I'm not sure why I couldn't find this bra in the database. According to the listing it is Panache 9606 Arianna Molded Plunge Bra, and according to the tag it is Panache Black. At any rate I bought it on sale in what I've now learned is the wrong size for me. Band feels a little too tight. Significant gapping even after scooping/swooping and tightening the straps. Gore sits flat at the sternum but lots of room all the way around the root. Won't be keeping.
Returning. I bought this thinking it was in US sizing (I've since learned my lesson) and it's far too big. The strap fits nicely but there's still gapping even after scooping and swooping and adjusting the straps. Cuts into my armpits a lot too.
My shape: close set, center full, full on bottom, average/narrow width roots, tall shallow roots, soft tissue.
First of all, I must preface this review with the following: I bought this bra fully knowing that if would never be the perfect fit for me. The gore is taller than what I like and wider as well. However, when I saw the beautiful Rose Gold color I said what the heck, let's just try it out!
First impressions upon receiving it is that the color is truly gorgeous! Also the lace used on the cups is very soft on skin contact. Plus I absolutely love the design/pattern of it. I figured ...the cups would be a little too deep and maybe make my boobs pointy, and I was willing to give it a try, but these cups run deep! Cup depth is 10.6" and width is 5.3". My best fitting unlined bra at the moment is my 32E - Curvy Kate » Ellace Balcony Bra (CK4401) which has a cup depth of 10" and a width of 5.3". I have lots of wrinkling on the sides, and I'm pretty sure sizing down would be okay since the lace is pretty stretchy. The top of the stretch lace is very forgiving on softer breasts and has enough stretch to mold to your breasts without giving unsightly quad-boob. The gore might be bothersome for all-day wear, can't be sure since I've only just tried it on. Surprisingly enough, I didn't even get the murderous feel of the Panache wires from this one which I was fully expecting.
The band is comfortable on loosest hooks and the fabric has a satiny look and feel, looks much nicer than all of the other Panache models I tried. The keyhole in the front with the dangling charm is adorable, as is the fabric bow, I love the thoughtfulness of it and the way it looks on. The seams and stitching are beautifully done throughout and it's such a delight to see. I also loved that they used gold-toned hardware on the hooks, charm and straps. The color just compliments the color of the fabric beautifully and gives it a warmness to it.
I see here that this bra is linked to the Panache Black line, maybe that's why I feel it's so different in terms of softness and quality than the other Panache bras I tried. Read more 292 more words
This is my best fitting molded bra so far. I have narrow rooted, close set, highly projected breasts. This bra is super soft and supportive and fits comfortably. Definitely will be my go-to every day bra from now on.
Gives great cleavage and a lovely smooth line. However, the wire popped out after a few months and the store wouldn't give me a refund - nor would Panache. Really disappointed because I miss wearing it!
It feels like it fits really well but I'm not sure about the somewhat pointy shape it gives me or the way it has my center-full breasts point out a bit instead of forward.
I'm 28E/F projected, narrow/tall roots, centerfull. Though this bra was a little too wide at the wire, it did have a lot of immediate projection at the wire and overall. My only complaint was that I'm a too tall rooted for this bra to work, so I had some major quadboob at the upper edge. This would likely be a better fit for average/shorter rooted gals.
I ordered a bunch of bras to try, and this was the best-fitting of the bunch. The quality seems nice, it gives a nice shape, and in general fits me pretty well. As is the case with most bras, the gore is a bit high and wide for me personally, as I am close set. Even with a little digging, the gore tacked and was tolerable. The wire is just a little wide for me, but not too bad. My measured band size is a 30, but I don't like the feeling of a too-snug band. This rides up a bit in the back on the loosest hook, but I'm worried that sizing down in the band would be uncomfortable. I might just try the tighter hooks. All in all, this is a lovely bra, seems well-made, and adds some pizazz to an ordinary moulded cup bra with a lace band, center gore details, and lace on the straps. (I didn't include the strap lace in the measurement.)
This bra is electric pink - it is vibrant! The colour and lace detailing on the straps and band are extremely beautiful. This really looks like a luxury bra.
As far as moulded bras go, this might be the most narrow and projected that I have tried. The wires were not obnoxiously wide (Freya Idol - I'm looking at you) and there is a decent amount of immediate projection. The cups were quite a match-up for my shape - I'm very FOT, so moulded bras can be really hit or miss. For someone who is more even, or FOB, this would be a great option for a fun t-shirt bra.
This is my third try/third size for this bra. Once again, this one doesn't fit either. I guess I just have to chalk it up to style. Maybe the cup is too tall, because it mostly fit very comfortably. The biggest issue was it gaped with anything other than perfect posture. The band was perfect as well as the height of the cup & wings under the arms. What I think was happening is the gore is too wide & tall for me and was doing something weird there. Bummer too! I'd really like to find the perfect seamless cup. For reference, I am functionally FoB, projected, with average roots, and sit low on chest.
Only tried on this bra in Nordstrom in November 2015, didn't purchase. This shape isn't for me; I feel like my boobs look sad. The bra is very lightweight though.
