This bra is a personal miracle. I happened to pick one up while I was in England and I bought two more before I came home. It's a perfect fit; I fill the cups just fine (I almost never fill in the top), and because they curve in at the tops, there is no line in my t-shirts (a miracle, I say). There's also zero chance of show-through (a miracle). I never thought I would find a strapless bra that would both fit and stay put, but here it is; there's a rubber strip around the outside edges that keeps it nice and snug.
My only complaint is that this bra isn't really comfortable. The band feels a little tight, and it leaves wicked imprint lines at the end of the day; I look forward to taking it off, but it looks fantastic and feels so secure that I rarely wear any other bras these days. It's done wonders for my self-esteem.
I tried this bra on very quickly in Debenhams, but wanted to leave at least a brief review because few of this brand are reviewed here. I was looking for a balcony/balconette bra since I am high-set and so far only balconettes/half cups have worked for me. I liked the black pattern with the floral print. Although the wires were too wide for me, I found that this bra fit very similarly to my Freya Patsy padded half cups. The material is similarly padded for modesty and it gave a decent shape, not too pointy or east-west. Although the department store price is *okay*, I didn't think it the build quality was worth it. It felt like a cheaper, scratchier version of Patsy. I think the G cup ran true, but it seemed slightly small on my larger size causing some quadding, probably due to it being a tad more shallow at the bottom of the cup and too wide for me. I was in a rush, so I didn't get to take any pics in the dressing room.
I got this bra ages ago, and either never wore it or wore it once. I'd intended to return it, but I forgot. It didn't fit well when this was supposed to be my size, and it definitely doesn't fit now. The centre gore sits on my breast tissue, creating a big gap between it and my chest. The cups fit funny, kind of quad-boobing and just not sitting quite right. I noticed when I was stretching the band to measure it, the cups tried to stretch before the band did, which worries me.
Overall it's a really nice bra. It's made out of a very soft cotton (tag says: 91% cotton, 5% polyamide, 4% elastane). The cup is a little small for my bigger breast (which is the breast I measured for this site), but it fits my smaller breast perfectly. Even though it's listed as a 30G the original owner had put it in the washer so it fits much more like a 26GG/28G in my opinion.
I am a fairly even and projected breast shape. I have average-to-narrow roots with a slight omega shape. My best fitting bra is a Cleo Lily in 28GG, though I think a 30G would be more comfortable in terms of band length.
This bra would be better for someone who is a bit shallower and a little wider than I am - I get a lot of quad-boob at the top of the cups. The cups were also a bit wide for me initially, ...but I bent the wires to try to make them a little narrower and give me more projection, with mixed success. Given the shape, I feel like it might actually work well for me in a 30GG/H, which I certainly would not be opposed to trying.
I feel like the top of the cup is a little too "squared-off" and angular, particularly on top, for my shape, though this is in part because I have too much tissue there and am probably distorting the cups a bit.
The bra's design has a nice, simple, almost country aesthetic to it. I really like pairing it with some of my more "rustic" loose summer shirts! The white cotton cups and the blue ribbon aren't overly in your face, but they're attractive in a quiet manner. The cups are made of thick, durable cotton that's pleasant against the skin. This is a deep plunge which gives butt-crack clevage! It is a little wide (6") but i think that for special occasions this really is something special https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
This is a balconette shaped bra from Debenham's Gorgeous range. It is cyan/sea green in colour with black polka dots printed onto the fabric. At the top of the cups there are two rows of black and sea green lace.It has polka dot bows on the central gore and on both straps where the cups meet the straps. It has a partial band which is edged with black lace at the bottom.
I'm still on the fence with this one. It's snug for a 30 band, but I would say it's closer to a 28G than a 30G in comparison to some of my other bras. I have another Gorgeous that I adore for how comfortable and beautiful it is. This one is a bit too small in the cup on my larger side, which is not a surprise I guess. A 30GG would probably be a better fit in this for me, but it depends on the the day too. It is comfortable, gives a good amount of lift and support. It's not my favorite, but it is really pretty and has potential I think.
I was very hesitant to pick this bra up, but the beautiful purple color won me over. It's actually one of my more comfortable bras. I can wear it easily under heavier t-shirts or patterned shirts without the detailing on the cups showing through. It gives a good lift and overall appearance and fits very well. The color is just amazing, a smoky purple that I just love. I would definitely buy more of this one!
