This is a great neutral colored bra, without too much lace and gives more of a rounded (vs. pointy) shape when worn under clothes. The 30D was way too small in the cup - I had so much spillage in the armpit area and needed to size up to a 30DD. This style is great for someone with a similar shape to me - wide-set, with lots of tissue in the armpit area, and shallow. I'll be listing this one for sale because it's like new and would be better suited with someone who will wear it vs. having it just take up drawer space at my home.
I am 5'1" with small, sloping shoulders, east-west breast tissue that is mostly in my armpits, and noticeable asymmetry due to having tuberous breasts.
After this particular bra in a 30DD didn't work out, I searched the internet for a 30D. (This was supposed to be my birthday gift, but ended up being very belated!) It was a gamble because I wasn't sure if the 30DD was due to a shape mismatch or was legitimately too big for me.
All I have to say is "oh, wow!" This is a positive exclamation that translates roughly to "where did these boobs come from?!" I have never witnessed such ...projection or lift in my life. I'll probably look ridiculous doing so, but I really want to wear this bra even while doing mundane things like running errands, because I feel like a million bucks.
The 30DD which is no longer in my possession did not have removable pads. The 30D, however, has removable pads.
I'm so happy that the 30D worked out. This is my first longline style bra and my theory is that due to not being very tall, that I may need to size down to get the proper fit. Read more 94 more words
This was one of the new bras that fit me so nicely! The gore is perfect for me, as I don't like high gores or their stabby effects on my sternum. Although I believe my breasts are splayed in a way, this bra brought what I needed in appearance while maintaining comfort. The lace material is nice against the skin.
Really cute option, but the cups are SUPER wide set due to the front fastening. It doesn't bother me too much as it's quite a soft/flexible cup and doesn't give my bust amazing cleavage - out of a bra my bust is quite East-West, so it kind of works for me with a more natural shape.
I think this bra is a shape mismatch for me. There's wrinkling at the apex (very close to where the straps meet the cup). After swooping and scooping, all of my tissue is in the cup and stays there. I'm guessing I'm too wide-set, east-west, or don't have the right fullness for this bra. It's too bad because this is actually a Gossard 30DD that makes me look rounder vs. pointier. And red is one of my favorite colors (second only to purple).
For reference, I'm 5'1" and have mildly tuberous breasts, which are uneven in size and placement on my chest wall. My tissue is wide-set and shallow.
For reference, I am petite (5'1"), with a wide-set and shallow shape. I found the quality of this bra to be inferior in comparison to other Gossard styles. It was how the stitching felt and the feel of the wire and cups on my body - it felt a little flimsier or not as well constructed. The bra itself does give me a nice, rounded shape and centers my tissue. I like the black and nude pattern - it's a nice upgrade from a basic black bra.
For reference, I am petite (5'1") with shallow, tuberous, and wide set breast tissue.
I love this bra design and colorway - it reminds me of a 1920s Art Deco/Flapper Era style.
Due to the ruffles in front, this bra creates the illusion of more immediate projection - which is a big plus for me! One noteworthy thing about this bra for me is the wire shape. It looks more like a "Nike swoosh" vs. a U or crescent shape, which I think is helpful for my shape and frame. The bra is comfortable enough to wear all day.
I have wrinkling in the sheer fabric towards the center of the cups. It's more pronounced on my smaller breast. Does anyone know whether the wrinkling is due to asymmetry or if it's because the cup size in general isn't right for me?
For reference, I am petite (5'1") with slightly tuberous breasts that sag, are far apart from one another, and moderately shallow.
Balcony style bras are usually always a shape mis-match for me. Not only is the gore usually too high, but the cups usually gap up top. Because Gossard bras seem to fit a shallow shape best and they work well for me, I decided to try this bra and figured I could return it if it didn't work out.
She's a keeper though! I was really surprised that I was able to fill out the cups and that it was comfortable enough to wear all day long. I think the band on this Gossard style is stretchier than others because I haven't had it for that long and I'm already using the center hook.
For reference, I am petite (5'1") with a wide set and shallow shape. I sized up to a 30DD - the cup coverage is definitely better (not as much spillage by my armpits) but I also don't get as much lift as I did with the 30D. I suppose this is a trade-off. This bra is comfortable enough to wear all day.

For reference, I am petite (5'1") with a wide-set and shallow shape. I was really surprised how well this bra was able to gather me in towards center and give me some lift. It's comfortable enough to wear all day. I don't get the pointy look with this bra the way that I have with other Gossard styles. The print is very pretty - a black, dark pink, and red floral pattern. I had to size up to the 30DD because I have some side spillage around the armpits.
I am impressed with what this bra is able to accomplish: gather my wide set, shallow breasts towards center (narrowing the finger gap between my breasts) and lift me up.
