I wasn't going to buy any bras today but I've been lusting after a Natori Feathers forever and when I saw this baby at Nordstrom in 30C (one of maybe like 4 bras available in 30 backs?) I had to try it. And then I absolutely had to splurge on it because IT FITS MEEEEEE~

The band runs tight, not quite a 28 but tight enough that I think I can get away with wearing it on the loosest hooks for now. The cups are lined and soft and seem flexible enough to fit just about anybody. The lining ends very close to the edge of my nipple but ... the mesh part covers everything just fine.

Plunge bras are usually a quadra-nightmare for me but this one is sooooo comfortable. I'm starting to think that my boobs must be close set because the wires on most of my bras are usually sitting on breast tissue at the centre gore, something I've only recently noticed (and need to update on other reviews). So I appreciate that the Feathers doesn't have any stabby wires there.

    Overall: NO REGRETS

I love this bra! The lace around it is so pretty. I think the tan is perfect to hide under sheer tops!

I honestly don't know what to think about this bra. I mean, I think it's absolutely beautiful. And it is very comfortable (except the underwire -- it kinda digs at my ribs a little), with super soft lace everywhere, and I love how low cut it is for certain tops. But it seems to be a bit too shallow for me, causing some quadding; and it doesn't feel particularly supportive. It feels sort of... loose. Like I'm hanging out of it more than I actually am, and it definitely allows some jiggle. I can't decide if I hate that or kinda like it. For how expensive it is, ... it seems fairly flimsy and delicately stretchy all over (which makes it feel like it's moving out of place sometimes), and I worry about how long it will last. Particularly the band.

I'm considering sizing up in the cup to see if it solves my coverage/quadding issue, since I am fairly projected on bottom, but I'm hesitant because the wires are the perfect width for my broad roots in this size. I'm also hesitant to write this off and return it because it's so darn pretty and I can wear it with the tops that don't work with other bras.

The rumors are true -- this is definitely for those who are broad-rooted and shallow. It also has great side support (which I LOVE), but basically none in the center (which feels like a combination of sexy and awkward).

Yeah. I'm torn about this one. I both love it and am angry with it. Take that as you will.

Particular frustration: I measured both cups and one is 0.3" deeper than the other. Which would actually be awesome for me if those cups were switched. The shallower cup is on my larger breast. Argh.

Don't mind me, just trying to collect Feathers in every colour over here.

The band runs tight and is stretchy. It works for true 28s and would still be comfortable for true 30s. It has soft, flexible, lined cups that conform to my boobs without gapping or cutting in and are ideal for shallow or full on top shapes as well as close set boobs that don't play nice with high wires at the centre gore. (And yes, I just plagiarized myself but in my defense, the fit is pretty consistent.)

The white colourway is (for now) truly white, not ivory. Hopefully I can keep it that way. I love the look of the lace trim peeking out under low necklines and will try to work this bra into every outfit I wear it with. If you're looking for something to disappear under clothes, I suggest trying one of the two nude options it comes in.

My proper size is a 28D, and I am a shallow 28D, but for me, underwire in anything higher than a plunge style is extremely uncomfortable and stabs uncomfortably in my chest, so I needed to try some plunge styles that are supposed to be good for shallow breasts - of which there are few. This bra is one of the few that is supposed to be better for shallow breasts, so I figured I would compromise on the band size - and it seems to be okay.

This bra is super comfortable! And fits great! As soon as I put it on, I could tell it was ... going to be awesome. The cup does not quad-boob my larger breast, but still fits my smaller breast well. And it looks really nice, a little sexy! The low gore does not stab me in the chest, which I am really jazzed about.

More than all of that, it just feels really comfortable, especially for a bra with underwire. There is some cute lace on this bra, but it doesn't itch or irritate at all.

The 30 band is fine for me, but I did start wearing it on the middle hook - so I know that it will stretch out quicker than a 28 band will, which is probably the only less-than-ideal aspect of this bra.

Well, that and I'm pretty sure this size is discontinued! But if you can find it somewhere, I highly recommend it.

About me: Shallow, tall and narrow-average roots, even vertical fullness, close-set but extremely outer full so I don't look close-set at all.

I did have to alter this bra to fit me - my first time doing so! As is, the gore of this bra is too wide, but the rest of it is just what the bra fitter ordered and even gives me some actual lift(!). In order to be able to wear it comfortably, I removed the wires and wire channels past the point where the cup meets the lace trim, so that they wouldn't protrude into the gore and stab me in the sternum. (Turns out Natori wires are super thick and sturdy pieces of metal, so if you want to do this yourself, you will need a bolt cutter.) Then I took in the gore to make it much narrower. A bit of of hand-stitching later, it's all cleaned up and feels awesome to wear.

Additional note: the band runs roughly one size tight.

The band fit great. I don't think I could tolerate smaller. The C cup was a little small, partly because it doesn't cover much area.
The cup spacing was great, the broad underwire base curve was great.
Minor quad boob, might reduce after settling. Would like to see higher wire under the arms, to gather in more tissue.

This is a good-looking bra. I like the colorway: black lace, floral cups. My wide set breasts like the cup width. They pop out of the middle somewhat, making me think I should also try on a 30D when I get the chance, but it's a good look on me, and stays in place throughout the day.

I got this from Nordstrom after getting fitted for the first time. However, I still don't think it's the right size. I've been pouring over the ABTF subreddit the past two days, so please bear with me as I continue to learn about the correct terminology.

When I first put it on, the fit feels ok. However, swooping and scooping immediately caused quadding. The 30" band is too big, as I'm able to pull about 2" on the loosest hooks. The center gore tilts slightly away from the sternum on the bottom. The underwire curve too deep under the arms, where I don't have any more tissue. This causes some slight wrinkling on the side of the cups. I think if the cups are slightly closer together, then I wouldn't have quadding and the underwire should encapsulate the whole tissue?

This bra has the correct wire breadth for me but is too shallow. This bra is really good if you are extremely shallow, broad rooted, and tall rooted.

    • it also works if you have full on top, tall rooted, close-set breasts, becaus there are no wires sitting on breast tissue in the middle, the top doesn't cut in, and the shallow cups just act like a push-up bra without the padding. they're shorter and more flexible than Deco too, so more forgiving of projection.
