of the gore (which is 6.7cm high). As one who really needs a sub-28 band, I've found this bra to be sufficiently firm around the band. Ever so slight quad-boob on the bigger side, but other than that the cups are smooth underneath tops and the nude color is a slightly darker shade that suits my olive complexion - nothing shows through.
The good thing about this bra is that its a strapless I can wear (!) and have some much needed support. The bad thing is that it doesnt fit as well without straps as it does with. There isnt as much support as I would like, the shape is downsloping. The top of the cup is full and there isnt quadboobing but there is a good deal of breast at the top that just isnt contained, as well the bottom of the cup seems to fold over and crease. The back fits well and stays where it should, overall it works but it isnt perfect.
Soft comfortable bra, good for all day wear. The pattern doesnt really show through clothing and the straps are nice and wide so they dont dig in. Offers moderate support, but at the end of the day it can feel as though it is trying to pull my breasts into my armpits
Comfy bra, nice feel, one of the better ones ive found. Purchased this about 6 months ago, still fits well - although it is not quite the right size for me - as ive since been measured and have a better fitting Freya bra - this one still does the job. Pokes a little under the arms, can stretch out quite well, and is gorgeous material https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
As soon as I put it on, I liked it. It doesn't show through my ribbed tank top, both in color and texture. I have a rounded shape that is true to size (unlike my Deco, which I feel adds two cups), the wires and band fit me well. Also, the single layer of sheer mesh will be welcome ventilation in the summer months, especially since it doesn't seem to lack in structure. The single layer also means that the seams are less visible than with other Freyas with satin or double layer mesh. With both the Zara and the Eloise, the mesh is somewhat open--the holes are ...maybe ~1mm--and that makes me think they'll be itchy. But everything else about it, I like.
Update, months later: It's been pointed out to me that the wires are too wide, or the band's too wide. Either way, it's too big. This makes sense, as the cup slumps off my breast when I loosen the straps all the way. I am more likely than not to end the day with some back pain. The very slight quadraboob is probably a result of the cut not quite meshing with my breasts.
The bra is good enough, but I'm looking for better ones. Read more 99 more words
While this bra doesn't fit me still wear it as the quad boob I get is between the cups rather than at the top of the cups. The band on the Deco is definitely looser than on other Freya bras I own and my breasts have a tendency to start sliding below the band if I don't wear this one on the innermost (smallest) hooks. Beyond that the bra gives a great profile and cleavage. Even though the cups are too small I never feel like I am going to spill out of them.
