The stretch lace doesn't lay as flat on me as the Jasmine, but it still works great. The shape is good, maybe even better than on the Jasmine - for me, it is a mix of perky and round, mostly round. Jasmine is rounded on me too but slightly less lift and one side is just a hair pointy. Technically speaking, Jasmine fits better. Jasmine comes up a little higher in gore/cups so it masks the bigger boob's tendency to have a little quadboob at the gore (not enough to go up a size). I also filled out Jasmine's bottom better. On Envy one side has wrinkles on ... the bottom. BUT Jasmine is generally itchy and uncomfortable, Envy is much better. I frequently have uncomfortable pressure in my stomach coming from the part of the band just below the gore, in pretty much any bra. I frequently experience bras being tight and digging into my stomach in front, but being loose in the back and causing back pain! Maybe I have a rounded/high stomach? Anyway, Envy has a nice snugness to it, but the front is considerably more comfortable than pretty much all bras. I think there's some magic to the criss-cross elastic construction there.
I just got this bra and it's night so maybe in the morning my opinion will change, but the houndstooth pattern is really subtle.. like hard to see at all. If you look carefully, you can tell there is some kind of pattern.. and that's about it. I think it adds more depth than a solid fabric, but still acts as a simple basic at the same time.
