Big fan of houndstooth, especially in larger size patterns. Doesn't really apply here, but can I say how nice and sophisticated this bra look is? Pink normally isn't my thing but it really works here. Picked up the matching bottoms in a size too small and unfortunately couldn't find any in the right size after that.
Otherwise, fits as I expect Jasmine to; I know some don't like the slightly pointy aspect but personally I'm a fan of the retro-like appearance.
Coming up on a year in this Envy and it's still wonderful. I actually love wearing it under white tops, because I'm just light enough that it doesn't scream its presence through the fabric.
Jasmine tends to be one of my go-tos as an every day bra, this is my third. I'm a fan of geometric, chevrons, etc; patterns that are generally non floral and structured repeating. This is a good non fussy pattern with interest that's not overpowering. It's certainly something different as far as patterns go, a black and tan crochet appearance.
As far as fit, feels and supports the same as my other two colorways, Mosaic and Houndstooth. I'm sorry I missed out on the original Jasmine; the bird print is super cute. I have not tried any of the other colorways, tho' I was a little tempted with the past season's Blue Floral, so I can't comment to the comparative fit. I think the fabric on the print is a bit more stiff, but that will probably fade with a couple of washings.
Pluses: + firm fabric gives good support + design is pretty - embroidered leaves on sheer fabric + straps are comfortable and wide enough
Minuses: - the band (beneath the underwires) sometimes folds upward and/or digs into my rib cage under my breasts - the cups tend to wrinkle a bit unless your breasts are perfectly symmetrical - need to scoop and lift breasts into cups after laying down or reclining or cups will wrinkle - front gore underwire is squeaky / creaky (actually makes noise!)
This is one of my comfiest bras. Unbelievably comfy and smoothe. However the lace is a little flimsy, so that it doesn't give enough supports for me. The band is very firm. And the cup runs a bit small but not that much to go up a size. It fits like 34Hish.
As usual with Panache , the straps are far too wide set for my small shoulders. That said, I love this bra. I wasn't sure about the stretch lace at first, but it meshed with my soft breast tissue really well - and held me in! It was itchy at first, but my skin is very sensitive and a few gentle hand washes fixed the problem.
I don't love the shape it gives, it just makes everything look...a little sad. I think it may just be a shape incompatibility issue; despite the depth of the cups being right, I still get some quadbood because the top of the cup is fairly closed. The lace on the edge of the cups does not lay flat, but this does not show under clothes. I think the straps are longer compared to other bras the same size
This bra is very supportive and pretty, but I do have a few problems with it:
the straps are not quite long enough. The padded part of the straps links to the elastic part of the strap with a little plastic circle. Unfortunately, when I adjust the straps correctly, the circle sits directly on top of my shoulder and it hurts. I think part of this problem is brought on by the cups being about 1 size too small.
I'm also on the fence about the band. On the plus side, it is firm. It is one of the only bras I have tried where the band stays in place ...all day and I don't have to worry about adjusting it. On the downside the band under the cups is wide enough that it can dig in as I move and has flipped under the cup edge to dig in painfully. I have somewhat fixed this problem by letting this section of the band flip up; not ideal but at least then it doesn't hurt me.
This bra is beautiful, though, and gives a nice shape. I would happily buy this bra again in a 36H, as I think that would alleviate most of the problems I have. Read more 98 more words
I own the Jasmine in the leopard colorway in a 38G but it was never great. I was always adjusting the band and pulling at the wires and just had a slight torpedo boob look going on which I wasn't a huge fan of. After having two other bras that are a 36 band and noticing the 38s were just stretching way too far from my body and riding up, I went for the Jasmine again in a 36GG. So far, it's awesome. I've been wearing this bra for about 9 hours so far with really no discomfort, which is a total win. The wires are still on the ...wide side for myself, there's some loose material when I lift my arms. There's still a bit of chafing near my underarms because the straps are a bit too wide for me but it's nothing compared to the 38G. I love the way this bra gives me a rounded shape- no more torpedoes! I can see why so many women swear by the stretch lace on this bra as well because the give is amazing. If it wasn't for that give this size would absolutely be a no-go. The gore on this size is SO much better too. I had to take pliers to the 38G to bend the wires out because they were driving me crazy, but this gore isn't that irritating at all. It IS a bit high for me but not painfully so. The 36 band was a great call because it's wonderfully snug but I don't feel like it's trying to kill me. My measurements tell me I should be in a 38 but I have more squish than I account for so the 36 is much more suitable. So far, I'm very pleased with the Jasmine again, the 38G was starting to make me hate it so much! This one will certainly be rotated in as one of my "best fitting" because I'm still yet to find the perfect one https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_confused.gif" alt=":s" />igh: https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Read more 240 more words
This review is for the 2015 Heather(light purple) colorway.
I am soft, short rooted, center full, pendulous, projected and narrowish.
This is a gorgeous looking bra in person. The color is a greyish purple that is much prettier in person. I just couldn't resist with this color. It flung itself into my cart, truly. I've tried the Andorra in 38G before in black and wasn't the happiest with it, but that was before I realized that most gores aren't going to tack on me.
