After a short time the side support wires dig in causing pain. I've learned to live with it as it was my 1st 'you've found the correct size so walk out of the store wearing it-bra'.. Freya pieced bras like this one do not shape me well enough for everyday wear. Unfortunately, it has been relegated to wear only on off days doing chores.
Feb 7, 2012 - I am happy to report that I personally fitted a friend into 3 of my bras, that went unworn by me for well over a year each! They have now found a happy home. :) She fit:
** She reports this Freya to be her best overall fit. Although the other bras tried out were Freya's Leona 30FF Balcony http://bra.pe/Mci/, Cleo's Alex 30G Plunge http://bra.pe/MhX/, they did not work for her.
The material is very light, but quite strong. Underwires are a bit low under the arms, not a huge deal though. Narrow underwires like most freyas, tight back, but fairly stretchy. My breasts were very "front and centre", out of the way of my ribcage. Recommend!
Band fits perfect, nice and snug. Hope it doesn't stretch out too much over time. The straps were a bit scratchy at first, may have had them too tight. After loosening it's not rubbing as badly. May soak them in conditioner when I get around to washing it.
This bra is very comfortable and supportive. If my breast size were to increase at all, I'd probably spill out the top. A 30F also fit well, but I like the shape and cleavage the 30E gives me better. I notice that the 30F also gives me coverage that looks more similar to what I see in the model/catalog pictures.
This is the best bra I have own so far. My breast looks smaller but higher and like I've lost weight. The shape is a bit pointed, and the material is totally unlined and my breasts are round so I had a little trouble at first filling it out, but after about a half hour of wear my boobs settle in nicely. I've had it for over 3 months and still haven't had to tighten the band from the loosest hook. One "con" the wire has left a small red bruise on the outside of each boob but I don't feel it, but it doesn't look great, but i have huge boobs for my body size, so it's a small price to pay for support!
This is the most beautiful bra I've yet encountered. The cups fit me nicely though I should have bought a 28G, the band is too big for me. It's not padded, not even lightly, though it says so in the description. There exists a padded version of this bra.
Drawback: gives vintage-y cone shape. Still to beautiful to resist, though!
(The model is the same as the newer Keisha Crystal Plunge Balcony Bra, the difference is only in the colour of the fabric.)
Pretty bra (te material is wonderful), but not for my rounded, wide-rooted shape. I can can't seem to accomodate it properly. It wrinkles a tiny bit at the cup but overspills when I inhale deeply or stretch my back. Also leaves red marks between my close breasts due to high wires, though band size is correct. So, not for my shape but definitely a good bra. I'm on my second hand-wash and have seen no ageing.
I fasten the band on the middle hook because the loosest hook is to loose. It does not give me quad boobs and has my breasts rounded and uplifted. I LOVE IT
This bra is quite a bit too big for me in the cup and slightly too big in the band. There's quite a bit of empty space and wrinkling at the top of the cup, and I could fasten the band easily at the tightest setting. If it were the right size, I think it would be comfortable.
Also not big on the cutesy roses. But that's just my taste https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Meh. This was my first Freya, and it's just okay. I really don't wear it anymore. The cups used to pinch (quadraboob) and now they are too loose. I think the non-stretchy fabric of the cups is not very forgiving to shape/size changes. Also gives me a pointy shape.
great bra, I really love it! Really nice shape ob the boobs and nice cleavage! The support is also great. Unfortunately also this bra is too small for my left breast at the end of my cycle, just before the menses. I will need a 32FF Deco for this time.
Bra tends to be bigger in the cup, so take one cup size smaller than your normal size.
This is one of my favourite plunges -- it creates fantastic cleavage and is very comfortable! I've been wearing it (cycling in and out) for a couple of months, and it's still in great shape.
Band is a bit too loose, I wear it on the tightest hook. Cups are shallow, but I guess this was the intention, because of that the bra gives a great shape and is perfect for low neckline tops. Straps are far too wide. The bra is plain, it does have the 'retro' look. Wires stiff, don't stretch.
Super comfortable, beautiful shape. But the band is a bit big, even though I bought a bigger band size upon the recommendation of a fitter on a shopping website. I could have just stayed in my normal band size and gone up a cup.
1. I have in black - it's one of the most beautiful bras, I tried, I love even the straps (they are comfortable, not so wide straps are not always so comfortable). 2. For me, the size is "small" 30f, the band is normal (fine, "working" with the body). 3. It's a plunge bra, but for my "close together" boobs, the wires in the centre are still to long.
