So, these bras are 100% made for people with shallow projection. Im usually either a 30D or 30DD based on brand, and while the D squishes my boobs and gets super uncomfortable, the DD is only moderately better in that sense and gapes at the top as well. Bruised my sternum too unless I bent the wires outward.

Wore them regularly for a good while before I grew more tho, and they lasted me literal years of use before even getting to the third hook. So if they fit and you stay the same size, they'll last.

Overall I can't recommend them to anyone with my size and shape, but they're probably OK for anyone shallower.

This bra was my favorite for ages, it’s perfect for wide-set shallow shapes. It has very little immediate projection, so if you need projection at the wire it likely won’t be a good fit.

  3. Feathers Contour Plunge Bra (730023)

This bra initially seemed like it fit, but unfortunately the band is just too big for me and the cups are too small. It seemed workable at first, but it looks like Natori doesn’t make this bra in a shape and size that would fit me anymore.

This bra is theoretically identical to one I have in another colorway (passionfruit) but runs noticeably smaller in the cups. As a result, this one causes slight quadding where the other fit perfectly.

The Natori Feathers Wireless Convertible is a bra style I picked up randomly at Nordstrom Rack a while ago with the intention of wearing this at home as a lounge bralette. It's pretty easy to find these at Nordstrom Rack, and the price is always right, so I've picked up a few of these.

These come in split sizes, i.e. 30 B/C or 30 C/D. I can't say there's a huge difference between the two sizes, and I can fit into either of them, because this is essentially a bralette and is very forgiving. However, the main challenge to sizing is going to be the fact ... that these cups are extremely wide-set, and they have virtually no structure to hold you in as it's built like a very stretchy halter top with a convertible back option. If you're not careful, you will fall out of the cups because the panels will slip around. The 30 C/D's cups are spaced a little further apart than the 30 B/C.

Like all Natori bands, this one is very stretchy, but since it's a bralette, I don't expect it to provide much support. The cups themselves provide absolutely zero support, because the lace is super stretchy. It will not give you any shape, and if your breasts are droopy or pendulous at all, they will probably fold over a bit at the IMF because these cups aren't strong enough to lift you up. However, it's comfortable, and definitely feels and functions like a bralette.

My tip for anyone who has trouble falling out of these cups is to change the straps to cross over in the back. I cannot wear this style at all when the straps are conventional in size 30 C/D, but it stays in place pretty well when crossed. The size 30 B/C has smaller lace panels so I don't really have this problem, but the cups feel a bit too narrow for me, particularly the bottom channel where the underwire would normally go.

One note about the strap length is that they don't go very short, since it's designed to be convertible. The bra will actually fall off my shoulders if worn conventionally, because I can't shorten them any further in 30 C/D, and in 30 B/C I have them shortened the entire way. However, it's comfortable enough to sleep in, and the deep plunge in front does show off any cleavage, so it does have a little bit of sex appeal, even if the side profile isn't impressive.

Overall, this would be a good choice for those looking for a little more support than a standard bralette and can fit into typical Natori plunge styles. If Natori plunge bras don't typically work for you though because of your shape, then this wouldn't be a good choice.

Note: This bra is just two panels of fabric in the front, so it's impossible to measure a cup height since there's no separate cup and strap in front.

This is a total bummer, as it is the closest fitting Natori bra I've come across. While I've been very critical of this brand in my reviews, I really do like it and wish that it worked for me, hence I keep trying these styles! This fit actually looks the best out of all the Natori bras I've tried, but there are some fit issues that interfere with comfort, so I will not be keeping these bras.

In terms of the sizing and shape, I actually found this to fit the truest to size of all Natori bras. Typically I have a problem with the cups ... being too shallow for me, but sizing up doesn't work as the cups tend to come up too high up under the arms. These cups in 30D actually fit really nicely and are only a tad bit small rather than a half size small like their other bras. I experience a little bit of overflow just at the very top, but the cups give me a nicely rounded and projected shape whereas most 30D Natori contour bras just flatten me out because they are too small. I get a lot more lift in this bra than I do in other Natori styles. This is more of a balconnette cut, and would be an ideal shape to wear everyday. The cups are also on the wider side and have a semi-open top.

