Not a bra I would normally buy, but it was reduced and I wanted to try this brand, so I ordered two different styles by them. What I like about this one is the low centre gore, which means that despite it being quite wide, it's still comfortable for me. Also, even though the fabric of the cups doesn't cover all of my breast tissue at the top, it manages not to cut in (I am reasonably full on top), so I can actually wear it with something low-cut without the bra showing. This is probably the main reason I like it. Most of my bras provide fuller ...coverage, which means I have to be careful in the summer. The shape under clothing is a little bit wide and makes my boobs point downwards a bit, although I found that by making the straps tighter, I could eliminate that somewhat. The weirdest thing about this bra is the double-layer fabric, which isn't stitched down on the cup, only around the wires. Why they didn't attach that is beyond me. I also have the feeling that the upper layer might well move by itself when wearing the bra, leading to wrinkled fabric showing through clothing, but I guess I'll have to test that. This bra fit beautifully and then I shrank a little again due to hormones and timing. The cup gaps a bit on my smaller side due to the height of the cup, which irrationally irritates me, so I will look for ways to fill the gap. On my larger side it fit perfectly. The bra is very lightly lined and feels very supportive and comfortable. My only issue is that the gore comes up a fraction of an inch too high. It made my sternum quite sore the first time I wore it, but I've grown accustomed to the wires and I'm okay with it now, even ...if sometimes it does rub a little wrong.
It's a very pretty bra and the lilac disappears even underneath white shirts. The cups are rounded with a slight taper, which is the appearance I love from bras (I don't appreciate a too-rounded look). The spacing gives me a perfect "cakes on a plate" look, which I also love. Due to my anatomy, I also need a slight east-west design rather than perfectly front and center. I also just learned I needed a little projection from a bra. Previously I had been wearing shallow Natoris and I needed a little extra room. This bra checks all of those boxes for me. If it weren't for the slightly too-high gore, I would say it was 100% perfect. Read more 124 more words
This bra is very narrow and fairly deep. It's a good technical fit on me, and it's a fairly sexy bra, but it's not terribly comfortable. The material is a little scratchy and thin feeling. The band is fairly firm. The cups have a second layer of lace that overlays a mesh cup. They are not attached, so it moves a little as your breast moves/settles in. The shape is contained but not as uplifted and rounded like the others I own (marcie, hettie). The straps are very thin and stretchy and don't feel like they offer the right kind of support to lift things up. They feel like they cut into my shoulders, so I have them adjusted pretty loose.
I don't know what size the models are in the Figleaves photographs but they are much perkier or smaller than I. Simply not enough support from this bra to make it flattering on me. I feel like my boobs are in a sling and all the weight is carried through the lace straps at my collar bone.
Really nice neutral molded tee-shirt bra that conquers boring with its classic lace side detail and lace strap attachments. This bra completely disappears under even tight knits, and is super comfy all day. The padding is relatively thin and flexible, so it adapts to shape and soft tissue. The cups come up pretty tall, but also gently mold in so there isn't a gap at the strap. The center is lower than balcony style tee shirt bras like the Fantasie 4510 but more coverage than a Freya Deco, so maybe a modified plunge? It does give cleavage and kind of even out the breast across the torso for a slightly minimized, typical look. Wires are average width and come up well on the sides; band is not overly firm but wide for support, and true to all molded bras I've tried there isn't a heck of a lot of depth, but that's not the point of them anyway. Decent construction and very soft & comfy! Love the lace along the sides!
What a hidden secret of a bra! Since discovering ABTF and learning about my shape, I resigned myself to the fact that moulded cups were out of the question for me. They simply couldn't projected enough - well, that's because they weren't the Madeleine.
The gore projection on this bra is phenomenal (for moulded cups), admittedly I don't quite get a tack but it's close enough. Projection at the wire is just about enough, obviously it could be better but comparing it to an unlined cup wouldn't be fair IMO. In general I feel supported, the shape is great and it's fantastic as a t-shirt bra.
