    My shape: FOB, projected, short roots, center full.

    I believe the gore is too tall for me (not sure if I like those tall gores, or if they work for me - I'm used to wearing V.S. bras that are quite low gore) as it seems like it's pressing on my sternum after just a short time. I think the cups fit perfectly, even though the ABTF calculator put me at 30F today, this is technically one cup larger/one band bigger. Anyhoo, I ordered this bra from Amazon so she's going back! Was awesome to try this bra on though. The cups are like a perfect match for ... my breasts, I mean, the cups fit so well.

    This is the first time I remember in my entire life putting on a bra and then smiling : ) The cups fit that well.

    Before I was stuffing myself into 32DD/34DD V.S. bras - these new size attempts are much better! Although I honestly am surprised that the 32 band didn't fit me, it feels good, but it's too loose already. The other two bras I currently own in my "new sizing," are both too tight in the band. (Or are they too small in the cups?) They're both longlines, so they're difficult to do the "upside down and backward" thing with the band. But they both don't work for different reasons than that (cup shape). I need a more narrow and projected shape: was told by a bra-fitting lady from SFYS (I don't live Toronto, and I've never used their store, but I was emailing them about a bra...) that the Panache Envy is most similar to Ewa Michalak BM style? Sooo, yeah...kind of in between the 30 and 32 band r.n.

    I'm going to return this, but I still have 4 more bras coming in the mail from Amazon, lol. Trying to figure out my true size - in this model it looks like it would be 30FF, which is supposed to arrive on Friday, so we shall see : ) Also, I'm going to compare to Panache Jasmine. This was a great experience trying on this bra for my Bra Odyssey quest, a near success!!

    Also, you can tell that this bra is totally "nude" on me. When I was looking at the thumbnail pictures on my phone, it looked like I was naked.

      I’m going to echo bubblegums feedback in that panache gores kill me! Seriously, I find them particularly high and firm and cannot deal with them at all. I’m also centre full and I bet that is why you’re having the same issue. Good luck with your next bra!

      Aww, thanks margesimpson ! I appreciate it...have only discovered my actual bra size abt a month ago. I've recently had a very *modest* weight loss (like about 8 pds since Dec) and so I was googling online calculators to try to figure out my dress size and then bra size. Well, wouldn't you know it, I came across the "A Bra That Fits" online calculator (I remember I was using another calculator, I believe it was this one https://www.omnicalculator.com/everyday-life/bra-size which uses the outdated +4 method, and I said to myself "that's not right!" so I kept searching).

      Anyway, I ordered a couple of bras, and then after just a few weeks, I kind of start to feel burned-out looking for my ABTF, LOL. But then I started to have patience and I started to feel better about it. This is a wonderful resource, as well as the ABTF community of Reddit and there's one on FB group. I also like @theirishbralady on Instagram, she kind of just goes over the facts. It's so life-changing, right?

      Anyway, well, I feel so much better that I'm not stuffing myself into the wrong sizes anymore; they were totally not flattering either! : )

      I'm excited to try Comexims, but I actually ordered them last week from Breakout Bras. I can track the package from the US, but not here in Canada, so I will only get a few notifications, not tracking like Canada Post, I believe. Breakout Bras gave me a 20% off coupon when I started to put bras in my online shopping cart, then just left them overnight; they try to tempt you. But then I had to order 3 bras to get the Free Shipping. So, yeah, we'll see how that goes! : ) Take care!

    • 1

      Oh that’s exciting! I hope the comexim bras work out for you. The sizing is tricky but I think it’s totally worth it to figure it out. They are light as air! Ps I totally got exhausted from trying to find abtf too. I took a break from it and when I got back to it felt much better.

      Yeah panache wires and gores are brutal on me too, so I totally sympathize with you. You could try a Panache Ava/Ana plunge which is lower than the balconette but, I personally felt like it was still digging in my sternum (though it was also too small in 30F). The EM BM is a lower gore and narrower all over. I think you’re going to like them much more.

    HOW IT FEELS: Cups fit nicely, shape is pretty ideal – I like the 2 vertical seams, but the horizontal seam shows through any type of shirt. The band is super firm, not much stretch at all – might try with a short extender for comfort. Overall really nice bra!

    Update: gore is at the exact wrong height for me - need at least .25” higher or lower. I think the 3” gore is at the perfect spot for my close-set breasts to sit on top of the gore wires and push it down. The band is firm enough that it ends up tilting the gore wire ends toward ... my sternum.

    ABOUT ME: Tall roots, very close set (less than a pinkie width between breasts), slightly center full, even vertical fullness (possibly functionally FOT due to tall roots). Average for projection, root width, and tissue softness/firmness. I think my tissue is soft enough to where shallower bras can work ok for me if they're more open on top, or taller cups.

    I'm a bit new to bra specifics, but I hope this review will be helpful. I bought this used, so the band was already stretched out a bit as well as the upper lace (which may be why the upper lace isn't lying flush). The band is quite tight. Stretched to the max, it the band goes to 32 inches, but resting on my table it's at 26 inches, which is a bit comical (though, I don't know, maybe that's normal?). I suggest sizing up in the band. For the cups, the bottoms fit fine, but the cup wrinkles on my left smaller boob, and it shows ... quite badly through shirts. People have recommended the Envy as a projected bra, but it seems I need an even more projected one. I'll probably end up folding in and sewing the cups a bit in as it's not returnable. Otherwise, it seems to be of good quality, and it looks very cute, especially in pink. Perhaps if I got a 34DD the bra would fit better (I was expecting the band to fit a 32in chest, sadly. I'll probably buy non-elastic band extenders also.)