Under clothing, this bra makes my breasts look a little too pointy for my liking.
The black lace overlay obstructs the electric blue fabric, but the blue color really pops. I really like the combination of colorways with this particular bra.
I feel like I've been bamboozled! I've been doing non-padded Gossard 30DDs and decided to try the "padded" version. My 30Ds had removable inserts but to my surprise, the 30DDs do not. Apparently I didn't get the memo that when you're a DD, you don't need removable inserts anymore. *eyeroll* The lack of padding in the 30DD also makes me look a lot pointier than the 30D did. The construction of the seams doesn't help, either. I understand that this is a larger cup size and needs to be constructed a particular way but it's very interesting how drastic the overall fit ...and look is when going up one size.
The cup coverage and wire length on the 30DD is much better than the 30D (no spillage). What I noticed about the 30DD is that the straps are much wider than the 30D. The straps are too wide for my shoulders and keep twisting, or I have to keep pulling them up closer to my neck before they twist and end up at the very edge of my shoulders. It seems like the manufacturers of bras seem to think that once you reach a certain size, you're also super-tall. I'm 5'1" and did not have this issue with the 30D but it is an issue with the 30DD.

The Gypsy 30D has removable inserts but the 30DD does not. I don't know why bra manufacturers have decided that if you wear a DD, you don't need removable inserts anymore. *eyeroll*
What I noticed about the 30DD (I own a 30D in another color) is that the wings come up much higher into my armpits. The wires are an ok length and there's no digging, but there's some extra fabric that gets itchy and uncomfortable if I wear this all day. If I were to guess, manufacturers of bras also assume that a larger bra size is worn by a taller person. It seems to be an ongoing theme with any of these "high apex" style plunges, regardless of the manufacturer.
I like the lift that this bra gives me and it also gathers all of my tissue and centers me nicely. For reference, I am shallow and very wide-set. I really liked the way that this bra looked when I was wearing a cotton/jersey casual dress. It balanced me out on the top to make my figure look more like a true hourglass. It was comfortable enough to wear all day.
In comparison to the 30D in this design (Rhapsody), the 30DD makes me look more pointy. I'm wondering if this is a construction issue as the cup gets larger and how the cups are sewn.
I am petite (5'1"), and have shallow, wide-set breast tissue that is slightly tuberous.
For a bra that has absolutely no padding whatsoever, I'm pleasantly surprised with the projection and lift that I get. This was the first non-padded Gossard Superboost style that I tried and I was in shock and awe. The band fits perfectly, but I'm having a bit of armpit tissue spillage on both sides which means I need to go up a cup size. When I'm wearing a shirt, I find that the overall look that this bra gives me is a little pointier than I would prefer.
I have narrow roots and immediate projection. I’m also close and high set. This bra was much too shallow for me, the wires were very wide, and the straps were also surprisingly wide set for a 28FF. Because of the shallowness, I had a lot of center spillage. There was so much center spillage, in fact, that I couldn’t evaluate the gore (it just sat on tissue).
Much to my dismay, my Gypsy 30D had removable inserts but the 30DD does not. Apparently I didn't get the memo that when you're a DD, you don't need removable inserts anymore. *eyeroll* The lack of padding in the 30DD makes me look a lot pointier than the 30D did.
The cup coverage and wire length on the 30DD is MUCH better than the 30D (no armpit spillage); this is an improvement. What I noticed about the 30DD (same for the other Gossard styles) is that the straps are much wider than the 30D. The straps are too wide for my shoulders and keep twisting. It seems like the manufacturers of bras seem to think that larger bra size equals more height. I'm 5'1" and did not have this issue with the 30D but it is an issue with the 30DD.
I'm not sure if this is perception or reality, but the wires on the Gypsy bra feel shorter than the Superboost bra. I find that I have more armpit tissue spillage with Gypsy than Superboost and that the wires don't have as much underarm coverage or reach. I'm pleasantly surprised by how much of a lift I get from this bra. I think the plunge style in general is suitable for my figure and shape since I have such wide roots, trend more towards shallow, and my fullness is even (or maybe slightly more on bottom, but not by very much). I am going to size up to a 30DD and see if the wires are any better.
I'm pleasantly surprised by how much lift and firmness this bra gives me. Due to the structure of the bra (unlined), it makes the unevenness in the size and position of my breasts more pronounced, but that's to be expected. I have more of a pointy look than I anticipated with this bra, even under clothing. Because I almost always have "headlights," this bra is strictly for lounging around at home and not for wearing at work or anywhere in public. It's very comfortable; my only thought is that I think I could either use a slightly bigger cup or slightly wider wire (especially on the right side - my larger breast), because there is some pressure in my armpit after wearing for several hours.