The actual materials feel ...great, the band is decently firm for a 32 and is just about the right length for me (snug UB is 32.5-33), I think it'll be perfect in 2-3 wears. The lace is unobtrusive and is only attached to the cups on the side so it can in theory be moved aside if needed. The only qualm with this bra (and all Lulu Touts) is the straps - between the cup and the strap bow, they're slightly thinner and a bit more prone to twisting. They're on the thinner side in general, this doesn't bother me but might be a dealbreaker for someone else.
Overall however I really like this bra - and this brand! Hopefully it'll keep in good shape over time. Read more 122 more words
Such a lovely little bra! The wires are lovely, narrow and projected, basically at Polish levels. The lace covering helps hide the sheerness of the cup, and can be pulled back if need be as it's only attached to the side of the cup (in theory, you could use it as a bra pocket, although that would probably damage the lace!). Only major issue is that the straps are quite narrow, and weirdly for the 7cm between the strap-to-cup point and the bow on the strap, the straps are only half the width due to the lace. The fabric itself feels nice, it's no Avocado but for the ...price it feels well made.
This didn't fit me as I accidentally bought it one cup size too big, but it's probably the closest to a true-to-photo bra in this size range I have ever seen - the cups really do sit nice and rounded. The band is snug but not quite a full band size small - if you're between size up, but if you're not then don't. I'm usually a 32 band, sized up on advice but it went straight onto the tightest hooks. This may be a job for breaking in with an extender in 32 instead of a 34.
ETA: After a day's wear, can report that the wires stab like crazy! It feels like they weren't tipped properly. Looks like this will become a project bra - I'll already need to pin back the mesh cup so it fits. Read more 143 more words
I received this bra as free offering and glad I was able to try Lulu Tout in such a way. I live in a town with little sub-32" band opportunities, so a big thank you. I wore the bra two days in a row for 13 hours each with no discomfort on either day, even at the end of the second. The cup colour reminds me of denim while the band is a darker grey. A nice alternative to black and I hope to go undie shopping to find something co-ordinating. I am pleased with the fit as the cups are more open on top and the ...volume is focused front and center which is good for my shape. I thought that the band was a smidge too big as I had a little migration so will try the hooks on a smaller setting next time. It is not a T-shirt bra but worked under a cotton, button up shirt. There are two layers of thin, sheer fabric which kept my nips in check so I do not have to put a wee liner in.
I am now confident to try this brand in other models or even this model in different colours if still available. Read more 103 more words
This is a really pretty sexy bra, I love the colour. The cups are two layers of fabric, mesh and then lace, and not joined together which seems a bit odd at first. Again the band is too tight for me but the cups give good support and a nice shape.
Me: Narrow roots, narrow shoulders, evenly round, lots of immediate projection, slightly FoB, splayed, left-heavey by more than a cup size, like a tight band. Panache, Freya size 30GG
This is a very odd bra. It is essentially a very simple mesh bra with a very stretchy lace outer triangle bra on top. But the lace is only anchored to the mesh at the outside edge. Consequently, it can be pulled off to the side (see picture) and serves virtually no useful purpose. I had thought it might provide some additional shaping and support, but it is too stretchyand does not come ...in far enough. Not sure if I will just yank it off or if I will attempt to tighten it up.
Otherwise, nicely narrow wires, good projection cup fits really well - no quading even after jumping around.
Straps are narrow in the front and only adjust half way. they are almost too wide for me, but most brands are. Plus, almost an extra inch in the wite channel under the arms. Not uncomfortable, but i do not have high hopes of how long it will last!
Plus, stretchy band - no extender needed.
Decided materials too cheep to really bother with. Read more 103 more words
I wanted a nice T-shirt bra -- I have a Deco but it is too shallow for me and this bra was recommended on ABTF. Appearance wise, I really like this one. The lace accents on the side of the cup extend up the strap for a lovely, feminine look. The moulded cups give a nice rounded shape.
Fit - I read that the band on this bra runs small so I ordered a 34 (my snug underbust measurement is 31.5", BTT 29"). I actually find this band to be quite stretchy - I am starting out on the tightest set ...of hooks. I should've gone for the band size I typically wear, a 32. Still, the band is supportive and I appreciate the 3 hooks.