    Band/Straps:
    * The band was comfortable enough on the middle hook. It's probably a little bit big for me and I could go down a size.
    * The fabric was soft, but I didn't find the lace on the bottom very comfortable.
    * The straps were uncomfortable and were too wide.

    Cups:
    * The fit was off; the cup was way too big with a lot of gaps on top on the smaller boob, but were fine on the larger boob. I didn't have that problem with the Panache Jasmine Balconnet Bra (6951).

    Gore/Underwire:
    * The wires seemed to properly wrap around my boob, and didn't dig into my armpit.
    * The center gore was way too tall, and it immediately dug into my sternum when I put it on. The wires were stiff and unforgiving.

    Shape: firm tissue; projected; tons of immediate projection; full on bottom; even-to-centre full; close set; splayed, short and narrow roots.

    This bra is a complete shape mismatch for me.

    If I feel at the back of the band, the clasp is not sitting flush to my back where my spine is and I can basically put my finger under that gap without even touching the bra at all. Basically, the middle of the band floats at the back whilst simultaneously making lumps and bumps of back/shoulder fat. When trying on backwards and upside down, again, it's better but not... right? Gore feels like it's pushing outwards and away from my body at the top. Issue of gore slightly sitting on left breast. Loose lace at the top and plenty of wrinkling at bottom as there is not enough immediate projection for me. Outer seam and the outer wire channel too high so roll down at the top as they are literally in my armpit. Won't stay under IMF. Cups too high for my short roots - digging into armpits.

    Hasn't set fit

    When I got this out of the box I was like, ‘this looks so grandma-like’ - bought the beige one and it wasn't grandma-vintage, just grandma. It fit! But I returned because I still don’t like the design and don’t love balconettes.

    About this Bra

    Purchasing:
    * $67 on Amazon with free Prime shipping & returns (not Amazon Wardrobe)
    * Available in black, white, nude, and some fun colors.

    Band:
    * One layer of stretch mesh.
    * Elastic at top of band.
    * Wing support: soft seaming
    * Continuous band - wires lower than wings.
    * Back close with 3 columns of hooks.

    Straps:
    * barely ridged elastic
    * stiff (stand up on their own)
    * full adjust
    * leotard back

    Cups:
    * 3-seam (4-piece) half cup
    * Called a full cup (by Panache) and a balconette (by Bratabase), but I call this a half cup. Straps sit at the outside of the cup, not over the apex, so not a full cup. ... Center edge of cup is diagonal, not horizontal, so not a balconette.
    * unpadded, stiff underwire
    * Top of cup is unlined, stretch lace.
    * Rest of cup is unlined, non-stretch mesh.
    * Soft cups (no molding or padding).

    Fit

    About me: petite with wide horizontal oval, slightly conical breasts
    * average projection
    * wide-set (3 fingers width of space between breasts)
    * very wide roots (extend past the mid-axillary line)
    * even horizontal fullness (just barely outer full)
    * short root height, average vertical placement
    * mix of firm & soft tissue (front molds to shape of bra, sides push wimpy wires away)
    * conical shape (but will squish to round)
    * full on top (2/4 shape, not even or very full) - BUT functionally even to FOB due to short roots and soft tissue
    * petite (5'3") so have narrow frame
    * front (anterior) rib flares

    Band:
    * length: rides up
    * wings: too short, boobs escape
    * no axillary skin spillage

    Gore: Comfortable, tacks, good spacing, height fine.

    Cups:
    * Gives breasts an oval shape.
    * Wires wide enough (SO RARE).
    * Top of cup smooth.
    * Bottom of cup wrinkles.

    Straps:
    * too far apart, slip
    * adjust short enough

    Comfort & Fit Summary
    * Band too big.
    * Didn't try other sizes. Not sure why. Per the measurements table, the 30FF would have a smaller band with the same cup width and depth.

    I bought this size based on @brathatfits recommendation, even though I don't think I'm that big. Oddly enough I fill out the apex on both sides with little wrinkoing. It is incredible for keeping the girls up, but the wires are too wide which makes it uncomfortable as it jabs into my side.

    Me: Projected, narrow, center full, full on top, close-set, soft.

    Panache Envy is one of the bras I was sure would fit me best from the reviews and measurements, but I was oddly unimpressed. It's not a bad fit. Just, like, a B+. The gore didn't quite tack - I could fit a finger in the gap. The stretch lace didn't quad, but it did seem to be at about the limit of its capacity. I've heard that this is very similar to the Panache Jasmine, but that one fit me much better on all fronts.

    Lots of empty space at bottom of bra on all sides - cup size is fine but underwires are too large and I suspect the projection is a mismatch. The center gore is in a good place but the stiffness was a bit uncomfortable. I really wanted to love this one as it seems quite comfortable and the stretchy top fabric is a dream.
