This bra is not the right fit for me. I have no idea how the fit is so wrong when I had a professional helping me. But, It is so comfy. I am super pleased to have a bralette that is cup and band sized not just small, medium, large. It is very soft all over. It is also lightly long line.
I bought this bra after outgrowing the same model in a different size (30DD). This cut has been my favorite for a long time, though it does have its drawbacks. The wires on all the Parfait Jeannie bras are intense, regardless of the bra size, which I mostly find helpful but which can be irritating at times. The band on the 30DD is very firm, which gives great support, but there are times the underwire creaks with movement.
For this new bra specifically, the 32DD, the straps are way too far apart for me. This was not the case with the other size I had had, and the ...band on this new bra also feels a little big, so it’s possible I should have stayed at the 30 band and just tried a different cup size.
Update: I did not end up wearing this bra beyond trying it on, because between the loose band and the spaced out straps it just wasn’t comfortable. Now that I prefer a larger band size, I decided to go back and try this bra again, and surprisingly discovered that it’s still loose on me. The stretched band for this bra is 33.5”, and the cups are fairly wide and shallow. Overall I unfortunately think that the shape and design of the Parfait Jeannie no longer works for me, which is a shame because back in the day this model was my very first Bra That Fits. Wow, this bra has such a stretchy comfy cup...if the wires fit me. Having close set breasts, I have mostly been trying on plunges. But some people say that a high gore can work, too. Not on this bra! It seemed to fit fine in the cup, and the measurements show that it should fit me, but I had to take it off quickly, b/c the pain on my ribs was severe. And the band is plenty big enough. So if you have a normal distance between your breasts, I recommend this on!
I really want to love this bra because it just looks so cute and sexy. I love all the different colorways; I love the retro style; I love the side support; I love the firm band. But the cups are just too wide for me and the wires are too tall, so they dig in under my arms and hurt.
This is currently my go-to bra. I think I should have gotten a 32FF, but the 34FF is still nice and tight and supportive. I have this in the red and black colorway, which feels really sexy. It's extremely comfortable; it's not one of those bras that I want to take off as soon as I get home from work. Sometimes I'll even fall asleep while wearing it.
A nice bralette that feels soft and somewhat supportive. Yay!
I did size up 1 cup (from 30FF). If you are on the bigger side of 30 (or whatever number), or sometimes wear a 32, definitely get the next size up. I sometimes wear 28, and am on the small side of 30, and this band is pretty tight (I will wear an extender or just bear with it until it stretches).
I'll probably get this in another color, because it is so comfortable, and sometimes I just don't feel like wearing a wire.
This was the first Dalis I ordered, but I decided to return it as the bottom band elastic kept creasing on me. I ordered a second one that did not have this issue, so hopefully it was a one-off.
(Due to the construction, the cup is extremely difficult to measure. Note that cup measurements are just an approximation, you will get different results if you measure the cups differently.)
After I tried the Parfait Adriana, I became interested in trying more bralettes from Parfait. Dalis is another great bralette from their current collection and is sold in bra sizing. However, note that this is really meant to be a comfort bralette, so the expectation is that this is great for wearing around the house, but wouldn't provide the kind of shaping, support, and coverage you might want for wearing outside of the house. With that in mind, let's talk about Dalis!
Dalis is made from a supersoft modal blend, which is pretty different from the nylon, mesh, and lace you typically find in the bralette ...world. The entire bra except the lace trim on the cups and straps is made from the same fabric, which is silky and comfortable against the skin. The construction is a little reminiscent of Adriana, but Parfait has made a few changes here. The band is a wide piece of elastic encased in a channel. Note that the first Dalis I ordered had a problem with the elastic immediately creasing within the casing, while the second one I ordered did not. I have no idea how or why this happened as they seem to be made exactly the same way. The band is firm yet comfortable, and feels TTS. In this size, there are three hooks, which you never see in a bralette in this size range.
The cups are set onto a curved piece above the band, acting as a cradle. The cups have a long bottom dart to the center of the cup, and the cups are rather small, with lace creating the center gore portion. The main thing is that the cups fit differently from Adriana, and seem to run a size small. 30DD feels too small for me, and I think that 30E would be better. This was the opposite of my experience with Adriana, where I ended up sizing down in the cup because the V neckline was cut too high. So, unless you are pretty shallow, I would keep your normal band size and go up one cup size. I also found that the seam of the cup didn't quite sit at the right place on my body, but this is a minor issue as I plan to just wear this at home anyway.
There is a lot of lace trim on the bra, so if you are into a clean, minimal aesthetic, this might be too much lace for you. However, the lace is soft, comfortable, and helps add detail to an otherwise simple bralette. The lace extends onto both sides of the straps as well as along the upper edge of the band in the back. There are no other trims.
