Rhea is a true Marie Antoinette bra and gives a cakes-on-a-plate cleavage that is out of this world! The cups are very open at the top and accommodate upper fullness perfectly. This size is a bit small for me now, however, and I get some bubbling over the edge of the cups. It does enhance the look in a way, but I also feel like my boobs are about to fall out any minute. I’d like the cups to be a little bit higher. The look of the bra is very sophisticated with the black satin combined with gorgeous, thick lace at the top of the cups and on ...the band. The cups are thinly padded, but very stiff. The straps are not stretchy at all, and only partly adjustable. I have them adjusted almost to the loosest, but then again I have rather low-set breasts. Band is tight for 28, and fits perfectly for my 26" underbust (for some reason it still looks like it’s riding up). The gore is rather high, but it doesn’t dig into my sternum like some other Panache bras. It feels a little bit pinchy on my close-set boobs however. Also, I think that the cups are a bit too shallow on me, because the wires are pushing my ribcage under my breasts. Overall, the fit is decent and I love the look, but it’s not the most comfortable bra for me. I rarely wear it and sort of forgot I have one. Read more 141 more words
The cups ran very large, I have a bit of gaping at the top but I get gapin with 99% of my bras, so there. I hate the gore - it digs deep into me, because it is way too low. I will try to fix that somehow, since the rest of the construction is pretty nice, and I love the colorway - such regal emerald.
This is the most beautiful bra I own. The lace and satin are very high quality. The lace is a bit thick but doesn't show under most clothing. I love the shape the cups give my breast, pressed in and up for AMAZING cleavage! The band runs tight but has enough stretch to be comfortable. This is my go to for a fancy, sexy night out!
I really like this bra. The band at the top of the breasts is slightly stretchy and doesn't dig in at all, and is very soft. The "wings" are low enough not to dig into my armpit at all (I hate that!), but tall enough to comfortably contain all of my breast tissue. It's not the most supportive bra I've ever had--I do bounce a bit in it--but that may be due to having a band slightly larger than I'm used to, and it being a balconnet rather than a full-cup like I'm used to.
This bra is very comfortable. It gives me a similar shape to my 28GG - Masquerade » Rhea (6121) however, the cups are roomier and I get less cakes as a result. The straps are like nothing I've ever seen before. They are wide and regal. They are padded with foam for extra comfort. Would be good for open or wide necklines.
And since I can't afford Von Follies , I made my own ooomphy basque. Hot / not?
Please cheack out the pics, I will be adding a satin shortie to it https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> (and listing the thing after Halloween)
This bra was the first non matrix sized bra I ever tried... in 28DD. It was too small for me then and this one is too big for me now. I love love love how it looks and have been searching for a 28F since I found out it was being discontinued. I decided to try one size up because I want this bra to work for me soo bad! Turns out 28F *should* be the right size for me and I could probably go for a 30E as well. Bummer. Unfortunately, I think this bra will be unattainable since the straps were a tiny bit too wide, the cups a tiny bit too tall (and overall about half a cup size too big), and the gore kind of poked me. Other than those things though: Ermergd I love this bra! It's soo beautiful and elegant and well made and I wish it worked for me.
I tried both the 28E and the 28F of the Deity Plunge and found them to be fairly similar. In the end, I think the 28F was better for me. There was more quadboob with the 28E. The cups fit fairly well for a plunge on my wide-rooted, shallow boobs – I can fill out the bottom reasonably well. However, there is a bit of quadboob. As much as I like the Deity Plunge, there are better plunges for my shape.
The materials are very nice. I love the soft, stretchy, padded straps. I'm not a huge fan of the seamed construction because it feels a little pointy to me. For that reason, I wouldn't wear it as an everyday bra.
This bra is so pretty! So pretty! Wearing it makes me feel like a model, and I'm discovering that I carry some of that confidence into my day even when I'm the only one who knows about my gorgeous underwear. If only it felt comfortable enough for all day I'd be completely delighted. As it is, there are some problems.