Eclipse in 28K I am adding this bra for data/informational purposes only. This Bra is not owned by me at the time of addition to the database.
Eclipse is an unpadded underwire balconette/side support bra. The color is blush and black, which is a pale peach with black accents. There is no texture or pattern on this bra. There are 3 parts to the cup, in the standard format.
The band measures 24.5 to a max of 31” with 3 hooks and 3 rows of eyes.
Cup Depth as measured by: 1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance. ...This measurement is: 14.25”
2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance. This measurement is: 16.5”
I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.
Very soft, silky fabric on the outside of the cups, feels lovely to touch. The wings are lined with the same material. Good depth and projection for my averagely projected, tallish boobs but I had a bit of quadboobing and would fit better in a 30FF. The lace on the front of the straps is very pretty and not at all scratchy. I found it very comfortable and sometimes forgot I had it on.
The material of this bra is lovely: shiny, soft and comfortable. There's a lot of lace, tough to hide under shirts, a little too much for my taste. The band is nice and wide but super stretchy. However, the main issue for me is the cups: came nowhere close to filling out the top and the edges rubbed into my armpits a little. Cups simply too tall, not something sizing down would have fixed. Otherwise great perky shape. Seems solid and supportive in the cups.
I have the Panache Black Odette which fits quite nicely. This one is very similar to it. It is a thin molded cup with a seamed lace overlay. The lace itself doesn't show under a thin top, or even the scallopped lace edge which is just below the top edge of the cup. But the vertical seam most definitely does show, and to me is a major distraction, especially since it is not structural at all, except for contouring the lace to the cups. (It would have created a much nicer profile to eliminate the vertical seam and instead shape the lace over the cups with ...either darts or pleats along the bottom of the cups.) It does however have wider wings than the Odette, with plastic boning and a panel of non-stretch mesh between the cups and the boning. Therefore, it has much better side support. No side or back bulge here. The straps are attached to the cups with a twin grosgrain ribbon, which serves to split the support from the very outer edge of the cups to closer above the apex. This seems to help minimize gaping and keep the Tail of Spence inside the cup. Some have complained the outer edge of the cups feel too tall, but I don't find it uncomfortable at all, despite my being short-waisted but low-set. The gore is only 3/4" wide, and 2.5" tall. So the girls are kept very front and center. On me, at 6.5" between apexes, it's slightly narrower than 'au naturale'. This would be the perfect bra if they could eliminate the vertical seam. It's much too distracting and not attractive at all...but that's just my opinion! Otherwise, it's a gorgeous bra!
EDIT: I modified this bra slightly by adding a third piece of grosgrain ribbon (the same width, also black) at the straps. Instead of two straps split just above the cups there are now three. I attached the top of the ribbon exactly where the other two are (which is approximately 2" above the cup line). The bottom of the ribbon is attached equidistant from the others, and if the ribbon had not been cut, it would cross over the apex of the cup. This little bit of extra ribbon serves to provide better support, prevents gaping and esthetically is much more appealing. (A general sewing or decorating rule is to group things in odd numbers, such as buttons and pillows). The takeaway lesson here is that having that little bit of non-stretch strap above the cups is tremendously helpful with support throughout the cup without having to over-tighten the straps. And having the centermost strap angled toward the apex reduces gaping. It's a win-win!
I am very pleased with this bra! It has a good amount of immediate projection, which I have difficulty finding for molded cup bras. It isn't invisible under thin shirts, due to the line in the lace overlay; however, it works for medium-thickness or patterned shirts that I would not wear with an unlined bra. It is very comfortable, although the band is quite stretchy and I worry it will wear out soon. The bra is gorgeous, and gives my full-on-bottom breasts a bit of a cakes-on-a-plate effect, which I have not experienced in any other bra.
A nice molded bra, very pleasant fabric, beautiful lace along the band and straps. I wish the band was tighter, 26E would be great for me, but undortunately Panache doesn't have such sizes.
My shape: tallish, widish, splayed roots, very close set at the top; evenly full top and bottom; slightly center full; pendulous; need a good bit of depth at the wire. Best fits are Panache 34G/36FF.
I feel like this bra is my BEC. Like, the bra basically fits and really doesn't have all that much wrong with it, I JUST DON'T LIKE IT. I don't like the rosy peach lining color against the black, I don't like how the top goes straight across my chest, I don't like that it doesn't give my breasts the kind of uplift that my Jasmine does. I don't like the skinny straps.
There are ...some minor fit issues. The gore is very tall, much taller than my Jasmine for all that bratabase thinks this actually is a Jasmine. The straps are wide set and cut into my armpits. So do Jasmine's, but Esme's thicker fabric rubs my arms too.
Esme has the stretchy softer fabrics typical of Panache Black. They feel nice but the softness is a disadvantage in the cups causing them to be unable to lift pendulous tissue the way Jasmine does. Straps are skinny and stretchy, and since the wings are pretty tall I can't shorten them enough to get more lift.
Combine all this with an appearance that to me is just "meh" and this bra is not a keeper. Read more 119 more words
Very beautiful! Are you going to try it in a size down? It’s really beautiful and I adore this colour.
