Bought this used off Ebay. It is perfect for my heavy-on-bottom breasts. It is just a tiny bit loose in the lace on top but barely noticeably and certainly not visibly through a shirt, and it gives a GREAT shape.
Aesthetically I was dubious about the flower pattern but it's not too bad and it's pretty good as a black bra. The shoulder straps are extremely wide but are also fully adjustable, which is great.
Found this at Nordstrom Rack for a crazy price, would've never thought to try a 32, but I grabbed it because I was trying to narrow down my Freya sizing to order a swimsuit online and they didn't have any 34H/HH's on the shelf. This fits very close! Because of the stretchy band, a 32 is my perfect band size in this bra. I'm full on top and there is no issues with spillage. The only issues I'm noticing is it is not as stiff as everything else I own and the top of the gore sits about a pinkie's distance from my sternum. Because of the lack of stiffness it feels crazy comfortable though; just doesn't give quite the support of my Andorra.
Overall appearance (Crème Caramel): it's a plane-Jane bra dressed up for the dance. Cute detailing, smooth mesh-y lace tops, printed lower cups make it a pretty basic but nothing that will "wow" you. Other than the single seam, it is smooth under a polyester running top, no signs of the lace poke through.
I gambled on this bra on eBay since my Antionette 32H fits well in the band but is a cup size too small. This 32 is much tighter than the Antionette; I would need an extender. It probably is true to size (I measure 32-33.5 depending on the time of day and mood of the tape measure). The cups technically "fit" in that I couldn't go down a size, but the wires are so wide it borders on ridiculous.
I think this style is just not a good fit for my shape and I don't care for so much coverage. Otherwise, ...it would be a nice staple.
So, the good: The fabrics are pleasant in texture and appearance; the small greyish-blue flowers on the black base are cute & subtle. The straps are on the wide side but decorative, comfy & fully adjustable. The band has 3 hooks. I find the contrasting lace edgings along the outside of cups and bottom band to be attractive, but many people would be sensitive to the irritation they would cause. I think it would be smooth under even thin/close-fitting clothing.
The bad (for me): The lace upper panel in this size is no longer an accent; it becomes weight-bearing and is unwieldy to look at in the larger cup sizes. The wires are entirely too wide, unless perhaps, the wearer had very widely rooted or migrated boobs to reign in. The gore is very high - this is not a balcony by any definition I have. The stabilizing ribbon stitched along the tops of the cups would cut in to boobs that were fuller on top. The wire channels near the wings have about 3/4" more fabric than wire, which causes pulling at those spots and can result in premature wear. The too-short wire (or too tall wing) is a problem my Cleo's have, as well. It makes me wonder if they ran out of longer wires, or if it is intentional for some reason.
In summary: Not for me. Now I know. Read more 246 more words
This bra is gorgeous. The magenta color looks amazing with the turquoise and navy accents. At first glance it almost looks like the colors clash, but it really does look interesting and fun.
However, the matching shorts aren't the same exact shade of magenta, which made me a little uncomfortable to keep this as a set.
The bra didn't fit anyway, so there were no further questions on whether or not I should return it. The band felt nice and snug, but the cups were just way too small. In fact, they were the smallest Freya cups I have tried to date. I had severe quadraboob in this bra. I usually have issues with straps being too far apart on bras as well, but this one didn't seem as bad as some others. I like how the straps are wider.
The shape was rather pointy as well, and I'm learning that's just how Freya bras are. I may try this again in a larger size and hopefully find some matching shorts that are actually the same color.
I REALLY wanted this to work. I have been looking online for a soft cup bra -- not because I'm pregnant, just because I want a comfy bra to wear around the house in the evenings and on the weekends (I can't stand wearing underwired bras all day long).
Well, this one was just okay. My main complaints were that the center gore didn't lay flat and my boobs still touched in the middle, and the shape was not as uplifted as the picture (in fact, my breasts were pointed downwards, something I had never experienced before!) If it weren't for the downward pointing shape, I could have lived with the fact that my breasts still touched in the middle. I'm not sure if a larger cup size would have made a difference or not. I adjusted the straps unreasonably tight just to see if it helped, and it didn't.
Other than that, it's pretty cute for a soft cup bra. Just didn't work for me.
The band fits perfectly, and this is the first bra I've ever tried where I wasn't spilling out of the tops of the cups. The wires sit nicely as well.
However, the shape is a little too separated and pointy for my taste. Also, the straps are just entirely too far apart. They're so far that the edge of the cups rubs against my arms because of how I have to push the straps inward to keep them on my narrow shoulders. Other than that, I could have lived with the shape because of how comfortable the bra is in other ways, but I just can't handle the pressure against my arms due to the straps.
Overall, the bra fits perfectly. Unfortunately, it's not quite my style. It gave me (what I felt were) overly pointy boobs, minimized them, and seem to pull them off to the side. That being said, it's a gorgeous looking bra, but my breast shape and the cup shape just didn't work to my liking. The band fits perfectly, even on the tightest hook; the cups are a perfect fit, and the straps aren't too tight. Like I said, the only flaw was the overall shape the bra gave to my breasts.
I'd like to explain my ratings. Quality is 'excellent' because the bra is well constructed and, even on the tightest hook, there is no sign of the hooks being pulled. I rated comfort 'good' because I was not comfortable with the shape, but the bra itself is actually really comfortable to wear. The appearance of the bra is rated 'good' because the bra is absolutely gorgeous, but it's the shape that isn't so hot.
