    Fits

My current starting-point size is 30FF, and I had originally ordered this bra in 32FF because it was said to run small in both cup and band. My verdict: Cups, yes; band, not really.

Cups: I needed one cup size up for my even fullness; those who are markedly full on top will probably want to go up two cup sizes, since the tops of the cups are quite closed. (Actually, I'd strongly recommend that the FOT try the Parfait By Affinitas Charlotte (6901) padded plunge version instead, as it's more open on the top.) The cups are shallowish, but have enough room at the bottom to ... accommodate my immediate projection.

Wires: On the wider side, although not the widest I've worn. The wires are very tall under the arms, great for those of us who need that to corral sideboob and usually can't find tall enough wires. (Not a good choice for the narrow-rooted, nor the high-rooted, nor the short-torsoed.)

Wings: Also quite wide, giving me smoother lines under my arms and on my back than any other bra I've tried.

Band: I'd say it's nicely firm, but not a full band size small. I'd try your usual band size first, unless you need/strongly prefer bands on the looser side. It has three hooks in this size range.

    Hasn't set fit

I tried this bra on in a boutique, mostly because there were so few bras in my size at the store that I tried on anything the saleswoman brought me, even though my intention was a smooth t-shirt bra. Aesthetically, it's a very pretty piece. At the time that I tried it, I was probably thinking how out of place it would be in my wardrobe of otherwise plain things. But the dusty rose color was so pretty and the style uniquely retro. So early in my journey to find a bra in my "real" size, I felt like for once I was able to try on pretty ... things like smaller-chested women and I appreciated that. The fitter brought it in in size 30G (my usual UK size), but it was too small in the cup. I seem to have this problem with Parfait. I believe the straps were also a little long, so I couldn't get it all the way up in my IMF. At the time, I didn't think of altering it and there is no larger cup size in a 30 band. All the fit issues were too much combined. On the plus side, the contour padding on this bra is extremely thick. It was like wearing body armor, but I didn't feel like it gave any extra bulk, just a nice shape (minus the quad-boob) and good support. I hate that I'm sized out of this item, because I would pick one up just to have a fancy addition to my closet. I normally wear a 30G, not a 30GG, so it's doubly annoying that I can't fit into it. The other Parfait By Affinitas Charlotte Padded Bra (6901) which is not a balconnet comes in more sizes, but the wires and cups are far too tall on my frame. Sad, because that's a cute bra, too.

Parfait Charlotte Half-Cup Underwire Bra. (The name of the bra in the title got changed, not by me. The invoice and bra tag both confirm that the bra I got is the half-cup version. This is the one that has a bandeau-ish look to it.)

First off, this is such a good looking bra! I absolutely love the way it looks and wish oh-so-desperately that I could keep it! Unfortunately, that's not going to happen. I heard that this line ran off in both cup and band, so I figured that a 30 band would work for me (I'm normally a 28 band and could probably fit in a ... 26), which it did. No problem there. The cup size, however, was more off than I'd heard. The reviews I read said that it ran one cup size small, so I felt confidant ordering a 30G since I'm normally a 28G and a 30G would be the equivalent of a 28GG. Nope. I still need at least another cup size up, possibly two. Because this line only goes up to G cups, I'm just out of luck with this bra. I wish Affinitas would expand their size range, because I would probably buy two or three of these (told you I loved it). Oh well.

I have very wide-set, shallow, full-on-bottom breasts and the width of the wires one the sides was fine for me. I think that with a larger cup, this would have worked well for my shape, so if you have a similar shape and slightly smaller breasts (less than a GG cup), you might consider giving this a try. I've read a few reviews of other Affinitas bras that mentioned quality issues, but the bra I got seemed quite well made, with good materials. Also, even though the cup size was quite off, the bra was still very comfortable.
