I am invited to a wedding this Sunday and I am planning to wear this wonderful dress but I have not found the best bra to wear. I have tried to the hack showing in the picture for my body kiss push-up bra 112701-021 The band is showing ): Any idea? If it really is visible in real life... An Oscars-night trick is to sew contoured bra cups into the dress and use double sided tape to, er, secure the cups to your boobs. It looks like you have a number of bras that maybe don't fit ideally so perhaps this is a worthy cause to sacrifice one of them...
Thanks. Yes I think I would buy a cheap contoured bra and sew the cups to it. BTW I was wearing the dress without any bra. The hack I did with the pink bra doesn't work at all
Oh right OK. There are backless bustier type bras out there too, but I don't know if they would work here--the dress looks like it is open all the way to the natural waist.
A special thanks to wendybien. I sacrificed one of my bras and sewed into the dress. It worked!!! OMG!!!! I can't believe it. I look wonderful and I am prepared for the wedding ceremony!
Very exciting! Glad I could be of assistance. That is a really glamorous dress. I'm sure you'll feel like a rock star!
Hm, after seeing your picture of the bra under the shirt, I can't help but noticing that the wire or band appears to be jutting very far out from your chest and through the shirt. While the band feels too tight, it's probably because the cups are much too small. The band actually would be much too big if your breasts can push the wires so far out from your chest. The wires should have full contact with your chest under and around your breasts. Of course, if that is just a fold in your shirt, then I could be wrong. :) But if that IS the wire sticking out, then definitely try several cup sizes larger and at least one band size smaller. I do see that you say the cups are too wide on the side, so it could be that the bra cups are too shallow and wide for you. First try sizing up in cups and down in band, and if the cups are still too wide, you'll probably have to try a different brand that has more narrow and projected cups. :)
Thanks dear for the comment. This is not definitely the best model for me and I recall also there was no 36DD in the store but this is what happens when you want to buy something you like no matter what :) It is a shame because I do like this bra a lot. Thanks anyway.
This is my second most comfortable bra. The straps are a bit wide set, but they decoratively split in two near the cup, so I moved half the strap to the center seam and now they don't fall down. Decent! I am surprised I'm happy with the gore since it seems pretty tall, but the underwires are flat, so I think that helps. I like the wide band with 3 hooks, I think it has better longevity than 2-hook bras I've owned. If I found another one of these, I would get it. I traded bras for it with someone online years ago, didn't wear it for quite while (it smelled strongly of perfume or detergent), but years later the smell is gone and it's a great find.
Got it off the "Last One!" shelf at work. Thought I've grabbed a 30FF, and boy was I disappointed. The cups are shallow but well constructed, similar in shape to Panache Zara. Band is true to size.
The bra is perfect for any of those little weird bridesmaid's dresses. When i first wore it was a little tight but as i got used to it i realized it was more stable than other strapless bras i've tried (less bouncy bounce). I think it is probably one of the more unique and sexy bras i own by far!
Note on the pictures: For some reason the front cam and back cam on my phone don't pick up colour the same way to the point that the "bra only" pictures look like a completely different bra than the pictures with me wearing it. I swear it's the exact same one and it is in fact purple, not blue. Anyway, this bra is very soft with extremely comfortable padding and convertible straps. It was my favourite bra for years and the band has stretched out so much there's hardly even enough tension for the back to ride up, unless I wear it as a T back. This bra is a little older than the other Body Kiss I have in navy; it seems to be a slightly different shape because unlike the other one, the cups on this never cut in.
First strapless bra I ever bought, was tight enough on the tightest hook for all of one day. Wearing it after that required constant hiking up if I didn't want it to drift down to my hips. I've since altered the band; it is now again tight enough on the tightest hook, nice and grippy but not painfully so. After properly scooping and swooping for the first time though, it suddenly became very obvious that the cups are actually way too small. The padding takes up too much room where my boobs want to be, pushing them out of the top of the cup. Hence, I would say ...this bra, in its current state, fits like a 30B. It must be said that the band, with its 3 hooks, seamless interior, and lack of boning, is a million times more comfortable than the Deco Strapless. It has a loop on each cup and two in the back for attaching straps. If the cups fit me, this would still be my go to. Unfortunately this bra is discontinued, otherwise I would buy it in 32C and alter the band again. Read more 81 more words
very soft, extremely comfortable padding and fabric. convertible straps can be worn as a racer or halter. the band is way too loose for me. cups are the right size but not the right shape, cutting in too sharply at the top.
I love the way the bra looks, but it definitely doesn't fit me. It has black lace and a bit of padding, but unfortunately I'm going to have to return/exchange it because with my measurements, the wire digs in and sits too low. That's a mistake in sizing on my end rather than in the construction of the bra itself, though.
The name of this model is Perfectly Me (23226). This is a halter strap bra. I have a bluish purple bra and a red bra. I wish the strap were normal because I don't usually like having anything on my neck. The bottom of the cups are too shallow for me and the side wires are a little short for my taste.
Where did you find this La Senza bra in a 30 band?!?!? I can't seem to find them anywhere! ....I'm tempted to buy this from you...the measurements seem to fit me...but you look soo much bigger than me....
A nice, sexy, lacy bra. I wish my shape would allow me to pull it off, but it simply isn't going to happen. It gaps at the top. Band is quite true to size, even a bit loose. A true 32 could pull it off, I'd need to get a 28 yet La Senza doesn't make them.
Yeah, the La Senza cotton bras tend to run tighter.
This "bra review" is not really helpful to others; please consider adding more general information about the bra or yourself (bra shape, boob shape, etc., check out other reviews!) and always consider it should not just be "how this bra fits me" but also be helpful to others too :) Thanks!
I dont see a band showing?