A few things about this bra that I don't care for - the gore is fairly tall as are the cups. The tops of the cups peek out of tank tops. While this bra will be perfect in winter when I am wearing higher necklines it is kind of a dud for me in warmer temperatures - and as I live in the southern part of the US, is most of the year. Technically it fits, but the lacy part sticks away from my boobs yet again, like in 32F - Lulu Tout » Fleur Rose Underwired Bra (dd-h) (133523), the band has only two hooks (gasp) and the colou is much darker than on the website. Off to return it goes.
Figleaves has GOT to stop with this unattached lace layer garbage on their house brands. It's killed Lulu Tout for me. I'd literally buy at least 5 of LTs bras because they're gorgeous, tight in the band, narrow wired, projected - everything I need. But I cannot stand the outer layer of the cup not being attached to the inner layer. I even attached the two layers together in my Fleur Rose and it still didn't look right.
I know right? Fleur Rose was my dream bra and the free-flowing lace destroyed her for me.
This bra is miserable. The band was tight enough, it felt more of a 30 than a 32, but it felt like most of the support was coming from the straps. The 3-part cup is made in strechy and very thin mesh. The stiches were so elastic that it offered absolutely no support. I felt like the cups were maybe a little bit too big for me, so even if I was fiilling the cups, the outer fabric (the one with patterns-details) was not filled. It was like 'floating' over my boobies. under a t-shirt, this panel would just move around and wrinkle.
A stylish, comfortable t-shirt bra. I was initially put off by the lace, but it looks nice on and doesn't show through clothes. I've found the band to be quite rigid, and the cup running a little small (though I am breastfeeding so my size fluctuates!). Fits quite high on the wing, and close set cups.
I had such high hopes for this bra which I got to replace the too small 30DD - Lulu Tout » Amelie Balcony Bra (a-dd) (133518) I had. It's beautiful, but sadly not even close to fitting me. I might have gotten away with it but the apex is very high, probably at least half an inch above where I need it to be. The lace overlay's seaming sadly exacerbates the appearance of this issue. I think this bra would give a bit of a pointy shape, which I don't mind. It's a little big overall, but I think it's mostly a shape issue. The gore is one of the most painful I've encountered. It would probably be okay with some bending if the rest of it fit. The band runs firm but not as tight as the A-DD cut, if you're a solid 30 you might need an extender.
I say this about every bra, but this is SO PRETTY.
It would work as a lovely nude bra for me if I wasn't so fussy. The colour is so sweet - a little more peach and a little less pink than the camera seems to pick up - and I love the contrasting bow and little flowers on the straps. And the little peep hole at the gore...so cute!
But I always seem to have a problem with the lace overlay on Lulu Tout bras: it's always too loose, even though the bra cup itself is a good fit or leaning towards digging in. The gore and wires ...are too wide, but I never have had wires or gores narrow enough, so that's not really noteworthy!
Where the strap meets the cup, it digs into my armpit uncomfortably, but I can't put my finger on why.
Despite all the fit issues, I'm in two minds on returning this because it's just adorable to look at. I feel like I wanna put it up on my wall as an art piece lol. I love that it has rose gold findings: I've never seen this before on a bra and it works really well with the colouring.
It's also only £10 on figleaves right now, which is a total steal for something so pretty https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Read more 120 more words
It's such a shame about the loose top lace! I played around with it to see if I could maybe stitch it tighter, but without unpicking the whole thing and starting from scratch, it just wouldn't work :(
One more attempt at a T shirt bra. I give up. Not enough depth or immediate projection. I seem to need an extreme amount of immediate projection. I normally wear a 28gg , but after reading reviews saying size up in band, I thought it was safe to order a 30G which is the smallest band size it comes in. This is very tight 30, fits more like a 28. The gore has elastic criss crossing under need to it fits tightly at the lower edge. Under clothing this gives a nice shape, although less rounded than a Cleo gives. I've come to the conclusion that I have short roots and you can see that I don't begin to fill up the top of the cup because it is way too tall. I can fold out at least 1 1/2 to 2 inches out of the top to get a good fit.