The issue for me is is that it's the first bra I've come across that doesn't stay in my IMF. It never feels secure and feels like it slides up and down even though the band size is not a problem and it is a full band style. My suspicion is that the wings are too flimsy and the cradle doesn't provide enough support. Despite having really tall wings, this is constructed without side boning or even a seam between the cradle and the wing, so I feel this is causing the band to pull at the cradle. The elastic used is also very thin, and the wings are made from Natori's typical flimsy lace, so despite being firm and snug, it is also flimsy feeling. In a well-made bra, the cradle should have wide elastic and stable seaming or boning to provide structural support, then the band should be firm and sturdy enough to apply even pressure around the chest to hold everything securely in place. Wearing this bra feels like you're wearing two coconuts tied together. Even if they're tightly tied together, it's not the same.

Fit issues aside, this is one of the prettiest Natori bras I've come across. It fuses the look of a lace bra with the fit and shape of a contour bra and does it so, so well. The molded foam cups are covered with open, delicate lace with a vertical seam that gives it the look of a cut and sew bra. There is a side sling applique panel at the sides, and the cradle and wings are made of the same lace, with no matte fabric to be found. The lace has a bit of a corded effect and looks like embroidery on mesh. The Mocha/Cashmere color is a lovely nude and not too greyish or beige. The straps attach to the back of the band by two little triangles of lace, which are a nice touch, while the rest of the straps are fully adjustable. It looks far more elegant than your standard department store bra, and it reminds me of something you would see from a French brand. Sadly, the fit isn't there for me, otherwise I would've loved to keep this bra. Due to the fit issues, I would highly recommend you try on this bra and see if you have the same problems with stability. It could be a beautiful everyday lace bra if this is not an issue for you!

I have previously tried this in 30D and found it too small, but was finally able to get my hands on 30DD. However, this size didn't quite work for me either, though it didn't have as many issues as Feathers Contour does for me in 30DD, since this doesn't go up as high under the arms as it is not a plunge cut.

Like all Natori bras, this has a very stretchy band, feels very comfortable, but doesn't provide any shaping or support. The construction of the cup is a little different from Feathers though, and I felt that this suited me slightly better. The cup ... is almost as shallow as Feathers, but doesn't flatten me out quite as much. I found that 30DD fit much better for me in terms of overall cup shape and size compared to the rest of the contour bras from this line, but I felt there was a bit of excess right around the underwire that didn't quite sit right. Basically, the majority of the cup shape and depth was fine, but I would need to shave a little extra off of the cup near the underwire to make it an ideal fit. I also found that the band still felt too flimsy and unsupportive, and made the cup issue worse.

Natori plunge bras would be best suited for small cup sizes that don't need much support and have a natural rounded shape. This would not be a good fit for very wide-set, east-west, extremely FOB/shallow on top, droopy, or pendulous shapes. This is strictly a comfort bra and not one that provides shaping or firm support. Would be great to wear while traveling or lounging around the house!

The cups are sheer and offer no headlight coverage. Great for a summer bra because of those things. The band is loose for a 30, which is great for me since I have a 31" under bust. The cups are stretchy and accommodate my unevenness. I own the contour version and this is exactly the same only without the contour lining.

The Natori Bliss Perfection Contour Soft Cup Bra is a very comfortable wire free bra. With my wide-rooted, shallow boobs, I am able to fill the bottom of the cups, and the cups enclose my boobs in the armpit area fairly well. The straps are set a fairly good distance apart compared to most other bras that are too far apart, though I'd like them to be even closer together. Though the lace is very soft, I personally am not a fan of lace in general. Overall, the bra is comfortable and fits well.

  13. Cherry Blossom Convertible Bra (721191)

    Didn't fit

Natori Cherry Blossom is a newer take on the classic Natori Feathers Plunge, and while this bra shares a similar cut, there are some features unique to Cherry Blossom that made it worthwhile for me to try despite Feathers Plunge not working out for me.