This is a super comfortable bralette that actually provides support for small band sizes. While I can't speak to if this will provide enough support for larger breasts, it's a great option for small band people who can't fit into standard alphanumeric options designed for 32+ bands.

The short version of the story: Crazy short band! Crazy tall, shallow cups! Crazy long wires!
* Being convertible to a strapless, this has silicone on the top and bottom of the band, and also on the top of the cup. Thankfully none on the underwire. * Band is very restricted stretch. Seems to run at least 2 sizes small. Maximum stretch is only 28". Amazon's description says "For ultimate comfort, go up one band size." That's definitely an understatement! * Width of the wire is good for me; only 5.8". But there's not much depth at the wire. * Wires are definitely too long. They cut into my underarms. * Despite the gore being tall, it's narrow so it manages to lay flat. * Restricted stretch straps are removable. They attach with metal hooks. The front is wide-set. Back is kicked in towards the center.
This bra was one of my recommendations from Bratabase but in a 32H. The 32GG was too big pretty much everywhere. Cups too big, band felt huge, I felt like a little girl in my mothers bra. Fabric was lovely and I love the cut and I would definitely try this in a 30G to see if it's a better fit as it is gorgeous.
Late to reply, but I'm researching to buy the Shimmer Floral Grey Charlotte right now, in a similar size..
Your size recommendation for 32H was probably based on previous incarnations of Charlotte, that used to run super shallow!
Since the Shimmer Grey one came out, it's supposed to fit wayy more projected and run rather large, instead of small. Yay for unknown adjustments, right? >.<
Anyhow, thanks for your review - now I may go for the 30G or 32FF, instead of the 32G I was planning on!
Tess is basically the unlined bra version of the Parfait Dalis Bralette, which I quite enjoy. I ended up picking up Tess in the same Bare color as the Dalis Bralette I already have. Both are made from a cottony-looking modal blend fabric that is soft and comfortable, and both are decorated with lace details, although the lace is different between the two styles.
In terms of fit, Tess actually works pretty well on me. It is a 4 piece side support cut that is a little bit similar to Ava, but overall the bra measures a little bigger than Ava. Therefore, it fits well ...on my larger side, but the cup is a little empty on my smaller side. I plan to wear this with foam inserts though for shaping, so this isn't a big deal. Note that the side support panel is actually just a 4th piece of fabric and is not a true side support, since it does not have any additional reinforcement to push tissue forward.
The fabric for this bra is knit jersey with 5% spandex, so the cups have a bit of natural stretch. I think this would look best if the cups run a little tight, because the seaming is quite thick, and will definitely show under clothing. I get a much smoother appearance wearing this bra with the foam inserts than wearing it without, though the seams are at least slightly visible either way. Overall, cup shape seems to be balanced and rounded, and would be best for even shapes. The upper cup lace is stretch, and is finished with a strip of clear stretch elastic, so it should not cut into tall roots and can accommodate some upper fullness.
My only concern with fit and comfort is around the wires. While the wire shape is much more of a gentle C curve than other Parfait styles, the wires are quite long, and for some reason when I pull the band snug, the wires tend to roll inward, so the upper portion of the gore digs in a bit, while the bottom floats a little. The outer edge of the cup feels fine though, and the wires aren't too narrow. I'll see if I can bend the wires away at the gore a bit for comfort.
The band is soft, comfortable, and well-made with the same outer jersey modal fabric and an inner lining of mesh for additional stability. There's a small strip of plastic boning for stability as well, which I always like, but some people find uncomfortable. This is a full cradle style, though the elastic running through the top and bottom aren't particularly wide or firm, so it will probably not be particularly snug. Straps are a bit disappointing as they are simple narrow satin elastic. While they are fully adjustable, I don't feel the narrow width is appropriate for full figure bras, and plain texture means they can easily slip. This and the visible seams are probably the only design elements I think were not well-thought out. The only trim is a small bow at the center gore.
I think this is a great style with all the comfort of an cotton bra, but beware of the visible seams. If possible, I would size down in the cup as long as the wires still fit, as a snug fit in the cups will result in a better appearance. It seems to run just a little big in the cups, almost a half size. Read more 495 more words
Me: Average projection. Fuller on bottom. Slightly wider left breast (I suspect this breast is also 1-2 ml taller than my other breast). Usually wear 28DD or 30D.
