    Didn't fit

This bra has the reputation of running small in the cup and tight/firm in the band, but I found that although it definitely does run a cup size small, for me the band fitted true to size and did not feel unusually firm.

I currently wear 30FF in Panache and lined Cleos; 32F in the (notoriously tight-banded) unlined Cleos. However, in the Charlotte Balconette, I need to exchange this 32FF for 30G, since I can easily pull the 32 band four or five inches away from my back even on the tightest hooks.

Speaking of the hooks, I love the three-hook closure and the wideness of the band to each ... side of it, which equals less back fat. This is the only bra I have ever tried on that has wings wide enough and wires high enough for me! (Although I'm petite, my breasts are rooted fairly low on my chest.) It contains sideboob and gives a lovely, smooth line under the arms. The Charlotte is pretty much perfection in that department.

If you need low wires and/or narrow wings, stay far, far away from this bra! Ditto if you have narrow and/or sloping shoulders, because the straps are the widest set I have ever encountered. Even my broad-for-my-height shoulders are barely wide enough for them.

Looks sexy as hell. (I'll definitely be getting matching panties when I get my 30G.) Gives a nice, rounded look under clothes; seams are somewhat visible, but I don't care about that. Gorgeous bra at a good price point.

I've heard that this bra runs small in both the band and cup, so I ordered it in both 30DD and 30F (the store was sold out of 30E). This one is too large in the cup, but the band is much firmer than I'd expect from a 30.

I bought this bra because I fell in love with it's looks and it's colour. That being said, I've had it for MONTHS and have literally worn it once. After reading a ton of reviews, I purchased it in my normal band size, but a cup size up, knowing that the band and cup ran on the small size. Even with this it's too small. The first few times I wore it, the tightness of the band bothered me, but this last time I've been comfortable with the snugness (I think I may have lost a little bit of weight, my bras are fitting weirdly!) Regardless, going a cup size up did not help, and I'm quadboobing. I've since bought the other version of this bra in a 32F which is a better fit all round.

    • What would you say the difference of the two versions of this bra is sizing-wise? I own the @http://www.bratabase.com/browse/parfait-by-affinitas/charlotte-6901/ in the rose colorway and would like to purchase this version as well, just in the purple colorway. I am a 32F in the charlotte plunge and my girls fill out the bra nicely, the band is perfect but have a bit of gaping near the top of the cups due to shape problems. Thoughts?

Parfait Charlotte Half-Cup Underwire Bra. (The name of the bra in the title got changed, not by me. The invoice and bra tag both confirm that the bra I got is the half-cup version. This is the one that has a bandeau-ish look to it.)

First off, this is such a good looking bra! I absolutely love the way it looks and wish oh-so-desperately that I could keep it! Unfortunately, that's not going to happen. I heard that this line ran off in both cup and band, so I figured that a 30 band would work for me (I'm normally a 28 band and could probably fit in a ... 26), which it did. No problem there. The cup size, however, was more off than I'd heard. The reviews I read said that it ran one cup size small, so I felt confidant ordering a 30G since I'm normally a 28G and a 30G would be the equivalent of a 28GG. Nope. I still need at least another cup size up, possibly two. Because this line only goes up to G cups, I'm just out of luck with this bra. I wish Affinitas would expand their size range, because I would probably buy two or three of these (told you I loved it). Oh well.

I have very wide-set, shallow, full-on-bottom breasts and the width of the wires one the sides was fine for me. I think that with a larger cup, this would have worked well for my shape, so if you have a similar shape and slightly smaller breasts (less than a GG cup), you might consider giving this a try. I've read a few reviews of other Affinitas bras that mentioned quality issues, but the bra I got seemed quite well made, with good materials. Also, even though the cup size was quite off, the bra was still very comfortable.

I'm torn about this bra. It's pretty and gives nice lift to my shallow breasts. However, it is a bit too snug in both the band and cups, so it's not very comfortable. I think if I were to size up it would be too big. The shape under clothing isn't nearly as nice as my Panache Cleo bras. Since I didn't get this as an every day bra, I'm not too worried about it.

The cup size is great, but the band is a bit small. It's really comfortable and looks great! I love the red color https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