The cups on this bra are the right shape, size, and placement for me, so that's a good start. I wish the band were a little longer and more stretchy, though. I bought this 28D knowing that I'd need to add an extender -- ...a 30C would have fit me better, but they don't make that size. With the extender the fit is okay, but I still am working on fine-tuning it so I can be comfortable all day. The straps are a little on the short side, but I can work with that. The wires are very stiff -- the whole bra feels stiff -- and I am still figuring out whether sliding them in their channels helps, or whether I can bend them a wee bit to take some pressure off my sternum. When I take the bra off there are red marks in the various too-tight places, which I'm using to guide me in where to bend.
But -- so pretty! I'll have to update you next year about how this bra holds up under washing and wear, and whether I was ever able to make it feel good for more than occasional special uses. It looks well made at the start, and I'm very hopeful. Read more 170 more words
I agree the Alice is gorgeous, so sad it doesn't work for me anymore (if it ever did, but I pretended for a little while). I definitely agree wearing pretty bras boosts your confidence. When I was bravangelizing my mom she was like "what's the point of all that frilly stuff if nobody sees it." I'm like "umm, I SEE IT!" Teehee. I'm a secret princess!
So glad it's working out for you! Where did you get it? Alice has been on my list for a while now.
The gore of this bra is very painful on me. I tried wearing the band higher, lower, tighter, looser. Nothing. Finally I tried bending the wires but could not get them to behave. I don't see this mentioned on any other reviews so it's possible that this is unique to the way the bra fits me.
The bra very nearly fits my larger side (just a little bit unfilled) and gaps noticeably in the apex on my smaller side. The band feels good, true to size. I agree that the seam between the upper and lower portions is visible under shirts, but it doesn't bother me at all.
Other than that, I think this bra is beautiful, soft with shiny fabric, and has real potential to be sexy and comfortable, for someone who it doesn't wish to murder. I am happy I got to try this bra and I hope to find a Masquerade that works for me some day!
Gorgous Bra! This is the Silver and pink color way! Wish it fit! Nice high apex. Nice projection, deep enough so the cup doesn't fold but shallow enough so that it pushes the breasts up. Nice plunge. Band is very tight and the fact that it only has 2 hooks per column make it seem tighter. Doesn't cut in under arm. The lace on top makes it cut in slightly.... But the cup material has enough stretch/movement to it that if the lace was removed it would make it more open on top. The lace looks simple to remove.
Suggested for. FOB close or wide set breasts. I feel like it would fit a wide range of shapes
This bra is not for shallow breasts. There was major wrinkling along the horizontal seam, and the top edge dug into my breasts because this bra is closed off at the top. However, it's absolutely beautiful. I love the tassel where there's usually a bow, and the band is made of a nice thick and satiny material. I didn't have any problems with the band--I'm sub-28 and I had no problems getting it on. The band is definitely on the stiffer side, though.
You know what? This bra is actually pretty great. I have been pretty loyal to Polish bras the last couple of years, and I wear Ewa Michalak every single day. However, I got a chance to get this bra, and I couldn't believe it -- the shape and fit is very similar to that of my 70J - Ewa Michalak » Chp Brzoskwinka (301)! Sure, the gore is slightly different and sits on top of my tissue instead of separating it, but other than that, it's pretty close. The upfront, rounded shape is nearly identical. There is a great amount of projection at the bottom of the cups, which is awesome. It only has 2 hooks, but the comfy padded straps nearly make up for it. This shade (sepia) is a great nude for my pinkish-pale skin, although I don't know how well the raspberry trim would disappear (it is really pretty, though.) Overall, it's a really lovely bra that feels comfy and gives an awesome shape.
The cups have exactly the same cut as the Masquerade Georgiana (5471). It's a 3-part half cup with two vertical seams. The cups are quite shallow and wide, and therefore definitely shallow-friendly.