I bought this on sale from BreakoutBras and it looks like it wasn't properly shipped. It came in a small box but the molded cups were a bit folded in. Anyways, this bra isn't for me. The bra seems like it would do a good job hiding nipples and it's comfortable. If I was very projected and totally FOB, then this bra would be good. I feel a bit of empty space where my nipples should be. It's enough that I don't want to keep this bra. Now the bra might be that way because of the way it was shipped but it still makes me uncomfortable.
(This review is for the original Adriana bralette. This style has been re-released and is allegedly truer to size, though I did not have any problems with this bra not being true to size)
This is my third size of the Adriana Lace Bralette in the older version, which many reviewers have complained runs small. I have not found in my experience that it runs small at all, and I find that it fits true to size in the band and a little big in the cup, due to the high cut V neckline. I started with the 30E after reading reviews that it runs small, ...found the cups a little too big, tried a 32D to see how a cup size down would fit, and ultimately also picked up a 30D as I prefer the 30 band and wanted cups that didn't come up so high. So far in my size range, the only size I have not tried is my normal sister size of 30DD due to availability, but I believe that would probably be my best size, so you should just start with your normal size in this style and adjust as needed based on preferences.
The band is firm and TTS. Because it has wide, firm wings with 3 rows of hooks in this size range, even the 32 band didn't feel impossibly big on me, but I definitely prefer the 30, which is my normal Parfait band size when 28 is not available. The 30D and 32D both have 3 rows of hooks, while the 30E I tried had 4. Almost all bralettes are way too loose for me in the band to provide any kind of support, so this is a great find. The wings are tall on this style but not doesn't feel quite like a longline as the 30E did, and there is a long piece of flexible plastic boning which adds extra stability. The band is made from double layered mesh and floral lace.
Now, the trickiest part of this bralette for me is finding the right cup size because the cups are cut very high, to the point that it will show under clothing. The 30E (1 cup size bigger than my normal size) fit ok, but was a little roomy in the cup especially towards the top. The 30E's cups and neckline were definitely too high for my tastes. The 32D would be my normal cup volume and I found it to be the best in terms of volume and shape, but again, the neckline was cut too high. The 30D's cups are a little too small, giving them a slightly pointy shape, but the neckline on me is much better for my petite proportions. Therefore, I would say that choosing the correct cup size in this style is both up to technical fit and personal taste.
The construction of the cups has more shaping than a standard core sized bralette, so you can tell it's designed as a full figured garment. The 2 piece cup is seamed vertically in the middle for depth, but there's also a separate horizontal piece sewn at the bottom of the cups that acts like a bit of a cradle. I believe this piece allows the cup to have more projection and yet still be seamed smoothly into the band without resorting to shirring. The construction of the cups is much simpler than the Panache Andorra Wireless Bra, but the fit is rather similar. The inside of the cups is made from silky knit fabric and is quite comfortable, as there are no scratchy seams to be found.
The stretchy floral lace is soft and nice quality, but Parfait decided to enclose 4 layers of fabric together in the vertical seam going down the cup, so this seam is definitely visible under clothing. The upper part of the strap is wide lace and tapers to normal elastic, but the adjustable portion is quite short. I had to shorten the straps down completely. Despite these shortfalls, I am surprised by how comfortable and supportive this bralette is, and if I add foam liners for shape, I would definitely wear this out of the house. I think this would be fantastic for plane rides where comfort is paramount.
If you typically have trouble finding small band, medium or large cup bralettes, I highly recommend giving this a try! I haven't tried the new style and probably won't until there are some more fashion colors, but I am pleased to see that the new style comes in 28 bands, and I would just start by ordering my normal size of 28E in that version. I really liked the Parfait Ava Unlined Bra in 30DD, so I wanted to try another unlined bra in this size as the 30Ds I tried in the past did not work. Originally I really wanted the Casey Molded Bra in the Rose Print, but the style just didn't suit me, so when I saw this bra in my size in the Casey Lace Unlined version, I picked it up immediately. However, unfortunately this doesn't fit the same as Ava, and is a bit too big on me.
The Casey Molded was too tall for me and designed for FOT shapes, so it didn't work. It ...turns out that Casey Lace Unlined is also designed for the same shape. Compared to Ava, Casey's cups are almost a whole size larger, as well as significantly wider. I would say that this in effect fits like a 30E instead of 30DD. The cups are too wide, a little too deep, and a little too tall for me all around. However, the saving grace is that it works well with foam inserts, so I can still wear this effectively as a t-shirt bra with foam lining, just not unlined like I can with the Ava.