The bra has a lightly molded foam cup that is soft, flexible, and comfortable, overlaid with open mesh and a floral design. This style has a convertible J hook option to allow the bra to be worn as a racerback. Since Feathers Plunge was far too small for me in a 30D and I had tried this style in a 30D in ... store and had the same issue with the shallowness of the cup, I decided to order a 30DD to try.

30DD in Cherry Blossom does fit me better than Feathers Plunge, and the cups here are close to fitting. However, the cups are slightly too wide for me near the underarms, so I can feel a bit of empty space between the underwire and my body. It's not much though, and the soft mesh overlay means that the cups sit nicely on me and fit along the root.

The main problem in this bra though is that it is not designed for petite wearers. Because this is a high apex style, the lace overlay of the cup extends a good 5" higher than the foam cup, thus shortening the available strap length by at least this much. I had to shorten the straps completely in order to get this bra to fit, which meant the J hook converter ended up in the front of the bra on me. This completely defeats the purpose of this feature, so only people with a torso size in a certain range could take advantage of the J hook feature. Also, going up in size from 30D to 30DD means that the outer portion of the cups under the arms tends to come up too high on me and chafe.

The one positive note regarding this bra is that the band, though appearing to be made out of the same flimsy lace as all Natori bras, actually feels decently firm and supportive. It's not the most secure band I've ever tried, but it certainly doesn't ride up and move around like many other ones from the line.

This is pretty close to fitting, yet the comfort issues make this not a suitable bra for petite wearers of my size. Still, I can see this bra working for others, and would definitely recommend it over the Feathers Plunge. Just be wary of the "nude" option-- the color "Cafe" is a greyish nude that comes off kind of dead looking. There are better nude shades out there.

This is my favorite style of all the Natori bras I've tried, and I feel that the non-plunge styles in this brand tend to work better on me.

The styling of this bra is gorgeous, with really beautiful and nice quality lace cups. Unlike the standard Natori lace bras, which tend to have simpler lace patterns on super stretch net, this is a much more intricate pattern and thus a firmer fabric. The cup shape and width was a good fit for me, but the cups were too tall and closed off for me as I couldn't fill out the top. This would be better for round or slightly FOT shapes, but not tall roots. This style might've worked for me in a 30C, but this style doesn't come in that size.

Because the wings are a little wider here than your standard Natori style, the 30 band felt ok on me and wasn't quite as loose as usual.

The Natori Flora Unlined Bra is a bra style I picked up randomly at Nordstrom Rack randomly on sale. While I don't usually gravitate towards seamless stretch cups, I tried this on and was surprised by how comfortable this style is. The cups are so lightweight that you'd forget you're wearing a bra if it weren't for the underwire.

However, the lightweight cups come at a price. This is the most lightweight of all Natori bras that I've come across, and show-through will definitely be a concern here if you're in a cold environment or have prominent nipples. Natori always uses very comfortable, lightweight stretch ... lace, but the flaw is that these materials cannot provide any shaping or support. Furthermore, Natori plunge bras always run shallow in the cup, so these cups just ended up flattening me out. When I scoop completely into the cups, it is apparent they are too small as there's quite a bit of overflow, but this ends up disappearing after a little movement because the standard Natori band is too flimsy to hold everything in place.

It seems like an odd combination to put firm wires into such a lightweight, unsupportive bra. This could be a great comfort bra, but the fabric and band provide so little support that the underwires seem like a misguided choice.

I cannot wear this style at all when the straps are conventional, but it stays in place pretty well when crossed. One note about the strap length is that they don't go very short, since it's designed to be convertible. The bra will actually fall off my shoulders if worn conventionally, because I can't shorten them any further.

I tried this bra on at Nordstrom to compare to Natori Feathers in 30D and 30DD. However, I think this style is actually more comparable to the new Natori Cherry Blossom. There was no 30DD to try, so unfortunately I can't compare sizes.

Like all Natori bras, this has a very stretchy band, feels very comfortable, but doesn't provide any shaping or support. The construction of the cup is a little different from Feathers though, and I felt that this suited me slightly better. The cup is almost as shallow as Feathers, but doesn't flatten me out quite as much. Under clothing, it gives ... an unflattering appearance of a sad bust profile.