The cups are deeply red with a black lace overlay. There's a small black lace trim at the top of the cups and the straps, but not too much frilly stuff. It looks smooth under T-shirts, but the seams show through. The straps have some adornments too, and I'm not a big fan of that because it looks really weird under tanktops.
The band runs somewhat stretchy, but it feels stable at the widest hook. A sister size down was too tight on me.
This review is for the Sky Blue/Charcoal colorway. My shape is a close-set teardrop with super wide and tall roots that give me all the problems shallow ladies have, although I have pretty significant immediate projection underneath, with very firm tissue and roots that wrap past my armpits.
I will say, it is a beautiful bra and I love the color combination and the lace and the details! I think the bandeau shape could really work for me, surprisingly enough (most similar shapes, especially strapless, cut me off something fierce). It seems to work much better in the 30F - Masquerade » Antoinette Basque (7157) on me, ...though: the basque has more immediate projection and makes less of a divet into my upper root with the seam at the top of the cup. I'm not sure why they are so different, except that the tension in the band is distributed across more surface area in the basque. The underwires of the bra seem to want to ride down a hair because of the projection issue, but they don't seem to in photos.
The wires are great, which is crazy because I wasn't expecting them to be so wide - on the basque they are narrower - and they almost encompass my whole breast root. The gore is surprisingly comfy, too, considering how high it is and how often this element gives me lots of trouble.
The band is lovely and tight in a 30, and doesn't feel too stretchy so I think it will last a long time. I wish I could pull off a 28, because the straps are juuuuust barely close enough in - any farther out and they'd be in my armpits, but where they are is comfortable enough not to notice. I hope the 30FF or 30G I have to exchange it for is similarly positioned.
Unfortunately, this one does have to be exchanged. The cups are simply too small, and that top seam really cuts in. It is such a shame, but hopefully a size or two up will be much better. Read more 237 more words
I received this bra 2 days before my 28FF Cleo Nyla (the same cut as Cleo Marcie) and was surprised at how similar the fit is. The Persia is put together differently a little differently (probably due to the lace construction), and a little better than the Nyla (which has weird lace bubbles).
Okay. This bra is beautiful and seems made from high quality materials. I found the elastic used on the band less tight than my Nyla, but heavier and more stable. The straps might be too short for some, I'm 5'4" and have an inch to spare. Also, although the bottom of ...the cup is lined, if you hate the feel of lace you will hate this bra.
Though initially comfortable, I found that the high gore got stabby by the end of the day. Aggressive wire bending seems to have fixed the problem.
Besides the stabby (but tameable) gore, the cups are technically too wide on me, but still comfortable and supportive. The relatively open "FOT" construction works well with my center full breasts.
tl/dr IMO, the Masquerade Persia is a fancy lace Cleo Marcie.
Bought this bra from a bratabase user. It is beautiful!! Band is snug, as I've read from other reviews but it fits. The design is my favorite part and I like the material. The cups give a good shape under clothes. I would purchase this brand again
Appearance: Beautiful bra. Would be perfect for a bride, or even a special event. Super soft cups, the satin is very pretty ad it's very malleable while still having a little structure. There's a bow in the front that I wasn't expecting and that fabric seems a little stiff, so be careful if you're wearing it under something clingy as the bow may show through. There is also the bow fabric on the inside of the wing, which is a cute little detail.
Fit: This bra did not fit me. It was too shallow (average projection), however, the reviews were correct in that you should size down in ...band and size up in cup. So instead of a 32DD, I ordered a 30F and it probably would have been a perfect fit had I been a little more shallow. I would recommend that someone measuring a firm 32 to probably stay at a 32 band; I don't think the wing material would allow for too much stretch. The cups seemed a little tall, but weren't uncomfortable or awkward. The straps were somewhat thick, but still soft and comfy. The gore was a nice low height.
Plus: Since it's discontinued, it's only $20 on Amazon! Read more 97 more words
Would it help to bend the wires out?
