I love these bras. Impressive size range, no wires, supportive, comfortable... not easy to check all those boxes in a 28HH.
The fit is like all of the original Molke bras. The wrap structure creates separation, and the wide band, straps, and back keep everything in place. It lifts well for a non-wired bra, and it's also minimizing. Neither the straps nor the back are adjustable, so it may not work as well for taller folks as it does for my petite self. It's also more difficult to get on than bras that fasten in the back. If you have limited mobility, this may not be the bra for ...you. If you hate feeling hooks and eyes on your back, however, you'll love it. I don't normally sleep in a bra, and usually can't stand it, but with the lack of fasteners and minimal seams, I could sleep in this one.
On Molke's fabric rating scale, this white bra is a level 2, which is the medium rating, supposedly for everyday wear. Right out of the bag, it does feel a bit softer than my black bra, which is a level 3 (the firmest rating). It's not a huge difference, though. The bra feels very supportive. Good enough to wear out of the house. Or to chase kids around the house.
Although the bra is white and lined only with a second layer of the same fabric, it's enough to hide my nipples. I'm not sure that would be the case for everyone, but it was a pleasant surprise. Read more 148 more words
Wireless bras in a 28HH are hard to find. Wireless swimsuits in a 28HH are even harder to find. I'd been eyeing Molke's bras for a while, but it took summer swimming plans to motivate me to finally place an order. I really, really wanted a wireless bikini top, and this is one of very few available in my size. I was cautiously optimistic about this thing. In the pictures online, it looks very basic with some odd seams, and while the reviews I saw were good, there weren't many of them.
As it turns out, this is a great top. Those oddly placed seams provide nice support, and ...it looks very good on. No, I'm not putting pictures of myself wearing a swimsuit online. You'll have to take my word for it.
This is a basic crop top style bikini top with strings to adjust the neckline. I found that the neckline adjustment really does not work for me. If I cinch it down more than a tiny bit, the upper edge of the cup starts cutting into my breasts. Maybe that feature would work better if I were on the smaller end of the size range? I'll try it again if I lose some weight, I guess. With the neckline straight across, it has a nice athletic look to it, and it pairs well with a pair of boyshort bottoms.
There isn't much separation in this top. It's possible to create some by adjusting the neckline down, but I'm not sure how much since that feature didn't work for me. With the neckline all the way up, it's a uniboob. I'm fine with that in a crop top style.
The fit is true to size. This is what Molke calls a flexi-size top, and it supposedly fits 26HH/J, 28H/HH, and 30GG/H. I think it would work for all of those sizes. The back uses a hook and eye fastening instead of the usual swimsuit fastener, with a total of 6 columns to allow it to cover 3 band sizes. As a 28, I'm fastening it on the middle column comfortably.
This is the first wireless top I've tried since my breasts grew to this size, so I don't have much to compare it to. I find it more comfortable than a wired top. It's supportive and keeps everything contained. Read more 278 more words
These things seem to come up a lot in discussions of good wireless bras, and I finally worked up the nerve to order one. First thing to know is that shipping to the US is currently taking a long time. It was a little over 3 weeks from the time I placed my order to when the package got here. It was worth the wait.
The design of this bra is very much not like a regular bra. It's more like a crop top with a wrap front. There's nothing adjustable at all, and it's very snug, so it's a bit of a challenge to get on. Somehow, though, ...the design works to provide really good support and a bit of separation while being extremely comfortable. I can't stand sleeping in a bra, but I think I could sleep in this one.
In terms of size, this is an XS Super, which equals out to a 28H/HH/J. I'm around a 28HH in regularly sized bras, and this fits me perfectly. It supposedly also fits 26HH/J/JJ, so I was a bit worried that it would be too tight in the band, but it's very comfortable. The straps feel a tiny bit snug, which seems normal for wireless bras. They're nice and wide so whatever weight is on them gets spread out well, and the back is very wide to take some weight as well. Since the straps aren't adjustable, they might be a problem for someone taller.
The black fabric is the firmest Molke has, a level 3, which they say can work as a sports bra. I don't think it would work for running or anything like that, but it was fine for some low-intensity yoga. I can bend over and move around without anything slipping out of place. It's supportive enough to leave the house in, and unlike a lot of wireless bras, it's smooth under a shirt since there are no seams on the cups. I don't have any nipple show through, but mine are pretty flat, so that might not be the case for others.
Measuring this bra was tricky since it stretches so much when it goes on, and one part that was especially hard to measure was the gore. Obviously, it's not like a wired gore. Instead, it's the place where one layer crosses over the other. This creates some separation between the breasts. It's also a lot lower than it seems when it's measured with the bra off. This is effectively a wireless plunge bra. I can wear a v-neck or wrap top with this bra with no problems. I think it's the only wireless bra I can say that for, at least in a 28HH. It's possible to adjust where the edge of the cup lies a bit to accommodate lower cut shirts, but only so much. It works for a low v-neck, but it definitely would not work with a square neck.
While trying this out with a couple different shirts, I discovered that it is also possible to create the "butt crack" cleavage effect with this bra and the right shirt. Pull the edges of the cups down and out a bit to create some spillage, and there you go. Not as dramatic of a lift as a too-small wired plunge bra can do, but if that's your thing, this is a wireless option for it.
Overall, this is in my top 3 wireless bras, along with the Cleo Freedom and the Bravissimo Flora. It's a great everyday bra. Read more 475 more words