The fabric is also a bit different from Ava, as the body fabric is made from silky printed stretch jersey and lined with nonstretch tricot. The upper cup is stretch lace lined with tricot backing, and the upper edge has a strip of clear stabilizing elastic. This is a 3 piece cup with side sling, and it's interesting that the bottom panel is one piece instead of two. Overall the cups do have a bit of stretch, which can be nice if you tend to have a bit of size fluctuation. However, as they don't fit me snugly, I can't comment on if the stretch cups are less supportive than the nonstretch cups that Ava has.
The same printed stretch jersey fabric is used throughout the bra, including on the band. The wings are also backed with mesh and have a slight leotard cut. Since the cups are too big for me, the band doesn't feel as snug as Parfait's 30DD bands typically feel on me, but it's hard to tell how much is due to the firmness of the fabric and how much is due to the fit of the cups. I wish I could have found this in a 30D as I think this runs a full cup size large based on comparisons to Ava, though note that as the wires are fairly rigid, you should be careful sizing down to make sure the wires don't get too narrow. The trims are simple, with plain black satin straps and a plain ribbon bow at the center gore. I love the rose print though, as it has a really retro 90s feel.
I think this is meant to be a simple, everyday bra based on its lack of frills and the soft, comfortable fabric. The stretch cups would probably be best for firm, full breasts that don't need a lot of cup support and have enough upper fullness to fill out the cup shape. The stretch fabric makes it a good choice for size fluctuations. Read more 444 more words
I was never happy with the first Charlotte in 28E Wild Pink that I purchased, but as my Charlotte collection grew, I realized that this style actually fits me quite well. The ones I tend to have an issue with are specific bras that are too tall in the cup for me, because the outer cup ends up too high and chafes under the arms, and the taller cups translate to some emptiness in the cup as well. Luckily, I was able to find another Charlotte 28E Wild Pink, and this one fits me much better.
The fit on this one is almost identical to my ...best-fitting Charlotte, the 28E Peach. These are slightly shallower and shorter in the cup than some of the other Charlottes in my collection. However, the Peach is a bit narrower than this Wild Pink, which is the only noticeable difference in measurements other than a slight variance in the cup height. Thanks to the slightly smaller cup, it fits quite snugly and I don't get issues with gapping or chafing.
The only downside to this bra is that the Wild Pink visually doesn't look as high quality as the other colorways, since the color contrast of the matte cup fabric and the satin frame is too obvious to look intentional and ends up looking mismatched. I also found that this particular bra had a lot more loose threads than usual. While Charlotte bras tend to have some sewing issues, this one had more loose bits floating around than normal. Despite this, I am still happy with this bra, and will repeat my advice: make sure to order from a returnable source, and try on multiple ones if your first Charlotte doesn't fit quite right! Though this bra has its inconsistencies, it has become a style that I really like (in the old version with rainbow tag). Read more 212 more words
(This review is for the original Adriana bralette. This style has been re-released and is allegedly truer to size, though I did not have any problems with this bra not being true to size)
This is my second Adriana Lace Bralette in the older version, which many reviewers have complained runs small. I have not found in my experience that it runs small at all, and I find that it fits true to size in the band and a little big in the cup, due to the high cut V neckline. I started with the 30E after reading reviews that it runs small, found the cups ...a little too big, so I grabbed a 32D to see how it would be.
Since the band is quite firm, the 32 band wasn't impossibly big on me as it normally would be, but it definitely rides up a bit in the back. It is comfortable and still provides support, so I don't mind it too much (I've actually ordered a second color in this size). The cup is one size smaller than the original one I tried, but I didn't find that they were much shorter or cut lower. The cups are still quite tall, so while the volume is good, I find it a bit too full coverage for my tastes, and have ordered a 30D to see if sizing down one cup size and going to my original preferred band size will help.
Still, the fit is great, and this is a super comfortable yet supportive bralette. The band on the 32D size has only 3 rows of hooks and is a bit narrower than the original 30E I tried, but it still feels pretty firm.
The downsides to this bra are the tall cups, which are basically designed to be full coverage, but can show under clothing.
After trying two band sizes, my best size is definitely a 30 band, but I am not sure yet if a 30D will be too small in the cups or if it will have the coverage I prefer. A 30D or 30DD would be my best bet in this style. Overall, this bralette is what I wanted the Cosabella Never Say Never Curvy Sweetie Soft Bra to be, but at half the price, and with a secure hooked band, and what I wanted the Panache Andorra Wireless Bra to be, though the one I tried wasn't in my size.
Best bralette ever! The modal fabric is incredibly soft and the lace is not itchy at all. The design is cute and actually pretty supportive. The seams in the center of the "cups" allow for more projection and keep my nipples from being as visible through shirts. The seams are sometimes visible through tighter shirts though. The band is surprisingly very supportive. I need a cup size up and will eventually buy it... probably in every color.
