I bought this bra in a sister size to my usual 28F and altered the band down.
It fits okay. If I S&S very much, it seems I get a tiiiny little quadboob. I don´t know if one cups size up would be good or too much. Anyway, after a while my boobs adjust to the cups very well. I did notice that the underwires don´t sit all the way against my skin, there is a tiny gap. This could be due to the bra construction, but also too small cups. Straps don´t adjust all the way, but there are plenty of options. The strap adjusting is not like ...it usually is, there is a metal clasp and certain options were to adjust it to. I cannot explain this in English, please see pics!
What is best in this bra is that it is VERY SOFT!! I didn´t know a bra could be that soft!! Very comfortable, and definitely a must-have for yoga =) The band has 3 hooks + eyes which is very good. I think this bra offers quite good support and I can also go jogging in it. It is maybe not as supportive as, say, Panache sports, but it is definitely quite good! Read more 97 more words
This is a pretty comfortable bra-- really stretchy, so the band is super loose on me. I could fit my whole arm behind the band, for sure. My only major complaint with it is that the straps seem to be particularly wide-set, so I am constantly having them fall off my shoulders. The lace sometimes also pokes out under my collar, so I have to be careful what sort of shirt I wear this bra with.
I was incredibly bummed to be sized out of the "Hidden Glamor". While this one still gives me miniscule quad boob, the elastic nature of the cups is much more forgiving, and the lack of even tiny padding helps, too.
I can already tell this is going to be an "ahh" bra. One that I feel relieved slipping into. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
As a bonus, I got it off eBay, at a large discount.
I'm in love with this bra. The stretchy lace of the cups is very forgiving and comfy. A little back fat escapes the narrow band but it's not a big deal.
EDIT: I realize now that the "back fat/side bulge" escapage is really breast tissue that's not being held in because the cups were too small. I wore it for about 15 minutes and the wires were digging into my breast tissue.
It works well under tees. The wings and band do a great job of holding things in and creating a smooth line. I am unable to fill the upper cups - when I bend over or twist my torso, the empty cup creates a line and shows through my shirts.
This is for the nude colored Natori. I love this bra. It is the most comfortable wire bra that I have ever worn. I agree with all of the good reviews on bratabase about this bra. It is just a tad bigger than the magenta color.
This for the red colored bra. The band is 20.5" brand new. It fits great like the nude colored bra. It's just a tad smaller in the band than the nude colored Natori. It's definitely a favorite of mine. Even though the band is tight like a 28" band, it's so comfortable. There's no gaping in the cups. The cups are a tad wide, but it's not a problem. I don't really have narrow or wide roots. This bra is fine for medium-wide roots. I would rather have the cups be just a tad too wide than too narrow. It's a really pretty red color, I think it is called magenta.
This is a serious push up bra and I do like it. It gives me a pretty rounded shape considering it's a push up and I like rounded--not pointy. Unfortunately the underwires are digging into my ribs. I've investigated this issue and I think it's because the band is too loose and/or the cups are better for shallow breasts. I think I'm more projected and need more room in the bottom of the cup. I'll need to return this one. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":-(" />
Me: even shaped, slightly FOB, average projection, wide set.
I received this bra from another user who told me that the bra cups are too tall and the band too big. The tallness of the cups is a deal-breaker for me also. It fits like a full-coverage bra on me, which I do not think is how the bra should fit. The cups look goofy on me. They are just too tall.
The band is extremely stretchy, which I don't prefer. I feel like the straps are doing more work than they should be. Although the straps are comfortable, the fit would be so much less terrible if the band were tighter.
The color combination is gorgeous. It's a shame that the shape of this bra is a total disaster. It looks fine under t-shirts at least.
Band is true to size at first, but stretches out very quickly. Bra is very shallow in the bottom of the cup and I get orange in a glass. It's pretty comfy besides the edges of the wires stab me at the gore.
Just starting on with properly sized bras, but so far this is my favorite! I got it to be an every day bra that will work under most of my work shirts/t-shirts, and this is perfect for that. The subtle pattern gives it a little elegance but doesn't show through, and the padding is just enough for modesty. I can't comment yet on durability/stretchiness, but I'll update after time.
These seems pretty perfect of my natural shape, which is projected, slightly full on bottom, with tall shallow roots. My breasts are a little conical so unlined bras have too little shaping; this rounded them out nicely. My breasts are ...also fairly close-set, but the gore on this is so low it's not an issue. I think my roots are pretty average, not particularly wide or narrow, and the wires seem to extend far enough without poking.
For overall look, I have to say nothing amazing is happening. My breasts are supported and look full and natural, but they're more pinned to the side than anything else, so no stunning cleavage. That's fine, though, because cleavage is not what I was looking for in this one.
Overall, a great low-profile, comfortable every day bra. Read more 92 more words
This is a really pretty bra and it works really well for shallow boobs! I wear this bra on my smaller days and it fits pretty well.
My only complaint is that the wires are really wide, and since I had to tighten the band for my smaller ribcage, it digs in uncomfortably in some areas.
I found this for $5 at TJ Maxx, if they had more I would've bought them all! This is an amazing bra, it fits me so well, it's so cute and modest too! The only issue I have *sometimes* Is that the too lace might peak through a tank top or dress but that's bearable! I love this bra!!!
My shape: slightly shallow teardrop/FOB with super wide/tall roots and very close-set tissue in the middle.
This review is for the Kimono Violet colorway.
In spite of how much the band stretches, I like the Feathers bra! I have basically decided that, since it becomes affordable during Nordstrom's anniversary sale and on ebay periodically, as long as the Feathers is available, it is worth being a yearly purchase. I will eventually get around to altering my black one (which is now definitely too big), but I am laaaaaazy, and PURPLE.
Pretty bra is pretty! It fits the same as before, with a nice natural shape and edges that really disappear under clothes. It will stretch, I can tell, but I plan on saving this bra for semi-special occasions rather than every day to help it last longer because I love the color so much. And it's comfy! Hooray!
The matching shorts are a size M and since my butt is 40", they fit nicely.
Super comfy. Was surprised this size (32D) fit me, but the band is nice and snug and the cup fits well. I like that it doesn't come up super high on my chest, as I wear sports bras with leotards for dance. Also like that it isn't a t-strap!
Finally tried the notorious Feathers bra! It is far too shallow and wide set for my shape. It's made of a lovely fabric, is super soft and really pretty overall. If it fit I would definitely wear it under see-through tops! I was surprised at how it does not feel very substantial as far as bras go. The band is nice and tight though, so I see why people love it soo much!
I got a screaming deal on it off the clearance rack ($3!!), so I don't even mind! I get to pass that savings on to another woman who will hopefully love it!
Yeah! I could not believe my eyes! I already found a great home for it too: someone who was struggling to afford bras at Nordstroms or even used on here.
This bra is gorgeous and comfortable, delicate lace overlay against a contrasting color.
It is unlined, and seems like it would stretch out easily so I don't wear it everyday.
The decoration would show under thin t-shirts, but it is not as obvious as bras I own in similar styles.
The straps seems to be slightly wider and slightly closer together than the average bra. This works for me because I am petite and often have problems with falling straps even though *for my frame* my shoulders are not narrow.
The cups seem to be a little more shallow and wider than other bras I own in similar ...styles. Because of this, I have a little bit of quad boob if I move certain ways, even though this is the correct size (there is a tiny bit of extra space on the sides and bottom/back of the cups, especially on my smaller boob).
The band is perfect for me in a 30. The center gore rests against my sternum, and it is not too tight. I can forget I am wearing it. Read more 75 more words
You got a Natori Feathers for $3?! Wow.