The straps are not fully adjustable. On the front half of the strap there is a kind of felt underlay that softens the strap and I ...didn't notice near the strap irritation with this model. The straps are a touch wideset and might bother someone after a long while wearing the bra. The straps are rather short with the loss of them being fully adjustable.
The band itself is a pretty TTS 36, and felt a bit tight when I put it on. The bottom of the band extends across the bottom of the cups into the gore area where they criss cross. The wing height felt shorter than older models. I did have a lot of back fat, because the band was shorter in height than other models like the Envy.
The gore has the underwires touch at the top and the gore itself is slightly narrower than average. Still didn't tack at the top on me.
The cups themselves are a 3 part balconette, with an inner side sling on the outer cup of the bra. The entire upper lace part of the cup is stretch lace, allowing more shapes to fit in the cup. A touch shallow in the bottom, and center, and I do think the Envy is more projected. I had a round, lifted shape in the bra, with just a touch a spillover close to the gore, but not really noticeable under a shirt and I am very center full.
I have it in lilac/pink; and it is so very pretty. Pale purple and bright pink lace, what's not to adore?
Although the band hooked together easily without my arms in the straps, after I was strapped and swooped in, the band felt uncomfortably tight and both band and wires pinched my sides under my arms. A few hours of wear improved the tightness to a bearable degree.
Without clothes on I was probably too distracted by the dreamy prettiness of the bra to notice fit issues. However, under a (admittedly thin and over washed) tee shirt there was definite quad boob along the top rim of the cup, and the shape wasn't quite as natural/rounded as I like.
I'm keeping it, though, for wear under looser clothing, because it's so freakin' pretty.
I bought a black and a watermelonish pink color. The black is defiantly tighter in the cups and stabby under the arm also the lace isn't as soft but maybe a few washings would help it to be less stiff feeling? The pink is softer lace and hasn't poked under arm at all yet. Not sure why the difference the wires seem to be the same size and shape in both maybe because the black is smaller in the cups by a little bit. I Could use a smaller band size and 2-3 cup sizes up (in the size smaller band). I ordered one in a 36H to ...compare soon. Since the cups are too small the support side panels in the cups cut a crease into my boobs in the edge/side of the cup. Also quad boob muffins on top from the cups being a cup size or two too small.. I have like 3 inches of cleavage on the top so it isn't fitting me like a full cup bra should. Muffined cleavage! In the right size I think it would be a good fit though
Pros: lace is soft on the pink, pretty design and seems very supportive and uplifting
Cons: dark colors are smaller and less stretchy in the lace (black and dark purple?) Can be pokey underarm Read more 114 more words
Fits well, Gives a nice round uplifted shape. I'm not a fan of the stretch lace--I feel it's too loose. A firmer stretch lace would be way better. Wires are wide for me and the straps are at the outer most part of my underarm. I'm afraid this is going to lead to discomfort.
Best pro for me--plenty of immediate center projection. My breasts are full in the middle
I'm wearing my usual Panache band size and that is the right choice. I am noting some problems with the gore not completely tacking, but I'll have to check that again. Otherwise, the fit is similar to the other two Panache colorways I own.
When I bought this bra, it was PERFECT. After losing 30lbs, it is less perfect. But I'm replacing it with the same model because I love love love it.
And, by the way, I've had this bra for two years, wearing it at least twice a week and it still looks nearly new. It is a wonderful bra and I highly recommend the model. Just this size doesn't fit me anymore.
I wear this bra on the days where my Jasmine is dirty. It fits, but I don't find ti to be the most comfortable. I might want to try a cup size larger, but I'm honestly not sure if that would fix my problems. The band on this is very snug!
I'm nursing, 6 months post partum, went from a prepregnancy 38DD (likely a wrong fit) to a correct 36GG. From r/abrathatfits I measured a 34G.
The lace cups are soft, stretchy, and hold me in very well. The band is initially tight; I expect it to relax a bit over time. Supports very well. The side boning does feel rough. I bet some moleskin over the edges would help with the friction there. Overall the best fit bra I've had in years.
This is the best bra I have come across to date. No poking anywhere and the cups seem large enough! My only complaint is the the center gore is quite high so I can't wear a lot of my lower cut shirts with this one. It fits so well that I recently ordered another one in a different colorway!
I honestly loved this bra when I first got it. Mainly because it fit a lot better than the 38/40H (US) bras I was wearing.
The band was comfortable at first on the first hook but it then became quite stretchy after a few wears. I like a tighter band for support so I tend to wear it on the third hook even though it really isn't as tight as I'd prefer.
The cups are made of a stretchy lace which is wonderful because I thought I would have a less chance of quadboobing with the stretch. Unfortunately, that isn't the case. Though when I get my breasts ...situated at the beginning, everything looks wonderful and I love how the bra isn't padded on top so it doesn't have any sort of bulge under shirts. Definitely a plus for me.
The underwires, in my case, don't extend high enough which means the cup doesn't extend to meet them to where I can feel completely encompassed. Again, it might be a fit issue for just me.
The best part of the bra for me was that the gore actually sat against my sternum. I have never, ever had that happen. Unlike others, I have had zero problem with the gore being too low or high. It was quite unnoticeable.
Overall I really do love this bra. I just need to get a cup or two bigger and a smaller band.
